Activity Status: Released (REL) - Created (CRTD)
Hi Experts,
Is there any way that I can change the status back to Created (CRTD) after I changed it to Released (REL)?
Thank you!
Hi,
you can't revoke system status from REL to CRTD in sap ps. It's a std sap ps functionality.
just for information update to you in sap pp you can revoke production order system status from REL to CRTD on certain conditions.

Read Master Data for Process order status change (REL to CRTD)
I am unable to read master data and thus change the status of process order from REL to CRTD. (COR2)
The reason it says, error in BOM reading, Transport Requirement (TR) already generated.
Even after deleting the TR (LB02), the issue still exists.
Is there another way of changing the status or some more steps are needed for the TR deletion?
Thnx!
Abhi.Order header Status-
REL Released
MSPT Material shortage
PRT Printed
PRC Pre-costed
BASC Batch assignment complete
BCRQ Order to be handled in batches
SETC Settlement rule create.
In the error log it gives-
Diagnosis
Transfer requirements have already been generated, so therefore the bill of material cannot be read.
System Response
The system does not execute the action.
Then I deleted the TR (LB02), but still I cannot reread the master data.
The MSPT was for only 2 materials out of 6 and there is no GMPS status.
There is prod supply area and control cycle used.
and the TR generated at order release. -
Production order status REL to CRTD
Hi Gurus,
Can we convert production order status from REL to CRTD. Please explain under what circumstances we revert the status from release to created and how?
Regards,
JejeshHI,
You can convert Production Order status REL to CRTD by following way:
GO to CO02 -
> Functions -
> Read PP Master Data
where you can again reread BOM & Routing
So after doing Read PP Master Data your production order status will be CRTD from REL provided you should not have carried out any other transaction like GI, Confirmations etc.
Hope this resolves your issue.
Revert if any doubt and reward if useful.

WBS Element System Status to REL-Release
Hi,
I am looking for a way to set the System Status to REL instead of CRTD- created as soon as the WBS element is created.
Can any one please provide their valuable suggestion.
Thanks for your help,
SatishHi Satish,
Sorry to say that I am still unclear with the requirement.
When you say that users want to post cost to the WBS element, is it a direct Cost entry against the WBS or is it through GI/Service Enrtry and acceptance?
If it is through GI/Service Enrtry and acceptance, then no costs can be posted without the release of the WBS.
Hope I have put my point clearly.

