"Active angles" aren't actually active (screensaver issue)

Hello,
I have only one active angle (this is the literal translation, from Italian, of the angles that trigger an event in OS X) in OS X Mavericks: the lower left angle, which is scheduled to start the screensaver.
It actually doesn't. Nothing starts when I put the mouse cursor in it.
How can I solve this? I've tried disabling the active angle (under System Preferences -> Desktop and Screensaver -> Active Angles) and then reenabling it again, but with no effort.

What happens by removing the .plist files is it deletes the preferences settings for those system applications and they are automatically replaced with default settings after a restart or log-out/log-in.
This usually fixes problems with corrupt preferences. It is safe to do because you can simply move the preferences files (labeled with .plist extension) to the desktop and if it doesn’t solve the problem, the files can be moved back into the original Preferences folder to replace the newly created one(s), thus restoring the original preference settings.

Please correct me ASAP if I am posting this in the wrong area of the discussion forum.
I have a batch of Apple iPad devices that are now connecting to our Exchange 2003 system using Apple iPad iOS 6.1.2 10B147 devices. It would seem that these devices may have the 6.1 Active Sync issue again even though this version was meant to fix the issue.
A couple of users have reported this morning reoccuring calender cancellations, we have also had excessive log growth on Exchange 2007 platform.

Hi waddock,
I think that for the most part, iOS 6.1.2 resolved the recurring calendar bug and the significant battery drain issues. With that said, I have had a couple cases of devices still experiencing the battery drain but not the calendar bug. Quick fix is to remove the Exchange mailbox(es) from the device and re-add it. If there are any existing accounts that use Exchange ActiveSync (I think Hotmail and legacy GoogleSync), I just remove and add them back to just in case.
I suggest checking here for periodic updates on what's going on with EAS (Exchange ActiveSync) and 3rd party devices like Apple:

I assume you're an on-premise environment, so to mitigate short-term, you may want to think about blocking certain devices on certain operating systems using your Device Access Settings in Exchange for mobile devices.

SAP HR Active Sync Issue

I encountered SAP HR Active Sync issue: The IDM seems can't receive the IDOC but SAP side says the data already passed to port OK.
I enabled the verbose mode of the Active Sync logs and it is repeating:

SAP HR Active Sync resource reference says:
1. Enter transaction code PFAL.
2. Insert the Object Type P for person objects.
3. Enter an Employee's ID for the Object ID or select a range of employees.
4. Click Execute.
5. Ensure that the status is set to passed to port okay.
6. The IDoc has been created. Check the Active Sync adapter log file to verify that
an update was received.
Now why I can't see the IDOC logs in the active sync adaptor log file?

[SOLVED] Xscreensaver outputs log text above active screensaver

I'm having problems understanding why this happens. Running the latest xscreensaver and whenever I choose to preview or run a screensaver I get an ugly yellow log-like output either in background or foreground of the active screensaver. Only using
xscreensaver-demo
to change settings and starting the xscreensaver daemon from my ~/.xinitrc. A screenshot:

Problem solved: had to change the following X resource setting in ~/.Xresources from true to false:

Actual GI (gods issue) date and planned GI date

Can you explain about actual GI (gods issue) date and planned GI date? Can actual GI date differ from planned GI date? can anyone pls give me the ans.....

Planned GI Date : It is the date on which the goods must be physically dispatched from the shipping so that it can reach customer on the Requested Delivery Date (RDD) or on-time. It can be calculated as follows :
Planned GI Date = RDD - (pick/pack time + loading time + transit time)
Actual GI Date : Actual date on which physical goods movement happens from shipping point. Goods issue document to account for the outgoing inventory is normally created on Actual GI Date.

KSII actual activity price issue

Hi All
I want system to calculate the activity price automatically after running KSII and should update it in KBK6 so that i can revaluate production order with actuals by running MFN1. Now i have done all the configuration required and my plan cost are getting updated after i run KSPI and same is getting update in KP26 and are also showing in KBK6 under plan cost nd can be seen in Cost center reports under plan cost. Problem is with actuals
I have been reading the forum regarding this issue and all the inputs given by experts is been checked but i think iam missing something either a step in calculating the actuals or may be some tick in configurations
Kindly let me know the solution for an issue iam facing .

