  • PI 7.0: Message prioritisation in adapter engine for SOAP adapter.

    Hi All,
    We have both high and low priority synchronous messages using the SOAP sender Channel of the Central AE.
    How can we make sure that High Prio messages ALWAYS get a thread right away when entering the AE? Installing a separate AE is not an option.
    When I look in RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Engine Status in the Queues tab, I see this:
    SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemCall Yes 5(5) 5
    SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemRqst Yes 5(5) 5
    When a new High Prio message enters, it can take more than one hour before it gets processed, because there are 1000 Low Prio messages also using the same 5 available Threads...
    This delay is of course unacceptable for High Prio messages.
    I checked in many other threads in SDN, looks like we cannot priortise for particular messages in PI 7.0, as we can do only at adapter level, not at interface level.
    I was thinking of going to the approach which was suggested by "Gr, Wout" in the below thread.
    xi prioritization in adapter engine (ae, af, adapter framework, java, jca)
    Creating own adapter "MYSOAP" by copying the metadata of SOAP adapter. By that we can use our own adapter "MYSOAP" for high priority interfaces.
    what you think guys about this approach?
    Is there any thing I need to take care going through this approach apart from copying SOAP metadata into my own adapter.?
    Thanks

  • Message split on adapter engine for the java based IDoc adapter

    Hi Guys,
    Do you know if message split on adapter engine is available for the java based IDoc adapter on the single stack (PI 7.31)?
    I'm getting such exception when I try to post 3 IDocs

    Mapping is one to many.
    Each IDoc content has been compared manually against the xsd schema and it was fine.

  • May I install a stand-alone Adapter engine for MI?

    I wonder if I can install a stand-alone Adapter engine (i.e. JAVA SE)  for MI?
    Points guaranteed. Thanks!

    Hi,
    no, that is not the usual way of handling data with MI.
    Well, MI exchanges data with the Middleware and the backend via SyncBO or Generic Sync. SyncBO is a data container that does the complete delta handling for example. The connection will be: XI receive data from an external system and stores that data in R/3. Then the SyncBO retrieves this data via GETLIST and GETDETAIL handlers and then the data comes down to the device with the next sync.
    BUT: the thing above is extremely drilled down - because of that it is only seen as a general answer. To discuss it more in depth, feel free to get in touch with me. The question I have in mind is till: what do you want to do with the XI connection.

  • ALERT not getting triggered for messages in error in adapter engine

    Hi All,
    I am doing the same scenario where I have created two Alert category Alert_cat1 and Alert_cat2, both are similar but one i have created for error in integration engine(Alert_cat1 ) and other for adapter engine(Alert_cat2).
    Now for Alert_cat1 i have created a rule and in the setting "where did the error occur" I have given no restriction.
    Now for Alert_cat2,as discussed in the above blog I have created many rule each for various adapter.
    I have tested it, above mentioned configuration is working for message mapping error (sxmb_moni)
    but not for any error in adapter engine for messages in waiting or system erroe status.
    Kindly suggest where I am going wrong.

  • URL for Central Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    It seems like our XI Server is unable to locate the Central adapter engine for doing an outbound RFC call. I am trying to call an RFC using the RFC adapter, and getting the following error:
      <SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText>no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:AdditionalText>
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>Error when reading the access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine af.nw4.netweaver</SAP:Stack>
    Where do we maintain the URL of the adapter engine ?
    thanks,
    Manish

    I have the same problem since we changed the name of the database server - the server name reported in the error is the old name.  I've checked all the properties in this thread, plus follwed through OSS note 764176 with no luck.  All the properties reflect the new name, but testing the proxy (SPROXY) still fails with the error:
    <CODE>INTERNAL.AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR</CODE>
      <ERRORTEXT>Error when reading the access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine af.xix.sapsbxcrmdb2</ERRORTEXT>
    sapsbxcrmdb2 is the old database server name.
    I found one location where this is displayed - in transaction SXI_CACHE (in the client of th integration server), Menu option GOTO -> Adapter Engine Cache.  The column 'Adapter Engine Name' reflects the incorrect name.  Where is this property stored?
    I cleared this entry manually by selecting the row and clicking on the trash can icon.  Later it was refreshed properly.
    -Mike
    Update:  I found that the SOAP Reciever channel in my Integration Scenario had a hard-coded entry pointing to the old integration server name in the property 'Adapter Engine'.  I changed this by selecting the 'Integration Server' in the drop down.  This changed the error behavior (still doesn't work, but the above errors went away).

