Activations can not be deactivated?

Abode support called me after putting in a request to reset my activations and told me two things - it was not possible to reset my activation (I need to create a new account and lose the content on my PC) and the ctrl+shift e will deactivate the device but will not subtract 1 in the activation count. If we would like a de-activation feature. we need to put in an enhancement request. We are a library with a large ebook collection that requires ADE. We had planned to circulate several ebook readers. We would have the students download ADE on their own machines and activate the readers. They would then be able to download content from our vendor using their own authorizations, thus adding notes, etc. to the ebooks they borrow. The idea was that they would deactivate the ebook reader after using it. This would mean that after borrowing 5 devices they would have to create a new abode id and start all over. This just does not sound logical. I know that my account is locked because I did not know about the 5 device limit; I reset the devices thinking that it would deactivate ADE, but I figured if I got my account reset and deactivate each device after I use it I could keep under my limit. It sounds like once an activation is added, it is there forever. Is this correct and if so can anyone provide advise on how we can loan these ebook readers.

Activity can not post when do confirmation

Dear Gurus!
I have an issue now, when I do confirmation for production order. But some order can post actvity(in CO03 -> Cost analisys -> Activity actual) but some can not.
Do I miss any steps? I use BAPI to create comfirmation.

It is hard to guess some reason, you should carry out some comparative study between the production orders that are displaying this different behaviour. There are many factors to be considered....
1) The production orders are for the same material or different materials? If different, then check routings....
2) Use the same work centers or activity types....
3) Belongs to the same cost center ?
4) the operation is really confirmed but no values for activities ( chack if the problem is quantity , i.e. hours, or currency, based on the price od each activity type)
5) Check prices for activities in KP27....
and so on...

Feature can not be recognized

It seems I am facing a problem with feature can not be recognized for leaving action (PA40)
Leaving is supposed to have MSN 20 with program generated 1PAPA/FEAT000MSN20 but my client has different program generated which is $P00003U. How do I change it?

what is generate feature TCODE? Is it se38 for running the above program? I execute it however I have a message says "When recognizing the predecessors, youmay not specify a feature because the reorganization with subsequent activation can not be performed for a subset"

You need to add that attribute using the config tool for your view configuration. Select the attribute All Day from the context node BTDATE in the available fields to your display field and then save it. It should now be visible in your UI and now you can select or uncheck it to make the time field enable. Check the below image

Active Directory LDAP integration; can not see the XMLP_ groups/roles

We have configured XMLP 10.1.3.3 to use "LDAP" as the Security model. The LDAP server is Active Directory running under Windows Server 2003.
It is working to a certain extent:
Users can log on to the XML Publisher using login/password as defined in AD.
-When logged in as administrator, groups (roles) are visible in Admin/Roles and Permissions and can have assigned folders and data sources.
Problems/questions:
The required roles ("XMLP_ADMIN, etc) can not be seen in Admin/Roles and Permissions. Is this as expected or is it an error?
-When logging in as a user who is member of the group/role XMLP_ADMIN, I do not get any administrator privileges (I have not tested the other XMLP_* roles defined in AD yet). So all administration has to be done as the local superuser.
Is there any way to monitor the login process to try and see what goes wrong?

The problem has been solved, it was self inflicted, typo in the config file:
<property name="LDAP_PROVIDER_USER_DN" value="Cn=Users;dc=company,dc=com"/>
(semicolon instead of comma after Users).
It is a little surprising that this typo lead to problems with group matching, though. It took some time before this part of the config got enough attention.

Interface Manager Material Transaction can not be activated

Hi hussein,
One of the interface managers for INVENTORY module can not be activated.
I tried to activated it using:
Navigation: INVENTORY > Setup >Transactions > Interface Managers > Material Transactions
Goto Tools > Launch Manager > Submit Conc. program "Process Transaction Inferface"
Then after the job is completed, I checked the manager but it is still "inactive" status. :(
Its log says:

TS3276 Mail account set up. Can not receive mail-Everything is green in Connection doctor but when checking activity it shows stop signs. Was able to receive mail until last week then all of a sudden stopped receiving mail but no changes were made.

My mail account has been set up and working to send and receive mail for several months. All of a sudden I can not receive mail. The connection doctor shows all green lights. No changes have been made and nothing has been changed on preferences on IMAP and SMTP. I can send mail. My other accounts all send and receive mail. When you click on activity the list shows stop signs. All accounts show that they are online.

UPDATE:
I deleted all the messages off the server of the offending email address and everything works fine now.

How can we know if an entity is active or not in a given period in HFM??

In in the ownship management, we can see the child entity is inactive, but we don't know when it was inactivced, is there any table we can find to see if an entity is active or not??

Hi,
The best way that comes to mind is to make a grid where you have the entity and value dimensions on the rows and years and periods on the columns.
For entities you select the parent and the child you want to look at, value dimension members <Entity Currency> and [Proportion]. For years you select those which you want to look at and all the periods.
On the grid the [Proportion] should turn from green to red on one of the year/periods and that's the moment your entity became inactive to that parent.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.
