    Agent is Running and Ready

You can check the status of deleted targets in setup -> Management Services and Repository -> deleted targets (click on the number)
In this screen check the status, make sure your targets have fully deleted before trying to re-add them.
You can also do a force remove.

  • Agent not showing up: restart services

Running 8.02 SU4.  We moved an agent into a new team, and they aren't showing up in that team.  I've double checked the config, logged in/out of Supervisor Desktop..still nothing.
I imagine we may need to restart some services. Does anyone know which service I should restart, and if that would affect logged in agents? I know some
Desktop Services can be restarted without agents knowing, but some kick agents out.
    Thanks

Please refer to the following defect, this was found in 8.0 and is supposed to be fixed in SU4
    CSCto59101
-Restart the cisco desktop synch service after the manual synch of directory services on both servers
Also make sure that the primary server is in Master status
Let me know if this does the trick

  • Manually Installed Agent is not showing up in the Operations Manager Console Under Pending Management.

    Hi Community,
I submitted this question because I'm a bit stuck with SCOM 2012 R2, I'll try to explain briefly what is happening right now in my environment,  we have a DEV SCOM Deployment in which all the roles are installed in a single server, this servers is a
VMware machine running Windows Server 2008R2.
The Initial installation of the SCOM Operations Manager and all the other components was not performed by me but by a co-worker, unfortunately he doesn't remember much about the initial configuration. So i had to pickup where he left things about a year
ago, neither of us are SCOM experts, and we have almost no previous experience with previous versions of this application.
Now the problem that I'm facing is the following, all the DEV Servers are Domain Controllers and one of the indication within the "Guide for System Center Management Pack for Active Directory for Operations Manager 2012" states the following
    Configuration
    Supported?
    Agent-less monitoring
    No
After my first review I notice that our servers were being monitor by agent-less mode and given the above statement from the Operations Guide the only way that we could ever get those domain controllers monitor by SCOM would be by installing the agent on
each server, so I read somewhere (Can't remember where) that in order to install the agents in all the servers I should first remove them from the Agent-less node, which I did. Then I tried to use the discovery wizard to get the agent install in all of them
but it didn't matter how many times I try the servers never show up.
I read in a Tech Net Article that you had to modify the security settings so SCOM would let me decide if I wanted to approve it or not.
    --> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212853.aspx
I performed the suggested steps from the article but still the servers were not showing up, not even if I run the Discovery wizard, so I decided to go and perform the installation manually in a couple of servers I was able to install the agent in one of
the Domain Controllers, I configured the agent to use a service account that has Domain Admin rights. An hour after I installed the agent I went back to the Operations Console Manager and I check under Pending Action but the Server was not showing up. So i
went back to the Internet to try to find out if someone else had experience the same problem, and in one website some mentioned that if the servers were not showing up it was probably because they were still register in the SCOM Database, now I have no idea
of how i can check that or How can i remove them from there to have them available again, but what troubles me the most is that even after i installed the agent manually the server were not being recognize.
I went to the Event Viewer and I found one particular event that caught my attention, see below :

    </Event>
Not sure if this is related to the problem that I'm facing right now, but , I make sure that the RPC Services were running and also the related dependencies too. There's no Firewall enable in any of the servers and DNS seems to be working properly.
Ports 135 / 5723 are open and listening so since I ran out of ideas, I would like to know if some of the experts in this field could perhaps give me some guidelines.
There's one caveat that I haven't mention yet and that is related to SQL, I checked and my user just has read access to SQL i'm not sure if that could affect this but i think is worth mentioning.
My main goal is to have all the servers showing up in the Operations Manager Console.
So thanks all in advance !
    Oscar Loria

So you can ping and nslookup from your ms to these agents and vice versa right?  I wouldn't do a manual install, I would push the agent from the management server.  You can uninstall the agent manually, or use cleanmom to get rid of them.  Then
do an install from the console.  When you initiate the install from the console (management server), should it run into any issues it will dump out an error which will give you an idea of where the problem may be.
    From Holmans post on this:
e MOM Server could not execute WMI Query "Select * from Win32_OperatingSystem" on

    1.  Ensure agent push account has local admin rights
    2.  Firewall is blocking NetBIOS access.  If Windows 2008 firewall is enabled, ensure “Remote Administration (RPC)” rule is enabled/allowed.  We need port 135 (RPC) and the DCOM port range opened for console push through a firewall.
    3.  Inspect WMI service, health, and rebuild repository if necessary
    4.  Firewall is blocking ICMP  (Live OneCare)

  • OEM 12c  Agent does not show down status.

