Active call trace (on E1 line or in callmanager 3.3)

Can i trac? a out going call in a callmanager 3.3.
The problem is that a call is made fore up to 7 days now.
I know the destination call but I can?t trace de internal call/phone nr.
Can someone help me to find the dialing out phone number or the other way to find the out going channel in my E1 line?
Thx
Piotr,

Hi,
Thanks for replaying to my message.
I am familiar with that voice commands on a 6500. However it doesn't give me a clear view to sea the line or phone number I am trying to trace.
The command makes possible to sea active out going devices by ip nr. but not to which numbers they dialing to.
Is there a fast way within a callmanager or other module like MEIPS to trace a outgoing call.
thanks fore your time and effort.
Piotr

  • Is it possible to transfer an active call from a PLAR line to another extension? CUCM 9.1

We have multiple PLAR's set up that work great but not everyone has them on their phone. So the problem arises when someone who does not have a certain PLAR on their phone and wants to join the conversation. We had hoped that we could transfer/conference the call on the PLAR to the extension of the person who does not have it on their phone but get a busy tone as soon as the transfer key is pressed. Is this at all possible?

I am going to assume that you provisioned PLAR by using a "null" translation pattern (i.e. pattern with no digits). And that the phones will automatically connect to the PLAR destination when they go off hook.
When you try to do a transfer, the CUCM digit analysis process will use the same CSS logic as it does for a standard/direct call. So, the behavior you are observing is expected. You can't use a PLAR line as if it was a regular phone line.
Your scenario has sparked my curiosity. In my experience, PLAR lines are usually added to common area phones outside of a secure area or something similar. It sounds like you are using PLAR as secondary lines on user stations. I may be mis-interpreting your scenario but I am inclined to think that you may be better served by using other UCM features. More information about your requirements would be needed to give you proper guidance.
If interested then please share more info. Otherwise, the answer to your original question concerning PLAR is that it doesn't work the way you want it too.

  • No longer boots since update [kinit & call trace troubles]

    Hi all,
Recently I did a full system upgrade on a completely working system (running I assume was a 2.6.28 kernel26) that upgraded it to 2.6.29. It then stopped booting correctly. I left this for a while since I didn't have the time for messing around with it. Today I got back to it, used live cd, chrooted and did a full system update (to a 2.6.30 kernel) hoping it may have fixed it. No such luck.
Here is the error portion of the boot up/init:
    Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/sda3 ...
Root device '/dev/sda3' doesn't exist, attempting to create it
    /bin/mknod /dev/root b 8 3

My mkinitcpio.conf is untouched, as are the files in mkinitcpio.d.
    My FS is as follows:
    /dev/sda1 - ext2 - /boot
    /dev/sda2 - swap
    /dev/sda3 - ext3 - /
    /dev/sda4 - ext3 - /home
    My menu.1st for grub is:
    # (0) Arch Linux
    title Arch Linux
    root (hd0,0)
    kernel /vmlinuz26 rootfstype=ext3 root=/dev/sda3 vga=791 ro
    initrd /kernel26.img
The bizare thing is, if I change to root=/dev/sda4, I don't get 'root device doesn't exist etc etc etc' and it mounts it fine with no errors and then kinit drops to a recovery console instead of panicing.
I am not sure what to do now. Basically, what has changed since 2.6.28 that caused this in the first place?
Thanks in advance for any help!

This may sound like a silly question, but you did have /boot mounted within the chroot when the kernel installed right?
    --Does the arch-fallback initrd help?
--Boot into your recovery console and take a look at dmesg & /proc/partitions. Make sure your drives are being detected & what drives/partitions are where.
--More than one disk? ls /sys/block/[sh]d[a-z]/ should show you what partitions are on which disks.
-- Be sure root entry in /etc/fstab and on kernel command line are the same.
--More than one disk controller? Put the module in mkinitcpio.conf so the controller with your / on it gets loaded first  (I had fun and games with this during the ide -> pata switch)
+1 for the referencing partitions by UUID, you can also do it by filesystem label (root=/dev/disk/by-[label,uuid]/XXXX)

  • Substitution and activated the same at the line item level in order to subs

I have created a substitution and activated the same at the line item level in order to substitute the ZRSPL (Payment Block) field by a constant value and a vendor invoice is posted using Transaction FB60. But the same is not working. When I post a vendor invoice using FB60, Payment Block field is being shown as blank instead of the constant value which I want to substitute.