I had already done the setting in OKEW and all splitting structure configuration. Base on that my plan cost is been distrbuted in two different activities. Planning has been done in KP06 and after doing that only i ran the transaction KSPI.
But ya you got a point thats what iam feeling that there is some thing missing in my config settings which i already mentioned in my earlier posts.
What is the prb iam not able to recoganize kindly if you can give me some detailed information what could be the reason?
For your information i would like to tell briefly what i did so far:
1. IN configuration i defined splitting structure Say T1
2. then by selecting T1 i cllicked in assignment and assigned splitting rule say T10
3. then by selecting T10 i clicked on "Selection for assingment" in this screen i mentioned only one cost element say 55000000 in "from value" "to value" and in activity type i mentioned "from" 106010 "to" 106030
4. then i clicked back icon and selected "Splitting rules" which is T10 in my case and method i mentioned is "12- Activiy quanitity" and checkd the box called "Wt- Weighting Indicator"
5. then i selected my rule T10 and clicked on "Selection for rules" and here i mentioned my version that is 0
6. then i did config setting "Assign Splitting Structure to Cost Centers" over here i assined this rule to only one cost center say 31010401 in parameters i selected version radio box and entered 0 there
These all what i did in configuration settings
Now after this i did planning KP06 entered my cost center that is 31010401 and only mentioned my cost element which is 55000000 with my activity type 106010 and 106030 here i didn't took 106020 in consideration. Now these values are coming in my cost center plan report on debit side and then i ran KSPI cost got splitted in both the activiy types in credit side in planning section of cost center but the prb is the same which you know Actuals are not coming
Kindly put a light what could be the reason?

Activity confirmation issue

Dear Gurus,
We are facing issue in confirmation of Activity such as power , steam. As in process industry output is variable.
accordingly at the time of confirmation activity viz power , steam should varies is it possible?
In transaction cor6 we can enter manually units actually consumed.
My second query is
In T-code CORK and COID How to / where to enter actually consumed unit of Power and steam in screen? As users are using all the 3 T-code for confirmation.
Please guide me as we are facing cost variance in Process order confirmation due to activity.

COID is just reporting transaction.
COR6N is single screen entry transaction
CORK is header confirmation
When you do confirmation using CORK, all the confirmable phases in the order gets confirmed to the yield qty mentioned in the screen, this also take care of activity confirmation.No option to post activity seperately.

CCE Web Administration - Active Directory issue when managing agent attributes

I am experiencing an issue when managing agents (supervisors specifically) in CCE Web Admin. When attempting to add / remove / modify an Attribute for a supervisor agent we are getting an error that the supervisor must have a valid active directory account. (Screenshot attached) The agents that this is affecting are correctly configured in ICM as a supervisor and ICM was able to successfully move their AD account into the 'Config' AD Security Group. From looking at the logs on the AWS it appears that the Web Admin tool is attempting to lookup their account in AD via UPN by appending their username to the domain name.
Log Snippet:

This isn't going to work for some users in our account because we have multiple suffixes in our domain. (Our domain is a single forest and I'm not aware of a requirement to have a single suffix.)
I'm curious why it wouldn't use samaccountname which is what I believe ICM Configuration Manager is using. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Lo and behold, my AD sync started working.
Though I have added the site to my local intranet sites, I'm not very confident whether this was the actual solution. I've performed several actions configuring my farm before I started troubleshooting this issue again, so it might be another action that
solved this.
Alemaitre: can you try the following please:
See if the SharePoint Web Service site is started in IIS. If not, start it, see if that works.
Instead of adding the site to your Trusted Sites, try Local Intranet Sites (click Advanced to add sites besides using auto-discovery)
Turn the Security Level for the zone all the way down.
Turn off Compression for your site in IIS, do an iisreset, see if that works.
I've also had to remove a host header from my MySite portal (running on port 8080 here), unlikely for this to be the cause but it's just one of the things I did this morning :-)
Should I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Active Directory Issues 10.7.4 & 10.7.5

I'm having problems with all my 10.7.4 & 10.7.5 mac's. They're losing their connection to AD. When I got to unbind I get the follwing error:
Unable to access domain controller
This computer is unable to access the domain controller for an unknown reason. Warning: If you click force unbind you will leave an unused computer account in the directory.
I then get an option to ok or force unbind. If I force unbind if I force unbind I get the following error:

