i have just recently bought another computer becaus emy other one has crashed. But when i had put photoshop elements 9 on my new one everything is fine but just now it has said that i have reached my activation limit which is 2 laptops but there is only photoshop on two laptops???? i am unable to go on tomy old laptop..PLEASE HELP ME

Because your old computer crashed, it is still registered as having PS on it. you need to call Adobe to reset how many copies you have in use.
I believe this is one of the bennifits of being on the cloud. If your computer crashes, PS will tell you that you have exceeded your limit, but will then allow you to signoff on other computers. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with perpetual licenses.

Is there any way to force a PXI6115 to generate AI Start Trig on PFI0 but not actually trigger on it?

I am using a PXI chassis with 10 6115's and a 6608 counter/timer. I need to use analog triggering on one of the 6115 AI channels. The particular channel will depend on the test setup, so I can't just pick one and hard-wire it. This analog trigger will be the master timing reference for all of the boards.
However, I need to trigger the 6115's at different times (e.g., trigger three at the same time and seven at some later time) so I'm routing the AI Start Trigger from whichever is the trigger channel (one of the first 16 channels) to RTSI0. The first five counters are then GATEd on RTSI0 and the counter OUTs are hardwired to the 6115's PFI0s in groups of two. So,
basically, one of the 6115s sends AI Start Trigger to the five counters which, in turn, generate five delayed triggers that are sent to the 10 6115's.
My problem is that I can't use a zero delay on the counter, so I can't get the 6115s to trigger at the same time, if need be. Whichever one generats the analog trigger will always be slightly ahead of all of the others that I would like to trigger at the same time.
So my question is this: can I somehow force one of the 6115's to generate the AI Start Trigger across RTSI0 but not actually trigger itself until it gets the trigger back from the counter/timer? This way, the delay will still be there but all of the boards can get a simulataneous trigger if need be.

Unfortunately, I do not believe that it is possible for a DAQ board to generate an AI Start Trigger from an analog trigger, but not be triggered itself until it receives a digital trigger.

Re Titled but not Actually Renamed ?

I read a lot of Post but I don't this question was addressed directly.
I renamed all of my IPhoto pictures. Now when I drag this photo to the desktop, or [b]export to an e-mail or application it shows the original name. As if nothing had been changed.
I read that you must change the name before putting the photos into IPHOTO. Where can I import them to in order to change the name first. Documents? but then I can't preview a bunch together and see if any are the same picture but in different colors. Which effects my titling, if it was the same picture it would need to have the same title but in a,b,c?
I do 100's of pictures in a roll, is there any way to change the actual title once it is in IPhoto?
I saw something about export and re-importing with a new title? Is this a long process, is it an ideal solution to my situation?
Any insight would be nice.

What you did was TITLE the pictures, you did not rename the file. If you use the File -> Export command, then you have the opportunity to export the file with the Tile as filename.

Use Image Capture (in your Applications folder) to upload the pics from your camera to the desktop. Then you can use an app like File List to batch rename the files. Thereafter, can import them into iPhoto. As to viewing the pics, you can use Preview.
Here's my question: Do you NEED to rename the FILES while the pics are in iPhoto? I have yet to see a scenario where this is necessary.

Firefox Hanging Problem, but not actually hanging [Security Issue?]

Reposting from a reply I made on another thread so that this might get more attention for people:
So I've been having this problem for the past couple days, after I installed the 4.0 Beta 12, but not immediately. I resorted to using IE8 until I could troubleshoot. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled, initially keeping my customizations, then again without. Upon installing the new RC I imemdiately had the same problem.
For me what goes wrong is Firefox will open correctly and begin to load a page or pages, and about 15 seconds in, usually after all loading is done, it will seemingly freeze, or hang rather. Seemingly completely unresponsive.
Here is the aha moment: I became fed up with this and was just trying to get to the troubleshooter's containing file or whatever, [so that I could delete the session restore javascripts, like the support page says to try for hangs]. It hang right before I was able to open the containing folder. Instead of trying to fix it or wait I immediately alt-f4ed it. But firefox remained, and to my surprise, it worked completely fine. Normally, when its hanging, any click on the window will just make a windows BING sound and be compeltely unresponsive. After attempted to close firefox, it actually worked fine.
This leads me to believe there is some masking window that makes firefox appear to be hanging, but in reality its working totally fine.
I've attempted to unmask this by dregding through process explorer, but so far to no avail. I'm no expert, but I figured if this board hasn't realized this yet someone can figure it out from here far better than I can.
Let me know when you figure it out to so I stop using IE. Even though Firefox functions after I alt-f4 the "mask", I don't know if the 'mask' is harming my system or giving me malware or what so I'd rather not fuck with it.

Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).<br />
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

How to get audio clips to play at site but not actually download?

Would like person to be able to listen only to audio clips but not to be able to download clip to add to their iTunes library. In other words, am selling an audio product, and while I'd like people to be able to hear samples at my site (built with iweb), I don't want them to retain clip. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be much appreciated!

Stopping people from downloading anything that's published to the internet is virtually impossible.
I would recommend that you first edit your files so that you only have about a one minute clip online....

Dragging you files onto the iWeb page is not the best way to present them as a large percentage of PC users won't be able to play them. The Wordpress standalone flash player is still about the best way to play audio and you have to know how to get into the source code to be able to download the files....

