Actuals in Plan Version 0

Can someone explain to me what SAP means by 'actuals' in plan version 0?  Is this supposed to mean that the actual postings to a cost center (for example) are copied into this version?  This would mean that after a month is closed, the actuals would equal plan?
Thanks in advance

Plan and actual transactions are stored in a single table. For planning, version is one of the essential characteristics, against which the plan values are stored. Though this version does not mean much to actuals, SAP has made it to default to version '0', you can choose any other version also to record actuals against that version. But only one version can be chosen to record the actuals.
Once you have set in the customizing which version shall be activated for the actuals, you never visit that again. It matters only when a report is being developed where you have to call the plan version and enter 0 against that for pulling actuals.
Actual do not become plan because a version is being asked by the system.

  • Actual and Plan Versions annual view - Multiple versions per company code

    Good Day,
Iu2019m creating an FI-CO query with an annual view of both Actuals and Plan Values, which uses period and version as input values. The dilemma is around the plan versions which are hardcoded per company codes (eg. 1 Company Code = versions 501 u2013 512)
Can anyone suggest a possible solutions as normally there is only one version used for planning but in this instance there are multiple versions per Company Code.
Currently the report is hardcoded for one Company Code and going forward it should cater for more than one(Company Company* 12 Version)
    Kind Regards

Remove restriction on comp code. There could be 2 models.
    1. Include comp code, value type and version in the rows. This way you get multiple records for a comp code. One record for actual data and one record each for plan versions. To have this model at the query, the data model in the cube also should be in this way (what we call as the account model), multiple records differentiated into actual/plan by valuetype and different versions by version.
    2. Include comp code in rows. Create selections, one for actuals (restrict with key fig and value type 10, actuals), one for each plan versions (restrict key fig with value type 20, version 501. Create one selection for each version this way). This way we have one record per comp code with diff key fig for actual and plan versions. We call this as key fig model. To have this model at the query, the data model in the cube could be account model or key fig model. If it is key fig model then no need of selections. The key fig could be taken directly from the cube.

  • Actual and Plan Versions

    Hi,
I was wondering if someone could give me a general overview of actual and plan versions.
    Points will be awarded generously.
    Thanks,
    Deki

    Versions are nothing but scenarios.
There can be only one Actual, so only one version is available for Actual i.e 0
But the comapny can have different plans on the basis of various business scenarios for example, if they acheive 80% capacity utilisation or achieve break even etc for flexible reporting. This will help easy comparison at the period end.
Hope you are now clear about the versions.
    Thanks
    Siva

  • Copy the Actuals in Plan version with Incremental Factor

    Hi
We have a requirement wherein we want to copy the Actual Figures add the incremental percentage of 3% & then copy to Plan version in Cost Center Planning
Is there any standard fuctionality which help me do this transaction
    Regards
    Ash k

I haven't tried but think there's this is standard way using revaluation.
Use T Code KSPU and choose menu Extras>Revaluation>Create. Mention the CE's, period and percentage.
In the initial screen select this revaluation, copied over plan values version and execute.

But facing error "you have not selected a traget project"

    Hello Mayur,
    Please try with KP97/KP98 transactions.
I suspect, that you are giving wrong target plan version.
Please check your entries once again.

  • KP98 - Actual Prices do Not copy to plan version

    Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to do a KP98, so that I can have a copy of  my actuals in my plan version. The transaction works fine in copying everything I selected, however when I check my activity prices using for example Tcode KSBT, it does not show me me any prices for my activities.
In other words my activity quantities are successfully copied into my plan version, but NOT the prices.
In version '000' prices exist, but not in my plan versio '100'. Any ideas?
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks.
Edited by: Ehab Mansour on Jun 23, 2009 10:22 AM

    Hi Ramesh,
So if I understand you correctly:
Even after setting the "Price" and "Activity Qty" flag in KP98, it doesn't actually copy the price from version 000 to my plan version 100. I still have to run KSPI to get my price posted in my version 100?
If that's what I understand correctly............... then what's the benefit of setting the "Price" flag in KP98? That's what I'm trying to understand.
Of course if I change my planned values then I have to run KSPI again to calculate the new price.
But if I just do a KP98, WITHOUT making any changes to my planning in version 100, should KP98 just copy the prices from my actuals, and I would only need to run KSPI again only if I make changes to my planning dollars?

