I am creating an invoice header in Payable through open interface in r12. I have inserted one line in ap_invoices_interface table.
When I run Payables Open Interface Import request, it completes normal but invoice does not create.

REP-0004 warning: Unable to open user preferance files

Hi,
I am new to R12. This is the upgradation project 11.5.1.2 to R12. we are newly installed the R12 application and 10g database.
I am going to customize the standard report 'Printed Purchase Order Report', the rdf file is 'POXPRPOP'. but it is not getting any out put and xml tags also. even standard report also not getting any output and I noticed in logfile that the error like 'REP-0004 warning: Unable to open user preferance files'.
I have tested in backend, its getting the data. then I have added command MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT('S'.org_id) in before report trigger also. but getting same issue.
Could you please help me wheather I need do any setups/modifications in RDF or Application. This is very urgency.

Active user report has different responsibility start date than inquiry for

I have a user for whom I see a different responsibliy start date in user inquiry form than what I see in Active user report for the same user.
Any idea why it is this way?
This tells me that inquiry forma and active users are pulling responsiblity start date from different place.
Please help this is a big problame for audit.

Have you verified the value from the application (Security > User > Define)?
If possible, please post the query you use to get the start date.

Create a user report showing feedback

Hi,
I want to be able to give end users some way of viewing feedback (to prevent duplication and check progress) raised against an application and was thinking of using a interactive report that queries the wwv_flow_feedback table. Is this a suitable method or is there another ( more convenient/declarative ) method I could/should use. Any feedback is gratefull received,

You can create end user that can login to application builder, but access only to team development.
Never tested what kind privileges user then have e.g. delete feedback.
But I do not think it is bad idea create app where is interactive report top of APEX_TEAM_FEEDBACK view

No, not $ORACLE_HOME, but simply $HOME, the login home directory. I had that problem, and moving prefs.ora to $HOME solved it.
About the other error, assuming that Windows and Linux machines connect to the same DB, and since you say that on Windows same programs compile and run properly, then one thing I can imagine is of upper/lower case names, that is on Linux something is not found, while on Windows it is, being Windows case insensitive. Just a thought....
Could this be related to the environment variable set-up in my .bash_profile file ?I don't think so. If this was the case, then no programs should compile.

Rep-0004 error

Hi all,
when I run a report in unix server side its giving me the error
REP-0004: Warning: Unable to open user preference file.
REP-0546: Invalid parameter input.
The report is working fine from windows client machine.
I removed all the parameters from the parameter form and removed the check from parameter form builder also.
what could be the problem?
Im using Report Builder: Release 10.1.2.0.2

It might be an issue with the reports server.conf file.
Could you remove the current reports server and recreate it.

There is a standard SAP report which shows the number of active users in the system (output same as AL08).
Does anyone remember this?

Activity reports showing only the status of UME users. It is not showing the status of the users coming from LDAP.

Show active user in EP 6.0 SP12 on WAS 6.40

We have a "simple" issue. How do we see a list of active users in EP60 SP12.
The perfviewer tool for this release does not show a list called "user sessions" any longer (does on EP60 SP2).
Also the iview "Activity report" only shows zero's even when users are online (and we did activate the application i service configuration and restartet)

What is a "logged in user" on the "Active Sessions" report in CF8 Server Monitor?

I was looking at the Active Sessions Report (The Chart View) and saw I have more "logged in users" than "active sessions".
I had expected them to be nearly the same.    It's on our Intranet where I log users in (using cflogin and cfloginuser) at the begining of their session and users should be logged when the session ends.
I couldn't find a detailed explaination of what a "logged in user" means.   There is a chance that the same user is logged into a nested application as well as the Intranet, but I don't think that is what I'm seeing.
I also don't see a way to get a list of what CF is counting as a logged in user. I can only see a way to get the total count.
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you Michael for the reply, but I don't think that is the issue.
When a user opens their browser on the intranet, a session begins and they are logged in (using the cflogin and cfloginuser).    If they close their browser, the session should hang around for 20 min. (per the server setting).   I am assuming this is still considered an "Active Session" since I can see this behavior in the report.
At first, the Active Sessions and Logged In Users are exactly the same.   When the sessions start to time out, the active sessions are reduced, but the Logged In Users remain the same.    Then, after a while, they start to move together. So I have more Logged In Users than Active Sessions.
I left the Server Monitor open last night and for most of the night, I had 0 sessions, but 57 "logged in users".   This morning, as people opened their browsers, the Active Sessions and Logged In Users moved together.   The gap of 57 looks consistent.
It looks like people are remaining logged in after their session ended.
I am really looking for a detailed explaination of "active session" and/or "logged in user" as used in the server monitor. It would be really nice to find a way to list the details about each item counted in the "logged in user" and not just the total count.

Hi,
What is the type of the report? Is it bitmap? If yes, please make sure that the DISPLAY is set properly. Also, change the report type to text and see if you can submit the request successfully.
