I too discovered the grayed out wifi after my update to 7.1 on my 4S, however I did a search myself. On a Canadian website they recommended the following:

I did this and then the following:
After taking it out of the refrigerator I then put it in "Airplane" mode, then did a hard shut down by pushing the off button and home button simultaneously, waiting until the apple logo reappears. Then my wifi showed up, I moved the button to wifi and then turned off "Airplane" mode. This worked for me after weeks of not having wifi.
I hope this helps someone else who is just as frustrated as I was. -

First turn off all caps it's considered rude and as if your shouting.
try a reset, no data loss. hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait until your phone boots back up.
then check voice memo again. -
Will I need to purchase iWork for my iPad if I purchase an iPhone 5s? Everybody knows the iPhone 5s with IOS7 gives iWork for free. I assume that if I buy an iPhone 5s (or 5c) then iWork would be listed as a "purchased" app in my itunes store under my account. My iPad retina is in the same account... or are keynote, pages, and numbers completely seperate between ipad and iphone? I know they would be a seperate purchase for my Powerbook. When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, the problem arises whenever I unlock the phone, it automatically redials the last failed call, it doesn't do this with missed calls that are on the locked screen, if any. It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution
I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS7. I had an old iCloud account on it that I have closed. How do i delete the account on the iPhone and update it to my new account?
I keep having this problem too, no one seems to know how to fix it. Can't delete the account without turning off the 'find my iphone' app. Cant' turn it off without the ID....it's a vicious cycle.

How can I change my Apple ID for iCloud on iPhone 5 with iOS7? When I updated to iOS7 it kept my old ID on some features and my new one on others. I was able to change my Apple ID on all apps except iCloud. I don't have the original email account I used when setting up my iPhone with the old Apple ID and I have no clue what the password was. It appears I first need to turn off "Find my iPhone" which requires the old Apple ID, then I can delete the iCloud account. I want to use my current Apple ID to be able to use the "Find my iPhone" feature in iOS7. I hope someone can help!!

You never mentioned that you didn't have access to that email. There are some specific steps you can perform to retrieve the old Apple ID password. -
Updated my iPhone 5 to ios7, in the App store after installing updates I now have a never ending list of the Apps I've updated. How do I get rid of the list after they've been updated? In the previous version I did not have an annoying permanent list.
iOS 7 allows you to have your apps update automatically. Therefore, the list of what has been updated stays so that you can see what was updated, when and what the release notes say. It has been suggested that they list has a limit, much like Recents. Currently, there is no way for the user to delete the entries manually. Just try not to look at them.

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS7, I lost all my app icons. Where did they go? Interestingly they are still listed in notifications and I could play words with friends when I got a message on the home screen that it was my turn (but still no icon)

After I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7 I can no longer see the individual chapters when playing my audio books. Also I can no longer edit a and copy multiple text messages like before. Is there a way to do these things I am missing?
Not only can i not see the individual chaptes -- apparently like you and everyone else suffering through the "improved" iOS7 -- when my audiobook repeats a "file" within chapter, which it sometimes does, I cannot get "inside" the chapter and move forward to where I'm supposed to be.
