ActiveX can't create component
I have a Linux vmware image with an 11g database and BI EE Server v10.1.3.4.1
My laptop is running Vista Business and Office 2007.
I can connect to the vmware image Server through Presentation Services on my laptop.
I can also connect through the BIOffice Addin with Excel and Powerpoint.
When I try to connect to BI Publisher with Word I get the following error:
Run time error 429
ActiveX can't create component.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled all client components
I have run setup from Program Files/Oracle/BI Publisher/BI Publisher Desktop/DotNetInstallFiles (uninstalled / reinstalled / repaired)
I was running v10.1.3.3.2 on my laptop with no problems - this has happened since upgrading to 10.1.3.4.1
Can anyone shed any light on this problem.
Please try the followings.
1. Uninstall BIP desktop from control->Add or remove programs.
2. Open explorer and go to "C:\WINDOWS\assembly".
3. Check if the assemblies which start with "TB" don't remain there.
4. Please open the MS Word startup directory and check there is no file there. The directory is normally the following.
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP
Vista:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP
5. Open MS Word and check if you don't see the BIP tool bar.
-> If you see it, please move Normal.dot to another directory and try again.
6. Please check that the OS user you use has an administrator privilege.
7. Please go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs and check if the followings have been installed.
Shared Add-in Extensibility Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002)
Shared Add-in Support Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002)
8. Install BIP Desktop again
Also, please check other Word add-in features such as chart and crosstab if you see the same error.

ActiveX can´t create the object xl reporter
hola tengo SAP BO 2005
https://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/platforms

Error run-time 429 ActiveX can't create the object Financial Reporting
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to run Financial Reporting 9.3.1 on my pc with Winodws Vista but as I launch the exe it shows me an error message:
Error run-time 429 ActiveX can't create the object
I know it works out with XP. Is there a problem with Vista? How can I fix it?
Thanks in advance
GiacomoI cannot say this IS your problem, but some oddities I ran into installing the report client on my laptop in my current environment ....
#1 - Even though you type in your username and password in the Reports login box, it apparently uses the credentials of the logged on user.
#2 - The machine MUST be on the domain that is used for authentication or it flat out won't work (see item #1)
#3 - I ran into the ActiveX error once and apparently something did not register properly during the install. To fix it :
Run the batch file : %HYPERION_HOME%\BIPlus\install\bin\HRRunAnt.cmd
Where %HYPERION_HOME% is the main hyperion folder. (i.e. c:\hyperion )
After the script executes, reboot your machine. You MUST reboot.
Hope that helps. -
ActiveX can't create object when VB Script called from Labview
I have an interesting issue that I can't find a solution for. I am using the DIAdem Run Script.VI in Labview to call a script that opens an Outlook object and sends an email. When the script is called via LabView I get this error:
However, when I manually run the script from the DIAdem script tab it works as expected with no errors.
This is the code:
'Begin email send function
Dim oOutlookApp
Dim oOutlookMail
Dim cnByValue : cnByValue = 1
Dim cnMailItem : cnMailItem = 0
' Get Outlook Application Object
Set oOutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
' Create Mail Item
Set oOutlookMail = oOutlookApp.CreateItem(cnMailItem)
' Set Mail Values
With oOutlookMail
.To = "[email protected]"
.Subject = "Report: " & Data.Root.ActiveChannelGroup.Name & " for " & CurrDate
.Body = "test automatic report emailing with VB Script."
' Add Attachement
Call .Attachments.Add(strLocFileName, cnByValue, 1 )
' Send Mail
Call .Send()
End With
(Original code includes Option Explicit and all variables are properly included/declared, I just took the snippet of what's causing the error).
I have looked at the following threads for info already:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/DIAdem/Active-X-component-cannot-create-object-Diadem-8-1/m-p/71212/highligh...
-I tried running the script via Windows explorer (per Brad's suggestion) by itself without the DIAdem specific functions and it runs fine.
http://forums.ni.com/t5/DIAdem/Error-while-runing-diadem-asynchronous-script-from-labview-on/m-p/111...

Using Windows 7 (64bit), DIAdem 11.2 and LabView 7.1.1
Thank you.Hey techerdone -
I'm afraid I personally can't be of much help - I tested your code both from DIAdem and from LabVIEW and each worked without issues in both cases (Outlook closed, Outlook open). I'm using DIAdem 2011 SP1, LabVIEW 2011, and Outlook 2007...

MSAccess - ERROR 429: ActiveX can't create object
I am trying to migrate an access database to Oracle9i.
I am using AccessXP(2002).
I have versions of my database in Access97/2000/2002 formats.
When I try to execute the OMWB2000.MDE Export command against the access2000 database I specified, I get the 429 error.
Is this being caused because I am using AccessXP?
If so, will there be a version of OMWB for AccessXP soon? ThanksI cannot say this IS your problem, but some oddities I ran into installing the report client on my laptop in my current environment ....

SBO2004A: Runtime Error 429 ActiveX Component can't Create Object
Hello,
We have an Addon developed with VB6 that run without problems with SBO 6.5.
We have upgraded to SBO2004A and I have referenced in the source code to the 2004 UI and DI. I debug mode (from IDE) we don't have problems, but when I try to execute the addon from a client, I get this error message:

BlasI'm using Installshield 10.5 to generate the setup file. It's much more easy and not requiered to install Framework 1.1 in each PC client before to install the Addon.
You have to create and msi project, and write the Installscript to retrieve the install directory from parameter string passed by SAP.
After install you must execute the AddOnInstallAPI.EndInstall to notify SAP:

prototype LONG AddOnInstallAPI.RestartNeeded();

// First Install UI Sequence - Before Move Data
// The OnFirstUIBefore event is called by OnShowUI when the setup is

Runtime Error '429': ActiveX component can't create object
Hi,
I am using below code in vb6 application but this is throwing an "Runtime Error '429': ActiveX component can't create object" error.
CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XoraSession")
is that due to any dll or reference error ?
I have an Oracle client installed on my PC
please share your solution
Thanks in advanceAre either of those 64 bit? If so, your problem is likely related to that.
A 64 bit Oracle client doesn't support OO4O at all, so this code will never work with that client. You need to use a 32 bit one.
If you are using a 32 bit client but on a 64 bit OS, I've found the 11.2.03 installer doesn't properly register the files. Manually registering OraOleDB11.dll may fix it, though we had to do some other registry stuff and it got very ugly. Backing up to a slightly older client should also fix the problem. -

Visual Basic 6 application moved to new server - activex component can't create object
I have to move a VB6 application that was running on a Windows 2003 machine to a new Windows 2008 machine.
This EXE application was using classes defined in a DLL using the Createobject method.
Now, after the class instance has been created by Createobject, when the program calls the methods error 429 "activex component can't create object" is issued.
The DLL has been registered on the new server using the command :
regsvr32 c:\folderx\dllname.dll
Which is the right forum to get help on this ?
Thanks.Hello,
As Dave says, VB 6 is no longer supported by Microsoft.
I’d suggest asking in one of the following third-party forums which support Visual Basic 6.

I recently installed the Evaluation edition of BizTalk Server, but am

The problem I think is that BizTalk cannot start the XLANG Scheduler COM+

If I try to run the XLANG Schedule created in the Tutorial, via

BizTalk is unable to run any XLANG Schedule, I also have a Schedule setup

is activated via a File Receive Function. This fails also.
The System Log reports the following error every minute (at least!):

The only solution I have found is to reinstall & even this is not successful
every time.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions?
