Active Option in Eclipse Solution Explorer Team Sub Menu

While working on my 4th Unit Demo in Next Step of HANA Cloud Platform Development rui Activate the pal demo by clicking on Team submenu and then Activate option but i have only two options there one is apply patch and the other is share project, Why I don't have all those options in my eclipse which are visible in Rui Nougueira's IDE
Any help would be highly appreciated as i am stuck at this point

I have find out one solution and it works for my, you can check the discussion link on the Unit Page also. What i have done is remove the project paldemo from the solution explorer and import it from the repository once again but in repository i click once on activate and before remove make sure you run the sql part means inserting data on the cloud db. I hope it will work

Bridge CS4 on Windows Explorer context sub-menu - how ?

G'day all,
Have just moved across to CS4 from CS2, and I'm pretty impressed.
For CS2, there was a user-written script which added a command to the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer that said something like "Open Bridge here". Bridge would launch, already focused on the folder that was open when this command was invoked.
Is there any way to make this happen in CS4?
I like Bridge as it is, with the focus being sticky on wherever it was when Bridge was last closed. But this other facility extends its versatility ... I guess I just want everything !!

You need to add an entry in the registry. With notepad, create a file named BridgeHere.reg with this content:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\bridge]
@="Bridge Here"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\bridge\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Bridge CS3\\Bridge.exe\" \"%L\""
Replace CS3 with CS4 if you have CS4.
Then double-click on the file and answer yes. That's it.

Solutions Explorer - View features in chronological order

I was wondering if there was any way to re-arrange the features in the solutions explorer based on chronological order. The solutions explorer is slowly becoming quite cluttered despite my attempts at using a proper naming convention. I can expect there
to be several hundred features residing here in the near future. Currently the features appear to be ordered alphanumerically. Is there any way to show the features chronologically? It would aid in allowing people to easily see which items
have been worked on most recently without having to investigate each individual item.
I explored most of the options but was unable to find what I need. Any ideas? Possible alternatives?

Based on your issue, I tried to create multiple projects under the Solution Explorer, I found that it is default these project is ordered by the alphanumerically in the VS2013.
As you said that you want to order by the chronologically in the solution explorer from VS2013, I did some research about it, but I still find the official document
about it. So I think that it is not possible to set the features appear to be ordered chronologically for the solution explorer in the VS2013.

Suggestion: Please make a Visual Studio Solution Explorer that is similar to Windows 8 Start Screen

We have monitors now that are enormous and it is now the norm to develop on three or more monitors. Yet we still try to crowd project navigation info that pleads to be fully visualized into a tiny window as if expanding it is somehow a waste of space.
I mention Windows 8 start screen in the title of this post. I have no particular love for the start screen except that it is a different spin on a strict hierarchical display of information. I like that it has the objective of using all available
screen space to present information that would otherwise be shown in a tiny corner of the screen. So my suggestion in its most general form is for you guys to find a way to use the entire screen to allow a developer to quickly and easily navigate a large
VS project.
For example, even if I fully expand the Solution Explorer to take up the space of an entire monitor the top level nodes of my project take up a tiny fraction of the available screen space - I have to drill down up to 12 levels to reach my files. And when
I get to the point where I think I see the file I want, the higher level folders have scrolled off the screen so I loose my place in the project.
A couple of suggestions for a new Solution Explorer:
Edit: Make the Solution Explorer more like the Windows 8 Start screen or a file directory browser in the sense that Start Screen is a full-screen navigation screen versus a control that is primarily desigend to be docked. If I maximize Solution Explorer
on my monitor the MOST screen space it will use is about 20% down the left edge of my screen. Even with 80% of my screen left EMPTY, I am clicking and clicking and scrolling and clicking and scrolling in order to navigate to where I need to be. /Edit
Show an always-visible breadcrumb across the top of the window so the user can navigate up quickly and also maintain a sense of location within the project.
Show folders and files horizontally and vertically. USE THE ENTIRE WINDOW! Allow different views just as we see in Windows file explorer.
Allow (large) user defined icons to be associated with projects, folders and files. Instead of showing the same icon for every project in a solution, default to a unique icon. Thats why we use icons, right?
Allow projects and folders to have foreground/background color properties.
"Scope to this" on the context menu is great... please add the root name on the tab.
It would also be very helpful to display the full directory and solution name on the VS title bar to avoid confusion when working with different versions of the same project. There are a couple add-ons that do this... why has it become necessary for add-ons.

Hi,
OpenScript closed with unsaved changes and now I cannot get it to open again. I checked out the logs it was giving the below error.

Enterprise Activation Option not Present

I am trying to get my blackberry working. I do not have the Enterprise Activation option present -- either as an icon or under options --> Advanced Options.
I have read the KBs and can't find the solution.
Please help.
I have the password for the server, but can't activate it on my phone.
ps. I previously had this device setup for redirector.

please call you service provider and make sure you have enterprise plan set up for your BB and then take batt out and put it back in and go to Options-advanced options-host rotuing table and push menu and choose register now.

