Activity Diagram with Attachment
I am unable to create an attachment in an activity diagram. I click on "Attachment" in the "Component Palette". Attachment is highlighted. I try to drag and drop onto the diagram. The cursor goes to a plus sign, but when I release the button, nothing is created on the diagram.
What am I doing wrong?
Mike
I see. I first create the note, then attach it to a shape on the diagram using the attachment. I was aware of the Notes. I just thought that an attachment was a special type of document you could include in a diagram.
I am very familiar with CASE Methodology. There is no funding for training as usual, so I am learning UML modeling as I go. I am not doing Java development. Others in our group use JDeveloper for Java development. I figured since it has some UML modeling diagrams, why not use it. I just wanted to model a new process we have.
Thank you,
Mike

Creating Activity Diagram from existing code in 11g
Hi,
How can I create activity diagram for an existing application in 11.1.2.2.0 version?
-InfyDo you mean you select activity diagram in wizard but you see classes (not invocations/partitions etc) on created diagram?
If so.. it's a design, you just see activity diagram with inappropriate elemnts.
We support to create any diagram from any elemnts but may be it's better to block diagram creation from not appliable elemnts. -
Can we have more than one attachement to the "Email with Attachment" activity
Guys,
I have a requirement in which the process has n number of approvers in the flow, and each approver can add attachments to the form in the list<document> variable which carries the attahced documents.
At the end of the process i am supposed to send a email with all the attached files to a help desk team.
I know that the Email with attachment activity supports one attachment. is there any posibility or other activity that i can use to send an email with any number of attachments?Hi Ashok
The service you want is called "Send with Map of Attachments". This service is not on the toolbar.
If you drag on the Define Activity step and type "email" in the Find box you will see under Foundation that there are 3 email services.
Choose Send with Map of Attachments.
For help on this service see: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/workbenchHelp/help.htm?content=000570.html

Activity with "(re-uese)" postfixed to name in an Activity Diagram
I am creating a new activity diagram and trying to including a pre-existing activity. This activity is currently not used in any other diagrams. (I had created a diagram and later deleted it. All the activities still stayed in the "Application Sources" under the package.)
This occurs when I do drag and drop from the "Application Sources" into the diagram. It also happens when I right-click and use "Add to diagram".
How do I include the activity without having the "(re-use)" postfixed to its name in the activity diagram?
The only way I can find to not have the "(re-use)" is to delete the activity and recreate it from scratch. Is there an easier way?
I am using version 10.1.3.0.2.223 on Windows XP.
MikeMike,
Although I have reproduced this issue in 10.1.3 Production as well I would recommend moving up to the latest version rather than working off a Preview from 2 years ago as we have made many improvements to the overall look and feel of both JDeveloper and the Modelers.
To workaround the issue, remove the Activity with the '(reuse)' after it from the current diagram and save and close JDeveloper. In a text editor open up the Activity file ('xxx.oxm_act'), you should find a line like:
<cid name="CONTAINER_REFERENCE" key="<Some Text>" />
Replace the above line with:
<null name="CONTAINER_REFERENCE" />
and save the file. Reopen JDev and include the Activity back on the Diagram, it should no longer say '(Reuse)' after it.

