Here I have one query
Can we able to activate the Batch management check in the material master-->Purchaging view or not,
if we have open or completed sales documents and deliveries for that materail.

How to remove Batch Management Check in the Material
I have one requirement to remove batch management check in the materials which should not be deleted.
I created a testing material with batch management check on and put in material through 561, then did good issue for
scrapping to remove the stock out. So existing stock is zero in Material Master.
Then deleted the batch in MSC2N by putting all the delete checks on. There was just one batch created for the material.
Then ran transaction MM74 to archive, the spool request is as below:
MCHB: 000000000010000498 2002 1002 D000000200 entry archived 1 000000000010000498
Archiving Session Number 000004
Number of Written Data Objects 1
Size of Archiving Session in MB 0,011
Proportion of Header Data in % 96,7
Then in MMPV changed the closing period to may as all the postings were performed in april.
Now still when I go and remove the batch management check in MM02 Purchasing view, still gives we DISPLAY ERROR message:
The batch management requirement cannot
be changed for the follow
Batches already exist.
ANY IDEAS why its not allowing me to remove the check as I guess I have performed all the steps required.Check whether the batch master is still exists in MSC3N .if it ia archived it should not be avialble in MSC3N

Reason and Prerequisites
The message that stocks still exist refers not only to stocks in the current period, but also to stocks in the previous period.
The reason for checking previous period stocks is that postings can also be made to the previous period when entering goods movements. This would result in inconsistencies if the base unit of measure had meanwhile been changed.
Solution
Check whether stocks still exist for the previous period by displaying; for example, the plant stock view or storage location stock view of the material. You do this by selecting "Extras -> Previous period -> Prev. pd SLoc. stock or Prev. pd plant stock".
If previous period stocks exist, you can make a withdrawal posting as follows:
1. Post the same amount to current period stock (for example, using movement type 561) so that previous period stock and current period stock are identical.
2. Make a withdrawal posting in the previous period for the stock together with posting date (for example, using movement type 562).
You can now try to change the base unit of measure or the batch management requirement indicator again.
Since the posting of the previous period values to zero is identical with posting to the stocks of the current period, you should reverse the above stock postings (that is, the stock from the previous period should be booked in again) to make sure that the stock values from the previous and the current periods correspond to the state before the change. However, note that the postings are then carried out using the changed master data from the current period (for example, account determination and so on) -

If you have checked Field reference ROH ( as material created with material type ROM & ROH assigned Field reference ROH),the field selection group 75 optional entry.
Then , now check *Field reference for material master in assigned to industry sector( the material created with) in t.code: OMS3 and here also make selection group 75 optional entry for *Field reference for material master in OMS9
Also make selection group 75 optional entry in OMS9 for for Field reference MM01 & 0001
Now try creating material master.

Default the Batch Management flag for some Material Groups
Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to Default the Batch Management flag (under T code MM01) based on the material grops.Like for example if the Material groups -01 then the default value for batch managemnet flag should be checked.
Our OMCT set up is -Batch unique at the Client level for a material

If there are open sales orders, production orders, deliveries and WM transfer orders exists then you can't activate the batch management indicator. Also any stock exists in the present or past period, you can't activate.
Go through SAP notes 533276 - Setting the batch management requirement indicator and 30656 - Change base unit of measure/batch mngt requirement for details.

Easy or flexible ways to deactivate the batch management!
Hi Experts,
In our company , we want to deactivate the batch management for some materials.
I know it is not an easy way to do this according to the SAP Note 30656:
to clear stocks of the current and the previous period as well as to complete the open documents.
It is very painful to do the standard procedure as SAP provide.
I want if there is some easy or flexible ways to deactivate the batch management.
For example , to change for new material number.
Or we can set the batch number value to a fixed value, for example "1234" for all these materils.
Are there any other easy or flexible ways to deactivate the batch management?
May be do not need toremove the batch management indicator in the material master?
Just make it simple for all the goods movement that with batch number value input?

Material forgot to tick the batch management but the GR and IR is done
Hello,
Material A should be in batch managed but the settings in the material master is forgot to ticked. PO is created as well as GR and IR is already completed. The invoice is posted and according to finance it is paid already and cannot cancel the invoice anymore. When trying to tick the batch management in the material master, an error is "Stocks already exist at plant level". Checking also MMBE, stocks showing in the Open Order quantity since the GR is cancelled.
Is there anyway I can tick the batch managed in the material master?to set the indicator is less restrictiv than removing it. so just make the inventory in current and previous period zero.
you can see how much inventory you have in thosee 2 periods in MM03 valuation view or plant stock view.

Reg: material needs the batch management
Hi All,
The material needs the batch management. We have created without the batch
first and the few movements were done, then tried to put the flag after the
stock remove and sales order deletion, however could not process. System
messaged as below in italic. Please let me know how we could change the MM
date for the batch. The sales order alive now.
The batch management requirement cannot
be changed for the following reasons:
SD documents exist (orders or deliveries) that have not yet been
processed or that have been processed only in part.

You should fully process the sales documents (sales order - delivery - invoice) or you should delete them and after setting batch requirement for your material master you could recreate the them (SO, delivery).

351 movmnt type doesnot refers the Batch managed items with respect to P.O
Dear SAP Gurus,
For Stock transport order, i am using the 351 and 101 movement type.
The batch managed items are provided in the Purcahse order and the same batch is displayed while receiving the material -101 movement ytpe with respect to Purchase order, but while performing the Goods issue - 351 movement type , the batch is not displayed in the line item.
Kindly help me to solve this

yes, the batch managed material is already available in both plants that is material already extended.
Manually the batch is entered by the receiving plant (what they required for STO), but while performing the Good issue against the Stock Transfer order the batch is not referred or automatically flows to the batch managed items.
in 351 movement type.

Synesis s.r.l.OFA uses its Task Processor rather than Batch Manager to run tasks in batch. Group solves can be scheduled this way by submitting the group solve task to the TP, and then rescheduling it in the Task Queue window.

Anil LokaHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got error when communicating to the server.
This happens when crawler is not able to connect to the server. Make sure server name is correct. Couple of steps to troubleshoot it
You should be able to ping the server from the server having crawl component. Make sure there is an entry for the server in the host file under c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc folder.
Ping <servername>
2. You should be able to connect to the server using telnet command
Telnet< servername> <port number>

If the issue still exists, you can delete the old search application and recreate from the beginning.
You can also reset the index and do a full crawl after.

I have user , I am able to login my own user id PSANTU in server data base, after that I had create Mobile Client/Replication Server with my user name : PSANTU , the I had go to Server management and -> Jobs and put comment /job Database Extract, then I had go job parameter set the parameter , Client Database encryption method:-None ,
Client Name:-PSANTU( my Id), Encrypt client Db password: False
Then I had submit the jobs , after 5 mint I got Status is success .
Then I had go ODBC connection here set DSN confiner, set , I got successfully , connection establish , then I had go SIEBEL tools I had try to login Local database , I am getting error here this my
Error : Cannot open connection to SPSIEBTRANING4 (this my server ). The Synch Manager component on the server is most likely unavailable.
Plz help me how I can create local database in my local machine

Have u extracted Local lDB on SADMIN . If not then there is no local DB to get connected so error is valid.
Extract Local DB at server client as SADMIN then populate Local DB
else
Check the parameters for sync manager.set max tasks = 100 & restart the component.
Check ODBC connection as well.