    Hi,
I am not understanding the logic behind the prerequisites mentioned in your query.
Payment block field exists only for vendor related line item.  However, you have not mentioned vendor reconciliation account in the prerequisites.  It means, this substitution will trigger for all the line items which is wrong.
    Or try following  options.....
    1) Substitution->Simulation
    2) Extras->Expert Trace

  • Isdn Layer 1 deactivated when there is no active call

    Hi All,
I am in Nairobi Kenya. Here we use ISDN Basic-net3 and my problem is that most of the telco switches here deactivate Layer 1 when there is no active call.
When I try to initiate a call by using the ISDN test call command I get an error to the effect that B channel is not available.
The only way I can initiate a call is I first call the line then and then disconnect. Then I have about 5 seconds to make a test call and pings are successful. How do I make the router initiate a call when layer 1 is deactivated.
the debug isdn q921 out has nothing till a call comes in.
I also understatnd that European ISDN switches deactivate Layer 1 when there no active call. I dont have a problem with one of the switches, coz it does not bring down the line when there is no active call.
    Thakx in advance
    Martin

    Thanks for the quick response.
    It is a cisco 1760
    The IOS is c1700-sv3y-mz.122-15.T5.bin
When I try to make a test call the show isdn status initially indicates that the router is trying to activate layer 1 then after 5 seconds it indicates that it is deactivated.

  • Disabling Active call window...cupc 8.6

Question from one of my users...is there a way to disable the active calls window when the user is on the phone?
I just got an earful about how annoying this is...
Thanks in advance for any advice...
    ~Ray

Not without disabling deskphone/softphone control and turning CUPC into an IM&P-only client. If you wanted to go that route you would want to disable the CTI, CCMCIP, and Audio profiles within the CUP Admin > CUPC/Jabber > User settings.

Contact your carrier and make sure you have call forwarding provisioned on your account. Or log on to their customer portal and see if you can check or set the option yourself.

  • Set Sequence Call Trace Setting for a SequenceCall Step

Hi there.  I need to edit a sequence file automatically with a LabVIEW program.  We have a program the is successful in editing and saving a sequence file automatically which goes in and does a few things.  However I also need to be able to go in and change a setting in Run Options for the top level SequenceCall steps in Main of MainSequence.  I want to be able to change the Sequence Call Trace Setting for the steps from Disable Tracing in Sequence to Enable Tracing in Sequence.  However I do not seem to be able to find this in the API call chin anywhere.  At this point I am certain that it IS in there somewhere, but probably hidden under an option mask for something.  Anyone know where I might find it?
This is NOT something I want to do at execution time.  This is something I want to do by launching TestStand in edit mode from LabVIEW to automatically edit and save a new version of the sequence file.
    Thanks!

Not sure if this will work.  I'm kinda bummed the To More Specific Class function wouldn't work.
The Automation Refnum going into the top of the TypeCast is using the NI TestStand Adapter API 4.1.1 Version 1.0 as the type library and SequenceCallModule as the Object.

  • Server stops working correctly after Call Trace

I use linux-lts on servers. This one is running 3.10.16-1-lts and today it got the next call trace. Before this I've suspected proftpd like a possible reason and have changed it to vsftpd. There were the same server crashes with proftpd. In this case server uptime was 22 days.
What does this mean ? How can I fix this ? Is any workaround ?

i'm a newbie when it comes to call traces, but i do see a lot of reiserfs related messages.
I'd check for harddrive problems, and if you use diskquota verify they are not the cause.
I have checked "smartctl -a" output and it show zerro Reallocated_Sector_Ct counters on both drives (I use soft raid-1 and I cannot run longtime disk checks). Also I have umounted /dev/md1 (this is separate partition for ftp service and assuming that trace contains strings about vsftpd) and checked it with reiserfsck -- no errors. Then I've mounted it back and checket quotas -- all seems fine. I cannot turn off quotas.
Seems that I get underground knocking problem :-) or electromagnetic compatibility problem ...

  • How do we know currently active call time in 6680?

How do we know currently active call time? Whenever we receive or make a call, how can we know the call duration in Nokia 6680?

    Hello!
Just take a look on page 27 of Manual.
Recent calls: Connect -> Log -> Recent calls.
Steps to activate call duration as follows: Connect -> Log -> Options -> Settings -> Show call duration. Select Yes.

  • My bluetooth headset connects, but it is not a source option on an active call. Why?

I get an icon indicating that the plantronics M1100 headset is connected and working properly on my display. The headset even asks me if i want to answer incoming calls. But when i say "answer", i can only use the handset or speaker phone. I cannot get an active call to go to my headset. This just started happening. If there is a setting i am missing in the iPhone 4s please let me know. thanks!