Hi, I'm testing EM 12c. I added host target to oem and then kill agent process on host.
When open agent page (Setup-Agent-Testingagent) see error.
Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms).
But status agent and host show up in EM.
I try resync agent, But nothing has changed it.
    ./emctl status agent

    Agent is Not Running
Other target (hosts, agent) show status correctly.
    Thanks for help.

EM is showing Host is up makes sense. If I remember correct the OMS pings the host if the agent is down. This will succeed so the host will show up.
Why the agent is showing up does not make sense to me. The agent sends a signal every (default) 120 seconds. If no signal is received by the OMS the OMS sends a reverse ping to the agent. If this does not succeed the agent and its monitored targets should get the state “Agent Unreachable”.

  • RAR Organizational Rules not showing/working on RAR 5.3_13.3

    Hello Guys,
We are facing some problems during RAR Organizational Rules implementation. After creating our risk matrix (along with all functions) we start refining it with Org. Rules, accordingly to our company needs.
Unfortunatelly, after doing some tests, we found out that all created organizational rules are not working. They simply do not show on our reports (Risk Analysis > Organizational Level section). Any advice on that? I already went through the "How-To Guides" and a few SAP Notes (987031) without succeed.
As a business example, we have the need of certifying that a critical access (already mapped in a Critical Action Risk Type) is not a False Positive, checking also the organizational level for that specific activity (Company Code values) so, we are doing the following:
    1) In a given Auth. Obj, we are activating BUKRS field, with $BUKRS value;
    2) Created an Organization Rules.  (e.g Org. Rule Company01 with BUKRS = COMP, and tagged RISK ID RK01*)
    3) Re-generate/Update all risk rules
    4) Ran Organizational User Mapping Job
    5) Executed an Risk Analysis (Risk Analysis > Organizational Level section).
The results of report are the same as a regular risk analysis. No Organizational Rule were found in our result (in Org. Rule Description columm) but just all users with ANY risk.
Besides , the Org. Rule report ran the Risk analysis for ALL RISKS of our Matrix, not only for those mapped in our Org. Rule (RK01). Is this working properly? The organizational report should not only run a report for previously mapped risks ??? (in our business example, an report result with only users with Critical Access risk RK01 and with any Auth Obj with BUKRS Field value COMP!?)
Can anyone help us on the error above?
    Thank you,
    Best Regards,
    Adam

    Hi Natasha,
Reviewed the situation and suggest a work around. Just try whether the same is working or not.
As mentioned the roles are assigned to HR positions of the users and not to user ids. In that case in RAR under configuration tab go to 'user mappings' where you can map user id with the organisation position for the respective users in the particular system.
I suggest you can test it for one user and if works fine you can replicate for other users.
    regards,
    Jwalant

  • Lighttpd not showing graphics/layout. Any idea?

    Hi there!
I finally managed to get the whole lighttpd,php,sqlite,fast_cgi Thing going on the dockstar (archlinuxarm).
I wanted to use a Blogging software like "flatpress" or "chyrp" but I ran into some issue.
On both of these Sites (index.php from flatpress and chyrp) I do not have any graphics/style and layout. It shows only the Page with the basic text and links but no style/theme/graphics.
Does anyone know how to get the styles/graphics and layout working.
I have made a chmod -R 777 on those folders of chyrp and also flatpress but this does not change anything regardnig  the issue.

    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
; PHP's initialization file, generally called php.ini, is responsible for
; configuring many of the aspects of PHP's behavior.
; PHP attempts to find and load this configuration from a number of locations.
; The following is a summary of its search order:
; 1. SAPI module specific location.
; 2. The PHPRC environment variable. (As of PHP 5.2.0)
; 3. A number of predefined registry keys on Windows (As of PHP 5.2.0)
; 4. Current working directory (except CLI)
; 5. The web server's directory (for SAPI modules), or directory of PHP
    ; (otherwise in Windows)
; 6. The directory from the --with-config-file-path compile time option, or the
    ; Windows directory (C:\windows or C:\winnt)
; See the PHP docs for more specific information.
; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and lines
; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
; they might mean something in the future.
; Directives following the section heading [PATH=/www/mysite] only
; apply to PHP files in the /www/mysite directory. Directives
; following the section heading [HOST=www.example.com] only apply to
; PHP files served from www.example.com. Directives set in these
; special sections cannot be overridden by user-defined INI files or
; at runtime. Currently, [PATH=] and [HOST=] sections only work under
    ; CGI/FastCGI.
; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
; Directives are variables used to configure PHP or PHP extensions.
; There is no name validation. If PHP can't find an expected
; directive because it is not set or is mistyped, a default value will be used.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), a quoted string ("bar"), or a reference to a
; previously set variable or directive (e.g. ${foo})
; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; ^ bitwise XOR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
; sign, or by using the None keyword:
; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = None ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = "None" ; sets foo to the string 'None'
; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
; PHP comes packaged with two INI files. One that is recommended to be used
; in production environments and one that is recommended to be used in
    ; development environments.
; php.ini-production contains settings which hold security, performance and
; best practices at its core. But please be aware, these settings may break
; compatibility with older or less security conscience applications. We
; recommending using the production ini in production and testing environments.
; php.ini-development is very similar to its production variant, except it's
; much more verbose when it comes to errors. We recommending using the
; development version only in development environments as errors shown to
; application users can inadvertently leak otherwise secure information.
    ; Quick Reference ;
; The following are all the settings which are different in either the production
; or development versions of the INIs with respect to PHP's default behavior.
; Please see the actual settings later in the document for more details as to why
; we recommend these changes in PHP's behavior.

