Adapter Engine alerts: Error in Adapter Engine

Hi All,
I have configured Alerts for <b>Adapter Engine</b>.
I am getting alerts with Alert Text as follows during Scenario runs - XML File to ABAP Proxy Scenario (Average size of files is in MB's) daily.
1.Error: DeliveryException: Problem inserting 6204b980-2f9d-11dc-9262-001635731444(OUTBOUND) into the database: com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: Connection is invalid.
2.Error: com.sap.engine.services.ts.exceptions.BaseSystemException: Exception ( SAP J2EE Engine JTA Transaction : [c1e757e003475] ) in rollback.
This error comes just <b>momentarily</b> and Messages (Files) are processed Successfully (No System Errors, etc at Adapter Engine).
I am not able to figure out the reason for this exception.
Expecting your valuable inputs.
Thanks.

Sudharshan N A

Hi,
This happens sometimes when the adapter engine is on heavy load. Since the message is asynchronous, it is persistent. So it tries to write the message onto teh backend DB on which XI is involved. When teh load is more on the AE, the communication sometimes fails for a few milli seconds. This happens at times. Once it has enough capacity, it again preocesses the message successfully. It also happens sometimes that the message content will be lost. As of now, i am not sure if there is any solution for this.
reward if helpful.
Thanks,
sarath.

I am getting alerts when I manually test the alerts configurations by running the report u2018RSALERTTESTu2019.
I am getting mail as :

  • ALERT not getting triggered for messages in error in adapter engine

    Hi All,
I am doing the same scenario where I have created two Alert category Alert_cat1 and Alert_cat2, both are similar but one i have created for error in integration engine(Alert_cat1 ) and other for adapter engine(Alert_cat2).
Now for Alert_cat1 i have created a rule and in the setting "where did the error occur" I have given no restriction.
Now for Alert_cat2,as discussed in the above blog I have created many rule each for various adapter.
I have tested it, above mentioned configuration is working for message mapping error (sxmb_moni)
but not for any error in adapter engine for messages in waiting or system erroe status.
Kindly suggest where I am going wrong.

  • How to Get Channel Name in Adapter Engine Alerts

    Hi All,
I am using 'Alrtcatdef' and 'Rules' in RWB to generate Adapater Engine Alerts. I am aware of the standard containers that are available to compose Alert Email content.
Is there a way I can read the Channel Name(and NOT Adapter type i.e Idoc, File) that errors out, in the email content.
Channel Name is the name of the channel I proivde in Integration Directory.
    Thanks,
    Xier

The above requirement could have been done with custom alert container variables ..... but defining custom alert container seems not possible.
    Workaround:
When you run a scenario we have a fixed set of channel(s).....sender (optional) and receiver ..... an error in the sender channel goes back to the sending application and hence XI support personnel is excluded from it.....so now what remains is the receiver channel.
So if your requirement is to include channel name for one (or few) of the scenarios then include it in the Alert message that you set in the ALRTCATDEF ..... i.e. hard-code it ...... wont be a good approach if you have to implement the same logic for all the scenarios.....
Suggested the above approach thinking it is not possible to build custom container ..... if there is a way to do it then please even let me know.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Adapter Engine Alert

    Hi,
I have set up the alert configuration and I am receiving all the alerts for intergeration server but when I raise any alert for adapter engine.. I am not receiving anything. Is there anything special needs to be done for the same.
    Please Help ! !  ! !
    Regards
    Ria

    Hi,
When you create the Alert Rules, create a separate Alert Rule for the Adapter Engine errorrs.
In where did the error occur in the alert rule, select Adapter Engine and make the adapter type as ALL.
To forward alerts to an Email Id, this is what you need to do,
    1. Assign the Email Id to the recipient of the Alert in SU01.
    2. Go the Alert Inbox of the recipient in RWB , Personalization --> Time Independent Delivery -->Email.
3.If SCOT has been configured, for every Alert sent to the Alert Inbox of the user, the Alert Email will now be triggered.
4.Text of the mail will be the Long Text defined in ALRTCATDEF.
The specified item was not found.

  • Adapter engine alerts are not working ..

We have been using SAP PI 7.1 version  and SP08 and recently i have been configured XI alerts . When i have do IE errors alerts are recieving in Alert inbox as well as to mail but when i try to create error in Adapter engine iam not recieving any alert . I had been gone through most of the links but didnt get any and according to sap Note 913858 :
Q10: I do not receive any alerts, but when I test the alert
category using the report RSALERTTEST, an alert is delivered.
    - A10: In transaction ST22, search for dumps caused by the user
XIRWBUSER stating that the authorization is missing for RFC
calls or for the function group SXMSALERT. If this is the case,
you probably have to regenerate the roles and profiles for the
    XIRWBUSER.
But same procedure i have been followed but ST22 i couldnt able to see any dump and when try to run the program by giving alert category Adpater engine alerts are reaching inbox as well as to mail. • Error in Adapter engine-"No_Spedin"

    Hi All,
I have observed the below error in adapter engine today(System error).
JCO.Exception while calling /SEEAG/RELI_XI_EDIINH_FILE in remote system (RfcClient[PEQ_RFC_INBOUND]):com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Exception condition "NO_SPEDIN" raised.: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException

  • Graphic Mapping:IDOC to File-Avoid Error in Adapter Engine

    Hi all,
I'm using Graphic Mapping in my IDOC to File scenario in which each segment in source IDOC will generate a ROW in target File with the condition: DATBI >= currentdate (and some other conditions)
I have a UDF and use the mapping function CREATEIF for this purpose:
                                 DATBI -> UDF -> CREATEIF -> ROW
Problem scenario: In the source IDOC if all the segments have DATBI < currentdate then there is no ROW created, and I get the error in Adapter Engine
Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure ...
    How can I avoid this?
I've tried to put this condition using XPATH in Interface Determination and got the error.
There is a way to use function current-date() in XPATH condition?
    Thanks for your help,
    Elaine

