Activesync confirmed but nothing appears in email,contacts, or calanders

I have been batteling this since 7/11 and still have gotten nothing to pull down. I can sync any windows mobile phone to my sbs 03 box, but this IPHONE does nothing. I spent hours on phone with apple and they sent it to the engineers. I have tried all of the suggestions with domain/username, modifiying IIS directories, ect.... I am very dissapointed with this. Active SYNC is not that complicated, well it shouldnt be. I will post any information that APPLE sends me.

This is exactly the same issue I am having since Friday. And I can't believe it is not being addressed by Apple. I did find this on their support site, but it did nbot help me:

So, they know that something is going on there...
Now, i just spoke for more than an hour with Apple Expert support... they did NOT fix my problem, but here some clarifications:
a) You do NOT need the enterprise ATT plan to make the Exchange email to work.
b) They told me I might need to install a certificate on my iPhone (?)
c) I might have to go the IMAP4 route (stupid answer)
So, since I only believe point a) I think it is time for Apple to jump into this thread and start deliverig answers..

    Yes, that's correct. If you don't have the songs that are currently on your iPod also in your new iTunes installation, they will be erased from the iPod if you sync it. Best to start afresh by first transferring all the music on your iPod back to your new computer/iTunes library.
    For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

    For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
    Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
    Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
    One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
    Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola.
    If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
    iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
    There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
    Once all the music is safely back in your new iTunes library, you can sync your iPod as normal.

    My account password for itunes has been reset because of me trying to log in too much with the wrong password, it says that it has been reset but nothing has been emailed to my address.  What do I do?  It has been years since I have logged into my itunes on my old computer and I have put off buying any music because I want to get this fixed and not loss the ability to play the songs that I have now on my ipod.

    Try it again and keep checking your email, it also depends on how fast your Internet is because, I used to have a really slow Internet connection thing and it would take hours or even a day!! If you have another apple product like phone, or iPod see if you can go on there and try it. I'm not that advanced with this stuff but it works for me!

  • Computer turns on but nothing appears on the screen

    I have had this desktop computer for about 2 years. I usually use it almost daily and turn it off at the end of the day. Every few months or so the computer would turn on but nothing would appear on the screen. I would have to hold the power button to turn it off then turn in on a couple times or wait until the next day and the computer would turn on and everything would appear on the screen and work perfectly. Last week, the computer once again turned on but nothing appeared on the screen, except this time, after a week, the computer will now turn on except there is still nothing appearing on the screen. I no longer hear the fans running, however, I hear everything else running as normal. I have unplugged and re-plugged in all the cords multiple times and still, nothing.

    Try to launch your Mac in Safe mode by taking these steps:
    - Click on the Apple sign() at the upper left corner of the Desktop, select 'Shut down' from a drop-down menu;
    - Wait until your computer turns off, then press the Power button(⌽);
    - Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift(⇧) key. It should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone;
    - Release the Shift(⇧) key when you see a grey Apple sign() and the progress bar below;
    This will force the system to perform several maintenance routines and load essential system software.
    Once you've seen the Desktop
    - Open Disk Utility application:
    1. Click on Finder at the bottom of your Desktop;
    2. Select Applications folder from Finder's left sidebar and then open Utilities folder (or press Command(⌘)-Shift(⇧)-U), double-click on Disk Utility icon;
    - Choose your main hard drive from the left sidebar ('Macintosh HD', usually);
    - Click on 'Verify Disc' at the bottom right corner, your Mac will perform a diagnostic test. Click on 'Repair Disk' if prompted to fix problems, or follow instructions given on the Disk Utility window;

    I have the same issue start yesterday. I called Apple as I believed the issue was with the App Store app update server. An Apple support rep confirmed I was correct. The issue now seems to have been resolved.
    I told Apple support rep that they should have issued an email to their App Store customers or placed a note on there website so the customers wouldn't waste their time trying to figure out what happened and/or waste time trying to fix an issue that they could never fix.

  • Newly added OAF region is shown in Worklist but not appearing in Email...

    We have a very serious issue in our applications. We have customized Requisition Approval workflow and in the Requisition approval notificaiton, added one extra OA Framework region attribute. The region fetches some value from a custom table and renders it. This region is perfectly alright when seen from the worklist. But the email that is sent for the same notification, the region is not appearing !
    We have checked a lot but unable to find what we are missing here. If it is a problem with the region, then it shouldn't appear in worklist too. The strange thing is that this was working (region was appearing in email) in one instance. When the same code were moved to another instance, it is not working (region is shown only in worklist). Please help me as this is very urgent for us.

    OK, there is other way to check.
    1) Take the notification framework region URL from the Workflow Mailer log ( log should be STATEMENT level)
    2) and copy / paste same URL in a web Browser ( you may login as SYSADMIN user)
    3) and see if newly added region comes?
    Just check if you bounced the iAS after apply the changes on that instance.

  • IChat opens, but nothing appears. What's with it?

    I realized a couple of days ago that when I opened my iChat that my buddy list didn't appear or anything else for that matter. The applications was open, as in the iChat was in the top bar, but nothing was there and there were only a limited number of options to choose from in the drop down menus. At the time I blamed it upon a lagging computer. I opened iChat again today and the same ting happened. Does anyone know what is happening?

    This tends to be a layered sort of problem with some people finding some fixes work for them whereas other do not.
    It can vary from just not being able to login and getting the "Too Many times" message - to the Buddy list appearing but with no Buddies - To there being no Buddy list (And no access to Preferences or the Accounts via the window menu or the iChat Menu)
    Starting at the simplest fix other than the Restart mentioned is to delete the com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist for Users/(your account)/Library/Preferences.
    If that does not work or you seem to have a higher level of the issue delete com.apple.iChatAgent along with the one above.
    In both cases you will need to restart iChat
    In the Case of No Buddy List appearing you will need to QUit iChat
    Open Activity Monitor (Application/Utilities) and use it to Quit iChatAgent from the list and then delete the two .plist listed above before restarting iChat.

    Re-installed older version of icloud, and then updated the software throught the apple software updater.
    This re-solved the issue.

    I've just downloaded the iTunes latest version (I have never tried to install any version of iTunes before) and basically the installer doesn't open. I try to execute the installer file and nothing appears, even an error message or something.

    I ve checked several forums in the net and a think that this might help us with the issue.
    1st, check that you have inside your c:\windows\system32 the following dlls:
    sccbase.dll
    sccsccp.dll
    slbcsp.dll
    slbiop.dll
    wmasf.dll
    wmidx.dll
    slbrccsp.dll
    And you need to register most of them. to register them you ve to execute the command : regsvr32 xxx.dll
    Doing this and making sure of uninstalling any trace of apple old installations (like old msi files) i ve reached to make the quicktime installer run !
    Tonight i will try testing to install quicktime first and then the famous itunes !
    The thing is that i am not sure if reinstalling windows will solve the issue (i ve formated my disck 2 months ago)
    I ll let you know if i progress with this issue.

    When in Mozilla and I bring up Google, the search field appears but the cursor does not blink as it ordinarily would do. When I try to type a search string it doesn't appear in the search field, instead a list of suggestions appear depending on the character(s)

    Solved: This was caused by replacing the SegoeUI (Regular) true-type font. I have no idea what process or why that font was deleted, but finding the segoeui.ttf file on another Windows machine, emailing it to myself, saving it to disk, then right-clicking and choosing "Install" fixed this problem.
