Active status of "sub network" exists indicator activity

Hi Friends
Activity elements have been added to an Activity,  still "sub-network" check box is inactive on overview screen. All the relevant data have added or copied from patent activty.
- when can we view that <b>"active</b>" check box - <b>subnetwork</b> exists on overview screen of ativity and also on acitivy element.
- In network graphic could not maintain relationships to activity elements beacuse those activity elements are not visible on network graphic. why?
Can any one help on these issue how to go?
Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs and suitable reward points per return.
Thanks
Sudhakar

Dear Sudhakar,
Activity elements are not regarded as subnetworks. This is the reason why you
don't get the flag "subnetwork exists" set.
If you assign a network into a different network's activity, only in this case you will have a subnetwork and the flag will be set. In order to do so you much create the
child network normally in CN21 and then, in the network header (in tab Assignements) you can specify the parent network and activity.
If you now call the parent network and navigate to the activity, you will be able to see that the "subnetwork exists" flag is set.
Regarding the network graphic:
It is not possible to view activity elements in the network graphic. This functionality has not been designed.
Please also bear in mind that no relationships can be maintatined between activity elements.
I guess you have been mistaking the concept of element and subnetwork. If you use subnetworks instead of elements, you will be able to build relationships and also to display them in the network graphic.
I hope this helps and clarifies. Please reward if useful!

  • One plant with ML active status and another plant without ML active status

We have one ML active plant under the company code X. We need to create another new plant under the same Company code  but we don't want to activate Material Ledger for the same as all the material in this plant are of consumable nature and maintained at Price control "V". Can we do that? Please give your advice.

    Hi Mukesh
usually, this is not recommended by SAP... I read this in one of the notes, I dont have the note now...
However, if you are not going to have any stock transfers from the ML Active Plant to the ML Not active plant - you can think of it
But, as far as I know, this is not recommended by SAP, Though technically it is possible

The number of contacts is limited by the number of connections that you can have through the Network Address Translation Table. NAT for short. I am assuming you mean peer to peer and not Plug N Play PnP. There have been many router complaints regarding the NAT table being to small. Use the search feature at the top of the forums page and search for NAT. Other option is use your own router that is not supported by Verizon. Your ONT would need to be setup for Ethernet and if you have TV the Actiontec would need to be connected to your router. Remember custom router configurations are not supported by Verizon residential FIOS. There have been loads of postings about how to use your own router.

  • How to block status profile in Network Activity

    Dear All,
Is there any way to block status profile in network activity? Is it possible block base on network type / network profile?
    Cheers,

    Hi,
we can block the status profile by using network type. Define your own order types in txn kot2_opa.same will be displayed in txn opsc with out status profile. assign the same network type in network profile.

Could anyone suggest how I can debug this issue.

    Sosa,
When i run the wfstat nothing wrong in the info. unable to find the issue.
But, i have narrow down the issue. In the function process in my workfow i am calling a custom function called update_approval_status_new.
In this the value of the respond notification to be updated to a header table of this workflow and insert into events tables.
When i comment these two dml ( update to header status & insert into events ) there is no error.
Can any one tells me can i update and insert custom tables in workflow or not. If I want to do this, what is procedure.

  • How can a session have an ACTIVE status with a WAITING state

    Hi all,
I would like to know the difference between status and state of a session ?
    The documentation says :
for status ACTIVE : Session currently executing SQL
for state WAITING : The session is currently waiting...
How can a session execute a SQL statement and be waiting at the same time ?
    Regards,
    fcjunic.

    Hi fcjunic,
It's really not paradoxical, once you understand the definition of the terms.
First, we have V$SESSION.STATUS, which can be ACTIVE or INACTIVE. A session is ACTIVE if it's in a database call. So, think of this from the client side point of view. A session does a parse call, or an execute call, or a fetch call, etc. For the duration of that call, till control returns back to the client, that session is said to be ACTIVE.
From the time the calls returns, till the time of the next call, the session is INACTIVE.
Next, we have V$SESSION.STATE. This is probably more useful to think of from the server process point of view. This refers to whether the server process is currently running, i.e. on the CPU, or WAITING, i.e., waiting on a resource. Possible values for this column are WAITING, WAITED KNOWN TIME, WAITED SHORT TIME, and WAITED UNKNOWN TIME. Of those possibilities, a session is only actually waiting if STATE is WAITING. All the other values mean that it's no longer waiting, but is running on CPU.
A session w/ STATUS of INACTIVE, will always be in STATE of WAITING, waiting on the 'SQL*NET message from client' wait. So, in that case, it means the server process is waiting around for work to do. It's in between calls, so, STATUS is INACTIVE, and it's waiting on that network port, to receive the next call from the client.
An example of a session that's ACTIVE and has STATE of WAITING, would be a session that's, for example, doing a full table scan. So, it's got lots of data to read from disk. While the session waits for the read from disk to complete, the session waits on 'db file scattered read'.
Finally, for completeness, the difference between the different possible values of the STATE column. I already covered WAITING. If a session is not waiting, it's now on CPU, and it previously waited. If so, it either waited more than 10 ms, in which case it will report WAITED KNOWN TIME, or less than 10 ms, in which case it reports WAITED SHORT TIME, or timed_statistics is false, in which case this column will always be WAITED UNKNOWN TIME. Also, it's important to pay attention to this column, when trying to interpret the WAIT_TIME and SECONDS_IN_WAIT columns.

