Activity logs

Hi there,
I would like to do some housekeeping on wwv_flow_activity_log1$ and wwv_flow_activity_log2$ tables. Log1 has 1,255,485 records and log2 has 797,046 records. Can I delete from these table directly ? if not then what API should I be use.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Most of these records have been caused by some rogue google crawler which we have fixed now. Therefore, there is no point keeping them, they are just making my backups too big.
I actually wanted to selectively delete these records based my on own where clause from the table (where user agent = that google crawler)..can I do that ?
Also, can I schedule a job which runs once a month and deletes anything older than 30 days ?

This is a common concern among Android and I-phone user, and one of the drawbacks to using a smart phone. We lose so much privacy. Our phones become cameras into our homes for us to be spied on.
I don't know what type of phone you have, if it is even a smart phone, but here is an example of an application that you can use to determine which applications are accessing your information and sending it out.

Activity log design issue in web application .. Whatabout AOP ?

I am working on a big web application in which there is module called activity log which actually logs most of the activities one perform in application like make a payment , defere the payment , issue the check etc. Almost all components in the application less or more use this component.
Now what is my issue is its design sucks. Every time a new activity has to added one has to add a separate class for that and make a call at a particular place in other component depending on some logic. sometime it becomes a nightmare to maintain all this.
I am sure there should be better way to do it .without making a call to this component every othere class.
I dont know much about AOP. Is AOP got some solution for that.? or any design pattern I should use to make it maintainable or simple to add new activities whenever need arise.

whenever need arise.You are thinking exactly the right thing. AOP is born for this sort of thing, and it addresses exactly the problem you've experienced: Move all that code that's duplicated with every new activity into the advice class.
You can do AOP if you have AspectJ or, better yet, Spring.
If not, you can think of Filters as a kind of AOP. Since this is a Web app you can write a Filter that does the logging for you.
Either way, you've nailed the idea. Good thinking.

Is there a way to restore an accidentally deleted activity log?

I am soooo embarrassed. I accidentally deleted the activity log of a phone number I wish to keep. Is there anyway that I can have that activity restored or is it gone forever??

Backing up the device AFTER the calls have been deleted will not backup something that has been previously deleted.
Weekly backups, or more often, are very worth doing.

How to capture content activity log from DMP?

Hi There,
I try to implement content activity log from DMP. The information that I want to get are DMP IP, Conent File Name (video or jpg file), open date/time. The only way that I can do is sending http command direct to DMP (http.file via port 7777).
Is it possible to implement Syslog server to get those information from DMP?

Hi, No but there are many 3rd party apps in the app store but it all depends what activity you need to monitor or log

Active log-in not woking

I have Firefox set to clear my history after I close the browser but did not check the box by active log-in. Yet I have to log into my e-mail and facebook every time even though I checked the "keep me logged in" boxes.
I am now trying to also save Cookies and Cache.

Activity log

I need to be able to see an activity log that shows the date and time a folder was updated with files, and when it was removed and by which user that it was shared in Adobe Creative Cloud. Because I had uploaded the file using the online portal there is no activity stream log within my desktop software. Please help me out by pointing me in the right direction.

does Time Capsule keep access logs/activity logs going back at least a week?
and if so how do I access them?
I use mine for creating my WiFi network and backing up, but I want to check what devices have been on my TC in the last 7days and has it been accessed from something it shouldnt.
opened Airport Utility 5.6 /my TC/ Advanced/ Logs and Statistics but it only shows info spanning the last 48hours

Unfortunately, the logs that you have already accessed in AirPort Utility are the only source of information about activity on your network.

SCEP Client Activity Logs Files - Retention Policy?

In SCEP 2012....
1. Where are client activity log files stored?
2. What is the default retention policy?
I remember with FCS, I think the historical data was stored for 14 months (by default). Is that the same for SCEP?

Logs are in c:\program data\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\Support.
Not sure on retention as I am working in non-persistent VDI's that get their logs reset after a log off!

Mail Activity log

My mail activity log continuously reads: resuming interrupted append or updating color in messages or reading table of contents. I delete mail from my trash and it appears again later. I can't "quit" mail and have to do a "forced quit." Any suggestions?

Virsa Toolbox - Reason/Activity & Log Report

Hello and Happy New Year!
I have been experiencing an issue where I am frequently kicked out of the SAP GUI when running some of the Virsa Tool Box -- Virsa Utilities and Reports --- Reason/Activity & Log Reports specifically. My SAP GUI is 710, Build 967944, Patch Level 7 and my FF/SPM is 5.2 SP12. This problem of getting kicked out started at or near the end of the year and continues today. There is really no rhyme or reason when or why it happens, but I want to see if anyone else experiences this same issue or if anyone knows of a work around/resolution?

I have upgraded the 7.10 GUI to SP15 and the problem still exists. I had our Basis team take a look at the logs and it shows that my connection was terminated or that I lost connection. Also, as a side note, the problem is not server specific.
To provide a little more info, this problem occurs after I have ran the report and then save the file to my desktop as an .rtf. It is intermittent and could happen when I run either report and could occur 50% of the time. I still get the final report, but the GUI will disappear.

Just search for "log4labview" on the example code library.
Maybe this is what you are looking for and you can develop it to your needs.
