AD-OID Synchronization with groups
Hi,
I've successfully synchronized users form AD to OID
Groups are also well integrated but there is an attribute that is not
properly synchronized from AD to OID. I have created a group with its users in
AD. The group and all users are reachable from OID. However, in OID there is no
relation between the users and the group they belong to. That is,the attribute
uniquemember of the group is empty in OID.
In the mapping file, the corresponding rules are well stablished:
member: : :group:uniquemember: :groupofUniqueNames
Does anybody know why the uniquemember attribute is empty?

Hope you would be able to get your uniquemember mapping working by now.
I was able to do so using the out-of-box mapping provided by OID with AD.
However, I have a different problem while synching the AD groups with OID groups.
Let me try and explain my problem in more detail:
AD DIT:
cn=sd_groups,ou=sandiego,ou=sites,dc=mycompany,dc=com
OID DIT:
cn=groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com
In the process of syncing when the groups are brought over from AD to OID the uniquemember (members of the groups) also comes over. But when I try to delegate this group users it does not see those users (which has come over from AD) as they follow a totally different DIT as mentioned above. However, to mimic the DIT as in AD on the OID side. I tried to add an organizationalunit into the OID realm and it errors out. In other words that did not work.
It would be really nice to hear from someone who has done a similar implementation.
And also would be interested in hearing if somebody has done an export of groups and users into AD from OID.

HansjörgToday I searched through the discussions and found many other users with the same problem (Himalaya2050, Marbru, tugrulislier). Almost everybody using Nokia6230 and using international character set, maybe the root cause for the sync problem.
I think Nokia should have a tested fix for that problem.
Was the phone update the solution for other users? Do you have any feedback? I haven't found in the discussions any user with that problem solved.
When I first contact Nokia support in Brazil they told me to do many time consuming procedures (reinstall and update PC sw many times) that didn't worked and didn't make sense for me, as the sync was working with previous version. So I don't want to try another non tested solution, because I will have to go to a tech assistance, wait and probably loose all the information stored on the phone.
I think I will have to exchange my phone ... -
How to setup OID to synchronize with 2nd AD server

We are currently using OAS 10g (10.1.2.0.2)
We have configured OID to synchronize 1 way with 1 AD domain server on Global catalog port.
Now I have a 2nd AD domain server which we need to pull in the user accounts and synchronize any changes to these accounts into the same OID.
I have created a new integration profile in ODM to synchronzie accounts from 2nd domain server.
I have successfully pulled in the AD user accounts from the 2nd AD domain into OID by bootstrapping using the properties file method(only this method works, the usual bootstrap command without properties file doesnt work at all).
But after pulling in the AD accounts from 2nd domain server, the synchronization profile for the 2nd AD domain doesnt synchronize any changes in user account nor any new user created at 2nd domain end.
Have checked the synchronization profile trace file but could not find any thing wrong.
The new integration profile which was created for the 2nd AD domain is using the same "Connected Direcotory URL" as all the other profiles that we have for the 1st AD domain.
Can someone advise what is wrong with my OID synchronization process for the 2nd AD domain?
Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Do I require a separate AD admin account on the 2nd AD server in order to perform the ldapbind? or can I use the same AD admin account from the 1st AD server which I'm currently using on OID to sync with the 1st AD server?

Sun Directory Server and OID Synchronization
I'm having a problem with synchronizing OID with our existing Sun Directory Server. This is a one way synchronization, using Sun DS as the source, and OID as the destination. I've successfully installed OID with SSL enabled (this is part of an Oracle Portal installation), and followed what docs I could find. I created an integration profile based off the iPlanet Import profile, and imported a custom mapping profile based off a differing DIT naming convention (o=company.com vs dc=company,dc=com). I have applied an ACI that should allow the synchronization profile user to update entries on the OID side, and a user in Sun DS that has access to the appropriate areas on that side. I was able to successfully bootstrap and import all of our users, and it was also able modify the last changelog number.
Having said all of that, incremental changes aren't propagating to OID. I'm not sure where to look or what steps to take to troubleshoot this, as I'm brand new to OID. There's an agent execution command that is blank in the integration profile, but according to what I've found that's the default and is acceptable.
Am I missing a step here? According to the docs, all I need to do is enable the profile, and away it goes.
One last thing I had to do to overcome an issue with the changelog number not updating was adding our internal root ca's certificate to the local JVM's cacerts file. I accomplished this with the keytool command, and it seemed to work fine. I'm unsure if it's the SSL config that is hosed and is causing this, or if it's a configuration parameter I'm missing.. but I don't have anywhere to start as far as troubleshooting is concerned.On your integration profile, did you set the debug level to 63? You should have a _____.aud and a _____.trc file in your $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/odi/log directory that will provide more info. Did you start your DIP server (odisrv) with the oidctl command?
You might also look at downloading the "diptester" utility for troubleshooting OID synchronization issues.