; Output buffering is a mechanism for controlling how much output data
; (excluding headers and cookies) PHP should keep internally before pushing that

; Turning on this setting and managing its maximum buffer size can yield some
; interesting side-effects depending on your application and web server.
; You may be able to send headers and cookies after you've already sent output
; through print or echo. You also may see performance benefits if your server is
; emitting less packets due to buffered output versus PHP streaming the output

; some common settings and their meanings.
; By default, PHP is set to take action on all errors, notices and warnings EXCEPT
; those related to E_NOTICE and E_STRICT, which together cover best practices and
; recommended coding standards in PHP. For performance reasons, this is the
; recommend error reporting setting. Your production server shouldn't be wasting

; Note: The php.ini-development file has this setting as E_ALL. This
; means it pretty much reports everything which is exactly what you want during
    ; development and early testing.
    ; Error Level Constants:
; E_ALL - All errors and warnings (includes E_STRICT as of PHP 5.4.0)
    ; E_ERROR - fatal run-time errors
    ; E_RECOVERABLE_ERROR - almost fatal run-time errors
    ; E_WARNING - run-time warnings (non-fatal errors)
    ; E_PARSE - compile-time parse errors
; E_NOTICE - run-time notices (these are warnings which often result
; from a bug in your code, but it's possible that it was
; intentional (e.g., using an uninitialized variable and
; relying on the fact it's automatically initialized to an
    ; empty string)
; E_STRICT - run-time notices, enable to have PHP suggest changes
; to your code which will ensure the best interoperability
; and forward compatibility of your code
; E_CORE_ERROR - fatal errors that occur during PHP's initial startup
    ; E_CORE_WARNING - warnings (non-fatal errors) that occur during PHP's
    ; initial startup
    ; E_COMPILE_ERROR - fatal compile-time errors
    ; E_COMPILE_WARNING - compile-time warnings (non-fatal errors)
    ; E_USER_ERROR - user-generated error message
    ; E_USER_WARNING - user-generated warning message
    ; E_USER_NOTICE - user-generated notice message
; E_DEPRECATED - warn about code that will not work in future versions
    ; of PHP
    ; E_USER_DEPRECATED - user-generated deprecation warnings
    ; Common Values:

; to initialize a session variable in the global scope.
; PHP 4.3 and later will warn you, if this feature is used.

  • My Lightroom 5 upgrade serial number not showing up on My Products page; chat support useless

I purchased a Lightroom 5 upgrade license on July 25th.  I didn't receive a confirmation email but my serial number was displayed on the order summary page after purchase.  I tried registering the serial number repeatedly through the My Products page but for some reason the serial number wasn't showing up, even though the registration process reported a successful result.  Furthermore, Adobe products bought from the Adobe store should automatically be registered according to Adobe's web site.  Apparently this must have failed.  I need to reinstall Lightroom 5 but the serial number is still not showing up on the My Products page.  I just spent an extremely frustrating hour with Adobe "Live" chat who did nothing but send me in circles and repeat the same canned responses over and over again.
I'm currently on hold with "phone support" but I'm not optimistic as I've been on hold for 28 minutes.  The only other support option was a link to this forum, hence this post.  Hopefully someone from Adobe can retrieve my serial number and contact me.  Failing this my only other option will be to contact VISA and open a claim.
My comical-if-it-weren't-so-sad conversation with Adobe support:
Hi, there are 36 customer(s) in line ahead of you. We'll be with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

