Activity Scheduling

Hi ,
I am working on CRM 5.0. In activity scheduling when I am trying to save the activity proposals by going into Calender view and saving, it is giving an error "Activity could not be saved for the mentioned Business Partner".
Pls let me know How can I save the Activity proposal.I have created the activity proposal in Activity scheduling.Pls let me know if I am missing on something.

Block Activity types in Activity Scheduling Calendar

Hi,
We have a requirement in which only some of the Activity types needs to be synchronized to MSA calendar. I've maintained the customizations in CRM side (Trxn:SPRO) and now the activities are being blocked on Activity-->Calendar. But now the issue is that the blocked Activity types when created from Activity Scheduling is appearing over in the Activity Scheduling calendar. I've an analysis like if we can make the reference of the Calendar in Activity Scheduling to the same reference as that of the Activity calendar. Any pointers on this would be helpful

Activity Scheduling Calender problem in PCUI

In Activity Scheduling calender does not show all the activities on calander in Application : CRMD_ACT_SCHEDULING.

Hi Mark,
Activtiy scheduling calendar does not show all the activties in calendar.
For that you have to see the calendar in activity.
All the activities that have been scheduled using Activty scheduling will be shown in the calendar and they will have different colors like Blue (indicates a clash with other activity), Green (no clash) and White ( activity in calendar accepted).
Instead of seeing through the week view the list of activities scheduled or having already appointments, it is possible to see the scheduled activities in graph format on calendar and once you accept the activity, you can see that it turns into Green or white or blue indicator.

Target Group in a Tour and Activity Scheduling

HI.
Right now I am working with the visit plan functionality in CRM 7.0. I am trying to create a tour and then an activity scheduling. My question is: Can I insert a target group when I am creating the tour or the activity scheduling? or I have to insert one by one each account number?

Process chain colour: active/scheduled?

Hi there,
Can i see from just looking at a process chain in RSPC whether or not it is scheduled and active?

Hi Neil Aldum,
1) Go to particular chain which u r going to monitor in RSPC.
2) In planned view u will be knowing whether the chain is in scheduled or Descheduled & also first of all check logs.
3) If the chain is green,it means that chain is Scheduled.
4) If the chain is in Grey colour,it indicates that the chain is descheduled
or If u want to run the chain ,in status bar u will find an option to "Schedule & Activate"

Maintenance of visiting hours on BP for activity scheduling?

We are implementing a SAP CRM 7.0 system and would like to store visiting hours on the customer as well as the contact persons in order to atomatically generate activity proposals based on a visit plan.
I have maintained visit hours, both on the BP as well as the relationship (contact person), but the data is not transfered to the visit plan when we add the customer or the contact person.
My question is, is it possible to store visiting hours on the BP in order to automatically generate an activity proposal based on a visit plan (including the customers or contact persons?) and the visiting hours for the BP:s?
Wich fields do you recommend? Any suggestions?

You have misintrepreted the messages on information bar.
1. The messages that are shown are related to the activity proposals and not visiting hours. You have the option to specify the weekday , start time and week number for each activity that can be generated. If you personalize the columns you will see these fields. these are optional. If you dont specify them, then the system will pick what ever slot is available ( according the header / IMG settings in scheduling ) and show the messages accordingly.
2. There are no messages that are shown for visiting hours even if there is a conflict. It just picks the next slot and schedules the activities. if you try to schedule activities which fall out of visiting hours, it just puts the activity at 00.00 hrs. i think there is lot of work for SAP to do in this area.
check the time slots of generated activities vs visiting hours to make sure if they are considered or not. It works for us correctly, but we are on SP3. If still it does not work for you then you may have to contact SAP.

CRM - Activity scheduling duplicated

Hello!
I've got a problem with the Schedule Activity transaction.
At first I maintained Visit plans in the CRMM_TOUR transaction. It's working good.
After that I starting Schedule Activity transaction (CRMM_ACT_SCHED), and after I choose the corresponding visit plan, I try to scheduling the activities. At first in the calendar the activities is seeing. But after I saving the activities are duplicating in the calendar, and also there will be come into being every activity twice.
So please try to solve my problem!

The ideea behind this flag is if the system should check the available time in the calendar for the given business partner & the user which is running the application.
Be aware that this flag is working in combination with the "Maintain Calendar" flag from the partner determination procedure.

