Active sync problem driving me mad

Hi I have a work active sync account on exchange 2010. Every one at work is able to connect properly with iPhone iPad android but when I try to connect it it works and everything syncs then it keeps asking for a password. It's extremely annoying as no one else on different phones has an issue can you please advise what the problem is thanks and when it will be fixed thanks

How to fix an active sync problem

All,
I came across some issues with active sync that I could not find reference to in Sun documentation that we found a fix for. Read and enjoy.
Problem: Active sync stopped working for no reason
Reason: Too many users were attempting to be updated at the same time. SARunner was not running.
Fix: Manually delete the invalid TaskInstances from the database.
Process:
Stop active sync
Find the invaild task instances
Oracle SQL Code to find errors:
SELECT * from object where type='TaskInstance' and ATTR1='EXECUTING';
Delete invalid task instances
Oracle SQL to delete invalid TaskInstances:
DELETE from object where type='TaskInstance' and ATTR1='EXECUTING';
After this is done commit the changes to the DB.
Active Sync can now be re-started.
It should start functioning properly at this point.

There were no problems what so ever. The integrity of the repository was not affected. I did this as a last resort because nothing else I tried worked.
One of the other side issues we were having was viewing tasks. When all tasks was clicked on I was getting invailid Object references. The Object reference ended up being the ID of a task that failed to update users because of an invalid character that IdM can not apparently parse. We had about 16 of these entries in the table. Active Sync no longer worked. We made the decision to delete the records from the table, we backed up the DB, then deleted the invalid records. I also checked in the other tables and could not find reference to the invalid objects anywhere. Once I deleted the records active sync began to function again after is was cycled and the system was brought back to full operational status.
Apparently someone created a new security group in AD but when it was created they did not use a normal "-" in the name. I think the person used MS Word to type the name, in some cases word then substitutes a special character in for the dash that looks longer. This character was the root of my problem. I had someone go back and change the name of the security group and changed the dash to the right dash and that solved the root of my problem.

Active sync problems / syncing only first time

Hello!
I have a Xperia Z3 and everything works fine, except the Active Sync with my one.com account.
The syncronization only works the first time directy after setting up the account. I can be shure, there is no problem with password or server adress because it syncs (even if it only works once)...
The next time i try to get new e-Mails the mail app says something like "no connection to the server." (Thats not the original error message, but its translated from the german error message)
My first attempt was to change the sync interval and tried from push to 10 minutes everything. Did not work.
I then deleted the account and established it again. Did not work.
The little syncing symbol next to the selection box always stays grey and does not move.
Does anyone have the same problem and/or can help me?

Hard to say what's wrong here as i haven't seen the issue before. But as it says that their ActiveSync support is in beta and i haven't seen the issue before i would suspect there are issues with the server and that it will work also with our client in the future.

Exchange 2003 migrate to Exchange 2010 - single forest multiple domain. Active Sync problem

Hi All,
I have AD single forest and multiple domain. for example, the forest domain is jakarta.co.id, and the other domain is bali.co.id.
Exchange 2003 deployed in jakarta.co.id, User mail enabled in domain jakarta.co.id and bali.co.id.
Then, I upgrade to Exchange 2010 (deploy in jakarta.co.id) and move mailbox from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.
All users in bali.co.id are able to access email from Owa, BlackBerry (BIS), Outlook, but cannot access from Android, Windows Phone. (Active-Sync).
I got error information generated from https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com, as following:
Attempting the FolderSync command on the Exchange ActiveSync session.
The test of the FolderSync command failed.
Tell me more about this issue and how to resolve it
Additional Details
Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500 response (Internal Server Error).
Active-Sync still not work even I check option "Include inheritable permissions from this object" in security tab.
any idea to fix this issue?

Exchange 2007 Active sync problems.

