AD services not appearing in Windows 2012 menu

Hi there
I'm building a virtual 2012 environment with separate machines for AD and WSUS.
I've then built another machine called Management. Using the Windows 2012 menu, I've added the 2 machines above as machines to manage however there is a problem.
It does appear to add them as on my left hand side of the Windows 2012 panel, it shows WSUS and AD DS. However the problem is that when I click on the Tools machine to access AD, it doesn't exist. My understanding is that once I add that machine
as a machine to manage, I should get all the management options?
I've pretty sure it's worked in the past...
Any ideas?

It seems I needed to add the Remote Management from the Features tab of the dashboard. I, mistakenly, was under the impression that by adding the servers to manage, it would automatically add the required Administration tool, depending on the server
role.

Effects not appearing in Dreamweaver Spry menu

Hi Folks,
I've installed the Spry updater in Dreamweaver CS3 then used
it to update the Spry assets. I selected all assets, including
effects. All were updated (some added for the first time) except
for effects. It does not appear in the Spry menu at all. Does
anybody know why effects might not be available on the Spry menu in
Dreamweaver even after being selected for update?

Ah ha! That's it. (I can see why they belong there, of
course, but I sure didn't think to look there.
In case any other newbies are in the same boat, you not only
have to select Windows/Behaviors, which will bring up the Behavior
panel, you then need to select an element (like a div) to which you
want to apply the effect, click on the plus sign in the behaviors
panel, then select Effects from the list.

I can no longer burn a disc. The command to do so does not appear in my Files menu. All my recordings are 100% legal. I have installed a new version (it still looks the same), but that hasn't helped. I have done so before.

All my music is from legal sources (albums owned by me, others from iTunes), but the Burn Disc command does not appear in the File menu, and nothing I do helps. I downloaded a new version of iTunes, but it still loks the same and may just be the same. But the problem started long before I did that.

You don't even need to show the general Sidebar as suggested by others.

Some Services not appearing in ESS.

Hi All,
I have configured ESS and it was working fine previously.
But now Some Services on overview page of ESS are missing after 105 mapping.
This issue is for all the users.
But if i remove 105 mapping all the service link appearing on overview page.
services not appearing after 105 mapping : Form 16, tax declaration , IT declaration , work Event AreaPage.
System version is EHP7.
Kindly suggest.

we are not using any UI5 Application so ODATA is not required.
we have configured LPD_CUST properly.
If Employee not maintain in 105 than all the services are appearing.
but if we map user under 105 infotype than some services is not appearing .

Add In's do not appear in the edit menu

I use Nik filters for LR on my MacBook Pro, OS 10.7.4. I installed the Portraiture add-in. It did not appear in the Photo - Edit menu. I reinstalled it several times. Then I opened the External Editing window and inserted Portraiture. Now the Nik filters do not appear. When I change External Editing back to Nik Color Efex it appears in the edit menu but portraiture does not.
Previously all of my 6 Nik filters appeared in the edit menu. Now only the filter selected in the External Editing window appears in the edit menu. When I clear the menu in External Editing no add-in's appear. It seems that only one add-in at a time can be accessed and that the External Editing screen is the only way to access other add-in's, much too time consuming for an efficient workflow.
On my iMac also 10.7.4 all the Nik and Portraiture add-in's appear in the edit menu.
Is there a fix?

Missing History and Snapshot panels, not found in Window dropdown menu

Both my history and snapshot panels disappeared (LR5) suddenly, and neither appears in the Window>Panels dropdown menu.
This *may* have occurred when I was trying to bring up my target collection (command B). I must have accidentally hit some other key(s), because suddenly I was taken to the last folder I was in.
I'm afraid to close LR and reopen it, in case that makes the problem worse. I really want those panels back!

Folders should not appear in the Develop Module, this panel is in the Library module only
The folders didn't appear in the Library module.
But now I have clicked something else (and I don't think it's Wacom-related now) ... it was something in the Window dropdown menu, and once again, I get the folders back but the snapshots and history are gone! Aaarggh.

Why "Lighting Effects.plugin" in FIlter folder does not appear in the Rendering menu?

Photoshop CS5 - I need to work with the "Lighting Effects.plugin".
The plug-in is correctly installed into Adobe Photoshop CS5.1>Plug-ins>Filters but it NOT APPEAR rolling down the RENDERING menu!!
How can I make it visible?

That particular filter was not updated/upgraded to 64 bits, therefore you need to launch Photoshop as a 32-bit application.

In 64-bit versions of Mac OS 10.5 and later, some older, optional plug-ins are available only if Photoshop is running in 32-bit mode:
In the Finder, choose Go > Applications.