Mass activity scheduling

Hi experts,
Im facing some problems to deal with mass activity jobs.
When I run some mass activity transaction (ebw_dw_ss for instance) I get many records, but when I create a job to run this transaction, it doesnt work; the job always ends with 0 records extracted.

Regarding project activity scheduling based on the personnel resource

hello all,
I need one help from you guys. Before explaining the problem let me tell you all the scenario. We are implementing Project system Version ECC 6.0. We have a requirement of our client that the activity duration to be changed according to the availablity of the personnel resources attached to it. We don't have HR implementation here. I have already tried with the help of calculation key setting to 'calculate Duration' to get the activity duration automatically. But customer wants as per the availability of the personnel, activity duration should get adjusted.

I do not think it is possible. SAP's logic is to do capacity planning based on the 'work' and 'activity duration'. Hence the requirement of deciding "activity duration' based on available capanity (read man power) is just the opposite of the fundamental logic.
Further, project, by basic defintion, is an entity with definite start and end dates. Hence if you allow available capacity to decide the duration of activity and consequently the project duration, the project end date becomes indefinite and a totally dependent entity.
I do not think any system will support it.
This, I want to clarify, is based on my limited understanding, and not based on any SAP documentation

BI Scheduler Issue

We have BI servers (Primary & Secondary) and both are on cluster (Load Balancing). Users are able to connect both servers without any issues.
Primary server Scheduler is Active and Secondary scheduler one is Inactive all the time. If I make Secondary server Scheduler is Active then automatically Primary one is become Inactive (vice versa)
OBIEE environment: 10g (10.1.3.4.2)

it seems to be normal because the BI Scheduler component participates in the BI Cluster in active-passive mode. Install BI Scheduler on two machines, one will be identified as the active node and the other as the passive node. So if the active BI Scheduler crashes then the second becomes active to allow scheduling.

Assuming that you have already gone through the default scheduler configuration on each node, adding these to the cluster is quite straight forward. In the [OracleBI]/server/Config/NQClusterConfig.INI file, add the following line
SCHEDULERS = "aravis4.rmcvm.com:9705:9708", "aravis1.rmcvm.com:9705:9708";
(obviously replacing my server names with your own). This will basically tell the Cluster Controller that the first server in the list, namely aravis4, will be the main/active scheduler, and aravis1 will be the passive one. Next step is to configure each scheduler to join the cluster. On each node, use the schconfig tool to change the Advanced settings of the Scheduler (Choice 1, 3 and then 3) to set ‘Participant in a Cluster’ to True. Save your settings and exit the tool. Now restart the cluster controllers on each node and then start up the schedulers.

Automating the mass activity FPBW (pscd open items extraction into BW)

We are trying to automate the PSCD mass activity for open item extraction into bw. We have tried using the t-code FPBW (how you would run it manually), and we have also tried using the mass activity scheduler - rfkk_ma_scheduler. We can't get it so the key date updates each week. Can anyone provide some guidance on how to get this automated?

My Business requirement is to create a Visit Plan and assigned it respective Employee Responsible with Activity Type "Task". With this I am creating a Task for that employee so that once user Log-on (Employee Resp.) can see their task on Home Page under task items.
1.Visit Plan is Creating with no error , 2. assignment to Employee responsible is also fine 3. Visit Plan is transaction is saving with no errors. 4. The Only problem /Error is that assigned task is not slisting to the User (Employee Responsible) .
For this I have done the required configuration, but the problem is the Assigned TASK is not listing to the User.
The following settings were done:
1. SPRO->CRM-> Transaction -> Configure Z TASK Transaction Type
2. SPRO->CRM-> Transaction ->Setting for Activity->Define Default Values for Visit Plan and Activity Scheduling.
3. SPRO->CRM-> Transaction ->Setting for Activity->Assign Categories to Transaction Types
Kindly guide with expertize Knowledge.

1) What is the standard transaction type for visit plans in SAP CRM?
2) If I create a visit plan for my subordinates and once released can this visit plan be seen in the employee's calendar or how would it be seen in the employee's log in
3) Once the visit plan is assigned to the employees and if the employee did complete the visit plan how will he/she record or update his observations in the system.

DI Job Schedules not starting (running) scheduled using DI Web Admin

I have DI Jobs that have job schedules that I created through DI Web Admin and have active schedules. I have some jobs that start to run at their schedule time while others have active schedules but do not start at their schedule time.

Im not sure but a lot of times corruption happens and hence its better you redo your scheduling.