I am trying to get an iPhone/iPod Touch to be able to sync with our Exchange 2007 server. First, I can sync windows mobile divices with the accounts. Second, I can sync if I use our internal network (via wifi) and the internal address for the mail server. Lastly, if I move the device outside our firewall and change the mail server to our external address, I get the dreaded "account verification failed."
I have read through over 200 forum posts (here and everywhere I can find) and I can't find an answer. I have ports 993 and 443 opened and mapped through our firewall. Again, Windows Mobile devices work. I have tried the remote connectivity tester and it says activesync is configured correctly. I have a godaddy SSL certificate for my SSL.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I am actually using an iPod Touch to test right now. I have 3 users with iPhones and 3 with touches. The touch i am using is a week old with the latest firmware. I am using WIFI outside the firewallwith the touch, but have also used over the air with the same results on one of the iPhones. We do not require data encryption.

I tunes problem driving me mad - please help

Hi, I've just got a new laptop and have installed i-tunes on it. I have copied all my music to the hard drive from my previous computer and i-tunes has has automatically placed all of the music in the i-tunes library. The problem is that for some reason the library is showing 3 copies of each song even though there is only one of each on the hard drive. i have tried removing i-tunes and reinstalling but it is still happening. i have looked through the i-tunes settings but can't work out why it is happening. i dont want to have to go through the library deleting songs as it would take forever...
Has anyone else had this problem? any help would be greatly appreciated

sometimes different songs are placed under one name and also it looks through multiple directories.try to single the folder out for music and then it might work

HT4199 Wifi problems driving me mad!!

Is there any way to improve the wifi signal strength on my iPhone 5. I recently upgraded my home broadband and router but the signal quality is very poor. I often lose it just sitting across the room. My old iPhone 4 retained a signal anywhere in the house and even in the garden. My daughter now has that phone and is still as good as ever. Any suggestions?

I would not use H.264 as an intermediate codec, as it is pretty lossy, and doesn't edit well in FCP, as it uses partial frame information as part of its encoding.
Neither would I I'd like to use it as an archival codec for news footage. 80GB a day of largely motion free interview and exterior shot footage are just begging for interframe compression.

All is symmetrical. When I switch to full screen display, the artwork moves a couple of inches to the left and the display is therefore asymmetrical. Why and how do I correct it? I was having the same problem, but tried the "Top Button + Home Button" reset and that did work for me. My unofficial guess is that perhaps RAM caches get filled through daily use of various apps leaving no memory for cover flow. Resetting the phone on the phone itself seems to reset that RAM. I can't say it's a cure-all, but it solved my issue. Hope this helps.

The default font remains Myriad Pro until you change it, either in the RGB/CMYK Startup files or in the preferences, options depending on versions.
Concerning missing font names, I believe this may solve it:
Open System Preferences and go to Accessibility. Next, select Display from the source list along the left, then check the box labelled Reduce transparency.

Check carefully. Perhaps you are trying to copy 9 GB plus 1.3 GB for a total of 10.3 GB. That would give you the message you see.

Problems in using Msync with IPAQ 3760 and Active SYnc 3.5

Windows NT workstation
Active Sync 3.5
I am using Active Sync 3.5 which does not need RAS
configuration on the machine.
I am unable to run msync.exe. It does not give any errors
messages.
The 9i lite documentation talks about RAS settings.
If anyone has faced similar prob coudl you please let me know
the solution.

You do not need to make a RAS connection with Pocket PC 2002,
because now ActiveSync itself makes an IP connection, and
Oracle9i Lite just needs an IP connection for synchronization no
matter how you establish it. Hi, I also experience the same problem. Using PocketPC 2002 I have a pasthru connection. Ik kan browse on the Internet with Internet Explorer, so the connections works.
mSync just seems to do nothing. When I press the Sync button, nothing happens (not even a progress bar).
Any idea?

