Activator request error

I've tried from two different computers to access downloaded ebooks through Digital Editions (after having authorized the computers through Adobe) and always get this message:
Adobe DRM Error
System: 7
State: 4
Class: 15
Code: 31
Message: Error on request or response from server.
Please check your network connection and try again.
Scroll below or view error.log for more details.
Your Adobe software could not be activated.
HTTP error on Adobe DRM Activator request.
Adobe DRM Activator error (client code 31; HTTP code 556).
Fault location: 15
I've tinkered with firewall, Web accelerator and other settings, to no avail and haven't found any posts speaking to similar problems. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

I had to reinstall Adobe Digital Editions after a hardware failure. Now I get this message. I can't read any of my purchased PDF books. I hate Digital Editions. Hateithateithateit. Can't escape it however. Too bad there isn't a better alternative product out there.
Does anybody know what in the world this error message means and how it can be fixed?

Also it's worth checking your firewall isn't blocking visits to the activation server at http://adeactivate.adobe.com. If you can see a 'Welcome to Digital Editions' message then your firewall allows access.
There may also be more information in your firewall logs.

Continue to get error "activation request could not be completed";

Let my battery run down to zero on iPad; now despite hard restore during which I see itunes reinstalling the software the final message is always "activation request could not be completed. Try again later" . Tried again over several days with same result.

Just wanted to update the community on my exciting adventure to fix my ipad;
I made my way over to the Apple Store here in South Florida and had my appointment with the geniuses. No one could figure this sucker out! They did every thing they could think of to the ipad without success. Couldn't even tell me what the problem was. All were very nice about it, of course. I was told to wait a day while they contacted the great and powerful central genius(es) but apparently no one was home there since they never responded to the request for help.
Anyway, I will go back to the Apple Store one more time before I give in to the conclusion that my 3 year old iPad (original) is DOA

Problem in Creation of Activity Request Questionnaire

I'm facing issue while creation of activity Request Questionnaire. After setting the status to complete & Clicking 'Ok' the activity is not getting created. Its showing 'Internal Error'
When I checked in Tcode SLG1 for error log, I'm getting following error.
I was not facing this issue with other activities. But when i use Request Questionnaire activity I'm facing the problem. The worst part is when i use this activity, all other activity start showing same problem i.e. if i skip Request Questionnaire & use other activity every thing works fine.

ODS Activation Problem - Error getting SID

Hi All,
I am facing the problem while activating the request,
"Error getting SID for ODS object xxxx.i know lot of threads are there in forum but those all are taking about while loading the data to ODS,Here i loaded the data into my first ODS(here fine) and then transferring the data to another ODS while activation of Data in second ODS i am getting problem.the second ODS checked the Bex reporting.
If masterdata not existis then it can be a problme in my first ODS but i didn't face any problem in First ODS.First ODS loaded the data from R/3 and second ODS using the datamarts.
Any ideas how to solve this problem.

Error message is 'The Request Error : 400' with SAP Download Manager

The authorization object SWDOWNLOAD (download software) is assigned to the My user ID.
But I could not download below that file.
SAP_ABA 710 (4~8)
SAP_BASIS 710 (4~8)
PI_BASIS 2006_1_710 (4~8)
SAP_BW 710 (4~8)
Error message is 'The Request Error : 400' with SAP Download Manager
I logged on to SAP Service Marketplace, software download area /swdc.
I have created objects in the download basket and have received approvals (->Maintenance-Optimizer) where required.
I start the SAP Download Manager and the objects from the download basket are visible in the object list of the program window.
After I choose "Objects for Download", the system starts the download.
In the info-line (in the lower part of the window), the system displays the message 'Processing object...' and then 'The request failed: 400'.

In these cases the following things should be checked:
1.- Please be sure that you are using the latest Donwload Manager version
2.- S-User and password should be active
3.- Specify the proxy. Please refer to SAP Note 155954
4.- It might be that you are not licensed for the product you want to download.
If the checkings above are correct and the problem is still alive, I would recommend you to open an SAP customer message under component XX-SER-SAPSMP-SDM providing the following information:
1.- The exactly software product name and package or stack number you try to download.
2.- Attach to the message the results of the trace file generated as per note 574885:
574885 - Download Manager: Generate trace file for analysis

Xmlhttp request error

We have a Flex applicaiton that is working fine using the xmlhttp request object for background communication. There is one user who consitently gets a xmlhttp request error (in IE6). The user can go directly to the url that it is trying to access, so there are no security issues. We tried disabling all the add-ons to the browser (except the flash active x control). We checked all browser security settings and other options and didn't find any differences that would cause an error.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior? Any suggestions on troubleshooting this issue?

i have the same thing happening. I have a person with two laptops both using firefox, on one laptop the swf functions as desired on the other there is a security error ( not a sandbox error - just a "security error") It is not a cross domain issue - which seems to be everyone's favorite suggestion, since the swf resides on the same server/domain its calling

in my case 10.0.12.36 version consistently produces the desired result where as 10.0 r32 has issues.

