Actor Create Executable Anomally

Hi,
I have a horrible feeling I'm going to look really stupid after posting this, but if I'm doing something really obvious and wrong then I'll take that over the struggle I'm currently having getting an Actor Framework to run as an executable!
I have built an Actor Framework application that relative to some of the ones I've done before is incredibly simple, and in fact I've stripped everything back to having a VI that launches an actor with the front panel shown an overridden core that displays a boolean button connected to an LED on the front panel - simples, but it doesn't work (see picture).
It's fine in development mode, but built into an executable the launcher VI runs, but fails to launch the Actor.
Here's what I've tried so far :-
Tried LabVIEW 2012 instead of 2013 - doesn't work.
Created a framework from the Alpha and Beta built in template - this builds and works without a hitch.
Tried calling launcher vi by reference - doesn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas why this isn't working, or anything massive that I've totally missed - as said I've done 2 or 3 projects now with Actor with no issues, so I really cannot understand why I should have a problem with this.
Appreciate any ideas for why this isn't working,

Thankyou both for your suggestions, luckily in the meantime I have sorted out the problem by going back to the Actor template and then changing values until I killed it.
The solution is as follows :-
When you call 'Launch Actor.vi' do not set 'Open Actor Core Front Panel? (F)' to true.
In your overriden Actor Core.vi, go into properties and in Window Appearance customize by setting 'Show front panel when called' and 'Close afterwards if originally closed'.

  • Actor Framework executable creation problem

    I am created an application using actor framework and trying to build an executable using Application Builder. I just take Launcher as a startup vi for creating executable. 
    But after run the executable file the launcher imidiately closed. Nothing will happen after that.
    Can anyone please help me on that matter.

  • [SOLVED] C Compiler Cannot Create Executables

    I am aware that there is already a thread on this here however it failed to solve my issue. I have installed the multilib-devel packages as the referenced post suggested, but I still receive the following error message when attempting to compile wine-mono package either with makepkg or with yaourt.

    Nope I didn't enable [testing]; I've discovered some packages in [multilib], namely gcc-multilib or something similar(with the -multilib subfix) and some of these packages belong to the group "multilib-devel". Is installing these packages a must for compiling 32-bit packages?

    At this point I've exhausted my options and I am not sure what to try next, other than starting from scratch and reloading the entire OS.

    Phew!  That was harrowing.
    Found this, and it solved the problem.  Refreshingly, it was written in English and done well at that!

    Follow all the instructions.  The main missing ingredient for me was downloading the developer tools for the command line from Apple.  I had to register there, but it was free. These tools seemed to install the compiler where it was needed.  You might need a github something or other, I don't know.  I think I downloaded it as some point.  Anyway, I did everything this author told me, and now I have my first rails app!  Good luck - Joel

  • Any way to create Execute Queues or set Load Order using ANT?

    Hello All,
    Does anyone know whether wlconfig or some other Ant tasks can be used
    in order to automate the creation of specific Execute Queues? We'd like
    to script and package this so as to avoid having the user configure
    queues through the admin console.
    I'd also like to find out if there is some way to set the application
    Load Order through wlconfig or wldeploy.
    I have looked at the WebLogic command reference here: http://e-
    docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/admin_ref/ant_tasks.html but don't see anything
    promising.
    Am I missing something? I'm not too familiar with all the scripting
    possibilities so any help would be much appreciated. We are using
    WebLogic Server 8.1 SP3 on Windows and UNIX.

    wine needs a 32bit environment to run/get compiled or a multilib x86_64 system. watch the gcc -m32 call - so no way without touching the pure 64bit philosophy behind arch64!

    I am a newbie in the forums, i recently installed arch x86_64 and am having a hard time building packages, i did install base-devel , gcc gcc-fortran gcc-obc..........all that stuff i also installed all the base devel stuff...like fakeroot,flex....(all the base devel stuff) but not luck, when i try 'makepkg -s' it still brings this error ---> " configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables" or sometimes --> configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables , i googled a bit on possible solutions, i came acroos similar post but the newbie was not using x86_64, i tried reinstalling GCC but to no avail whats the problem?

  • [solved] Cannot compile conky-cli (compiler cannot create executables)

    I'm having what seems to be a pretty common problem, but I cannot solve it. I've searched google and the forums, and I'm sure the answer is very easy, but I'm just stuck.

    If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great
    Solved my own problem! Looks like it was a change I made to my makepkg.conf.... Does anyone have a CFLAGS that's safe for an i7?

    Do you (or someone else) have a pkgbuild that you would like to share? I'm in need of the ecj compiler, but didn't find a pkgbuild in aur (unlessed I missed it somehow)

    I dont understand, I compiled many package in the past an now look like GCC is broken somewhere. I tried to reinstall base-devel and pacman to get a new makepkg.conf and the error is still there.

    I tryed to build this one with yaourt -Sb but the same happen when I try to copy the content of the ABS tree in a folder and use makepkg instead.

    This server doesn't have access to internet so blastwave isn't an option i think.

    I'm stumped. This is Mac OS 10.6.5 Snow Leopard; 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo; 4 G RAM.
    gcc2.95.2.pkg installed.
    X11SDK.pkg installed
    This all began when I moved to to MacBook from my old iBook.

    The Snow Leopard install CD has a sub-directory "Optional Installs" which holds a package "Xcode.mpkg". Installing Xcode.mpkg fixed my problem. My compiler is running fine now.

    ctags comes Mountain Lion. If you wish to download and install a newer version, it compiles perfectly. I don't know what problem the original poster had. If you are having specific problems, I suggest you post exactly what problems you are having in your own thread in the Developer Forums.

  • Error: C compiler cannot create executables [SOLVED!!!]

    hi,
    i am trying to make an evolution package that includes support for a palm pilot. i got the PKGBUILD file from somebody else and copied it to a directory. In that directory I then executed
    makepkg
    and tried to compile it. It goes pretty smooth until it complains about the following thing:
    error: C compiler cannot create executables
    i dont really know how to solve that problem and any help would be appriciated.

    Try the basics...
    Create a file with the following text:
    #include <stdio.h>
    int main() {
    printf("Hello world");
    return 0;
    Save the file has hello.c and compile it with
    gcc -Wall hello.c -o hello
    and see if you get any errors... you might be having issues with packages like glibc or gcc that would maybe need to be reinstalled
    Normally, if it claims that gcc can't create exec's, you should see an error before that warning that would tell you what the problem is