Exchange active sync - multiple problems

I am having some serious issues with Exchange Active Sync. I just set up 2 new accounts from scratch - both using EAS. One is a gmail (for apps) account and another is a hotmail account. The google account I have set up to sync only emails and the hotmail account I set up for emails and contacts.
The gmail account is not pulling anything but the latest email in my inbox, even though I set it to "No limit" under mail days to sync.
The hotmail account is only pulling 764 contacts out of 1278 that I have on hotmail.
Both seem to be stuck in this state no matter what I do.
Any ideas? I am using iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.1.
update: just sent myself a test message and it looks like the emails got sync-ed properly. the contacts issue persists. i created a new contact on hotmail and it sync-ed just fine, but there are many contacts on hotmail that are not coming through to the phone.

I've been looking into this for about a year off and on. More recently it seems to be iPads/iPhones that are the worst. Even the latest iOS 5.x. It does seem to be people who travel a lot and/or jump on/off wireless a lot.
Deleting the device partnership does at least for a short time, resolve it in most cases.
I have a little script I run against the logs to show top user syncs. Basically, they do sync constantly all day and night up to 80,000+ hits per day on the ActiveSync frontend server (Exchange 2003), which is about every second or two. I know of a couple of people who got new phones because there battery was dying like crazy. It was just the sync problem killing them.
Anyone else have any info regarding WHEN this starts happening for a device?
It also happens with Android and Windows phones. It may be worse on iDevices for us because a lot of the people traveling have iPhones and/or iPads.

Active Sync strange problem in E6

I am using Active Sync for Gmail on my E6, Belle.
Background
I don't have any multimedia, or apps installed in C drive. It's clean and has only system files.
Problem
My C drive memory was 180 MB in morning. It came down to 120 by 2 pm. By late evening, I have around 50 MB left in my phone memory. I have an "always on" data plan. Is it possible that Active Sync has been storing data on my C drive continously? If yes, then should I delete some mails? I don't want to delete mails since of course, I need them. If I delete on my mobile, my actual Gmail inbox mails will also get deleted.
I want to know what has been consuming memory space on C drive. I used to use WhatsApp, now that has been unistalled.
Is it possible that Active Sync is the culprit?
PS: On another post I mentioned about this problem, but after a hard reset I got memory back from 10 MB to 180 MB finally. But again, the memory space is going down hour by hour. E6 was supposed to be error-free, as per Nokia marketing. I worry about less-aware and unsuspecting people out there who are using E6. They are in a soup. What is they face the same problem?

and then i have designed new one JDBC-Proxy-File withOUT BPM
now in this case to check this scenario when i update JDBC the CC channel is showing healthy and Process started... in CC monitoring...
But data is not picked from JDBC and either updated...
i have a doubt withOUT BPM JDBC Sender side will work r not..
I have tested for onley File-Proxy-file with out bpm...
give me suggestion where exactly the problem is ....

Active Sync start problem

I have weired issue with Active Sync. I am doign this test with FF active sync.
When I start first time it always starts and when I stop and try to restart, it did not start and give me no error. I have to bouce my server to restart it. Can some one throw some light on it if you ever had this situation?

As u mention u are not getting error. may be u have tested it but i think u get confused besause when u restart active sync its status is not refelect immidetelly on the screen. but it's started just refresh page or activesync status and check is it now showing started or pause state.

Problem with Active Sync Process in Flat File

I have a flat file (Employee.csv) as a resource. I populated that data into IDM using Active Sync.
Ive created another flat file that is empty (CopyEmployee.csv) and added that as resource to IDM.
By using the Active Sync process I want to populate the data from Employee.csv to CopyEmployee.csv.
I tried but unable to get the output. Is this really possible ?
Im using IDM 6.0 on SunApp 8.1

Nope, flatfile is a read only adapter, to the best of my knowledge. You can use it to feed IM, that's it. No recon, nothing else. That's coz IM doesn't maintain a state for it (just does a diff with an index file during ActiveSync).
You can think of maintaining a simulated resource on a file though.