  • Activity prices in KP26 used for actual and plan in version 0

We plan activity prices via KP26 in version 0. We then plan activity consumption via KP06, and run the plan reconciliation via KPSI.
During the year, we need to update the activity prices used in actual activity allocation. This price also comes from version 0.
When we change the activity price, the planned amounts change also. We are looking for a way to maintain a separate price for actual activity allocation.

    Ajay,
Your answer definitely sent me down the right path...thank you!
For other's benefit, these are the steps I took to make this work:
    1) set the "Purely Iter. Price" indicator in plan version 0
    2) import planning layout 1-N01 from client 000 (OBKF)
    3) add planning area "Cctr: Manual actual prices" to planning layout SAPALL (KP34)
    4) add planning layout 1-N01 to planner profile SAPALL (KP34)
    5) create and run custom program from note 551309 to add cost element field to the input screen in KBK6 (SE38)
    6) transport planning layout for planning area "Cctr: Manual actual prices" (OKEX)
Now we can plan a price in KP26, and maintain a different price in KBK6 which is used in the actual activity allocation.
    Thanks again,
    Linda

  • Copy actual data to plan version

    Dears,
I have a requirement wherein business has maintained plan data for balance sheet GLs in GP12N for version 1 for 6 months. Now the requirement is to copy actual data of first 6 months to next 6 months in version 2 (forecast) and start comparing actual/plan/forecast. I tried copying in FAGLGP52N, but it allows only from plan version to another plan version.
Please suggest if there is a way to copy actual data to plan version.
I have another requirement to display plan version data of cost element (PL) which we maintain in KP06/7KE1 in F.01.
    Thanks,
    Lokesh

Try to use Plan version (000) where the Actual values are posted in this version.
    Cheers,
    Sarhan.

    - when I check for the errors system tells me that "Plan version is not supported, diagnosis : Plan version "0" has not been created in operating concern "1000", Procedure: Transfer version "0" to operating concern "1000" and maintain the attrributes for that version"
    - my concern is that when I check in customizing Planning, Initial Step: display view settings in operating concern details the version "0" is existingin the operati,ng concern "1000"
So do you have a solution for this issue?

  • Easy Cost Planning version 0 cannot be used in DP81

    Dear SAP Expert,
    Please advice.
We have requirement to do sales pricing in DP81 with project and inquiry.
Some steps that we are doing :
    1. Create Inquiry : VA11
    2. Create Project : CJ20n
    3. Create cost planning with network activity in CJ20n and use Planning cost version 1. ( We are trying to use more than 1 version, not only version 0)
    4. Run DP81. It shows error message no expenditure.
In the config ODP1 ( DIP Profile) , version has been activated.
Is there any solution to use ECP with version more than version 0?
    Appreciate for the advice.
    Thank you.
    Nies

    Hi Sanjeev,
Sales Pricing (DP81) can read ECP with standard version 0. The issue is that DP81 cannot read version other then 0.
I need to do planning cost using version other than version 0 ( Actual/Planning version)
    Thank you for your advice.

