Actvity in bound e mail management

Dear Gurus,
May you please explain about the email Inbox in SAP CRM, once we click 'transfer to crm' the email from outlook will open in CRM as a business activity and i maintain the account and contactperson then save and close. My question is the content of the email was not stored in the BP master, how we can save the content of the email in bp master?
Please clarify my doubts?
Thanks
K

Dear Robert,
Thanks for the info, i need to link it to Lead/Oppt what customizing do i need to do? when i open the e mail in Crm, it has to assign to BP and it will save under Interaction History assignment block not Lead/oppt?
Please give some info
Thanks,
K

  • ICM - Remove E-mail Manager & ECC Variables

How do I uninstall / remove the e-mail manager and associated ECC Variables?  My initial thought was this must be an option in icmsetup but after a little poking around I can't find any options that jump out at me.
The ECC Variables for e-mail manager are:
    cisco.cem.Category
    cisco.cem.Priority
    cisco.cem.MessageKey
My primary motivation for getting rid of them (Other than good housekeeping) is that they are consuming 450 bytes of ECC space.
    Thanks!

Looks like I stand corrected, the 'Enabled' parameter does indeed remove the variables from the Total Byte calculation.
I threw together some SQL to calculate ECC Byte usage if anyone else is interested:
    select sum(bytes) as Bytes_Consumed from
    (select sum(len(EnterpriseName)+ MaximumLength + 4) as bytes from Expanded_Call_Variable
    where ECCArray = 'N' and Enabled = 'Y'
    UNION all
    select sum(MaximumArraySize *(len(EnterpriseName) + MaximumLength +5)) as bytes from Expanded_Call_Variable
where ECCArray = 'Y' and Enabled = 'Y') as MyTable

  • E-mail Manager Option for UCCE

am looking at implementing E-mail, Fax & SMS channels to UCCE (ie IPCC Enterprise. I currently have Voice Recognition (Nuance) and IP IVR. I'm not sure if the Cisco E-mail Manager Option is the best solution when I still need to cater for Fax & SMS. Any suggestions?

If you implement the Cisco E-Mail Manager option, you can easily integrate FAX into it using the T.37 On Ramp feature available in IOS.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk777/technologies_tech_note09186a00801fe5d9.shtml
T.37 On Ramp will convert a FAX into an email, sending it to the mailbox used by E-Mail Manager to process incoming mail.

    Hi all,
This isn't really a DW specific question, but I figured all

I thought I would outsmart them by creating rules (phone
number formatting, etc.) that would stop this, but they keep coming
through, regardless of the formatting rules.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this stuff from happening?
It’s a real pain! What do other folks do to stop this kind of
    stuff?
    Thanks for any help.
    Mark Nadell

The script is using these rules in the form:
    # MAIN SETTINGS
    $Require = "firstname,lastname,email,phone-home";
    $Format =
    "lastnameA,email@,phone-home#,phone-work#,phone-cell#";
And this is the code from the mmex file itself concerning
    phone formatting:
    if ($Format == "#" and $_POST[$Field]) // PHONE NUMBER FORMAT
    if (!eregi('([0-9]{3})-([0-9]{3})-([0-9]{4})',
    $_POST[$Field]) and !eregi('([0-9]{3})\.([0-9]{3})\.([0-9]{4})',
    $_POST[$Field]) and !eregi('([0-9]{3}) ([0-9]{3}) ([0-9]{4})',
    $_POST[$Field]) and !eregi('(\([0-9]{3}\))-([0-9]{3})-([0-9]{4})',
    $_POST[$Field]) and
    !eregi('(\([0-9]{3}\))\.([0-9]{3})\.([0-9]{4})', $_POST[$Field])
    and !eregi('(\([0-9]{3}\)) ([0-9]{3}) ([0-9]{4})', $_POST[$Field])
    and !eregi('(\([0-9]{3}\)) ([0-9]{3})-([0-9]{4})', $_POST[$Field])
    and !eregi('(\([0-9]{3}\)) ([0-9]{3})\.([0-9]{4})',
    $_POST[$Field]))
    $Field = str_replace("_"," ",$Field);
    $Field = ucfirst($Field);
    $IncorrectFields .=
    "<li><b>$Field</b> requires the proper
    phone format.</li>";
    if ($Preview == "1")
    $RedFields .= "$Field,";
But somehow, the formbots, as you call them, don't seem
affected by that code, as I get information in the phone number
    field as web addresses.

