    Hi All,
Recently we had a sand box which is a sytem copy of our development server, and everything works fine now.
I have observed a strange issue here is, in the developement rwb under the Non-Central Adapter engines I see a entry as "Adapter Engine T49 (sand box host name)" the SID seen here is a sand box SID, and till today we never installed any non-central adapter engine either on dev or sand box, I am suprised to see this entry, can some one
please help me to understand why is this sand box entry is shown under development rwb and where can I set this or where how can I delete this entry.
Surprisingly I do not see the same non central adapter engine entry on sand box rwb.
All the servers are XI 3.0 (SP 19).
    Thanking you in advance..

    Hi Sonali,
The adapter and integration server engines gets registered with the data in SLD. Please check SLD associations for all XI classes.

    Hello Sonali
This is most likely caused by errors registering the XI components in the SLD. Apply the notes below:
#764176 Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents
#1117249 Incomplete Registration of PI components in SLD
#1334053 No automatic PI 7.10 SLD Registration
Also search the forum for similar issues registering the adapter engine in the SLD components.

  • No entry for adapter engine in CPACache

    Hi all,
This is a new installation of PI 7.0. Some of the issues we are facing are:
    1) ID -> cache notifications -> unable to determine the name of central AE from SLD
    2) Integration Builder -> Admin -> cache overview -> refresh objects fails
    3) RWB -> Cache connectivity test for AE fails
    4) SXI_CACHE -> goto Adapter Engine Cache -> No Entry under Adapter Engine Connection data cache
    5) RWB -> Adapter Monitoring : Only JPR is shown. All the adapters need to be shown as well.
    6) SLD -> Technical Systems -> XI -> Integration server does not show the domain name. But all other components have a consistent domain name.
It seems to me that somehow the adapter framework hasnt been registered in the SLD. Do we need to do this manually?
Any help on any of the above issues is greatly appreciated..
    thanks!

  • Adapter Engine Not Showing up in SXI_CACHE

    Hi,
The adapter Engine is not showing up in the Transaction SXI_CACHE and also when i create a RFC comm channel it is not showing up in the Adapter Engine Dropdown. Can anyone let me know whether these both are linked and is there any way to rectify the same ?
    Regards,
    Kittu.

    Hi Kittu,
try restarting the J2EE Engine. This should register the AE with the SLD.
If that does not work then check there are not SLD inconsistencies,
    i.e.,
<b>#764176</b>  Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents
If that does not help try calling the <b>FM - SAI_AE_DETAILS_GET</b>
    <i>e.g.</i>
    TCODE
      <b>SE37</b>
    SAI_AE_DETAILS_GET
    <b> Import parameters                  Value</b>
    AE_NAME                             AF.<SID>.<IS Hostname>
    BYPASSING_CACHE              X
The result should be something like
    <b>Export parameters               Value</b>
    AE_MSG_URL                      http://<IS Hostname>:<J2EE port>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
    IS_SERVICE_USER_NAME            XIISUSER
    IS_SERVICE_USER_PASSWORD
    WAS_CACHED
and the <b>AE</b> should be listed in
    TCODE

  • URL for Central Adapter Engine

    Hi,
It seems like our XI Server is unable to locate the Central adapter engine for doing an outbound RFC call. I am trying to call an RFC using the RFC adapter, and getting the following error:
      <SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText>no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:AdditionalText>
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack>Error when reading the access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:Stack>
Where do we maintain the URL of the adapter engine ?
    thanks,
    Manish

I have the same problem since we changed the name of the database server - the server name reported in the error is the old name.  I've checked all the properties in this thread, plus follwed through OSS note 764176 with no luck.  All the properties reflect the new name, but testing the proxy (SPROXY) still fails with the error:
    <CODE>INTERNAL.AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR</CODE>
<ERRORTEXT>Error when reading the access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine af.xix.sapsbxcrmdb2</ERRORTEXT>
sapsbxcrmdb2 is the old database server name.
I found one location where this is displayed - in transaction SXI_CACHE (in the client of th integration server), Menu option GOTO -> Adapter Engine Cache.  The column 'Adapter Engine Name' reflects the incorrect name.  Where is this property stored?
I cleared this entry manually by selecting the row and clicking on the trash can icon.  Later it was refreshed properly.
    -Mike
Update:  I found that the SOAP Reciever channel in my Integration Scenario had a hard-coded entry pointing to the old integration server name in the property 'Adapter Engine'.  I changed this by selecting the 'Integration Server' in the drop down.  This changed the error behavior (still doesn't work, but the above errors went away).

  • TWO Adapter Engine (CA + IS) - How to delete one?

