ActiveX error when BPC process dimension

I ever build a dimension in BPC and after I put it into application and process the dimension, the dimension can not be added into application correctly.
Then I tried to delete this dimension, the error message is "ActiveX component can not be created", Does anyone has such issue and how to solve it? thanks.

My advice is to contact SAP Support, given that we cannot see the error, have access to your versions, etc. The first thing I would check is if you can make a change to a memberset in a dimension within ApShell. If you get the same error, then you may wish to re-enter the BPC install area on your environment and run the cleint diaqgnostic to verify that the client has what it needs to run. Another option is to uninstall the clients, and re-enstall them. This will not impact your currrent applications, and is a good test prior to contacting the support team.

From the help of BPC, I know BPC can schedule processing dimension in the background.
I acted as the instruction according with the steps in Help, but it doesn't work. (The help told me let the source table blank, but the system will tell me need to put a source table. I don't know how to put into a source table name)
Can anyone give some advice?

When scheduling the dimension process from the administration console a table called TempScheduleMBRxxxx is created where xxxx is the dimensionname of the dimension your just scheduled to process. Try to put this tablename as the sourcetable, I think it should work. So if you are scheduling the Entity dimension try to put TempScheduleMBRentity into this field.
Of coursw also check after scheduling if the table is really created in the SQL database.

Can I not execute package/proc > EXEC PRE_AUD.TRANS.DBSTAT_ALL as anonymous block?

"EXEC" or "EXECUTE" is a SQL*Plus command. Your PL/SQL process should simply be:

Error when run Process Chain via BPC NW

Hi Gurus,
I am implementing SAP BPC 7.5 NW in a customer and I´m facing the following error when try to run a process chain via Data Manager: "Failed to analyze instruction ,TAB,%TAB% ".
Here is the scenario: we created a process chain that will be able to capture values recorded in a BPC application, load them into an DSO (make some transformations there) and finally send those transformed values to an specific table at ECC. This process will be started after some simulations at BPC and, when the user ends its simulation, start this process chain via BPC; this process chain is named as PC_ECC.
We made a copy of /CPMB/DEFAULT_FORMULAS and named it PC_FORMULA and, before step /CPMB/CLEAR, I assigned my process chain PC_ECC.
So, at Data Manager, I add this process chain (PC_FORMULA) and in Advanced button, I put this statement:

But the suggestion to supress the statement TASK(PC_FORMULA,TAB,%TAB%) do not work; when we comment this statement, the message error gives us the message:"Failed to analyze instruction ,EQU,%EQU% "; when we comment the statement TASK(PC_FORMULA,EQU,%EQU%) and the previous (with TAB). the DM gives us the message: TASK(PC_FORMULA,SUSER,%SUSER%) and so on, until nothing has left to comment.
Anyone of you view or has some similar case of error?

I checked the parameter at my process chain and it has a variant (/CPMB/DEFAULT_FORMULAS_LOGIC) with the parameters:
TAB
SUSER
SELECTION
SAPPSET
REPLACEPARAM
MEMBERSELECTION
LOGICFILENAME
EQU
So, when I put in the task PC_FORMULA, TAB, %TAB%, it will be able to be recognized by the task...and the other parameters too. And when I take one of them off the task instructions, the system complains.
Any other suggestion?

BPC Process Dimension Pop Up Freezes

Hi all,
When I delete a member of a dimension and then process dimension, a pop up openned. In the pop up, it is written that "Validate process dimension, waiting for the server to response". And then nothing happens after 30 minutes.No error, no change, nothing.But when I check st22, I see that there is a runtime error "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND".And in the details " The current ABAP program "RSDMDD_DELETE_KERNEL" had to be interrupted because it contains a statement that cannot be executed." In addition I chekced whether there is a lock but there isn't any lock.
Nevertherless, when I close BPC Admin Console and then open, I see that the changes are made correctly.However, in BW , it does not delete the row from master data of the same characteristic but when I add new row, it adds that row in both BW and BPC Admin console.
Any idea on that?Is this a BW issue or BPC issue?
There is one thread about this subject but it is unanswered in fact.I need to delete members.

Hi,
You can try couple of things to check if it resolves your issue:
- Try renaming the xml file that the dimenion processing generates in the backend in UJFS tcode. First go to the tcode UJFS and find your dimension library there. There would be a xml file for your user defined dimension rename only the xml file adding a 1 to its name. Go back to the dimension, open it up, save and process to generate the xml file again. Try deleting some members then. Please check if you can.
- Try to create another new dimension and see if the new dimension has same problem of deleting the members from it as your existing user defined dimension whille deleting the members when assigned to an application.

Its true, we cannot delete master if there are any transactional data. For Eg:System is giving message for such cases and it will revert in such cases & will not allow us to delete.(Atleast give relevant msg in such cases)

Getting Date error when I process

I have DEV & QA Analysis services on 2 different server. This is 2005 SSAS
I am using same solution so DEV process OK but QA gives me date error
when I check with SSMS , date fields look fine .
But I am getting this error in QA

12/13/2005 is an American date format (mm/dd/yyyy) whereas you need a british date format 13/12/2005 (dd/mm/yyyy).