Lisa

Web Service 2.0 add Activity with attachment
I have a requirement, use Java code to add an activity with attachment using the wsdl of web service 2.0.
However, I can't add attachment successfully.
without any attachment, the activity can be added successfully in CRMOD.
my soap msg without attachment is like "<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\" xmlns:ns=\"urn:crmondemand/ws/ecbs/activity/10/2004\" xmlns:data=\"urn:/crmondemand/xml/Activity/Data\"><soapenv:Header /><soapenv:Body><ns:ActivityInsert_Input><data:ListOfActivity><data:Activity><data:ServiceRequestNumber>85-3143833</data:ServiceRequestNumber><data:Description>at-test18</data:Description><data:Subject>AT18</data:Subject><data:Activity>Task</data:Activity></data:Activity></data:ListOfActivity></ns:ActivityInsert_Input></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>";
in this case,I can found the new activity AT18 added in CRMOD.
But, if I add attachment in my soap msg, such as
"<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\" xmlns:ns=\"urn:crmondemand/ws/ecbs/activity/10/2004\" xmlns:data=\"urn:/crmondemand/xml/Activity/Data\"><soapenv:Header /><soapenv:Body><ns:ActivityInsert_Input><data:ListOfActivity><data:Activity><data:ServiceRequestNumber>85-3143833</data:ServiceRequestNumber><data:Description>at-test18</data:Description><data:Subject>AT18</data:Subject><data:Activity>Task</data:Activity><data:ListOfAttachment><data:Attachment><data:DisplayFileName>attachment.txt</data:DisplayFileName><data:FileNameOrURL>attachment</data:FileNameOrURL><data:FileExtension>txt</data:FileExtension><data:Description>Attachment Desc</data:Description><data:Attachment>dGVzdCBhdHRhY2htZW50</data:Attachment></data:Attachment></data:ListOfAttachment></data:Activity></data:ListOfActivity></ns:ActivityInsert_Input></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>";
then I will get the error
Update operation on integration component 'Activity' failed because no matching record in business component 'Action' with search specification '[Description] = "AT18"' could be found.(SBL-EAI-04403)
I am not sure whats the reason....in the API document. It mentions for web service 2.0 'the Insert method can be used to insert both parent records and child records', and 'ActivityInsert' above is actually call the insert method, How I can insert both ativity and attachment successfully? Does anybody have some suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Kane
Edited by: user13108801 on 18-May-2010 20:05Thanks Dinesh,
I am in Release 17, in R17, the InsertChild is not supported, API only support 'insert' for both parent and child.
It looks the 'insert' operation with child record actually do the 'update' operation for the parent record to update its child node.
if I send msg using insert operation like:
"<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\" xmlns:ns=\"urn:crmondemand/ws/ecbs/activity/10/2004\" xmlns:data=\"urn:/crmondemand/xml/Activity/Data\"><soapenv:Header /><soapenv:Body><ns:ActivityInsert_Input><data:ListOfActivity><data:Activity><data:ServiceRequestNumber>85-3143833</data:ServiceRequestNumber><data:Description>at-test18</data:Description><data:Subject>AT18</data:Subject><data:Activity>Task</data:Activity><data:ListOfAttachment><data:Attachment><data:DisplayFileName>attachment.txt</data:DisplayFileName><data:FileNameOrURL>attachment</data:FileNameOrURL><data:FileExtension>txt</data:FileExtension><data:Description>Attachment Desc</data:Description><data:Attachment>dGVzdCBhdHRhY2htZW50</data:Attachment></data:Attachment></data:ListOfAttachment></data:Activity></data:ListOfActivity></ns:ActivityInsert_Input></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>";
it will failed with the error msg I mentioned before.
however, if I create the parent node first:
"<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\" xmlns:ns=\"urn:crmondemand/ws/ecbs/activity/10/2004\" xmlns:data=\"urn:/crmondemand/xml/Activity/Data\"><soapenv:Header /><soapenv:Body><ns:ActivityInsert_Input><data:ListOfActivity><data:Activity><data:ServiceRequestNumber>85-3143833</data:ServiceRequestNumber><data:Description>at-test18</data:Description><data:Subject>AT18</data:Subject><data:Activity>Task</data:Activity></data:Activity></data:ListOfActivity></ns:ActivityInsert_Input></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>";
and then still use insert operation to add the activity with a attachment:
"<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\" xmlns:ns=\"urn:crmondemand/ws/ecbs/activity/10/2004\" xmlns:data=\"urn:/crmondemand/xml/Activity/Data\"><soapenv:Header /><soapenv:Body><ns:ActivityInsert_Input><data:ListOfActivity><data:Activity><data:ServiceRequestNumber>85-3143833</data:ServiceRequestNumber><data:Description>at-test18</data:Description><data:Subject>AT18</data:Subject><data:Activity>Task</data:Activity><data:ListOfAttachment><data:Attachment><data:DisplayFileName>attachment.txt</data:DisplayFileName><data:FileNameOrURL>attachment</data:FileNameOrURL><data:FileExtension>txt</data:FileExtension><data:Description>Attachment Desc</data:Description><data:Attachment>dGVzdCBhdHRhY2htZW50</data:Attachment></data:Attachment></data:ListOfAttachment></data:Activity></data:ListOfActivity></ns:ActivityInsert_Input></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>";
then, the attachment will be added successfully.
And I searched API document of Release 17, it mention that 'The Insert method can be used to insert both parent records and child records. If a child node is specified in the request, the Insert method inserts the child and associates it with the existing parent record. If a child node is missing, the Insert call inserts only the new parent record.'
So, is it that we can say the Insert method for child node can success only if the parent node is already existed? seems we can not insert both parent and child at one time.
Thanks

