Activity Streams Issue

The documentation shows a “File” link next to the “Attach” content that no longer shows up on our Space. What could be the reason for this?
Additionally, there seems to be a bug where there is no publishing of anything to the activity stream if that space was configured for “Advanced” role permissions, as is the case with our particular space. Is our only option re-creating it from scratch since once “Advanced” permissions is set you can’t turn them back off?
One idea I had for that was to close the space, export it and then see if we can edit the exported data to remove/change the permissions. Another Demo Space we have space does not have this issue because the permissions were never set to advanced. I was thinking if we export this space we may be able to see the difference and adjust the broken space's export accordingly and re-import it without having to recreate the entire space. Does this sound like a valid solution or is there an easier cleaner approach?

The documentation shows a “File” link next to the “Attach”....Can you perhaps put a link to the documentation because i don't have a clue what you are talking about.
there seems to be a bug where there is no publishing I tried it on my installation and it works probably.
Can you try to create a new group space and set the advanced security and see if its work. Also make sure you do something before you change the settings to see if the AS works in normal conditions.
Also check your user his profile to see if the notifications are on for the different resoruces.

  • Unable to publish in the Activity Stream of my portal

    Recently I've been working on a Portal Site and in the page of Activity Stream, I couldn't publish anything after I clicked on "publish" button. This problem only happened on that specific space, not other spaces.
    Another thing I noticed is: under the "Share Something" box, there were only "Attach: Link". It were missing "File". It should be "Attach: Link | File".
    Could someone who knows this issue give me some suggestions? Thank you!!

    I figured out a way to fix this with my new Apple TV!
    After trying EVERYTHING!...(Trust me, I had tried EVERYTHING!) including restoring Apple TV to the original factory settings....reconiguring in every-which possible way.....
    Here's what I did to make it work.
    I happened to be in the "Settings" app of my iPhone, where I did something with the calendar settings for  iCloud.
    There, it prompted me to read the new "Terms & Conditions".  I agreed to them and then went directly to my Apple TV and it immediately worked.
    This was after WEEKS of trying EVERYTHING!
    So the key is to get an Apple device to prompt you with the new "Terms & Conditions".  Once you've agreed to it, you should find that Apple TV will let your PhotoStream work again!
    Hope that helps!

  • Activity stream in CC desktop manager is not updated

    Hello, the activity stream on the Home panel of the Adobe CC desktop manager is not updated. I'm logged, I sync, I reinstalled the Adobe CC manager. I use the same Adobe CC account on another MacBookPro OS X 10.10 and the activity stream in the Home panel is fine.
    MacBookAir OSX 10.10.1, Adobe CC (2014), no firewall

    I'm having the opposite problem.  All those listed in the screen shot as "Install" have been installed.
    Deleting OPM.db and downloading and installing CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg did not fix the issue.
    Do I really need to delete all of my installed apps and starting from scratch?
    david
    Apps are listed as "Install" when they've already been installed

  • Apple iPad 6.1.2 10B147 - Active Sync Issues Remain

    Hi,
    Please correct me ASAP if I am posting this in the wrong area of the discussion forum.
    I have a batch of Apple iPad devices that are now connecting to our Exchange 2003 system using Apple iPad iOS 6.1.2 10B147 devices. It would seem that these devices may have the 6.1 Active Sync issue again even though this version was meant to fix the issue.
    A couple of users have reported this morning reoccuring calender cancellations, we have also had excessive log growth on Exchange 2007 platform.
    Here is the reported "Device Agent" from Active Sync logs:
    Apple-iPad3C6/1002.147
    Apple-iPad2C7/1002.147
    Apple-iPad2C7/1002.147
    Apple-iPad3C6/1002.147
    Apple-iPad2C7/1002.147
    Apple-iPad3C6/1002.147
    Here is the reported Device iOS
    DeviceOS
    iOS 6.1.2 10B147
    Does anyone know if Apple has this as a reported bug yet on their fixed version? If not is there an official Apple bug submission process that should be followed?
    Regards
    Ben Paddick

    Hi waddock,
    I think that for the most part, iOS 6.1.2 resolved the recurring calendar bug and the significant battery drain issues.  With that said, I have had a couple cases of devices still experiencing the battery drain but not the calendar bug.  Quick fix is to remove the Exchange mailbox(es) from the device and re-add it.  If there are any existing accounts that use Exchange ActiveSync (I think Hotmail and legacy GoogleSync), I just remove and add them back to just in case.
    I suggest checking here for periodic updates on what's going on with EAS (Exchange ActiveSync) and 3rd party devices like Apple:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2563324
    I assume you're an on-premise environment, so to mitigate short-term, you may want to think about blocking certain devices on certain operating systems using your Device Access Settings in Exchange for mobile devices.
    For feedback for Apple, you can do it a couple ways.  This is the internet facing site:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
    Or you can create an Apple Developer account (or Apple IT program if you have an enterprise agreement with them) and start submitting feedback during your testing (i.e. beta versions of iOS):
    https://developer.apple.com/
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Major streaming issue!