Enabling "Windows activation" option in the "Change Action Center settings" window

I activated Windows 8.1 Update Enterprise 64-bit.
I noticed, however, that, in the "Change Action Center settings" window, the "Windows Activation" option is disabled and picked. How come? How do I enable and unpick it?

Can't see my header file in the Solution Explorer?

Hi,
I am new to VS and I am working on a school team project where we use a git repository and when I created a header file I commit it, see it in the folder where I have it stored on my system and on github, but I don't see it in my Solution
Explorer in VS. I have used the properties->VC++->include directories and set the path but I still don't see it?

That's a great question. I have opened an .sln file because when I try to open a source control project I don't see the .vcxproj file and when I go into the git folder to open the .vcxproject a blank VS window opens. There is another file .vcxproj and when
I try to open that one it says modifying this may damage your system.

TFS 2012 - Running Builds From Solution Explorer Using Specific BuildProcessTemplate (*.xaml) File

I am curious to get some answers to the following and would be grateful for some help. This is the scenario.
I have a number of build process template (*.xaml) files currently existing in my TFS 2012 project. These include the default templates created originally for the Team Project and a number of bespoke templates. For illustrative
purposes, let's assume therefore that I have 6 *.xaml build process template files in total.
As is common practice, from my Visual Studio client, I often build my solution locally from the Solution Explorer window, after implementing some changes.
What I'm keen to know is whether I can build my solution from Visual Studio (as described in the last paragraph), by referencing a specific build process template file (*.xaml) particularly one of the customised ones described earlier, rather
than the default build process template.
Is this possible and if so, how can this be configured in my solution?

Thanks for your post.
When you build your solution in Solution Explorer using VS, VS will build your solution locally, it don’t invoke TFS to build your solution. Build solution using VS locally has no relationship with Team Build.
We suggest you create a CI or Gated Check-in build definition(using specific build process template) for your solution, then after you edited your solution, you can perform the check-in to trigger build definition to build your solution using Team Build.

Help, my solution explorer is out of reach and stuck there

Somehow the solution explorer popped out of the left side where I had it docked, and now the top window is above the bounds of my screen. If I resize Visual Studio the Solution Explorer stays there. I closed and reopened and it is still there.
Is there a reset window or an option I can open in Note pad and reset? I can't work at the moment.

How can I get all the options of Field Point Explorer 3.0.2 in Measurement and Automation Explorer 3.1?

I am a student using LabVIEW and Compact Field Point to implement a
senior design project in Electrical and Computer Engineering. We
have LabVIEW 7.1 and a cFP-2020 and additional modules. We are
trying to use the CTR-500 module to output a pulse train to drive a
stepper motor. We have found instructions online of how to do
this, but they all use Field Point Explorer. The instructions
make use of options in Field Point Explorer that are not included in
Measurement and Automation Explorer (the software included with the
cFP).
I have downloaded Field Point Explorer 3.0.2 and followed the
directions. Now, in LabVIEW, when I using the newly created .iak
file, I get a dialogue asking to find the SubVI: 'FP Read (Float Array
-IO).vi'. Included with LabVIEW are subvis for FP Read, but not
with the float array part. So I figure I cannot use Field Point
Explorer created .iaks with LabVIEW 7.1. So how cannot I access
the same options in Measurement and Automation that I was able to find
in Field Point Explorer?

Hi,
FieldPoint Explorer is no longer used to configure FieldPoint systems. However, I do not think that the configuring your system in FieldPoint Explorer is causing the error.
FieldPoint systems are now setup in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Information on setting up FieldPoint systems in MAX can be found in the MAX help under: Installed Products>> FieldPoint. Also, I recommend upgrading to the latest FieldPoint driver and version of MAX. The FieldPoint VI's will be slightly different when you upgrade, so there is a good chance that this will eliminate the error.

EIC ERP - mail alerts for when an activity is assigned to a processor team?

Does anyone use email alerts to notify a processor team to let them know a activity has been assigned to thier team?
How did you accomplish?

This is pretty common as we have done this at all our EIC clients. We use a custom badi to identfiy the reassignments and trigger an email to the agent's personal email account.

Menu Widget Parent & Sub Menu Both Active

Is there a way in a menu widget to have the parent menu active AS WELL as one of the sub menus under that parent menu at the same time?

This is a good example of the parent & sub menu being active at the same time while the user's mouse is hovering over the sub menu.... Thoughts on how this can be achieved?

C# Adding content to folder created in solution explorer.

Ok,i created folder in solution explorer but when i instert content to these folder it just doesn't appear in solution explorer.I tyed to scope in these folders and refresh them but nope that just doesn't work.Any suggestions?
