Activesync works only 1 way
I have Outlook 2007, Activesync v. 4.5 when I sync the info goes from the Treo 700wx to the pc but not the other way. I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times and removed and opened the partnerships, hard resets, nothing has worked.

Go to iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Server settings.
Whilst Logged out of AIM change the port From 5190 TO 443.

My new iPod touch 64 Gig has a problem after syncing with iTunes. My purchased apps no longer work. I touch them and they seem to try to open but they do not.
The only way I have found to fix this is as follows:
I delete one of the purchased apps. Then I go to the App Store and re-download and install the same app. After that, all my apps work again.
Please help.Download/install an app is a know possible solution.

working with my 2 FireWire HD i had a crash. the only way to start was a safe start. then id maged to start from a DVD and install a MAC OS 10.3 wich ran 4 some time then the same problem only safeMode. kernel panic by inserting the tech tool DVD, wich produces the following highligted text:

It appears to be a FW problem, possibly flaky case, or drive problem.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Can I use Google Sync to transfer only my contacts from my IPhone 4 to my gmail account? I do not want to sync info from Gmail to the IPhone. Can the sync work only one-way? I have 0 contacts & 0 calendar events on my gmail account. I opened the Gmail account specifically to for the Google Sync and wil only be using this account as a back-up for my IPhone contacts. You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device. -

phone works great but when on a call proximity sensor kicks in turns off the screen. When I pull the phone away from my head screen is still blank. The force hangup/lock is the only way to bring the screen back on.

Tabs in Firefox 7 won't work...I can't open a new tab by clicking on the +.....only way to open a new tab is via the FILE/new tab option...it seems like a lot of the options/buttons are non-pressable??
This issue can be caused by the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

I just purchased a BEM Wireless Projector. Is it "Bluetooth" Wireless? The only way I can get it to work is with cables.
I also purchased "Ultimate Ears UE Boom" speaker. I was hoping to run it simultaneously for the sound while projecting video on the BEM Projector. Can this be done?The projector is not wireless.

Clarity on the name – I thought the projector operated on a wireless frequency. It does not. The company got its start in wireless speakers and thus the company name creates a little bit of confusion. However, small point – the projector still works great and when I think about it – trying to run big files via wireless would be pretty tough.
And you can use the Bluetooth speakers.

Not sure of an answer to your basic question, but it may be that you can run a repair (on Windows --> Control Panel>Programs & Features and run the repair on Acrobat). If that fixes the issue, at least temporarily, at least you will not be reinstalling everything -- a real pain.
Next, open Acrobat and go to the Help to run the updates and be sure you are current. On some OSs, the updates are critical. -

Firewalls on both machines are set exactly the same way, and with Network Browser set to allow. Can send a file from Mac mini to MacBook, but not the other way. Never get a window asking to accept on the Mac mini.