    Hey Guys,
    I am having major streaming issues with my Macbook and Apple TV. Here is a detailed overview of my setup.
    Netgear 802.11G Router
    SSID off
    WEP 128 Bit hex key
    DHCP
    Wireless devices
    Powerbook G4
    Macbook
    Apple TV
    iPod Touch
    XP laptop
    Wired device
    XP desktop
    All these devices are able to access the wireless network fine - and have no problem connecting to the internet.
    Apple TV is running SW 2.0 - I don't know if the same issue would have occurred in SW 1.0 as I did the SW upgrade on it straight away (getting close to a system reset though)
    I am able to see the Apple TV in iTunes 7.6 and have all the details of my Apple TV.
    When I try to play any of "my movies" I sometimes get an error saying can't recognize file type or something along those lines - or it just gets stuck on a black screen with the buffering "spinning gear" winding till the Apple TV goes in to the screen saver.
    I tried on many different resolutions but it did not fix the issue.
    The same thing happens with TV Shows and Podcasts - haven't tried YouTube just yet.
    I am able to play movie trailers though both standard definition and high definition.
    Another thing to mention is the load up of the Apple TV is very jittering and stutters.
    The thing that makes me wonder is I ran it on another Netgear G router network earlier today and everything went fine - and I was able to playback videos that I am not able to do now - which kind of makes me look at the network - but the fact that HD trailers load almost instantly and play fine makes me think perhaps Apple TV? The fact it doesn't load smoothly concerns me.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I just removed Apple TV from iTunes and cleared an connections in "Computer" tab of Apple TV and reset everything - still the same issue.
    Apple TV loads very jittery and it doesn't load video files to playback - but it does playback music and movie trailers. I am guessing it has no problems with the trailers as that is not something that gets accessed via the Macbook. Really starting to think this could be a bandwidth issue know, just weird that it was all hunky dory on another G network! Besides all my laptops get full reception where the Apple TV is situated and I can't think of any interference in the position that it is in.
    Any other ideas people - don't want to have to shell out for a base station just right now.

  • SAP HR Active Sync Issue

    Hi,
    I encountered SAP HR Active Sync issue: The IDM seems can't receive the IDOC but SAP side says the data already passed to port OK.
    I enabled the verbose mode of the Active Sync logs and it is repeating:
    2009-06-04T17:07:08.750+0800: IDOCs of message type HRMD_A will be processed.
    2009-06-04T17:07:08.750+0800: {jco.server.gwhost=10.153.3.20, jco.server.progid=IDMRFC, jco.server.gwserv=sapgw01, jco.server.trace=1, jco.server.unicode=1}

    SAP side transaction WE02 shows the IDOC:
    IDoc sent to SAP system or external program: Data passed to port OK
    SAP HR Active Sync resource reference says:
    1. Enter transaction code PFAL.
    2. Insert the Object Type P for person objects.
    3. Enter an Employee's ID for the Object ID or select a range of employees.
    4. Click Execute.
    5. Ensure that the status is set to “passed to port okay.”
    6. The IDoc has been created. Check the Active Sync adapter log file to verify that
    an update was received.
    Now why I can't see the IDOC logs in the active sync adaptor log file?
    Thanks!

