Active Script Easing Help (Solved)
Okay I have a simple menu that worked great in MX2004, but i
have upgrade to Flash 8 now the script doesn't work and was wonder
what am i doing wrong.
I have placed breaks within the code to see whats failing. It
looks as if the button On Release() never fire off now that I am in
Flash 8 AS 2.0. I have also tried to make the buttons MC and us the
onClipEvent (Release) but didn't help. Thanks for your help.

I've installed CS6 and web Premium on a Mac running 10.9.5, and Dreamweaver,Flash and Illustrator wont launch. All other components work normally. In Activity monitor it says Adobe switchboard failed to respond. Can anyone help solve this issue?

Hi everybody, I am in Turkey on a long assignment, I need help solving a big problem on my macbook pro os 10.9.3. 1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
Paste into the window of another application.
Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

When I try to run my script, it say "(null.)" When I try to compile it or save it as an application, it says "Expected end of line, etc. but found end of script." HELP!!!

Usually I use IE7 for testing my WD-Applications with enabled active scripting.
Now I thought I disable active scripting on my client in order to test server-side rendering
of plain html...
I only get the error: WebDynpro Exception: Client Does Not Support JavaScript
What´s wrong? I expected an other result... Thought WD is sooo flexible ???

OliverThe article that you have chosen is rather old and represented some of the design goals of Web Dynpro back in 2004 before the project was completed. I see other items in the article (like the Dynpro/Web Dynpro integration for ABAP) that were dropped before the final release of the product as well.
I believe that quote you focused in on was:
"While smart browsers (Internet Explorer as of version 5.5 and Netscape Navigator as of version 7.0) can run our client-side JavaScript, future versions of the Web Dynpro runtime will send server-side generated HTML without any scripting to every other browser."
What you need to understand is that the idea of having a clear separation between the CSF and the SSF was an original design aspect of Web Dynpro that was elimated before the final product was delivered to market. Part of the reasoning is that mainstream browser usage advanced to the point where the need to support non-JavaScript browsers was largely a moot point by the time Web Dynpro was released. Therefore producing a rendering engine that has no scripting no longer had much value. So deactiving scripting support in Web Dynpro today, does result in the error message that you received by design. You can always check the latest supported browser versions for Web Dynpro by viewing the Platform Availability Matrix on the Service Marketplace.

Web Dynpro rendering is still abstracted and very flexible. Today we focus this multi-client rendering approach on vastly different rendering technologies. We can output to the HTML with JavaScript and AJAX, to Adobe Flex and to the NetWeaver Business Client (.Net 3.0 runtime). You are absolutely right, for LabVIEW 2009 scripting is activated automatically. More information about that could be found here. For LabVIEW 8.6 you'll have to follow these instructions. The above links are valid for VI scripting.

If the screen is not showing anyting when you press any of the buttons you may want to try these steps.

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

IE with active scripting off, how many clicks!
Watching on IE seems to take an unbelievable number of clicks to get watching started. What should be the link held in my favorites? I have the password saved and remember me etc chosen. I want to have active scripting off for my Internet zone and just want to add all BT and associate domains to the trusted list. I believe I have done this but it seems I have to: 1) change settings to allow active scripting for Internet. 2) sport.bt.com 3) login 4) loads of clicks before watch actually starts the viewing 5) turn active scripting back off before any other browsing How many times do I have to click Watch before BT accepts I want to watch it. Viewing actually works OK for me 20MB wifi, 50MB wired. I know there are other options such as FireFox, but should it really be this hard on IE?
User troubleshooting after a restart is a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it happens again, then a restore from backup is the next step. If that does not correct the problem, then you restore the device as new, and without adding any content to the device you test for a period of time. If it works, then you can try restoring your backup again, but if the problem returns, then the problem is in your backup. You will have to restore as new again and sync your content back manually.
It could have been a software glitch. Considering the number of devices sold, and the different configurations you will find with people setting them up, small things can happen. It is also easy to turn the device into Airplane mode with the Control Center. If it happens again, try the troubleshooting I listed. If none of that helps, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider for your location. It is an electronic device, things happen. -

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

When you try to copy data to the external drive, what happens? If you don't see any error, the external drive is formatted in NTFS, and OS X can't write in it.
To be able to write on this external drive, you have to use an app like Paragon NTFS. Another solution would be to format the external drive in FAT32 or exFAT with Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html Make sure you copied all the files of the external disk to the internal disk before doing it -