How do I delete Photo Stream photos that are taking up hard drive space in my Masters folder, but not actually appearing in any event, or on the interface at all?

A couple months ago, I activated photo stream using my apple ID. I was under the impression that all the photos uploaded to my photo stream would only use server space on icloud and wouldn't actually utilize disk space, or at the most, the option was available to only download specific photos to my hard drive. My hope was that I could upload the photos to a specific drive, and view the uploaded thumbs or low-res comps on any device as a reference.
This is not the case.
What I have found is that iphoto has been automatically downloading any and all photos uploaded to my photo stream. Not just the thumbnails, the entire thumbnail + all resolutions. I shoot RAW photos so in my case, the original averages about 15-25MB per photo.
I have been uploading directly to an iphoto library on an external hard drive specifically designated for handling all my RAW high-res images.
What has been happening is all those RAW files are also being uploaded directly to my iphoto library on my iMac and eating up memory which I cannot reclaim, even after deactivating my Photo Stream in preferences. We're talking almost 100 GB of memory is tied up right now.
I don't want to just go in and start deleting files and folders in my Masters folder, since I have heard this will break iphoto, but the photos in my photostream do not show up in any event and I need to reclaim the hard drive space.
How can I safely delete them?

If the files are loose inside the iPhoto library package here's one way to get them out:
1 - open your library, select all of the photos in the library and add a unique keyword, XXXX, to all of them.
2 - Rebuild the library with iPhoto Library Manager as follows:

1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 - select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
3 - open the library, create a smart album with the criterial "Keyword is not XXXX".
4 - the smart album will include those photos that were not visible in your original library. Select them and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move them to the iPhoto Trash bin.
5 - empty the iPhoto Trash bin via the iPhoto ➙ Empty iPhoto Trash Bin menu option.
6 - empty the Trash bin in the Dock to remove the files from your hard drive completely.
Be sure to read Note 1 above. You can use the new library without your books, slideshow, etc. and it will not contain those errant files. Of course delete the original library if the new one is satisfactory.

Iphoto shows toolbar but not actual window

starting today, iphoto only shows the toolbar and not the actual window. when you zoom out to show all open applications it shows my iphoto library, but when you click on it it disappears and only shows the toolbar. i tried disabling spaces and also trashing the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder
i've never updated or changed preferences because i just got my macbook two weeks ago.
help, please!!!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Try use the Display StsyemPreferences to change your screen resolution. If the window is off screen this will often force the Mac to redraw the screen and you'll be able to grab the window.

4G shown but not actually working, 3G working but my phone is not always in - in the Silicon Valley!

I have a Samsung Note 2 and was enjoying 4G LTE almost everywhere I work and live. Since several months ago, the LTE connection near my work is very intermittent or almost useless, even though the phone shows "4G" on the screen. It usually keeps showing "4G" but transfers too little data to show a meaningful webpage. If it does go to the "3G" mode, which occurs only some days, data transfer becomes just fine. Even if 3G can't be faster than "normal" 4G, in my case it is at least usable. However, as far as I know, there is no way to lock Verizon Note 2 in the 3G mode.
Therefore, I cannot use Verizon's mobile internet near my work, where I spend most of my days! It is especially inconvenient when I go for a break or lunch and do not find wifi.
It shouldn't be my phone problem, since I have no problem at home (and almost everywhere else nearby) to use 4G. I still have an old unlimited data plan but do not use many GB a month (usually way less than 2GB).
By the way, my work is right in the middle of the Silicon Valley! Isn't this funny that we have a serious connection problem here?

I have had this problem for many months already. Before that, there was no problem inside the building. Now, I have this problem even outside in this flat area. It is sometimes better (slow but showing a webpage) but usually so bad (stops while loading or just shows a bad connection message).

Why when I click restore, does it go through the motions but not actually change any of the data to match the last backup?

So I just got a new computer and when I added Itunes it's missing over half the songs. My old computer is useless so I cant get the songs from there. I thought I might be able to transfer the songs from my ipod to the itunes but in case that didnt work I backed up my ipod. When the itunes only erased the songs i had and added their less than half full list I immediatly stopped the sync and restored from my last backup. Itunes and my ipod go through the motions like its going to work but my ipod still only has the songs which are on this itunes even though the intallation never finished. Why is this happening and how can i get my songs back?
Why is it that apple has never made transferring your songs when you get a new computer any easier? It is the most frustrating thing.

Synced media like songs and apps are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. Thus, if that media is not in the iTunes library it can be restore to the iPod.

Burning a CD songs will convert but not actually burn onto CD.

I've tried about 7 different times to burn a CD and each time it says to check the CD for damages or to change manufactures of the blank CD's. I've done both and neither of them seem to work. I've also tried to change the speed of the writting to see if that would work, but still the same result. Any Ideas?

What burning application did you use??? Did you burn with windows burning option???
Im sure you know the Nero this application is very nice and supports a sound file converting and burning.
You write nothing about you drive or notebook.
Maybe you know that not every medias are compatible.
Did you check your user manual?
There you should find the list of compatible medias and a index with supported CDs and DVDs.
The error message says everything:
check the CD for damages or to change manufactures of the blank CD's
So do it.
