Active window will not stay active

Just started having problems with the active window turning NON active every 5-10 seconds. Constantly having to click on window to continue typing.
Using the new OS 10.9

It sounds like you are just using an application like normal, and out of no where focus changes from the app you are currently using, and you need to click back into it to make it active again. I wanted to recommend a couple of things here. First close any other apps that you have open and see what happens:
To force quit an application, choose Force Quit from the Apple menu (or press Command-Option-Esc), then choose the unresponsive application in the Force Quit window, and click Force Quit.
Optionally, you may be able to Option-right click the application's icon in the Dock and choose Force Quit from the contextual menu.

Windows Will Not Stay Selected

Menu bar app windows, as well as other windows will not stay selected. To type on some of these windows, I have to click on the window after every letter or else it will become unselected.

vanborki, welcome to the forum,
it sounds as though you have a corrupted userinit.exe file as safe mode also insn't working. Have you also tried last known working configuration? You could try replacing the file, google can help here.
Worst case is that you have caught some spyware, this will not only have corrupted your userinit.exe file, but also changed the registry entries. There are methods of fixing this using BartPE boot discs.
Your drive will be accessable allowing you to attach it to another system and copy your important files. A system recovery may be the easiest option to get your ThinkPad up and running again.

HT4528 Hotspot will not stay active...

I know this is a battery saving technique, but I need my iPhone 5 hotspot to stay active even if my iPad and/or Macbook Pro goes to sleep. I work on an Airfield and drive around aicraft all day. I might drive around the taxiways or runways for 1 hour without needing it, then when I find a problem, I need the hotspot active so I can report the problem immediately. Sometimes I have a plane directly behind me and it's extremely unsafe to sit there, turn the hotspot off, turn it back on, then wait for the iPad to see it, then report my issue. I need everything to work right away. Has Apple thought about giving us the option to leave the Hotspot active even after what is connected to it sleeps? Even if the option was only available while it was plugged in. That would work for me.

This issue annoys me too but unfortunately has no solution.
Once the device is conected you can leave your hotspot setting and use it. If you leave the device connected to the hotspot for too long then it will disconnect and you have to reopen the settings app. You don't, however, need to turn hotspot on and off, simply waiting for it to be picked up should work fine.

My ipad will not stay activated after upgrading from version 7 to version 8.

After upgrading from version 7 to version8 I cannot keep my ipad activated. I have tried online tech support and visited an Apple store with no one able to tell me what is happening. Some said it might be had ware problems. Other say it might be software problems. With vs 7 I never had the problem.. I have anolder ipad with vs 5 and do not have the problems. any feed back from anyone.

Adobe Reader 9 bookmark pane will not stay active

I have created a manual in Word 2007 then created a PDF. In Adobe Pro 9 I created links in the manual that links to a second document which is the glossary.
If you open the manual in Reader 9, the initial view is set as Bookmark Panel and Page. When you click a link and go to the glossary then select "Click to return to the previous page view", it returns to the manual but it has Pages Panel and Page as the initial view.
I have the initial view set to Bookmark Panel and page set in the manual, but it changes when I return to the manual from the glossary. Does anyone else have this issue? It did not happen in Adobe Reader 8.

In Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader) you can change the initial view of the PDF documents.

My finder home window will not stay the way I set it

How do I keep my Finder window opening the way I leave it? Everytime I reboot or use folders in finder window my home view changes from icon to list or size changes. I reset it and it stays for awhile then changes to other view.

You will have to change the Home Page to the page your want to display. In order to do so, follow the steps below:
* Go to Options (i.e. \Firefox\Options\Options);
* Go to the General tab;
* Under Start-up - enter the URL in the Home Page URL box.
Also, make sure that you have chosen "Show my Home Page" under "When Firefox Starts" (use the drop down arrow).

My Firefox window will not stay highlighted.

It doesn't matter what website I am on. Every 5 seconds or so the color changes on the top blue bar. I can be in the middle of typing something (like this) and then it stops like it is inactive. I have to click on the page to start typing again.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

My firefox browser window will not stay in full screen mode, it keeps reducing itself so I can't use the scroll down button on the side, so I have to constantly minimize and maximize to get to the scroll bar, How can I stop this?

Like I said it happens every few minutes... It is annoying when you are on the internet for more than a few minutes because you constantly have to either minimize it or reduce the screen manually by hitting the button and then maximize it again to get the scroll bar to be in view to use it.

I did this and it fixed it for several days, but it broke again eventually.

WRT54G v.5 will not stay connected to new laptop/Windows 7 Premium. It continuously runs through a cycle of detecting, connecting, losing connection; detecting, connecting, losing connection, etc. A the router runs through this cycle, basically acting as if I have disconnected then reconnected to power to reset it, it disrupts my Internet connection to both my wired iMac and other, wireless desktop upstairs. Paid for Linksys support today and through remote access he set up a new network on my desktop (iMac). After he finished, the problem still existed. When I told him the problem hadn't been fixed, he told me just wait for an hour or so and it should work itself out. It, of course, did not work itself out. Any ideas out there?

Never mind-I seem to have fixed the problem with a simple firmware upgrade. Funny how the Linksys support technician didn't think to ask what version of the router I have or suggest that I should try upgrading the firmware first. He was, however, quite good at trying to upsell me to a new router instead of trying to help me fix the problem I was having. Makes me want to go buy Netgear next time, thank you very much!

It would appear that you are destined for the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum since your question is related to Photoshop Elements and not Premiere Elements which is the focus program where you have posted.
But, while the arrangements are being made, here are a few things for you to think about if you have not already
1. Reset Tools - Select Brush Tool, then
2. Delete Settings File
Go to Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the option "Reset Preferences on Next Launch".

Activity Stream Will Not Load

Hi Guys
I'm having more problems with Adobe's *&¥±∑βΩ%^ing cloud!
Now that's off my chest, I'm using a Dell Precision6700 with a Win7 64bit OS. I've been trying to update AECS6 since last week but it crashes at 50%, with a corrupted file message (I've raised this on the AE forum).
I've tried closing my firewall but no dice, so I thought I'd logout and back into the application manager. First I couldn't logout; "quit" was greyed out but I didn't exit the programme and everytime I reopned the AM I was still in it, even after rebooting. Next I "quit" again but closed down for the evening. This time I did exit the manager. Now when I enter my details I get back into the manager but the activity stream will not load (I just get the little wheel going around) until the screen just closes by itself.
For someone unimpressed by the Cloud in the first place these types of glitches are not winning my heart and mind. Can anyone tell me how I might fix this simply, without having to buy a new laptop?

Photo stream only maintains photos for 30 days. After that they are deleted from photo stream but not from any devices than have already downloaded the photo stream photos. When you enabled photo stream on your new phone you were only able to download photos that fall within this 30 day period as the others are no longer in your photo stream (even though they remain on your other devices).

My password manager will not remain active. It keeps going blank?

After the latest update, 35.0.1, Firefox dumped all my passwords and will not remain active in keeping passwords. I must keep checking the "Remember passwords for sites" box every time I use Firefox and enter a website. I will download version 36.0 now that it has just notified me.
