ActiveX error messages

Hello everybody,
Does anyone know how to deal with error messages from ActiveX components embedded in Forms?
When I use OLE2 package procedures to create an ActiveX object I can get the errors with the LAST_EXCEPTION procedure, but when this object is embedded in a Forms OCX container I can't get those messages.
Thank you, in advance...

  • Modal message popup is causing TestStand ActiveX error

When I execute a modal Message Popup step, I get the following error:
    ActiveX Error
    sCode = 0xffffbba4
    Source: TSAPI
Description: Could not connect to TestStands TSSync server.
If the Message Popup is not modal, the sequence executes just fine.
I am making the Message Popup modal by selecting the "Make Modal" option.

There is a call to TS_StartModalDialogEx function in the \API\CVI\tsutil.c file which in turn calls into the engine. The engine needs the sync server to implement the modality. I would assume that the file \bin\TSSync.dll is missing or not registered. You can register the dll by running "regsvr32.exe \bin\TSSync.dll". See if this fixes your problem.

  • When I attempt to open firefox an error message appears telling me that firefox is already running, but I can't find it running. How do I do so or in any case close the already running Firefox process?

When I attempt to open Firefox instead of Firefox opening, an error message appears saying "Firefox is already running but isn't responding. To open another window please close the existing Firefox process or restart the system.", but I can't find that process of Firefox in order to kill it, and after restarting the system there is still the problem. I have found an emergency fix to at least get online, and that is to use"Firefox_Profile_Manager" in the start menu's "run" start menu, but the
Firefox that then opens is that one doesn't carry over what I had in my bookmarks but starts bookmarks anew.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

  • How do I reinstall my Creative Suite 5 Design Premium without getting an error message?

I recently uninstalled Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium from my old computer (Design Premium CS5 & Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro components) so that I can put it on my new computer (Windows 7 Home Premium).

  • Visual Composer (B1i) error message

    Hi,
Does anyone know what does this error message say (while opening a new project in the Visual Composer tool):
"Access to Remote Visual Composer library denied. Automation server can't create object" ?
    Thanks,

    Hello Nic,
Thanks much for you response and guidance. However, I checked my IE configuration and found that all ActiveX's are enables and I still get an error message as mentioned in the previous postings.
Any other idea? (I attach a piece of my TomCat console log please take a look and see if it can help with more info.)

Please advise how can I do.

Probably the usual problem of deploying an application built with a newer NWDS (SP11) on an older server (SP9).
But without the stacktrace this is only a guess.

  • Error message when trying to install Flash 10.0.45.2

I am running IE 7 on windows XP. We had some issues with Flash active active control version 10.1.53.64 and higher so I unistalled 10.1.53.64 and downloaded the older version (10.0.45.2) from the adobe website but when I try to install it I get the following error "The version of Adobe Flash Player that are trying to install is not the most current version. Please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer to obtain the latest more secure version". I am however able to install version 9.0.289.0
Is there any particular reason that i cannot install 10.0.
The reason that I don't want to use 10.1 is because it has a bug that affects the working of my application and the audio some times does not play.
    Thanks

Thanks for the information. I downloaded the Active X from the link you provided but I am still getting the same error message

If I remember correctly, there were two different installers for 10.0.45.2: one that did the checking for a newer version, and one that did not.
The forum search is currently disabled, and I cannot find the topics that were discussed at the time.
However, I still have the installers for the non-check version available for download on my servers:

  • Playing mp4 audio gives error message "Video can't be played because the file is corrupt"

Playing a particular mp4 audio file directly from a website link gives error message "Video can't be played because the file is corrupt". However other mp4 audio files from this same website do work correctly. What can I do to get all the the mp4 audio files to play directly from the same website? I must have the correct plugins, etc. since the other files play. This file is not playing from YouTube, is it on the website.
    Thank you for your help.

What is the link to the site and file in question?
MP4 files should be handled by Firefox itself, not a plug-in.
    # Click the ≡ Menu Button and choose Add-ons.
    # Click Plugins.
    # Set every plug-in to "Never Activate".
    # Try loading the file again. Is there any difference?

  • Get an error message trying to access a remote PC over the internet on Mac

At work we have a remote web work place. I can get into the site but when I try to access the link to the computer list the message below is displayed.
    Error Message:
This portion of the Remote Web Workplace requires the Microsoft Remote Desktop ActiveX Control. Your browser's security settings may be preventing you from downloading ActiveX controls. Adjust these settings, and try to connect again.
With the new Snow Leopard it has support for the remote exchange server 2007. The one I'm desire to access would be XP Pro, but I'm not getting far enough to address them yet. When i use my PC there's a gold bar that comes down and says install Active X and I accept. Any idea's?