  • I am planning to buy iphone 5 but confused on its mail management. Where can i get more information on it? I am currently a blackberry user.

I am not sure how iphone would handle the mail traffic. I understand that once you open the outlook, all mails goes out of your hand phone. My worry is then how to refer the past mails while not in front of the machine and outlook? I am currently using Blackberry which is excellent on mail management and hence this worry before I make a switch.

    Read the User's Guide.
If you actually set up the email account instead of simply syncing via Outlook on the computer then your concerns listed above are irrelevant.

    Hello,
I'll try to explain my problem (not that you did not understand, but my explanations may be long and difficult).
I'm Lion 10.7.3 on iMac and I use Mail as my mail manager.
My ISP (access , mails) is "VOO".
At mail I am often "over quota" because the server VOO grants only 40M. I would like to address this problem. I contacted VOO but they tell me not to know and do not appear to increase capacity at the moment.
    My idea was:
    - All messages received at the server VOO would be automatically transferred to another address (eg ................. @me.com, my address icloud) whose capacity is much greater.
    - But the problem is that nothing is planned at the server level VOO to perform this maneuver!
    - Therefore, I turn to you to ask yourself the question, one of you has it you an idea, a suggestion, a solution?
    Any suggestion is welcome.
Thank you in advance for taking the trouble to read and possibly to follow up my request.
How do I ask to go and read icloud (permanently) my mail to another address, that of my server?
    Philippe (philippe.thiriet @ me.com)

Thank you for your reply and the clarification it brings me.
Voo is imap of course and does not provide the possibility of forwarder mails to another address.
Since I use MAIL and I receive messages without any problems sent to me on my address icloud (............... @me.com) I think to ask all in my address book to send me on my address on icloud. Is it a good idea?
Could you tell me how much space I have in icloud? 40M is the highest in VOO.
Thank you for your help and for the time you devote to my problem.
    Philippe

  • Group Mail Management on Wiki

We have a Wiki setup for one of our groups. It so happens this is also a mail group and we have enabled mail on the Wiki/Blog page. Mail that comes in for the group (for example: "[email protected]") gets posted on the mail for the Wiki.
This is actually convenient. The problem we are having is that occasionally Junk Mail appears on the Wiki (as it is coming for the group mail address) and I would like to clean it out.
I can see where all of the mail is being stored (under a directory named xxxxxxxxxx.page under the group folder).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the most efficient method of managing this?
I have tried deleting the directories with the mail messages, but it still shows up on the sidebar of the Wiki - which tells me it is being posted to some DB elsewhere, I just can't see an convenient way of cleaning these out occasionally.
Of course, i could be missing something glaring me in the face.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Restart Teams after deleting the folder.
    sudo serveradmin stop teams; sudo serveradmin start teams;

  • Advanced mail management

I'm looking for a way to better manage my email. I currently send out a ridiculous amount of email in the form of newsletters. People respond to me.. I respond back, etc etc. It all goes down into my mail program and is sorted by threads. BUT since all the subjects are the same it shows up under the same thread.
Is there a server based solution I can use with OS X to separate out the threads and maybe throw on some autoresponders while I'm at it? or is there a way to break down the threads in the mail program better?
    Thanks.
    Dan

    No ideas?
I was looking at mail loop from marketingtips.com - http://www.marketingtips.com/mailloop/ - but it's expensive and I've been disappointed by the last two software packages from that group.

  • Shared Mailbox Mail Management

    Hi,
I have a shared mailbox which is accessed by about 10 members via outlook (shared mailbox has not been setup as account).
When a user (supervisor of the team) moves the mails from Inbox to other share mailbox (method: drag & drop), the mails move perfectly fine, but the other user still see those emails in the inbox.
This happens only for one particular shared mailbox.
I tried restarting the transport service, restart of server, using outlook switch cleanfreebusy but no luck.
Mailbox is hosted on Exchange 2010
    Thanks,

    Hi Ankush,
Did you try creating new outlook profile for the supervisor and one of the team member and see how it goes for a team member?