  • FM to get activity status AALK

    Hi
I am looking for the BAPI or RFC to find the AALK status of activity within a Network. I have network number with network detail and activity number.
    Thank you
    UC

    Hi
you can use FM STATUS_TEXT_EDIT in order to get the system status of the network activity you mentioned. It is returning in "line" the system status of the object. (meaning it could be something like REL AALK... therefore it contains the status you want to locate).
In order for the FM to work you need to provide the object number of the network activity. This can be found by linking tables AUFK and AFKO (through aufnr=network number that you already know) and then AFKO and AFVC through (aufpl).
In table AFVC, field VORNR stands for the activity id and the OBJNR is the table field you need to provide to the FM to work.
You can try to run the function module in SE37 and check the result before proceeding in anything else..
    Hope it helps

  • CAT2 - Activity Status not confirmed

    Hi,
I am using CAT2 to record the working hours of a network activity for a particular personnel. After releasing the project,  i input the actual working hours and save it. The status of the activity is not getting confirmed. I am not getting the actual cost in the project.
But when i confirm the activity directly through CJ20N the actual cost is getting posted.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kabir

    Hi Kabir,
Check the Data Entry Profile in CATS customization and see if -
    1. Auto-release of time data is enabled. if yes, then Release not required after CAT2.
    2. Checkbox Approval Required is flagged. If yes, you have to approve the time data entered in CAT2 by using CAPP.
I assume the following in your business case:
    1. Work center and activity have been assigned to activiity in PS.
    2. Allocation (rate) is maintained in KP26 for the combination of cost center assigned in the work center and activity type assigned in the activity.
Now, when you select this activity is CAT2, the work center and activity type gets defaulted. Please confirm. If not, we will see it separately. To deal with the present issue, if it does not get defaulted, enter manually in CAT2.
Referring to the first para, please do the rest of the processing (release and approval, as appropriate) and carry out Transfer to PS (CAT5). The time data entered, approved (if required) and transferred to PS must reflect as actual work against the activity is PS and additional status PCNF should get appended in the activity. You should be able to see actual cost booked against the activity.
Please try this and revert. Hope this works.

    Rahul Tarapure

  • Update activity status based on Customer request status,

    Hello,
I have a requirement to update the status field of a service request activity to Completed when the service request status = closed. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    SKJ

If the field they are updating is in the same object it shouldn't be an issue. If another object needs to be updated then the workflow won't work.
Integration events can be used for this. generate a event and have a external process poll the integration event queue for new events. when received, it can do whatever is necessary via web services.

See if you can "exploit" CRM_COPY_BADI and function modules CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN to change the User status or CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN for System status.

  • Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later; Have been trying to fix for ages.

Hi Everyone, been struggling all day to restore my settings on my ipod, as my little brother has put a restriction password in place and made me not able to get into Safari, iTunes, Camera which I really need. I have tried everything, resetting my proxy settings, turning off the firewall, changing my network location, ran diagnostics. Everything seems fine on that, I post below my results. I also tried restoring from the device, but with the restrictions code in place I can not do so. I have been using google for ages and am not sure what I have missed.

    Thanks,
    Darcy Welsh.

    Hello Darcy,
I'm not exactly sure what is happening and think that a lot more information would be required, so technical support might be your best bet.
My guess would be that your sessionbean method is hitting an exception in user code that is triggering the transaction to be marked for rollback, and thus not allow any SQL execution. Try putting a try/catch/debug statements in your sessionbean method to find out if any exception are occurring.
    Otherwise more information such as,
    - the complete exception stack trace
    - how are you configuring your session, external connection pooling, which transaction controller, etc., does it work with normal connection pooling
    - what exactly is the sessionbean doing
    - when exactly does the problem occur, are there concurrent process, etc.