Error when mantaining a dimension

I have a very simple AW with 3 dimensions (PLAYER, YEAR, TEAM) containing baseball data. The TEAM dimension has one hierarchy with 3 levels: TEAMS_ALL, LEAGUE, TEAMID. For a spell, I was able to maintain this dimension successfully and use it in reports. Now when I try to maintain the TEAMS dimension I get the error:

Brijesh, thanks for your reply. I solved this problem by selecting the option *'Generate Surrogate Keys in the Analytic Workspace'* in the *'Implementation Details'* tab for the PLAYERS dimension. I'm not sure why the alternative option of *'Use keys from data source'* would work fine in the initial build but then fail in a later MAINTAIN command since I did not alter the data since the initial load
Frankly, my experience with using AW via the GUI so far is that I will not get the same results when performing the same tasks on the same data. What this realistically means is that the GUI does not fully and/or accurately represent the underlying state of conditions in the AW. I also find that when errors arise I do not get as much information and guidance from the GUI as I would like. For instance, in the above scenario perhaps an error message to the effect of *'you are attempting to load a value that matches another value on some level of this dimension. This problem might be solved by switching to surrogate keys in the Implementation Details of the dimension to ensure uniqueness.'*

Run time error when loading external dimensions in Dev Studio

I'm getting a run-time error when I try to load externally managed dimensions in Dev Studio using "Discover" button. The dimensions appear in the state folder so they got loaded fine but not sure why they are not being loaded into dev studio.

Error when importing Shared Dimension through LCM

We are using Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 with an EPMA application. We have one environment where all of the dimensions are in the Shared Library, and the application dimensions are shared from there (DEV environment). In another environment, we have the same application, but its using only local dimensions (UAT environment)
We are looking to migrate some changes to members from DEV to UAT, but don't want to share the dimensions in UAT (yet anyways). Here is how I was going about migrating the dimensions:
1. In Shared Services in DEV, exporting the dimensions from EPM Architect from Foundation Services (from under Dimensions (Shared))
2. In Shared Services in UAT, importing the dimensions from the file system into EPMA from Foundation Services (into Dimensions (Shared)), then using the "Synchronize > From Shared Library" to push those changes to the application's local dimensions.
When I import the file system from DEV into UAT, the import fails and gives me the following error message for the Account dimension (only trying the one dimension for now):

It appears that the LCM import does work as it creates the dimension in the Shared Library, but I am not sure why I am getting this error message.
I also tried to import the exported Shared Dimension for Account directly into the application (rather than the Shared Library) by just moving the "Account" file from:
<export file name>\resource\Dimensions (Shared)
to
<export file name>\resource\Application Metadata\Planning Applications\<appname>\Common Dimensions
And this imports without any errors! I'd rather not go this way as it's more of a manual process, and I'd like to keep it as straightforward as possible.
I have searched the error message on OTN, the Oracle Knowledge Base and Google, but haven't really been able to come across any real information.
Any insight you may have would be greatly appreciated!

More of an update. We have a sandbox environment as well, and I was able to import the Shared Dimensions through LCM without any issue on that server.
I also tried rebooting the server with the issues, but still get that cryptic error message.
I looked through the logs and saw this in the EPMA.log

Seems to be connected to the issue I am having, but couldn't find anything on OTN, Oracle KB or Google. Other imports to this environment work, so not sure why the pathname would throw issues.

Invalid DataStore object name error when running process chain after EHP1

Hello,
We recently upgraded our BW Dev platform to NW7.01 EHP1 SP6. I noticed that the layout for "Delete PSA Request" process in the Process Chain has changed after the upgrade. We can no longer specify the actual PSA table to delete eg, /BIC/B0001645. Instead we need to specify the Datasource name and the Source System.
Now after the upgrade when I run one of my process chains, it fails at "Delete PSA Request" step with error message "Invalid DataStore object name /BIC/B0001645: Reason: No valid entry in table RSTS". This datasource is based on the flat file source system and the PSA table for this Datasource is /BIC/B0001653.
Unfortunately the process chain is picking up an older PSA table for this datasource and there is no way for me to specify the current PSA table name after this change in layout with EHP1 upgrade. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

If this does not help try the below steps:
1. Run the report 'RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY/_MS' in check mode for a
       particular PSA table for finding the inconsistencies.
2.   After that please analyze the logs and if there is any problems related to partition, you need to correct them using the report u2013
3. 'SAP_PSA_PARTNO_CORRECT' in repair mode for the
      PSA tables. Run the report again after this
4. 'RSR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY/_MS' in check mode to
     double check that the invalid partitions are
     corrected.
     Once this is done you can execute the report
     'RSR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY/_MS' in repair mode.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. It is a process that we use to search through the all the BPEL instances to search for a certain string. It works fine on the PROD en TEST bpel instances but on my local BPEL server it gives that error. My local BPEL Server is connected to the archive database and I want to search through that data for a certain instance but as soon as I click on post XML 'n receive the error above. Could it be that the database is corrupt?