  • Mail Management I Mac and IPod Touch - Deleting

I have a problem with messages deleted from the Mail program on I Mac that continue to appear as new messages in the inbox of the IPod. Apple Help said that the messages deleted in Mail would be deleted from the server in 30 minutes - but that doesn't happen. How can I avoid getting all messages going into both the I Mac Mail and IPod Mail? I tried syncing without success.

I'm just posting this as I did for all these threads for the same issue:
Ok I think this problem here is Apple... It's a DNS problem. You get this problem depending on what smtp server you are registered on.
I always get the message that "p06-smtp.mail.me.com" failed...
But according to the nslookup command there are only the servers "p01, p02, p03, p04"... no p05 and p06 or p07 and p08 ...
What I did to get it to work (only considered as workaround):
first I tried to add a second SMTP server with the address "smtp.mail.me.com", it seemed that the mail went through... but never arrived... then I configured "p01-smtp.mail.me.com" as second server and it worked!!
What is the problem with this workaround?
When you change the password! As it doesn't accept the Apple Token you must configure your Apple ID credentials manually... however when you change them, you have also to change the manually configured second SMTP server!

  • Mail Management:

    Hello everyone,
I'm on quest to bring some order to email chaos and simplify life. I have about 9 very active email accounts (these are the essential accounts). I created a single IMAP account and have the 9 address forward all messages to the single IMAP; the 9 accounts are offline. So far so good...
Now what I'd like to do is to completely remove the 9 accounts from Mail, so you are only seeing information from the IMAP account (less visual clutter in Mail etc). Problem is that by removing accounts, you also loose the capability to 'send from' (meaning that I would no longer be able to choose which account to send the message from."
Anyone have some work arounds or other ideas?
    -pr
Side effect: Sometimes when opening mail, ALL accounts go online automatically... resulting in sometimes in 100's of duplicates peppered throughout Mail.

In Mail > Preferences > Accounts, in your main IMAP account, add each additional email address to the "Email Address" field, separated by commas. Then when you send an email, you can choose which to send from.
The only issue I see with this is authentication errors when attempting to send mail out that is not given the proper permission by your outgoing server. A solution would be to use your ISPs SMTP server, which normally does not require authentication.

  • HT201436 voice mail management is really bad with the newer version of software for my iPhone5  my old version deleted VMs instantly but now my phone freezes up and at times the delete button does not work until i set the phone aside for up to a minute.

I am having a hard time deleting unwanted voice messages with my new phone and software as compare to my iphone4 which was as easy as clicking on the delete button.  VMs would delete instantly.  with my iPhone 5 7.0.4 software ver the first one or two delete immediately then the phone freezes up for several seconds making the process frustrating.  I am wondering if either I am doing something wrong or if there is a fix out there.  its a giant step backwards for Apple.

  • Mail.app is 20GB full of email - How to manage?

    Hi,
I'm working with a client who has 20GB + of data in Mail.app. It has already exploded on her iMac and I'm concerned the same will happen on her PowerBook soon if we don't come up with better mail management strategies. I've moved most of the mail out of the In Box and she has maybe 50-60 (On My Mac) folders with all of her clients spilled out alphabetically on the folders.
Is there a protocol anyone would recommend?
In addtion to this, she's trying to sync this account on at least 3 macs using a dotmac IMAP set-up. Not true "sync" but use the IMAP mac.com mailbox to view the same mail on all three computers. I'm worried that Rules that would move messages out of the IN BOX into a folder on one computer, would make them unavailable on the other two.
Any thoughts or strategies on this?
    Very much obliged,
    Mick