User-friendly name for Panel Which Does Not Appear in the Extensions Menu

We are developing various Extensions panels for CS5 using ActionScript.
We only want a single Extension, our Main panel, to appear in the Windows>Extensions menu. Once that Panel is opened, it would open other extensions, as required.
The problem is, that the only way to remove a Panel from the Extensions menu is to remove its "<menu/>" element from the manifest. However, if I do that, then when we call those other extensions from the Main extension, the titale diplaed in the Panel is the "ExtensionID" from the manifest, which is not user firendly (such as "com.mycopmany.mysystem.Employees.extension1"), when I only wanted "Employees" to be in the title.
Any ideas what I can do?

Object(this.parent.parent.parent.parent) returns an Object of type com.adobe.csxs.stagemanager.ExtensionWindow
"ExtensionWindow" is clearly a very useful object, but I can't find the SWC in which ii is deifned, and therefore can not create a routine which accepts as a paraemeter or returns a strongly type object of type ExtensionWindow. In addition, as it appears to be undocumented, the only way I can see which properties are available is to view tyhe result of "Object(this.parent.parent.parent.parent)" in the debugger.
Any ideas where the SWC is - or where there is any documentation for this object?

Scripts not Appearing Under "Scripts" in Menu

I have been going crazy trying to get my custom scripts to appear in the "Scripts" menu item under "File" in Illustrator CS4. I've tried placing them in Presets > Scripts, I've tried creating a folder under "Plug-Ins" called "Scripts" and placing them there, and several other places in an attempt to find anything that will work, but so far nothing has. I've also tried deleting the Illustrator Prefs but that didn't help. Has anybody encountered this problem before?

I have exactly the same problem.
For example, one of my scripts is called IA_tile_1.jsx.
Under my scripting menu I have:
ExportDocAsFlash
Flex Skins
LiveTrace
SaveDocAsPDF
SaveDocAsSVG

After reading the comments here I tried coping it into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Presets from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Scripting, but this made no change.
The other thing I find confusing is Usually when I open a script it defaults to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Scripting. However sometimes it defaults to C:\Users\windowsdomainname\My Documents. As windows handles this as a library which is a top level windows container, not as a subdirectory of the directory c:\Users\windowsdomainname\ I can't just up two folders and start tracing my way back down the directory tree. I have to wait a while while all my network locations are enumaterated until I can finally select C:\, then navigate down from the root again. Thats kind of a gripe because, from the free scripts for Illustrator I have looked at, very few of them seem to genuinely save time for the user or even perform something that can't be easily done with more control via freehand. You would think with all of this stuffing around it would generally be quicker than just performing the job of the script by hand rather than trying to locate such a deeply nested folder than can't default consistently to the same folder. The only reason I'm perservering here is because Illustrator seems to lack a tool that I honestly thought was kind of the reason you would write a program like Illustrator: for the ability to array items and tile items like a grid. Maybe be able to specify by pixel the location of the object. Well, it turns out Illustrator can't be used like this at all unless you write a custom script to handle it, but then it seems to make you jump lots of hoops to get it to show up in the scripting menu or to get the "other scripts" to consistently default to the same folder.
So what causes that default script folder to change. Sometimes in a matter of seconds between consequtive runs on a script?
And how do we get our custom scripts to show up in the scripts menu so we don't have to click "Other Scripts" to begin with?

Ipod mini does not appear in windows explorer or I tunes

Two days ago, I purchased an IPod mini for my daughter to take to college. Directions seemed certainly clear enough to connect.
Unfortunately, I have spent two days trying to transfer music from itunes, on three different computers (two of of which are about a year old) utilizing at various times all of the USB ports available for use between the three computers.
I have updated windows and the Itunes and Ipod updater software for all of the computers.
I have reset and restored the Ipod numerous times.
On my laptop, the Ipod appears in Windows explorer but not under "Source" in Itunes. On another computer (a 3 year old Dell) it neither appears in Itunes or Windows explorer.
AT no time, does ITUNES automatically start when it is connected through a USB port.
Needless to say, I am frustrated and sorely disappointed that connecting this has become so difficult.
Before returning and giving up on the Apple, I thought I would try this discussion forum to see if anyone had any additional ideas.

Thanks for your recommendation! I did, at one point, try to get the apple logo to appear but it never did and I'm not sure why.
Meanwhile, we exchanged it for a different one.
This time it worked but only after the shop I bought it from updated the software for us.
The ipod, however, still doesn't automatically start itunes when it is connected; for some reason. Itunes has to be started, and the the Ipod needs to be connected. After a short while, it then appears under source and songs can be downloaded.
But, after all that, it now works!!!!!

CD/DVD drive does not appear in Windows 8

My CD/DVD drive no longer appears in Windows Explorer in Windows 8.1 on my HP Pavillion Slimline 400-034 Desktop PC. The drive spins upon boot. I've tried the Microsoft Window 8 troubleshooting with no luck. I'd like to try the HP troubleshooting which requires BIOS access upon boot, but pressing F10 during boot does not get me to the BIOS but instead loads Windows normally. Any suggestions to at least help me get to the BIOS?
