Active sessions showing no data in pie-chart

Hi All,
Does anyone know why my Enterprise Manager cosole in Oracle 10g installed on windows xp professional is not showing any data? Availabilty is always 0% for the instance ORCL and the active sessions pie-chart is always showing 0.01 since May 17,2005.
Can anyone tell me how to configure EM so that instance ORCL and the active sessions start showing data again?
Thanks

What errors were you seeing in the log files, i am experienceing the same issue but the listener appears to be fine.

  • How to show negative value in Pie Chart from Webi?

    I have below example data, I want to convert this to a pie chart in Web Intelligence, my problem is after I convert it to a pie chart, the revenue '-30' is shown as '30', looks like the pie chart is not suppor the negative value to show, I want to know if there is any workaround or solution to make the pie chart to show the negative value? Is this behavior is by design? do we have any official document to explain this?
    The product I used is BOE XI 3.1 SP3.
    Department    Revenue
    A                      100
    B                       -30

    Why are you showing this information as a pie chart? It doesn't make sense to try and display a negative slice in a pie chart. I can't really think of a logical way to try and draw a negative slice in a pie chart. With a pie chart you will need all your information to either all be positive or all negative, otherwise it doesn't work.
    What you need is to have a bar chart, with positive and negative values on the y axis.

  • Possible to show null data in bar chart?

    I am creating a report that has a chart that charts when a part was rejected and who it was rejected by (customer or internal).  The problem is, that when I create the chart it does not show dates when there is no rejection.  I would like the chart to show each day for the month even if there was no rejection.  Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Cody

    hi Cody,
    for missing dates, there's a bunch of solutions reviewed here

  • Show complete date range in chart

    I created a table of three columns -- date, person 1, and person 2. Under each person and across from each date is a value (the person's weight). The dates run from March 2 to June 9. When I turned the data in this table into a simple line chart, the chart shows data values only from May 8 to June 6. I have recreated the chart several times, thinking that I must have missed highlighting some of the cells, but I get the same results every time. What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can offer. Dick

    Hello Frederick,
    A single unit (1.0) of Date/Time is a Day. You can enter a Date, format it to your liking, do math on it, and create strings that combine dates. Here's an example:
    The expression in the Week Range cells under Start Date-> is:
    =$B$1+(ROW()-2)*7&"-"&$B$1+(ROW()-1)*7-1
    Give it a try,

  • SAP BO XCelsius : Drilldown from pie chart to raw data ( Excel Spread Sheet) in Xcelsius

    Hi,
    I am working on a dashboard where my requirement says, Drill down data from Pie-Chart to Raw data ( Excel Spread sheet).
    Clicking on one pie should show me the required data in Excel format
    May I know if this is possible to create from Dashboard design tool SAP R4
    Thanks
    Javeed

    Hi Javeed,
    Drilling data from pie charts is very much possible. The data drilled down can be shown either in spread sheet format via components called "Scorecard" "List View". But if its specified that you need the current data drilled down to a separate excel spread sheet only then, you may need to use the third party components for it.
    There are many such components available for free. There are components available which are paid as well. You will have to find out which ones are free. Check out the threads below.

    Hi ujain82,
    Because you have some data provider,so some metric may have no conjunction,i suggest that you creat variables to reuse them.

    Attached is part of the sub-vi where I am having the problem. I tell Excel which cells to use for the pie chart. If I use "Source 1" (8 cells) the pie chart is created successfully. If I use "Source 2" (14 cells) the pie chart only uses the first cell. I can go to the Excel file and select all 14 cells manually and the pie chart displays correctly. I also tried 9 cells with no luck, it seems that 8 cells are the limit. I am trying to find what is causing the limitation. I have also attached the sub-vi.

  • Is there any way to scroll pie chart labels

    is there a way to have a scroll bar for the pie chart key
    Many thanks

    Hi,
    I haven't found how to make legend scrollable but I can suggest to put list box with color alerts. The listbox will  show each series of pie chart and color alerts will indicate the color of each slice.
    So, simply instead of using pie which can't support scrolling in the legend put listbox which supports it.
    In addition, I believe you have already been asked for showing values on each slice of piechart. On this week, service pack 3 have been released. By using this service pack, you can start to show values on the charts.