I dont receive e-mails with attachment sent to OS X Server 3.0.1 Group-mailing lists
I have a small company using a mac mini with mavericks and server 3.0.1.
We are using most of the services available in OS X server (except DHCP, Netinstall and Xsan). One of the services we use the most is Mail server, and the whole company uses that as our primary mail server.
We have set up several different Groups and activated group-mailing lists on some of them. The setup has been working very good for over a year (started using it with Mountain Lion Server).
Recently I was going to send a christmas card to all employees using the workgroup mailing list. I was using the stationaries in Mail, and it was sent as normal but never recieved by me or any of the other employees. Below is the SMTP Log

I did some trial and error and it seems like it is linked to the fact that I have attachments to the email. Sending an email with only text is recieved like normal. Even attacment like PDF or jpg is "blocked" it seems. I have tried using email outside my domain but still the same result. Sending the same email (with attachment) to all reciepients (not using the mailiing list) works and is recieved by everyone. I have turned off all email filtering settings on the server but still the same result.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? My guess is that this is a Server 3.0.1 hickup, so it would be nice to get confirmation from others experiencing the same.Troubleshooting Apple Mail

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
We need help. Thanks.The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.
See more details on Cisco forum under title "WRP400 stops responding after browsing certain websites".
Thanks. -

Thanks!Ok, I have made something similar to which your you want to do.
Before to send a e-mail you have to upload the file, and later you can attach it into the e-mail.
To upload the file:
I made it with a jsp file (has a form) where I call to a java servlet how upload the file:
package ServletUpload;

out.println("<html>");
out.println("<head>");
out.println("<title>Servlet</title>");
out.println("</head>");
out.println("<body>");
out.println("We began the processing of the file");

uploaded = procesaFicheros(request,out);

Hi Fellows
I am facing an issue with Exchange 2010 SP3 (14.03.0123.003) environment. Internal email sent with attachment to an all employee or large-member distribution group chokes the queue on Hub Transport and takes from 7 to 15 minutes to deliver. during this
time period users's emails are also delayed because of transport queue. I am trying to diagnose the root cause for this. Your suggessions and insight might be helpful for me to get it over quickly.

Regards.
J.AHi,
Generally, a message that has a large attachment or many recipients takes longer for a Hub Transport server to process than a small message that's addressed to only one recipient.
In Exchange 2010, after a message is received by the Hub Transport server, the message is added to the Submission queue. Messages move from the Submission queue through the categorizer. When the message is categorized, a recipient's e-mail
address is resolved to an object in Active Directory. This query determines the mailbox associated with that e-mail address and which Mailbox server is hosting that mailbox.
For more information about Internal message Routing, please refer to the following link.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232193(v=exchg.141).aspx
In addition, Slow network bandwidth will effect email delivery. We can increase the network bandwidth to take a test. Low computer performance will also affect the delivery. If sending internal email without attachment to all employee or
large-member distribution group, will they take the same long time to deliver?
Best Regards. -
L3 topology diagram with a large number of networks
I am working on redesigning a network that is using a single class B network for there LAN workstations and servers. I proposed for them to separate the two and put all of their servers into one class C network and the workstation in another class C. They stated that they wanted 14 separate networks for the workstations, different for section of the building, and 28 for the servers. The reason for the 28 is due to the fact they didn't keep track of how they used their address space and they do not want to renumber servers due to firewall rules. I have 50 networks hanging off of the collapsed core switch "WS-C6513-E" and finding room for all of these network is quite difficult. Does anyone have any experience with creating network topology diagrams with a large amount of networks hanging off of one device? I have attached a doc of what I have done.
Brandon
Sorry, you did say that in the last bit of your first post.
Last time i was doing topology diagrams i believe Visio had a pop up function where you could click over it but obviously if you are printing them out that does no good.
Unless you can summarise them to one entry with a note of how many subnets are being used within the summary i can't think of a way to do it. You could match the vlan number to the subnet (which you have partly done) and then just list the vlan numbers with the network prefix and make a note the subnet is derived from the vlan number.

How to get XML files out of activity diagrams of UML
Using Rational Rose I have developed a model now I want a way to get XML file for each activity diagram of the model built. This XML file will be the input file for Project Cleveland which instantiates the services according to the documentation in this XMl file
In the Photos mode go to the View menu and uncheck Event Titles. That will leave you with only thumbnails displayed in the Photos view. However, if you close from that mode and reopen the opening time will be slower since iPhoto has to read and render all of the thumbnails. It can get rather long.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard. -