Interestingly enough, the problem doesn't seem to effect users runing 10.6.8 or my iMac which is running 10.8.2. I've spoken to network manager and he can't see anything strange going on, on the network.
I've also spoekn to our AD guy and nothing has changed.
This is now the second time it's happend, I've managed to get everyone working (before it happened again) by deleting the AD plist in /Library/Preferences/OpenDirectory/Configurations/Active\ Directory/ then rebinding via a scipt pushed out via ARD
If anyone can offer any assitance I'd be most gratful as I'm about to be shot by our users! as it's the start of our new academic year!

It's been a few weeks now, and (touch wood) it's not happended again on mass. We have had a few individual ones, but nothing major.
We still don't quite know exactly what happened, but trouble shooting found the following:
Our time server wasn't working corrctly centrifys ADCheck tool showed it as having a firewall (even though it didn't) our AD guy fixed that problem (sorry not sure exactly what he did)
We checked the AD kerberos ticket from a machine that lost it's connection to AD, on another mac that worked and found that it couldn't connect as the password was wrong. It seems that by default Active Directory ticket wants to change it's password every 14, and when trying to it's failing so I set it to 0
We had tried to set the server the AD plugin see's to a specific DC but this wasnt happening due to subnets not being configured in AD sites and Services
Some of the Mac's did not like being set to GMT in the time zone and the time was an hour out, people where able to login though! So I've now set them to Eurpoe\London and they're now picking up the correct time and even picked up the daylight savings over the weekend.
Our DNS is still not great but we are in the process of sorting out our subnets and when we do the consolodation we'll also asign reservations for all the mac's in the hope that apeases DDNS

Can primary and standby database have the same SID name?
As I recall it is yes.
I believe they must have different GLOBAL or DB_UNIQUE_NAME?
Anyway, RMAN I believe is telling me it is having problems copying control file on first and dies.

Permissions Issue on STANDBY machine?First problem I see is the sysdba password must be the same on both sides (target and auxiliary dbs).
From the documentation.
The source database and auxiliary instances must use the same SYSDBA password, which means that both instances must have password files. You can
create the password file with a single password so you can start the auxiliary instance and enable the source database to connect to it.Check all prereqs for the standby db duplicate here.

Deleting expired application logs is key to improving mass activity performance issues

During mass activity runs reference is made to the system's application logs during the process of line item selection. Performance based issues can be overcome by deleting old/expired application logs from the system, and rebuilding the affected table index. Based on my analysis on these issues, there has been a significant observation of 90% improvement in performance.

Depending on the performance trace observed using transaction ST12, if for instance the SELECT on a particular table takes the most time, deleting all expired application logs and rebuilding the table index will result in a significant performance improvement.
Yes 90% improvement will be observed across the entire mass activity run. In my example below I use table BALHDR.
1. Run report SBAL_DELETE to delete all expired
application logs from table BALHDR
    1.1. At the selection screen of report
SBAL_DELETE, set the radio button for the expiry date to 'Only logs which have
reached their expiry date’
    1.2. Under the tab for 'Selection
conditions', enter the affected transaction code. e.g FPVA
    1.3. To delete the entries, set the radio
button under the Options tab to 'Delete immediately'
    1.4. Finally, execute or use shortcut F8 to
delete logs
2. Rebuild index 1 on table BALHDR (create a
secondary index on the table).

Cisco ISE 1.3 Active Directory issue

Hi Folks
I am having an issue with our Cisco ISE and would love some feedback or a solution. I have to ISE configured to use our Active Directory setup and so far it appears to be functional. I could connect to AD retrieve groups and use AD for authentication. The issue I am experiencing is that when I try to go to the 'Administration > Identity Management > External Sources page and select our AD instance from the left hand side window the screen locks up and refuses to load. Any advice?

i also had this issue (and one of my collegue also) when using Firefox (version 34 and 35)
i managed to create the AD server using IE 10 for example, and after it appears correctly with Firefox
it was before ise1.3patch 1, but i have seen no corrected issue in patch1 release note for this problem
