Adapter Configuration failed, please re run the installer to fix the issue
the above message is popping up while i try to install BODS in Windows 8 64bit
after i give ok i couldnt able to run the BODS ??
the first problem about Adapter Configuration failed during installation is a bug. This problem happens in case the installer is not able to get the short path name for LINK_DIR and while submitting the command for configuring the Adapter the command is having spaces in the path resulting in incorrect command which is failing
check the di_0.log installer log file in <BOE_HOME>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\logging folder, open this file in notepad and search for following text
com.acta.adapter.sdkutil.UpdateAdapterVersion
you will see a error like java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Objects\BusinessObjects
if you are not using Adapters then this is not a problem for you, your installation is fine, you should be able to use other functions
The second issue with SNMP, the error message says "The port may be in use by another process", check if the port 4001 is avilable ? try with a different port number

Were you starting the control panel from disk as administrator because it didn't work starting it through the Start menu (if you have Control Panel set to View by Category, the Java control panel is under "Programs"). -

I am trying to install software and am getting the following prompt.

This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:

Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:

Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.

I recently connected my iPhone to my computer, iTunes would not start... I got error: "applcation failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the appliacation may fix the problem." When I tried reinstalling it failed - it said insufficient permission. On my iphone 5 , i m facing slow wifi issue. Ios 6.0.2 didnt resloved it.any one please told me ios 6.1 fixed this issue or not b/c i m right now not in a mood to install the ios 6 .
It seems that people experience slow wifi on iphone with IOS 6 under slightly different circumstances.
Some have slow/choppy video streaming, some have problems with large dropbox files, some with app store and some with podcasts.

Me personally, I have download speed when on wifi.
But only when downloading podcasts...
Running 6.0.1 or 6.1 on iPhone 5, iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
On WIFI I can download a 45 mb app from the appstore in less than a minute. I can stream Youtube and Netflix with no problems. Internet browsing - no problems.
But downloading podcasts with Instacast 3, Downcast or the Apple Podcast app happens at a rate of 20-80 kb/s when on WIFI. As soon as I switch to 3g ( 4g/LTE is not yet available from my local provider) my download speed goes to between 300kb/s and 2 mb/s.
Anyone else have this problem? -
I recently downloaded a program ScanFont 5, When I try to open the installer I get the following message: "You can't open the application "(null)" because it may be damaged or incomplete. Is there any way I can get the installer to open anyway?
The message means just what it says. Remove the damaged copy and try downloading it again.
Edit: Looking at FontLab's page, there's two issues going on.
1) It's a PowerPC app and will not run on any version of OS X newer than Snow Leopard, 10.6.x.
2) The "workaround" they offer is to purchase the Windows version and then run it in the the open source Wine, Windows emulator. -
I'm currently using Lightroom 5.3 and I'm constantly being told to update to 5.5. The download is over 900 Mb but only about a third of that downloads. I have plenty of space on my SSD. Each time I try to complete the installation I get the message 'A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 Installer again.' What am I doing wrong?