  • Plan Version - FI/CO

    Hi,
I am relatively new to FI/CO. I have some queries with regards to version.
    1) What is the significance of version? Are version and Plan version synonymous
    2) With respect to plan cost there is something called plan version.Does actual cost have something similar? Does budget have something similar?
    3) If the answer to Q.2 is 'NO', then does make sense to use 'plan version' to actual costs/budget. Does SAP provide this logic.
Could someone provide me some link/documentation regarding the above mentioned issues.Mail them to [email protected]
    Regards,
    Roshith

Actual version is zero. The plan version is mapped to
actual in config. there is only one actual version. You can have many plan versions. This allows companies to be flexible to change the plans as needed. Your reports can then be set up to run against the plan version you designate. Version 1 maybe set up a the start of the year. Version 2 could be set up later based on new information. Here's some documentation on version in the IMG for FI.
    POINTS ASSIGNED are appreciated
The same concept holds true in CO but the plans are entered independently.
    Define Plan Versions
You can define plan versions in this activity. You have the option of posting planning data from each fiscal year to an unlimited number of versions.
    Example
You can define several versions of your annual budget plan and base each version on different conditions. You can also create several versions for your financial reports, whereby each report is based on different sales revenue.
    Activities
    1. To create a new plan version, choose New entries. You can also change an existing plan version.
    2. Enter 0 in the column Ld (Ledger). This is the general ledger, and is the only ledger in G/L Accounting where planning can be undertaken.
    3. Enter the key for your new version in the Ver column.
    4. Specify how the planning data is to be posted:
    a) If you want to plan data manually for the specified combination of ledger and version, select Man. plan.
    b) If you want to transfer the data from the Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM) or Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) component for the specified combination of ledger and version, select Plan Integ.
    5. Enter a name for the plan version.
    6. Save your plan version.

  • Setting plan version as default

    Dear Expert,
How to setting 'plan version', for example: plan version 1 as default in tcode :
    s_alr_87013613 (Plan/Actual comparison)?
What is the effect to others reports then?
    Thanks in advance.

The variable that is used in this report is 1VERP. You can changed this via GS12 to enter the whatever plan version to default under the default value. For your information, the report group 1AIP is run when you run the t-code S_ALRr_87013613, which inturn runs the report 1AIP-001 that incorporate the variable 1VERP under the plan data for version selection.
But this may not be the best practise, because you will be changing the SAP standard, which will be overwritten when you upload support packages or do an upgrade. Better you copy this report and use your own version variable, by copying the 1VERP.

  • COPA plan version

Currently, only version 0 is used for actuals and plan.  Again this year we have used version 0 for cost center planning, profit center planning and also COPA planning.  The user community would like to create a new version for COPA planning only to upload new data.  Can I have a different plan version # for COPA only for this year?  If so, how do I do that?  Does it impact the other areas of planning?
    Thanks for your help!

    Did you checked infoobject 0version??

  • Plan versions

    Hi ,
I have an issue in creating plan versions.
When I create new plan version and go to activate it then I get a message "If you change the active plan version, you must ensure that all of the objects from the Customizing plan version '.:' are activated in the active plan version.
To do this, start report RHWFACTI "
Can any body throw light on what this message mean please.
And when I go to create new org unit then the plan version which I created should come automatically but its not coming. What may be the problem?
    Any help would be fine.
    Thanks in advance,
    Shanti geera

    Hi Kapil,
I tried to create plan version and when I go to save it then again  I am getting the old message
" when the active plan version is changed PD objects should be activated"
and then when I  activate the plan version in table T77SO along  with PLOGI PLOGI  and when I go to create org units in t code PO10  screen then my plan version which I have activated is not appearing automatically, I need to change it manually.
Actually when we create and activate our plan versions the screen of maintain plan version i.e, OOPV should have tick mark in both active and current boxes for our present PV. But only active box is ticked but not current box.
    Why is this happening?
I even checked in table V_T77SOSC there PLOGI PLOGI CURRENT PLAN which I activated is appearing,
but in tcode OOPV my plan version is marked as active but not marked as current. Where as it should be marked as ticked in active and current boxes right.
I think you are getting what I have wriiten..
    What may be wrong?
Can you just check this and tell me what is the mistake I am doing here please
    Regards,
    Shanti

    Hi
    welcome to SDN!!
You should have 2 versions 1st of all, which you already have
In the Step COPY, you should have give version 0 as the reference and also the reference record type, reference period as the parameters
Then when you execute this step, it should get copied or give you error message if unsuccessful