    Hi all,
How can I "suppress the row node if condition fails"? I'm new in PI, so please give more details.
    My FCC as follows:
    Record Structure: Record, Row
    Row.addHeaderLine 0
    Row.fieldSeparator ,
    Record.fieldSeparator 'nl'
    Row.endSeparator ; 'nl'
It works fine if the condition satisfied.
In Message Mapping, I've use Test to double check my mapping, and in the scenario that conditions fails, there is no Row in the target message.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Elaine

  • Reg: Error in adapter Engine Monitoring

    Hi Guys,
In my RFC to File Scenario i got error as Adapter message property was configured was mandatory element but there is no Dynamic ocnfiguration elementin XI MEssage Header. This is occur in adapter engine monitoring in RWB.
    Thanks

This error comes if you there is a problem in passing the file via dynamic configuration
for this if you want temporary solution like filename not necessarily be dynamic then go to receiver file adapter then
adapter specific message attributes deselect filed Failif file name does not.... sme option where you can uncheck the failure option
and in this case need to provide the filename and file will get generated with this filename if there is no filename generates using dynamic configuration
for this to resolve permanently then check the filename is passed or not  to file adapter in moni in dynamicconfiguratuoin tab of callAdapter pipeline service

  • RWB: System error in INtegration Engine, Adapter engine OK

    HI All,
I have an interface converting IDOCS from R/3 into Text files and sending them to Legacy system via XI.
Data is flowing correctly, however I can see some errors in the RWB. (SXI_MONITOR is clean, no errors)
Upon investigation, I found that its has transmitted the file correctly, however this INtegration system error is shown.
    To explain further:
    BUssiness syst name of R/3  = BS_R/3
Bussiness syst name of legacy = BS_LEGACY
    Bussiness service used  = BS_SERV_R3
    Message INterface  = MIIA_R/3
    So in RWB:
Message from BS_R3 to BS_LEGACY are SUCCSSFUL (Adapter and Integration engine , both success)
Message from BS_SERV_R3  to MIIA_R/3 (Adapter engine Sucess but INtegration engine = System Error)
Is it that the messages are going fine and the acknowledgements are failing or something like that.
    Appreciate your guidance on same.
    Many thanks
    Shirin

    Hi Shirin
I got a confusion understanding above
Scenario is IDOC R/3 -> PI -> Text Files -> PI -> Legacy system ?
if you have BS_SERV_R3 to MIIA_R/3 implemented for acknowledgments then definitely thats the error. But please share how you are getting ACK to understand and resolve error.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • RWB - Cache Connectivity Test - Adapter Engine shows error

    Hello Friends,
In our one production system (PI 7.1), while do 'Cache Connectivity Test' from RWB -> Component Monitoring, it shows the following error for Adapter Engine under Integration Directory.
    Error:
Cache notification from Integration Directory failed Error when accessing the System Landscape Directory.
No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
But, Integration Server - ABAP, Integration Server - JAVA shows green color. The messages are flowing through the Adapter Engine fine. i.e I am seeing 2 Adapter Engines under Integration Server in Component Monitoring. One Adapter Engine is in grey and another Adapter Engine shows green color.
When I click the grey color adapter engine, it immediately turns to red color and some different host name url is displayed (http://<wronghost>:53000/AdapterFramework/rtc).
So, what could be the problem ?
    Kindly clarify, friends.
    Thanking you.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Hello Jegathees
Apply the solution in note #804124 HTTP communication with XI Adapter Engine fails. Set the parameters:
    SLD.selfregistration.hostName
    SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
    SLD.selfregistration.httspPort
    as described in the note.

  • Advanced Adapter Engine - alerting

    Hello experts,
I'm using SAP PI 7.11 and I'm facing problems when I want to alert errors in my adapter linked to a integrated configuration object (AAE). Nothing seems to happen, but I clearly see the error in my communication channel monitoring.
Could it be that the adapter is an SFTP adapter from Aedaptive?
    Thanks a lot
    Dimitri

    Hi Dimitri,
Looks like you resolved the problem.
We are also having similar kind of issue, we are on SAP PI 7.11.
alerts are not triggered for seeburger SFTP adapter even the error is showing in communication channel monitoring.
What is the reason for this behaviour of SFTP adapter.
    Thanks

  • File adapter can't connect to xi-engine

    Hello,
I have a problem running the file copy scenario from tutorial. The file adapter reads the file and removes it from the source directory but the message never receives the mapping engine.
The adapter throws the error message (sorry it's a german installation):
'Fehler beim Übertragen der Message zum Endpunkt https://hpsaps01.inveos.com:8001/sap/xi/engine?type=entry über die Verbindung AFW. Grund: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while silently connecting: org.w3c.www.protocol.http.HttpException: java.io.EOFException: Connection closed by remote host.'
Translated to english this would mean: Error by sending message to endpoint over connection AFW.
The status of the ist wait and changed after some time to system error.

    Hi Volker,
I think it is a problem with Cache refresh. SO go to SXI_CACHE and try to refresh the mapping.
    Also check this

Also have a look at the following threads...

If the above doesnt work, Just try to restart AFW and AFxxx services (from Visual Admin)
Steps to restart AFW and AFxxx services are:
Start the Visual Admin tool. Connect to your XI J2EE Engine (640).
    Go to Server->Services.
Try to restart such services as "SAP XI AF Messaging", "SAP XI AF Core", "SAP XI Adapter: XI", etc.
    It hope it helps.