    > Don't see that one on my screen
so I assumed you'd uploaded it.
Well, it’s definitely there. Don’t know why you don’t
see it, but it’s available for everybody, just like
    the other avatars.
Well, I'll be. You're right. Don't know why I missed it. Sorry for the goose chase.
    > And an "individual mailbox" is
the same as a folder that one might
    create "On My Mac?"
Custom mailboxes appear as generic blue folders in
    the mailbox list, yes.
These are the ones that she has 20GB stored in.
    There is another kind of
folder (white) that’s meant to be used only as a
    parent folder for other folders:
    Blue and white Mail folders
    explained
Yeah, I get the difference. There's a big "Import" folder that is grey/white when we import her data from the exploded program.
    > There was definitely file system
    corruption AND there was something
rather drastic that happened to Mail.app.
Well, if there was some filesystem corruption, it
should be no surprise that an application managing 20
GB of data would be particularly affected and that
recovering that would be particularly painful...
    Yup.
    > Are those listed anywhere? For
those of us who don't prowl the forums all day,
sometimes these are hard to find without a friendly
    link now and then. <g>
Have you tried searching? The forums search function
is there precisely for those of you who don’t prowl
    the forums all day...
Generally speaking, I can often find stuff I'm looking for here. When I post that I have not, I have not. When I post in general, it means I have not found what I'm looking for and have to ask. Time is often a factor. If I had an hour to look each time, I'm sure I'd find it. I often have 15-20 minutes and when I don't... well, you get the drift.

    > So what would happen if an
individual mailbox had 3GB of data in it?
    Overstuffed mailbox is unexpectedly empty
    > perhaps you've read something I
haven't, but it sure looks like it does to
    me.
Yeah, I read that ages ago and still lost data with mailboxes that would not recover or rebuild. Thanks for the note, but there's still something that's not being said in that note. I wish I understood how messages could be so completely lost when they used to be there. I wonder if it's the Mbox format or what. In Eudora Pro, this would never happen, ever. Probably because everything was text based.
I miss Eudora but it just wouldn't handle modern, html email very well. I got tired of looking at junk that Mail.app would usually display perfectly. However, nothing can beat the level at which Eudora could manage large amounts of mail with filters, boiler plates and hundreds of customizable settings. I really look forward to a time when Apple opens up Mail.app to users who need and want more custom solutions.
If you’ve read somewhere that .Mac can synchronize
mail stored locally, then it’s you who has
read something I haven’t and that Apple doesn’t say
    anywhere...
    > What does "Mail accounts" sync
    if not that?
    Account settings.
Well, then you know more than me. I haven't had time to read up on that and it seemed like it was aimed at syncing the entire account, not just settings.
    > IMAP is not the only way to do
    so.
    Sure it is.
I'm not attempting a debate here, just mentioning there are third party sync utilities that one can use if they want to. I have not found them terribly effective yet.
    > There are other programs and
    solutions
Such as? May I suggest searching in this forum for
that as well before you do something you might
    regret?
It's all about time. Not knowing if there really IS a reliable answer out there, I simply do not have time to search the forums endlessly in search of an anonymous answer from someone who may or may not be "knowledgeable."
But, I wouldn't try anything with a client's data without it being fully backed up and tested. No worries there.
    > The server would have to be web
    based because the computers are
not always in the same building.
I have no idea what server are you talking about here
nor why do you tell me this in reply to me saying
that I don’t see why the two computers being in
different rooms would be a problem...
    > we may be looking at other
solutions too since there's a desire for FileMaker
    and others.
I don’t understand this either. What does FileMaker
have to do with synchronizing mail between computers?
I think that perhaps this discussion may have grown without me stating clearly that it was growing. We're talking about more than just email syncing in regards to this particular client. And we have computers that are sometimes in the same building and sometimes not. It's very complex by today's standard in technology. I'm sure it will be something very simple in a few years.
The email is easy enough to sync with IMAP solutions, it's just about how to direct a client to understand what IMAP is all about. The rest of the data, Word docs, FMP databases, and so forth is more challenging.
David, thanks for your input on this.

  • Managed Mail Preferences & message caching

I'm using the managed preferences for mail in my OD network. (10.5.7 server & clients)
But as the mailboxes grow, i would like to manage the caching of e-mail so that only the bodies and not the attachments are not cached to the users home folder.
The preference used is 'com.apple.mail.managed', when manually adding the preferences of my Mail.app to workgroup manager it adds a preference 'com.apple.mail'. Extracting the relevant keys from that preference and putting them in the com.apple.mail.managed preference dit not work because the order and naming of the keys in both preferences do not match.
Anyone got an idea on how to manage caching policy of mails via workgroup manager?
(and while we are on it, also enabling ssl for the managed imap account)

    Nevermind,
I just read some blogpost saying one of the enhancements in Snow Leopard Server is the more granular setup of e-mailaccounts in workgroup manager.
Looking forward to upgrade! (Only one server available, so i'm a little hesitant)