Dear all,
I don't have the "Synchronize with Google" option in the Address Book's preferences, How do I get the update for this? If not, how can I create it? My Address Book is Version 4.1.2 (702).
TksAnd more confusion.... I tried a work-around as follows. I backed up the Google contact list by exporting a VCard file. I then deleted ALL of my local Mac contacts and then synched that with my Ipod. Since My ipod touch was synched with Google, I then verified that that contact list was all flushed away.
So, starting with nothing in any of the contact lists; Mac, IPod Touch, AND Google.
Step 1: I restored the Google Contact list using the VCard File. I verified that the contacts were all back.
Step 2: Checking my Ipod Touch, I verified that all the Google contacts had been transferred to the IPT.
Step 3: I synched the Ipod contacts list to Itunes.
Step 4: Checking everything, it looks like I finally have a good synch at all three points.
AND NOW THE PROBLEM:
I changed one of the addresses on the MAC Address Book by adding an additional mobile phone number.
I then synched the Ipod Touch with my MAC...
NOW, most of the addresses are showing 2Xs. I have 2 different contact groups as well. This is totally wrong. I want a single contacts list. I want GOOGLE to be the MASTER LIST that defines everything.

Hi I am unable to configure a specific folders for synchronization with my Z10.
Hi
Goal is to synchronize selective ( saved in single Folder / group) contacts with Blackberry Z10.
Created Separate group for Blackberry
Z10 is connected to computer with USB Cable and Link
On linke when I select Contacts / Calendar > Contacts Configure > Folders to Sync
I don't get any folder selection on the Link. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong or some bug.

Sup synchronization multiple groups issur
Hi all,
I try to synchronize one group synchronization from my sup 1.5.5 project.
I have anohers mbo on diferents sync grous that I don't need sync.
When I execute the following code in java:
MYPDB.snchronize("mygroup1")
All synchronization groups has been synchronized.
Any idea experts?

The 2 BAPI MBO's are ondemand MBOs.
and also i don't see how we an use online cache policy with "findbyParameter" for BAPI MBO's. -
I have a report which have year(2008), Category(0-1,2-3, ALL), product(0,1,2,3,4..), % sales. I group by all the category elements and called it as All, I am not getting the right percentage sales for the Category ALL other wise for 0-1,2-3 i am getting it right. Custom IKM Knowledge Modules are not working with Group By Clause

I am facing an issue with custom IKM knowledge modules. Those are IKM Sql Incremental Update and IKM Sql Control Append.
My Scenario is
1. Created an interface with table on source and temporary datastore with some columns in target.
2. In the Interface on the target i defined one column as UD1 and other column as UD2 for which group by to be implemented .
3. Customized IKM Sql Incremental Update with " Group by " by making modification in my IKM Sql Incremental Update
detail step "Insert flow into I$ table" i.e., i replaced like this whereever i find this <%=odiRef.getGrpBy()%> API

. Here in the place of [EXPRESSION] i passed column names for UD1 similarly other column name for [EXPRESSION] of UD2.

5. Executed the Interface with global context.

If your are transfering data from Oracle to Oracle (I means source is oracle Db and target is also oracle DB) then use below KM's and group by will come automatically based on the key values you selected on interface target datastore
1) CKM Oracle
2) LKM Oracle to Oracle (DBLINK)
3) IKM Oracle Incremental Update (MERGE)

I use an iPad 2 at work that has a different apple id for iCloud than my own personal new iPad. How can I change the company's id for iCloud to synchronize with my own personal iPad?
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID listed and sign out and sign in with other ID
You also may want to go to other places like:
- Settings>iCloud
- Settinge>FaceTime
- Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and change the ID
It may be best to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings and start over again and set up the iPod again with his account/ID -

Don´t know much about databases, but it seems im missing some important tables or data -
I deleted the playlists on my iPhone and when I now try to synchronize with my iTunes account to put the music back, nothing happens and I do not get the music back on my iPhone. Anyone who knows why that could be? Grateful for any suggestions!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer -

I am migration database from oracle to SQL using ssma.
I get below warning on doing "synchronize with database".
"The database owner SID recorded in master database differs from the database owner SID
recorded in database XXXX (migrated SQL DB). This may lead to error during synchronization. You should correct this situation by
resetting the owner of the database XXXX (migrated SQL DB)."

Blackberry Desktop Software only synchronizes with folder Outlook in Microsoft Outlook. But, folders (.PST files) may be renamed and there may be multiple such folders open in Outlook at any time. I have six, none of which is named Outlook. Two of those are archival and four are associated and named for email addresses.The Desktop software should list the pst files checkboxes to indicate whether synchronization should be performed with them.
Well I believe I have figured out the answer to my own question, I ended up having to do a repair installation for Office 2010 and I was able to sync from outlook to the Blackberry.