How to Get the created Request Activity Status using SCSM 2012 SDK
Hi, i have created a ServiceRequest,
so there are Activities related to Servicerequest.
I am trying to know the Status of the each Activity (Completed,Failed etc)
and the Change of Activity (like from ReviewActivity to RunBookActivity).
how can we get the Activity status change programmatically.
so that i could Display this Status to other Portal,
I am Creating a CustomActivity with ActivityID as Parameter to Workflow inheriting WorkflowActivityBase
protected
override
ActivityExecutionStatus Execute(ActivityExecutionContext
executionContext)
Is this a Right Approach..???
Plz respond as m not getting the way ..I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to accomplish, but I can give you some guidance on getting the status of activities that are part of a service request.
Quick overview before we get to the code: After we connect to the database we want to retrieve some management packs, a relationship, and a type projection. We then want to create some criteria for querying the Service Manager database. Then we execute the
query and traverse the results, displaying the activity ID and it's status.
//Connect to Service Manager
EnterpriseManagementGroup emg = new EnterpriseManagementGroup("<your management server>");
//Get some management packs
ManagementPack mpSystem = emg.ManagementPacks.GetManagementPack(SystemManagementPack.System);
ManagementPack mpSRLib = emg.ManagementPacks.GetManagementPack("ServiceManager.ServiceRequest.Library", mpSystem.KeyToken, new Version("7.5.1464.0"));
ManagementPack mpWorkItemLibrary = emg.ManagementPacks.GetManagementPack("System.WorkItem.Library", mpSystem.KeyToken, new Version("7.5.1464.0"));
ManagementPack mpActivityLib = emg.ManagementPacks.GetManagementPack("System.WorkItem.Activity.Library",mpSystem.KeyToken,new Version("7.5.1464.0"));
//Get the relationship and type projection we'll be using for this query
ManagementPackRelationship mprWIContainsActivity = mpActivityLib.GetRelationship("System.WorkItemContainsActivity");
ManagementPackTypeProjection mptpWIActivities = mpSRLib.GetTypeProjection("System.WorkItem.ServiceRequestAndActivityViewProjection");
//This is the work item (such as a service request) ID that we're looking for
String WorkItemID = "SR123";
//Setup the criteria. This will instruct service manager to "Get me the service request with ID SR123"
String strWICriteria = String.Format(@"
<Criteria xmlns=""http://Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.Criteria/"">
<Reference Id=""System.WorkItem.Library"" PublicKeyToken=""{0}"" Version=""{1}"" Alias=""WILib"" />
<Expression>
<SimpleExpression>
<ValueExpressionLeft>
<Property>$Target/Property[Type='WILib!System.WorkItem']/Id$</Property>
</ValueExpressionLeft>
<Operator>Equal</Operator>
<ValueExpressionRight>
<Value>" + WorkItemID + @"</Value>
</ValueExpressionRight>
</SimpleExpression>
</Expression>
</Criteria>
", mpWorkItemLibrary.KeyToken, mpWorkItemLibrary.Version.ToString());
//Build the projection criteria
ObjectProjectionCriteria opcWI = new ObjectProjectionCriteria(strWICriteria, mptpWIActivities,emg);
//Perform the query
IObjectProjectionReader<EnterpriseManagementObject> oprWIs = emg.EntityObjects.GetObjectProjectionReader<EnterpriseManagementObject>(opcWI,ObjectQueryOptions.Default);
//oprWIs contains all of the work items with ID "SR123" (and there will only be one work item with that ID)
//We loop through all the work items in the oprWIs collection
foreach (EnterpriseManagementObjectProjection emopWI in oprWIs)
//Next we loop through all of the activities contained by our work item, using the WorkItemContainsActivity relationship
//NOTE that these activities are in no particular order. You'll have to use the icpActivity.Object[null,"SequenceId"].Value to order them
foreach (IComposableProjection icpActivity in emopWI[mprWIContainsActivity.Target])
//Since activity status is an enumeration, we want to display it's displayname, not it's value (enumeration values are just GUIDs or other unique identifiers)
ManagementPackEnumeration status = (ManagementPackEnumeration)icpActivity.Object[null, "Status"].Value;
//For this little snippet, we're just outputting the activity ID and it's status
Console.WriteLine(icpActivity.Object[null,"Id"].Value + " " + status.DisplayName);
Regarding the rest of your post, I'm not sure what you meant when you said you wanted the "change of activity". Are you trying to display the time that an activity's status changed (stored in the activity's history records)?
Second, if you're displaying this information on some other custom portal, what is the purpose for the workflow?
A couple disclaimers: Use this code at your own risk, there are no guarantees, etc etc :) Second, I'm assuming you're on Service Manager 2012 RC at least (otherwise the "versions" in the code will need to be changed)
Are you new to the SCSM SDK? If so, this code snippet might seem overwhelming. I recommend reading the Service Manager blog to get an idea about how classes, objects, relationships, type projections, etc all work.
Here's a link to a post by Travis that uses the SDK..he also references a lot of the information necessary to best understand Service Manager's inner workings :)

Bring PO system status released back to created
Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to bring system status Released of Production Order back to created status?
Actually during release the system gave a message that Cpacity availability check could not be carried out due to configuration settings. But system allowed to release the order.
Now I have changed the the configuration setting in checking control so that capacity check is carried out during release. But since the order is already released , how will my changes take effect in the order?
Is it possible that I bring the order back to created status & then release it so that the changes made can take effect?Hi,
Use <b>Read PP Master data</b> function in the change mode of the order to revert the status of the order from Released to Created. From Menu bar: Functions--->Read PP Master Data
Prerequisite:
No Confirmation or Goods Movement should have been done against the order.

