AD LDS issues

Question

Hi,
I have configured a instance using AD LDAP wizard,but when i try to connect using ADSI Edit i am not able to connect to that instance. My server is in workgroup model.
Attached the screenshot. it says Operation Error, specefied domain does not exist or could not be contacted. what is the mistake here.

Hi Suren,
Firstly, I suggest you try to connect to the instance using Ldp.exe tool to make sure that we have typed the correct naming context.
Please perform following steps:
Open Ldp.exe.
On the Connection menu, click
Connect.
In Server, type the server name.
In Port, type the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol port number you have specified.
On the Connection menu, click
Bind.
Select
Bind as currently logged on user, then click OK.
After that, click View and select Tree, we can see the instance name in the BaseDN field.
At this point, please input the correct naming context and correct port from ADSI.
We can find the port information under this registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\ADAM_yourinstance\Parameters\Port LDAP.
In addition, please uncheck the Simple bind authentication checkbox if you haven’t configured Proxy authentication.