    Hi,
In PI prod, I have an issue when PI has to send back an acknowledgment to ECC (when ECC send an idoc) (*). By looking queue log and reading SXMB_MONI trace, I identified that my problem is certainly with the link "IE -> Adapter Engine" and here's what we have:
    In PI prod:
      - in SXMB_ADM, category=RUNTIME + Parameter=IS_URL, I have: http://<host>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry   " no <port> !
      - in SXI_cache, I have TWO entries for Adapter cache:
         1. AE name = af.pip.pip-mssql
            AE type = CA
            AE URL  = http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
         2. AE name = is.50.pip-sap
            AE type = IS
            AE URL  = http://<host>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry             " no <port> !
And when PI has to send back the ack, it uses the 2 line of SXI_CACHE (e.g "IS"), and it's here that we have error (e.g HTTP_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE), whereas in PI quality, I have:
       - in SXMB_ADM, category=RUNTIME + Parameter=IS_URL, I have: http://<host>:<j2eeport>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
       - in SXI_cache, I have one entry:
            AE name = af.piq.piq
            AE type = CA
            AE URL  = http://<host>:<j2eeport>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
To solve issue, my first idea is to provide <port> in "IS" url, and check the result... but why to keep two AE?
The 2nd idea is to delete the 2nd entry (e.g "IS") in SXI_CACHE and/or update the appropriate "aii" properties.
    I have three questions:
    1. what's the best approach?
    2. where the 2nd entry of SXI_CACHE (e.g "IS") is maintained? which aii properties?
    3. do I have to stop/start PI server? if update IS_URL in SXMB_MONI, and/or if update the "aii" properties.
As error appears in prod (only), please answer only if you are sure , because myself I have a doubt....
And if you could refers to a help sap, snd, pdf links, I will appreciate.
    Thanks.
    Mickael
    PI 7.1 EhP1
(*) I know that a quick solution should be to use prog IDX_NOALE in order to not send Ack... but I don't want that.

option 2 should be a clean approach.

      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack>Error while reading access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine</SAP:Stack>
    My Analysis :
1, In SXI_CACHE i could see 'Unable to refresh cache contents' and 'Error during last attempt to refresh cache' also I could not see any entry in Adapter Engine Connection Data Cache.
2, when execute the RFC connection 'INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI' Its asking for userId and password .
3, I tried reset the password and do a JAVA restart again with same error.
    Clarificaiton need :
1 Looks some authorization error , but where exactly to maintain this ,
2, How the adatper engince connection data will populate in to sxi_cache transaction.

  • RFC adapter - AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR - no adapter engine

    Hello,
    have a strange error.
Our scenario connects two R/3 systems via RFC adapter (outbound / inbound) for an RFC in a standard R/3 function module SUSR_ZBV_GET_REMOTE_PROFILES.
    The RFC is synchronous.
When starting the RFC call from the sender system the error message in the trace is "exception while reading from SLD:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not exist".
    Message in RWB:
"Transmitting the message using connection http://abc038.ceu.test.com:8077/sap/xi/engine?type=entry failed, due to: XIServer:AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not: Unable to find any Adapter Engines."
    - SLD connection is working
    - Vis.Admin.: no problems found
      (SAP RFC adapter active)
    - Component monitoring: no errors
    - all rfc connections checked: ok
Does anybody have an idea, how to fix that?
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hello Dirk and all posters,
We get the same problem just as you described.
We also see no entries in the sxi_cache part for the adapter engine which indicates a problem in getting AE metadata from the SLD.
I see we are all not alone so i believe SP12 is the cause for the problem.
We have another SP11 system that works well.
We tried all those things to understand the problem:
    1. look at the structure of the calsses maintained in the SLD to make sure the property "adapterType" exists.
    2. Checked the log of the SLD with level "Finest" to make sure the data for the property is sent - all OK.
    3. Try to completely delete SLD and reimport CIM 1.4 and CR content 2.0 - all the latest from the web - problem still exists.
    4. Put a huge trace on the RFC gateway in the ABAP engine to make sure all XML data is received from SLD server including specific proprty. all ok.
    5. Of course we made sure all caches are refreshed, access to SLD is performed all right (logs, traces).
    6. Try to disable SM59 entry: SAPSLDAPI and look at the trace in SXMB_MONI. It shows error of connection of course instead of the error of the non exsitene property. But it still shows the error for not getting the access data - so this is only a side affect of the real problem.
Now, as you can see we turned the system from inside out.
I beleive the problem is SAP's problem regarding the parsing of the COM model in the CIM client. I believe that if i could debug the actual abap that parses the XML in the ABAP WAS i would find the problem - i could'nt find a way of debugging the actual processing of a message in QRFC so i'm stuck here.
    - Does all of you who have the problem has SP12 ?
    - Does any one have an idea of anything else we can all check ?
Good luck for us all :->
    Yoad Snapir.