  • Interact with PIE Chart in iphone

    Dear all,
    I've got the request to implement MII screen delivering some data through PIE Charts. This should be deliver through iphone. The request is to have to capability to interact with the applet (or the legend), to drill down to the data behing the chart, and providing later an igrid with more details about the summary displayed in the chart.
    As far as i know the iphone doesn't support applets. And if i display the chart as image through a servlet, how the user can drill down and interact?
    what could be the approach then? What are your recommendations?
    I'm using XMII 11.5.

    Dear all,
    Thank you for the feedback. I will take a look to the examples. I'm not entirely sure if the issue is related to the data format.
    This is part of my code
    $(function () {
         var capa= [];
         capa =$("#capas").contents().find("body").text();
         data=capa;
         //data =[ { label : " Open ", data : 121 } , { label : " Overdue ", data : 188 } ];
    Basically the data comes from an iframe that contains a servlet that gets the data from the database. Then i formated the data through the XSLT. When i assign the hardcoded data that you seea as comment, the pie chart is displayed. When i assign the data that comes from the iframe it doesnt't work. The data i see in the iframe looks exactly the same as the hardcoded string. If anyone sees the problem will be great.
    I will play with the examples provided.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Kindly activate the data request. Post that, Under "request available for reporting" a symbol will appear which means that the data has been moved to Active table and is available for reporting at further levels.
    And you can then check for contents in the active table of the DSo, you should get the records.
    Change log: Contains the change history for the delta update from the DataStore object into other data targets, such as DataStore objects or InfoCubes. It makes sense in case of delta uploads.

  • Showing Data in A Pie chart

    As part of a school wide intiative i must show pre and post test data in my classroom. I must be able to show how many studetns were proficient on the pre test and well as on the post test. I have my data all ready to go with each kids test score. How do i create a pie chart that show the percentage of students with a 85% or high?

    k,
    Select the Data in your Table.
    Insert a Pie Chart.
    Set the label display format option for "%" or "Number", as you wish.
    That should do it.
    Generally the best place to start with charting is to sketch one, as you imagine what you want it to look like, and most importantly, write in some labels describing the chart. That helps you to think about how to construct the chart. Unless you know what it should look like, it's difficult to know what data to chart and what options to use.

  • Show pie chart data block by block

    Hello experts,
    imagine you have a list of suppliers and their invoice volume. Now you want to display the suppliers in a pie chart, but as this list can be quite long the pie chart gets complex.
    Now it's the question whether it's possible to display only N values at one time (e.g. display the first 10 values, the second 10 values and so on).
    I know that you can use the Top N-property in a query, define N as a variable and display the (e.g.) Top 10, Top 20 and so on values. But that's not what we need.
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Thanks in advance and greetings,
    Daniel

    I think that should have been fixed in Design Studio 1.2 SP01, if its happening in a newer release, then it is unfortunately a regression:
    1953578  - Chart values defaulting to 1 or 0
    The expected behaviour is to display the percentage share in the chart, and the absolute value in the tooltip.
    Best regards,
    Victor

  • Pie Chart: How to capture data pertianing to the section  whereUser clicked

    In the UI there is a 1) Pie chart and a 2) table with search fields below the pie chart both displaying related information.
    we have a requirement to allow the user to click on various sections of the pie chart lets say it has two sections 1) one showing number of people with insurance as 75% and 2) another people without insurance as 25%. when the user clicks on the area representing 75% then the search fields related to the table should be automatically populated with the data related to that region of the pie chart (75%) lets say if there is drop down that allows the user to search for people "with" and "without" insurance then it should be set to "with insurance" since the user had clicked the area in the pie chart that pertains to percentage of people with insurance. basically, looking for some examples that would help us find out how to implement this feature since new to ADF?

    Use clickListener in Pie Chart.
    For details, check the documentation:

  • Pie chart legend showing digit "1" when we set "ignore blank cells"property

    All,
    We have pie chart in Xcelsius 2008 that shows the data with legend value and we have also set the ignore blank cells property to ignore the blank value from column. but once we set this property, it displays the digit "1" in the legend when there is no data.
    we are expecting that nothing should be displayed in pie chart legend when there is no data for the pie chart.
    Thanks,
    Sourabh

    hi Sourabh,
    I could replicate your scenario.
    Workaround is to create a duplicate of this chart. Go to properties of this new chart.
    Go to Appearance ->
    Uncheck
    - Legend
    - Mouse-over values
    - Data Labels
    for this chart.
    Write a logic in excel using 'IF' to verify if your data is empty.
    Use 'Dynamic Visibility' feature to display this chart only when your data is empty.
    Display your original chart if your data is not empty.

    Vamsee