You are now chatting with Naveen R.
Naveen R: Sorry for the wait. Please do stay online.
Naveen R: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
    Joel: ok
    Joel: Hello
    Naveen R: Hi Joel.
Naveen R: I understand that you are unable to locate the serial number.
Joel: I purchased Lightroom 5 on July 25, 2013 as an upgrade for Lightroom 4. I need to reinstall Lightroom 5, but my serial number is not showing up in the products & services page.
Joel: I looked through my email receipts and couldn't find an order confirmation (or anything from Adobe related to my recent purchase.) After purchasing the upgrade, the serial number was displayed and I thought I had registered it using the Adobe account portal
Joel: Apparently, this didn't work. I have my VISA transaction information if required.
Naveen R: Thank you for the information.
Naveen R: I will be glad to check and help you with that.
    Joel: Thanks
Joel: As I mentioned to the previous agent, when I got into My Products on the Adobe portal, I can see my Lightroom 4 info, but the Lightroom 5 Upgrade info isn't there.
    Joel: got = go
    Joel: sry
Naveen R: Thank you for waiting. One moment please.
    Joel: ok

Naveen R: Thank you for waiting. One moment please.
Naveen R: Sorry for the wait. Please do stay online.
Joel: Will it take much longer?
Naveen R: Let me check on that.
    Joel: Are you alive?
Naveen R: I'm sorry due to application error I'm unable to check on that.
Joel: Can I please get a phone number to call? My only other choice would be to open a claim with VISA for fraud since Adobe seems unwilling to help in this matter
Naveen R: I will provide the steps to locate the serial number on your Adobe account.
Joel: I already know how to look for a serial number. The problem is that it doesn't show up in the Adobe account portal.
Naveen R: Please login under a different browser.
Joel: Already tried. Used IE then Chrome
Naveen R: Delete the cookies refresh your browser.
    Joel: Same problem
Joel: Please provide me with a number to call
Naveen R: *Once you login to the Adobe account, click on "My products" under the "My products and services".
Naveen R: *There you can locate the serial number which you have registered.
    Joel: I've already done that.
    Joel: It is NOT listed
Joel: Which I've been saying for the past 40+ minutes
Naveen R: May I know the email address you logged into Adobe account?
    Joel: ******
    Naveen R: Thank you.
    Joel: ...
Naveen R: Thank you for waiting. One moment please.

    Naveen R: Sure.
Naveen R: Is there anything else I can help you with?
    Joel: No
    Naveen R: You are welcome.
Naveen R: Thank you for contacting Adobe. We are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Goodbye!
    This chat session has ended.
    Thank you for contacting Adobe.

OK, I was able to recover my previous system's image and thankfully it appears you can get the serial number from Help->System Info.  I attempted to register the serial number again via the My Products page and while it indicated that the registration was successful, we'll see.  At least I should be able to install LR5 on my new machine now.
Edit:  I also just discovered that the serial number is listed under My Orders, but not under My Products.  Weird.  In my defence , I never thought to check My Order history because I never received a confirmation email and the order wasn't listed after purchase...even as late as mid-August (when I last checked.)  Very strange but it's all good now.
Edit #2: OK now I just feel silly.  I just received an email from Naveen with an actual support case AND the correct serial number.  So, I stand corrected.  The Live Chat process still felt incredibly long with some seemingly canned/automated responses but, in all fairness, he did get back to me.  Thank goodness I washed both feet today...

  • Search Item drop-down does not show any data for Advanced Search.

    Hi,
I have a requirement to add a new criteria to the existing Advanced Search region of 'My Employee Information' in Manager Self Service responsibility. I substituted the AdvancedSearchVO to include the new column. Using personalization i did the below steps to show the new column in the page,
    1) Created a 'Message Styled Text' item under Table Layout region to display the result. I associated the View Instance (AdvancedSearchVO1) and View Attribute (AttrColumn).
    2) In Advanced Search Panel created a new CriteriaRow and set the 'Search Allowed' property to True.
    3) In Advanced Search Mappings i tried to create the new mapping but the Search Item drop-down does not show any of the CriteriaRow item. But Results Item shows the 'Message Styled Text' item created in step 1 above.
Any idea what i would be missing becasue of which 'Search Item' property does not show any data?
I am using OAF version 12.1.1.
    Thanks, Suresh

  • Creative Cloud Subscription not showing in "My Account"

My creative Cloud Subscription is not showing up in my account. Why is this? I am being billed for it.
I am moving from the USA to Vietnam next year? Will there be any issues with using my Creative Cloud subscription over there? Will there be a better close-by contact for support?

Is the Adobe ID you are using to post here the same one you are using for your Creative Cloud subscription? The Adobe ID used to post here does not show your subscription or that you have accepted the terms of use by signing in at https://creative.adobe.com. Please email me at [email protected] to confirm about the Adobe ID and share a screen shot of where it shows you are being billed. We will work to resolve the issue.
Alternatively you can contact Customer Support to resolve:
    Phone 800-833-6687, Monday-Friday, 5am-7pm PST
Live chat with an agent: http://tinyurl.com/8kquhso
As long as your Adobe ID and credit card have a US billing address then you will be fine using the service from Vietnam.