  • No_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine

    Hi,
I am facing the same problem. I have configured a RFC-File scenario.
I get the error"no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine af.<SID>.<server>"
    and <INTERNAL.AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR>
I get the error "no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine" when I execute the Function Module SAI_AE_DETAILS_GET.
    This error occured in the line 235( sap_xi_adapter_services = sld_accessor->associators( iref = sap_xi_adapter_framework assocclass = 'SAP_HostedXIAdapterServi) of the FM.
The value is not filled and i get the error mentioned.
I have gone through thread and verified all the points mentioned.
I have checked SXI_CAHCE,there are no locked users in RSUSR200,
    SXI_CACHE, Goto->AdapterEngine Cache, I have an entry af.<sid>.<server>
In SLD,Technical Landscape,Exchange Infrastructure I have the entry <SID>.<Server> against the Adapter Engine
But as was mentioned in the thread the line 241 of the Fucntion Module has 'adapterType' and not 'Adaptertype' as in the exchange profile.I did not try changing 'a' to 'A'.
Could you please let me know how to solve the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vani,
Check the pipeline URL in the SLD
    Business System->URL
    It should be
    http://host:HTTPport/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Just check this thread- may be useful-

  • Adapter Engine Issue in RWB

    Hi,
I am getting a error in the RWB:
Self-Test Status: HTTP request failed. Error code: "500". Error message: "Internal Server Error [http://host:port/AdapterFramework/rtc]"
I have a mail channel setup that is running on this Adapter Engine. I am able to monitor the channel on this Adapter Engine and the channel is collecting mails from the POP3 mailbox and delivering the message to the Integration server. However I am getting the error above.
Please can you assist to get this matter resolved.
    Many Thanks
    Regards
    Willie Hugo

    Hi,
This problem is still persisting. I have however not mentioned that we are running PI 7.10 and therefore there is no Visual Administrator only NWA. This was a new install. I have changed all the Host Names to use fully qualified domain names. This is the exchange profile and sxmb_adm, RZ70, sldapicust and in the RFC's user on the ABAP side. Also I have checked out the destinations on NWA and changed the Host Names the to fully qualified domain namesand also the SLD Data Supplier Configuration. I also changed the FQ D names on the JCO RFC Destinations. All well so far.
I however still has the same error on the Adapter Engine in the RWB. What I have notice though is where the error is displayed in the RWB then the Host Name is not FQ. Where can I correct this?
Also I have noticed when going into SXI_Cache > Goto > Adapter Engine Cache then there is no cache for the Adapter Engine.
I have changed the host name of the integration server on the SLD to FQ D names as well.
I think that I need to delete all the entries for this tech+business system and all the assosiations to it from the SLD and then re-register the whole PI to the SLD again, but is not sure how to do that again.
    Please can any one assist.
    Regards
    Willie

  • PI 7.11 Central Adapter Engine is not started

    Hi Experts,
After active objects list, in the central adapter engine: ache update not yet started.
Looking for this error, is possible that is the RFC INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI because responde 403 forbidden,
    Did you have any tips?
    Thank you!
    Bruno

Are you sure supplied credentials are valid for PIISUSER?
    1) HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag or Error 'HTTP status code 400 Bad Request' while executing HTTP request (calling method 'get_status')
The error 'HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag' occurs when path prefix of the destination is '/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext'.
The error 'Error 'HTTP status code 400 Bad Request' while executing HTTP request (calling method 'get_status')' when path prefix is '/dir/CacheRefresh'.
Solution: Go to transaction sm59 and open destination of type 'H' INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI. Select "Connection Test". The connection test should return HTTP response 200.
Now go to "Logon & Security" tab and ensure that username and password are stored in the system. Fixing credentials should fix the problem.
Note: Credentials cannot be tested via "Connection Test" tool. If used credentials are wrong, the server simply returns login html page (using HTTP response code 200). As the login html page is not a valid cache refresh xml document, an error is shown in sxi_cache.

  • Adapter Engine / Integration Server Problem

    Hi,
I'm new to SAP and I have some questions regarding my new PI 7.0 SP10 setup.
    Problem:
In Integration Directory, when I tried to define a communication channel, after specifying the "Adapter Type" (File in my case), I had to specify the "Adapter Engine" from a drop-down. But the dropdown list is empty!
    What I've done & Observations:
    1. I've recently imported the file "XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_06_00.tpz" (From the installation DVD). After importing, I've refreshed the SLD cache.
    2. SLDCHECK reveals that the connection to SLD is successful.

  • How to delete / cancel messages in PI adapter engine

    Hello expert,
we have a scenario File (EOIO) --> PI --> ABAP. Today the file we received is big (>100mb), apparently PI can't handle it, and we got error
Transmitting the message to endpoint http://host:port/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException:
Error transmitting the message over HTTP. Reason: java.io.IOException: Error writing to server.
seems like PI adapter engine got problem while delivering the huge message to ABAP integration engine. In RWB message monitoring, the message is set to Error. Unfortunately the file has been picked up many times, thus the huge message is stuck in adpater engine. In RWB message monitoring, I can see the message listed many times and status is HOLDING because the previous message can not be delivered to Intergration engine. I want to delete/cancel all the messages, I tried in RWB message monitoring to cancell the messages, however after cancelling one message, it crashed the PI system and cause a reboot.
My question is; Is there some place in NWA (net weaver admin) to force all the messages to be deleted? (Because deleting/cancel in RWB message monitoring does not work because it causes system crash).
    Thanks
