Activity Journal Template missing

Hi
To configure Activity I have done required settings & earlier I was able to see activity journal template in  activity transaction.But now I am not able to see any template in activity journal tab.
Can any one help me.

Please check in Define Activity Journals (T Code:CRMM_JOURNAL )
We define Start date & End date for a Activity Journal Template type.
Activity Journal Template is a time dependent.

  • Activity Journal to be made Mandatory

    Hi All,
    I want to put the check that user should not be able to Set the status of activity as completed if the mandatory activity Journal template is not filled by the user.
    I have created the Activity Template types & Activity templates & mark them as mandatory at category level. But still I am able to change the status of activity as Completed if Mandatory activity Journal is not filled through CRM UI.
    Can I Block this through configuration. If not whether I can do this through some enhancement or not.
    Kindly suggest the alternatives.

    Hi Amit,
    You can use badi for status change, and put a check before changing the status to Completed whether activity journal is filled or not, and give a error message.

  • Activity Journal not available in MSA

    Hi,
    Can someone please advise how to replicate AJs to mobile. Created an Activity Journal Template Type, assigned a Template, released it and I'm able to see the Activity Journal in the Maintain Activities transaction in CRM-Online, using the corresponding Transaction Type of MSA. But when I download the activity to mobile, I cannot see it attached to the activity.

    did you already check the local IDES database - table smodotdef?
    Anyway there were lots of filters valid for displaying journals along with activities, e.g.:
    - validity date (check activity date!)
    - process type (must fit with activity type)
    - distribution channel defined for template (check distribution channel of activity e.g. from related business partner)

  • Activity Journal on Transaction

    I have created a new Activity Journal Template Type and Activity Journal Template. This was assigned to Activity Type (Transaction Type - 0020 "Business Activity for Products"). The system determined the Activity Journal.
    However, then i copied this Transaction Type and created a "Z" transaction and followed the same process for creating Activity Journal. However, the system is unable to determine the Activity Journal.
    Any idea or help?

    Item categories required for activitiy journals
    Requirements
    If you have created an activity journal with a template and template type in CRM Mobile, and wish to upload it to CRM Enterprise, you should note the following:
    In CRM  Enterprise, you need to use a transaction type with the item categories ACT0, ACT1 and ACT, in order to use activity journals in the system. It is important that you assign all three item categories to the transaction type. If you do not use these item categories, the Activity Journal tab page will not appear on the interface or you will not be able to use specific fields in the activity journal.
    The following item categories are delivered with the standard configuration, and are already assigned to the standard transaction type, Activity with Products (0020) for activity journals. If you wish to use another transaction type, you need to assign the following three item categories to it:
    ACT0: the sample has been returned by the physician
    This corresponds to the Returns field in the activity journal. This field appears in the activity journal template type wizard by default, regardless of whether this item category is assigned. However, you can only use the Returns field in the activity journal itself if the item category has been assigned.
    ACT1: the customer, for example, the doctor, has requested more samples, and the sales representative did not have them. The sales representative then requests that backoffice sends the samples.
    This corresponds to the Request field in the activity journal. The same applies as for the above item category, ACT0.
    ACT: default item category if the above two categories are not applicable, for example, if the samples were given to the physician or were discussed, and no samples were returned or requested.

  • Activity Journal - Creation of template type and template

    Hello Experts,
    we need to create a template type and template because we can not use the standard template to see product information in the Activity Journal.
    Where in Customizing can i define template type and template and which are the steps to do it. For our activity journal we need to see only the fields:
    1. Product ID
    2. Product
    3. Notes
    The rest of the information is not necesary. The SAP Note 1261860 describes exactly the problem we have but we are not able to generate template and template type.

    Hi there
    For generation of template for Activity so that you can see the Product info,u just need to generate the Index in SPRO
    Go to IMG and there within the transaction types you can locate the index i am speaking about to generate.
    Here is the path-->IMG->CRM--->Transaction ->Basic Settings->Settings for Activites->Activity Journal--->Activity Standard Template Type
    Here you give your desired language in which you want your template to be created.
    As soon as you genarte that you will be having product info on your Activity screen
    See this arrangement is client specific only so if you are say in sandbox or dev or qual or prod.u need to do this setting  seperately in each client.

    I have a problem in Activity journal in CRM Activities.In activity Journal I created template type and template and also I maitained field selection as REMARKS in attributes tab page of the template type.Now I want to maintain one more field in attribute tab page of the template type.I tried to maintain the another field in field selection but I am unable to maintain another field.Can anybody help me out to solve this problem.Thank you.

  • 'save site as template' missing SP2013

    Hello!
    I would like to save my webpart page as a template. The problem is that i don't see "save site as template" anywhere on this site. On another site i've created the "save site as template" is visible.
    What could be the problem? I think i activated the necessary features.

    Open the site in SharePoint Designer, in the home page, Click on “Site Options”, you will get prompt, In the “Parameters”
     Tab, you can find “SaveSiteAsTempalteEnabled”, set it to true.

  • Jounral Entry apportionment through Journal Template

    Hi Experts:
    I have a business scenario with one of my client.
    They have electricity bill (or all the utility bills) received through the purchasing module which goes into one GL account Electricity.  At the end of the month, they want to apportion the amount from Electricity account as 50% to their branches, 25% to administration and 25% to marketing.
    I tried to achieve this using Journal Template (percent distribution) - by credit 100% from General Electricity and distributing the balance as above
    Unfortunately it does not work - it requires an amount to be put in the first account (General account)
    Any ideas as to how to achieve this ?

    Hi,
    I am not sure what the issue is.
    You create a template that will distribute an amount according to a predifined percentage.
    When you create a Journal Entry from this Posting Template you fill in an amount on 1 of the rows and the other rows will be populated according to the percentage relation with that row. An amount will of course have to be put in as the percentages themselves are not amounts.
    Is it always the same amount or does it change from month to month? The idea with the percentage is to use it as a distribution when the amount changes but the distribution should always be the same.
    If the amount is always the same you could use Recurring Posting.
    Is there something we are missing?

    Hi there,
    does anybody know how to reset the beginning date of activity journals?
    Last we we had our GoLive and I missed to set the date of the activity journals to some month befor. Now oure Sales Resp. can not fill in Activity Journals for visits before the 07.04.07
    If you have an Idea in which field ot table the date is saved, please leave me a message.

  • IPhoto email template missing,

    I am using iphoto '11 and email photo from within. The "classic" and "Journal" template are missing. They used to exist but are blank now. When trying to use them anyway to send photo the photo are attached but not showned in the mesage body.
    I tried to create a second iphoto library. Then the two template are there when working within that new photo library.
    I have an other account on the same iMac with a different iphoto library. The two templates are present.
    I tried to delete the iphoto.plist from the user/preference/ folder. The two missing template are still missing.
    Is there a way to reset and reinstall those two templates ?
    Using an iMac, lion 10.7.2 fully updated. Iphoto 9.2.1 (628).

    First try this:  make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

    3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Next  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If the themes are still missing a reinstall of iPhoto is indicated. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/  folder,

    From your link I looked from Activity Journal for CRM 4.0SR1 (true I forgot to mention the version before) and got this link :

    Unfortunately, it doesn't tell about Template Type modification, because for me the fields in the tile are in gray, and not modifiable (-> ReadOnly). I tried also in another environment, the same 'problem' occurs (note that I haven't tried yet to create a new template type).
    Maybe the maintenance can be done via CRM, what do you think of it ?