    Hi Wushilin,
    Did you ever find a solution to this?
    Thanks

  • Input WCM content to Activity Stream Taskflow

    Hi I am trying to input the data coming from WCM to Activity Stream task flow. Plan is read the data from WCM using java API and input it to the activity stream task flow. Can some one tell me how can we access this taskflow using Java API. I went through the API ref but couldn't fig out how to use it.
    Thank in advance

    Hi.
    You can use WebCenter API. In case of version 11.1.1.8:http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/apirefs.1111/e15995/oracle/webcenter/activitystreaming/package-summary.html
    Take a look in the classes ActivityStreamingService and ActivityStreamingServiceFactory
    Basically you have to use ActivityStreamingService for posting new updates. How?.
    To get the ActivityStreamService:
    ActivityStreamingService service = ActivityStreamingServiceFactory.getInstance().getActivityStreamingService();
    Fill all parameters requited for method createActivityElement
    applicationID - application ID of the activity:
    WCApplicationFactory fact = FactoryFinder.getFactory(WCApplicationFactory.class.getCanonicalName());
    WCApplication application = fact.getWCApplication();
    String applicationID = application.getApplicationName();
    scope - the Scope of the activity
    ServiceContext.getContext().getScope()
    serviceID - the service ID of the activity Depending of the content there are different serviceId:
    wiki = oracle.webcenter.wiki
    blog = oracle.webcenter.blog
    document = oracle.webcenter.doclib
    webContent = oracle.webcenter.content
    You can use UCMHelper.getServiceID passing the resourceType as argument to calculate it or when retrieving the node with Content Presenter, using #{node.propertyMap['webcenter:serviceid'].value.stringValue} will retrieve corresponding serviceID directly.
    activityType - type of the activity Take a look into the API to fill it
    actors - list of actors involved in the activity (there must be at least one actor in the activity) Take a look into the API to fill it
    objects - list of objects involved in the activity (optional) Take a look into the API to fill it
    permission - the permission of the activity Take a look into the API to fill it
    activityTime - time when the activity happens Take a look into the API to fill it
    Sample taken from activity libraries. Remember replace all the sample variables with how to get ApplicationID, Current Scope, etc... that I share to you
    ActivityStreamingService service = ActivityStreamingServiceFactory.getInstance().getActivityStreamingService();
          ActivityActor actor0 = service.createActor(this.actor0DisplayName.toLowerCase());
          ActivityActor actor1 = service.createActor(this.actor1DisplayName.toLowerCase());
          List actors = new ArrayList();
          if ((!this.actor0DisplayName.equals("")) || (!this.actor0DetailURL.equals("")))
            actors.add(actor0);
          if ((!this.actor1DisplayName.equals("")) || (!this.actor1DetailURL.equals("")))
            actors.add(actor1);
          ActivityObjectType objectType = ((JpaActivityStreamingService)service).createObjectType("message");
          ActivityObject object0 = service.createObject("object0", objectType, this.object0DisplayName);
          ActivityObject object1 = service.createObject("object1", objectType, this.object1DisplayName);
          List objects = new ArrayList();
          if ((!this.object0DisplayName.equals("")) || (!this.object0DetailURL.equals("")))
            objects.add(object0);
          if ((!this.object1DisplayName.equals("")) || (!this.object1DetailURL.equals("")))
            objects.add(object1);
          ActivityType activityType = ((JpaActivityStreamingService)service).createActivityType("test");
          activityType.setMessage(this.message);
          ActivityElement activity = service.createActivityElement("customapp", new Scope("test"), "oracle.webcenter.activitystreaming.test", activityType, actors, objects, ActivityPermission.SHARED, new Date());
          service.publish(activity);

  • Can we bind twitter streaming with web center activity stream.

    Our PM suggests us to use Web center activity stream to store the twitter status based on our twitter search filter . To achieve that, it seems that we need to include the activity taskflow ( or data control) in our application and binding the taskflow with our twitter streaming. Is there any approach to achieve that? where can I find more details about using/extending activity stream.

    Hi-
    You can fit a 802.11n PCI Wireless adapter in your tower for maximum speed.

  • YouTube streaming issues

    Is anyone else having YouTube streaming issues? I can only get about 5-10 seconds of video to play. Then if I try to restart the video it doesn't play at all. It's been this way for a couple of days now. It doesn't matter which wifi network I'm on either. I read the videos are going through an Apple proxy server so I wonder if the server is having issues since it used to work just fine.
    I have a new 8GB 3g touch with about 1.5 GB of free space. All other Internet apps work fine.
    -posted from my touch using Safari.
    Dan

    Restored and setup as a brand new iPad - same issue.
    Likely the app itself,
    Other apps such as twitch.tv / Air video HD etc stream without issue (even with the screen auto locking
    I'll bring this up with Google.