In addition to checking if employee is active etc,, you need to check that the user is connected to an employee. This happens in Infotype 0105 subtype 0001. The easiest way to check this may be via SE16N. Check table PA0105 and the usernam in field USRID.
BTW - the eror you describe will also happen if the user tries to access own data in portal.
The most usual error is the missing of IT0105 in my experience.

KMS issue – KMS not receiving Activation Requests from Servers

Hi,
I've got a very strange problem with KMS. I have recently inherited a SharePoint DMZ environment built using
Best Practices for Securing Active Directory and
CIS Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2. All the servers were built using MAK keys, which worked well enough until IT Security locked down firewall access. Now all the server are going non-genuine. My solution was to setup a KMS activation and
convert all the servers over. Seemed simple enough, even tested it in my Dev Lab no issues once the Windows Firewall was configured to allow KMS (TCP-in). So I set it up started converting servers to KMS, (slmgr /ipk). The client all Windows 2008 R2 Servers
started sending activation requests to the KMS machine, (Event ID: 12288). Here’s where the problems start, according to the firewall logs on the KMS Server it allows the request in but no Event ID: 12289’s are registered and the client display’s the
following: “Error: 0xC004F074 The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. The Key Management Service (KMS) in unavailable”.
Verified the KMS is active and listening on port 1688. Ran it again with Wire Shark installed and it showed the DCERPC protocol attempting to connect and getting “status: nca_s_fault_access_denied”. Began investigating RPC issues, found two RPC related GPO
entries in our Default Domain Policy and reference in the CIS benchmark referenced above.
Computer Configuration \ <policies> \ Administrative Templates \ System \ Remote Procedure Call
Restrictions for unauthenticated RPC clients
RPC endpoint mapper client authentication
Both are “Enabled” and the first is set with the following option:
"Authenticated without Exceptions".
So I proceeded to set these up in my Lab and… BOOM, killed my Lab environment. See

After I rebuilt my Lab, I determined the culprit was GPO entry #1 -
Restrictions for unauthenticated RPC clients -
Authenticated without Exceptions. My attempts at changing this option cause it to “hoop” my lab environment yet
again.
Question time:
Does anyone know how to change this option safely and to not cause the problems I’ve had?
Does anyone have any alternate methods or ideas for setting up KMS in an environment such as mine?

So we determined last this past Friday that I was mistaken, the GPO's in question were not in our Default Domain Policy as a thought...My apologize. They were however in our DMZ Base Server GPO, I was able to drop our KMS Server into a new
sub-OU (called KMS Activations) and then provide a GPO override in that OU for the following line:
Computer Configuration \ <policies> \ Administrative Templates \ System \ Remote Procedure Call\Restrictions for unauthenticated RPC clients
and set it to: "Authenticated".
Once we did this plus STOP and Start SPP Service, we ran Slmgr / ato on 5 servers to hit the threshold, the rest of the server activated on their own over the weekend.
Confirmed this morning, once we flipped the remaining servers over from MAK to KMS they activated on their own. Modifying our build template to have the KMS key now not the MAK.
Still not sure what grants KMS the exception to the GPO, assuming the Firewall?
The original was "Authenticated without Exceptions" verses the Current "Authenticated" so the only real difference is that exceptions are aloud if authorized
by something.

Activation server error when authorizing my laptop/adobe ID

Hi. Whenever I try to authorize my laptop to my newly-made adobe ID, I always got the message Activation server error code : E ADEPT REQUEST EXPIRED blah blah blah. Upon reasearching on the net, I stumbled on a blog that says that one of the problem might be the time zone. I'm in the Philippines, does that matter? How to fix this problem? I have copies of sample files (epub) for ADE and the program read/loaded the files without any problem. But when I tried to load a purchased ebook using the URLLink.acsm, that's when I encountered this problem. Please someone give me the step-by-step process on how I will be able to authorize my laptop.