PLM7.02: Status & Release Management/ Status and Action Management
Hello,
I´d like to know if anybody worked with Status & Release Management. And has some example to how we can customize: SAM (Status and Action Management) in “Define Status Scheme” transaction.
How it´s works the relationship with: Status: Attributes, Status: Field values, Scheme Definition, Attributes: Definition.
I´ll appreciated if you could give me a simple example of this functionality.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards from Brazil.
Rodrigo AraiHi Rodrigo,
in a nutshell:
- you can define status network based on objects (w.g. material)
- Define Attributes: you can define attributes like DELETION_ALLOWED or LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE and you can implement preconditions in custom classes when should it happen
- Define Status Field: you can define some fields which are related to the status. e.g. in recipe management RCP_USAGE
- Status: you can define the different statuses (e.g. in process, completed..) with attributes
- Scheme Definition: you can define the logic between statuses. E.g. you would like to swith from status In Process to Completed and from New to In Process. Then switching from New to Completed is not possible for the user.
- Subobject Type Scheme only applied if you have subobjects
here you can find the customizing documentation, there are some examples as well:
Define Status Scheme
Use
In this Customizing activity, you define statuses and status schemes for object types and corresponding attributes.
For each status, you can define which attributes are allowed to be set for an object with this status assigned.
The status scheme defines the initial status and the possible transitions from one status to another.
Activities
You define status schemes as follows:
1. Select the required object type and enter the following:
a) An identifier
b) An object type class (Note: this class should implement the interface class)
c) A subobject type search help
The search help provides a list of all possible subobject types. This feature enhances the usability while maintaining status schemes at subobject-type level.
d) If the
Status
tab page shall be visible on the PLM Web UI, select the
Status Tab
checkbox
Status and action management is a reusable object. It has been modeled as a dependent object. The prerequisites to enable status and action management for any new objects are:
Add the Status and Action Management tab page on the UI.
Enable the Status Tab checkbox in this Customizing activity.
2. Select the required object type and define the following attributes for it:
a) An object type
b) An attribute identifier
c) An attribute description
d) An attribute type
e) Select a precondition class (Note: This class should implement the '/PLMB/IF_SAM_PRECONDITION' interface)
3. Define the technical status field name.
When you change the object status, the system updates the technical status field names to the new values made in these settings.
4. Select object type and define corresponding statuses.
a) Select the status and define the corresponding object type, an identifier, description, and status icon.
Note:
You cannot define new statuses for materials and material BOMs. For these objects, all values should be transferred from the back-end system.
You can import the status values from the back-end system as follows:
b) Select the object type that represents a material or a MatBOM.
c) Select
Status
in the dialog structure.
d) Choose the
New Entries
pushbutton.
e) Choose the
Import Status
pushbutton.
Note
The system imports the following status values into SAM:
For material: the
X-plant matl status
(cross-plant material status)
For MatBOM: the header status
Although you cannot change the imported value for a material or a MatBOM, you can change its name and description to conform to SAM terminology.
You can differentiate between the following cases for objects whose status values are imported from the back-end system:
The object was not created on the PLM Web UI, but in the back-end system; no SAM status scheme or status was assigned, but a status value was set in the back-end system.
If you assign a SAM status scheme to this object later on that contains the equivalent imported status values, the SAM status value is set accordingly, even if any precondition check results of the SAM status scheme may exist.
The object was created in the back-end system or on the Web UI and a SAM status scheme is assigned to the object on the PLM Web UI.
If the corresponding status value is changed in the back-end system, then existing SAM preconditions for this status transition and allowed status transitions are checked. If the preconditions are not fulfilled, a message is raised and the new status cannot be saved.
5. Specify which attributes are allowed for each object type when the chosen status is set.
a) Select a status and open the
Attributes
screen.
b) Choose an object type.
c) Choose an attribute.
6. Define whether values from other technical fields are affected by setting this status.
a) Select a status and open the
Field Values
screen.
b) Select an object type.
c) Select a technical field name.
7. Specify the status scheme. The status scheme defines the initial status and status transition for the object type. For example, below is a list of standard status schemes defined for iPPE object types.
Assembly Header - PLM_PPEAH
Assembly Item - PLM_PPEAI
Product Item Variant - PLM_PPEPIV
Product Variant - PLM_PPEPV
You can also create schemes for the object type as follows:
a) Specify an identifier and description for the status scheme and set one of the statuses defined above as the initial status.
b) Select the status scheme and open the
Transitions
screen. Enter all possible status transitions by specifying the source (
Status From
) and target status (
Status To
c) Select the
Long Text
checkbox if you want the system to open the long text editor on the
Status
tab in the PLM Web UI. You can use the long text editor to create notes for this transition.
8. Define the scheme at subobject-type level by entering following parameters:
a) Object type
b) Subobject type (You can choose from the list of subobject types you have specified when defining the search help in step 1)
Alternatively, you can define a default status scheme that is automatically displayed on the
Status
tab.
The following statuses are included in the standard delivery:
10 - In Work
20 - For Approval
LINKED_DIR
LINKED_MAT
LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE
REPLACE_PH_ASSEMBLY (only in the PLM_PPEAI assembly item and the PLM_PPEPIV product item variant)
30 - Released For Planning
LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE
40 - Released
RELEASED
SUB_ITEM_STATUS
The following status transitions are possible:

How to delete WBS at 2nd level if system status is REL (no cost have been populated yet). What happened is that system is set to auto release when created.
Hi,
If there are no postings , or account assignment objects such as purchase order, production order etc, you can right click the WBSE and delete it. Also you can select the WBSE and use the 'delete' icon to delete the WBSE.

Jobs not coming to active status
Hi experts,
All the jobs status in bi prod server,even though the planned start date and time is crossed are still in the released state only. But they are not coming to active status. What should i do in order to make these jobs active ?
Regards,
Bhadri M.Hi Beekay,
Thanks for the reply.
In sm50 there are 4 BGDS in the status Running.
Please explain what there these BGDS.
Nearly 10 jobs might be running in parallel in a gap of 1 hour
time span. If i delete all the jobs and start running them with
new start conditions with 10 minutes gap will they run
properly ?
How to check whether there is enough work processes to run
the jobs or not in SM50 or SM51 ?

Background job status "Released"
Hi ,
I am executing standard SAP program in background and it shows the status as "Released" with "Delay" more than 3000 sec.
What is the reason I am not able to start the job with "Active" status?
Please help.
thanks & regards,

Rob Burbank wrote:
> If it wre already running, the status would be active.
Rob,
Yes,Its really depends on how "Background job cofiguration" has been done in system by basis.
As i can also see the job status is only Realesed(Not active) once i ran it in background immidiately.
And once job finished it shows "Finished" status.No where "Active" status came
@Yogita:Your job is still running i guess since more than 3000Sec.so thats why it(Time) is showing in delay.
Once job is finished you will be able to see its status Finished.
I would also suggest you to Knock basis

Status Profile: Multiple Active Statuses
I have created a status profile through BS02 and assigned to a couple of Sales Document Types.
After implementing, I have found that there can be multiple active statuses. This is not a desired result.
1. Is there a way to control the profile, so that only one status CAN be active?
2. Is there a way to "fix" the orders which currently have multiple statuses?
Thanks.Hi Tom,
after creating status u need to assign status to sales document.the particular status work for that sales document only.Go to VOV8 in transaction flow tab u enter ur status at status profile field and save the document.
Please do check the status how u maitained Ex.for qotation bolck,order block,delivery block... assign appropriate status to the sales document.
Hope this may solve ur issue.

Processing status & release status
Hi,
There is a configuration which says: DEFINE processing status.
Can somebody expalin in details the use of it .
In short i would like to know about the processing status & release status.
thanks,
prithikaPrithika,
Processing Status and Release status work closely both are interlinked. you can define processing status and assign it to condition record. Release status controls in which scenarios the condition record are found.
The release status can only be maintained directly for agreements. For condition records, this is done via the processing status.
Configuration for Processing status can carried out using
IMG --> SD --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Define Processing status
Here you can create processing status and Release status will be assigned according to the scenarios if it were "B", "Release for pricing simulation" will be assigned to the processing status.
Using Tcode SM30, choose Table/View: "/BEV3/CHA_KOND".
Activate Enter Conditions Indicator
Click maintain and use the options provided.