  • IS07 Car Music Bluetooth Streaming Issue - Help Needed

    I drive an Audi A1 which I have owned from new 11 months ago. I updated my iPhone 5 to the IS 7.0.4 around 1 month ago and since doing that I now have streaming issues in my car. The connection is via bluetooth, and the music is streamed from my iPhone, however since the update the music cuts out, skips and pauses............
    I took the car to a service centre today where it was confirmed a known issue within the Audi network.
    So how do we go around this? What do I need in order to stream music without the interference? I am pretty sure Apple wouldn't want to pay my car invoice for the added extras that I purchased in order for me to enjoy my music so surely there must be a way around this?
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    This is not about law, it's about software/hardware. But since you're bringing it up, when Siri was introduced for the iPhone 4s, there was a man in a car using siri with his apple earplugs. I searched for law about this in my country (Netherlands) and it's not forbidden.
    Now back to my issue: I want to use a headphone to listen to music and I want to make a call through bluetooth. Iphone doesn't remember I was listening to the music through the headphone. Issue, right?

  • Setting advanced query on Activity Stream

    Hi
    I'm using Publisher and Activity Stream taskflows together in a page and I need to differenciate when an uploaded document comes from publisher or not.
    By setting an advanced query at Activity Stream Content Presenter, for example: AE.ACTIVITY_TYPE NOT IN (\'create-document\') hide all the new documents uploaded by users on Content Server regardless of the location. That expression doesn't differentiate between documents uploaded to a personal folder or a public one.
    I need to hide on the activity stream all the new documents uploaded under /PersonalSpaces folder and subfolders in Content Server. So, documents uploaded using Publisher would appear because are stored under /WebCenterSpaces/my_folder_space/
    Documentation is quite poor.
    Please help.
    Regards

    So,
    For Case 1 : When Process B is getting executed in a separate Thread and Transaction , then when process A is getting rolled back why B is also getting rolled back as it's in different thread althgether.
    3) For Case2 : Please clear my following understanding :
    When we set the value to 'sync' for process B, then B will act like a synchronous process(ideally it Async), and will get committed after the it's execution. Because of this, even if A is getting rolled back, B will not get rolledback because it is already committed. For case 1:
    By calling process B, an invocation message is being insert into the dehydration store. That causes process B to be created as a new thread/transaction.
    When you perform rollback->the new transaction that was made following the new thread, is being rollback among the rest of your process transaction(the rollback causes the message not to be save and for that you can't see new instance).
    For case 2:
    By calling process B, only a new transaction is being creating, and invocation message is not being insert into the dehydration store.
    So actualy, you have 1 thread and 2 transactions, and you are telling your process(thread) to rollback only the current transaction and not the new one (process A not owns the new transaction).
    2) You mentioned if we are calling Process B with No Rollback. How to call B with No Rollback? Is there any property like that? It was just an example. Forget about it.
    I hope it answered you questions...

  • Activity Stream in the Webcenter

    Hi All,
    I am working on web center portlet JHeadstart application there is a requirement like when i add any entry in that table the same time Activity stream should get updated how to achieve this task.
    Can you please help me.
    Thanks.

    Hi.
    Update: Sorry I probably mistake saying Materialized View for your requirement.
    You have to do some PL/SQL, triggers and update your Activity Stream table.
    Regards.

  • Activity Stream Will Not Load

    Hi Guys
    I'm having more problems with Adobe's *&¥±∑βΩ%^ing cloud!
    Now that's off my chest, I'm using a Dell Precision6700 with a Win7 64bit OS. I've been trying to update AECS6 since last week but it crashes at 50%, with a corrupted file message (I've raised this on the AE forum).
    I've tried closing my firewall but no dice, so I thought I'd logout and back into the application manager. First I couldn't logout; "quit" was greyed out but I didn't exit the programme and everytime I reopned the AM I was still in it, even after rebooting. Next I "quit" again but closed down for the evening. This time I did exit the manager. Now when I enter my details I get back into the manager but the activity stream will not load (I just get the little wheel going around) until the screen just closes by itself.
    For someone unimpressed by the Cloud in the first place these types of glitches are not winning my heart and mind. Can anyone tell me how I might fix this simply, without having to buy a new laptop?
    Regards,
    Graham

    Photo stream only maintains photos for 30 days.  After that they are deleted from photo stream but not from any devices than have already downloaded the photo stream photos.  When you enabled photo stream on your new phone you were only able to download photos that fall within this 30 day period as the others are no longer in your photo stream (even though they remain on your other devices).