  • CCMS monitoring for adapter engine

    Hi,
    We have configured CCMS monitoring for Adapter Engine for our client.
    In RZ20 im able to see the alerts come up,with the default data that the system provides.
    1. I need to send  a mail when the alert is triggerred, but if I try to set the autoreaction method, it is greyed out and I get a info saying that the adpter engine node cannot be changed.  How do I get over this?
    2. Incase im able to set the autoreaction method , I want to send additional information like communication channel name etc in the alert message. How can I change the text in the alert email?
    Thanks

  • Load balancing Central Advance Adapter Engine

    Hello All,
    I am trying to get more information on load balancing Central Advance Adapter Engine for SAP PI 7.1. How do I configure and load balance Advance Central Adapter Engine to handle more volume? Should I added extra non-central adapter engines to achieve this? If yes, How do I do this i.e. configuration etc? If not, then what is the best practice on load balancing the Central Advance Adapter Engine?
    Thank you for replying,
    Mayur

    Hi,
    I just post your Q&A here.
    Cheers,
    Aaron
    I have few follow up questions regarding your answers.
    1. For options 1 and 2, could you elaborate or point me some documentation on sap.help or somewhere else which talks more about these options?
       =========================================
       Basically you have more power with more processes (Instances or Server node) to process your messages in the Adapter Engine. That's the way to improve the system throughput.
       For more information, please refer to SAP PI tuning guide (I could not find the guide for 7.1, but the principle is still the same)
       https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000592892005E.PDF
      =========================================
    2. For option 3, add non central adapter engine and configure scenarios.
        1. So, do I have to run non-central adapters on separate servers?
       ====================
        Yes. It is recommended to run non-central adapter enging on separate server to minimize the reciprocal impact in terms of resource contention.
       ==============
        2. Do I need web dispatcher to do the load balancing between central and non-central adapter engine?
        ========
        No. this is also not possible since the below is true.
        =========
    I somehow think that if I am selecting the non-central adapter engine when creating the communication channel then it won't be "load balancing" because I will be sending a particular interface to the non-central engine at design time instead of runtime.
    Thank you for taking time and replying to my questions.

  • Message do not exists in adapter engine

    I have a message being sent to IE via JMS Adapter . In Communication channel monitoring i could see the message Id & error message(Error in converting Binary message)  but with that message id i could not find any entry in Message monitoring - > Adatpter Engine.  Moreover , In communication channel monitoring the id with which the message failed is not hyperlinked to "Message Display Tool (Detail Display) ".
    I need the message which is failed.
    Thanks ,
    Satish

    It may be possible that message came into error as soon as it was picked by the sender channel. Could you see some error for these messages in Communication channel monitoring? Another possibility is your message is persisted in the adapter engine for very short duration. In that case, if it is archived, you may select the Archive option in Message Monitoring instead of Database option.

  • Adapter engine Error not caught in alert rule &alert category

    Hi All,
      I  have cretaed my alert rule as follow.
    Conditions
          Connected To Message ; Not Relavant
           Sender Service   : *
           Sender Interface : Test_OB
           Sender NameSpace   :urn:abc.com
           Receiver party  : *
           Reciver Service:*
           Receiver Interface : *
           Receiver Namespace:*
    Where did the error occur
        No restriction.
    When i tested this alert rule, mails are getting triggered for Integration engine alerts. But when messages fails in adapter engine, i am not getting any alerts/mails at all. Why this happens?
    How should i debug this?

    Check this for troubleshooting: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide
    Also the alert should be raised in Adapter Engine for Test_OB as source interface.
    Uncheck Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule checkbox.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Adapter Engine: Performance Monitoring?

    Dear Experts
    I am assessing the PI 7.1 Advanced Adapter Engine and execute a Performance Test against a standard
    scenario using the Adapter Engine processing.
    I would like to understand and see the 'performance boost', mentioned by SAP, but I am not able to find
    a tool which gives me this view on performance (e.g. message processing time) in the Adapter Engine.
    The Runtime Workbench tab 'Performance Monitoring' seems to be limited to the ABAP Integration Server.
    Is there any settings I can use to get this view? Or is there any other metric which could be used to
    validate the actual performance improvement by the AAE?
    Thanks for you ideas.
    Mathias.

    Hi,
    You use the Advanced Adapter Engine to connect the Integration Engine to SAP systems (RFC adapter) and non-SAP systems. You use the various adapters in the Adapter Engine to convert XML- and HTTP-based messages to the specific protocol and format required by these systems, and the other way around.
    Using Integrated Configuration you can define a local Message Processing on the Advanced Adapter Engine. The Advanced Adapter Engine provides mapping and routing for this locally. Message Processing is only executed on the Advanced Adapter Engine from one adapter to another without the involvement of the Integration Engine. You can gain a great improvement in performance.
    You can implement all adapters on the Adapter Engine for a local Message Processing on the Advanced Adapter Engine, apart from the RNIF adapters and the CIDX adapters.
    If you do not use Integrated Configuration, Message Processing will always be performed by the Integration Engine to execute the routing and mapping there.
    The Advanced Adapter Engine is a separate software component that is automatically installed on the Integration Server. In this case, it is the central Advanced Adapter Engine. However, you can also install the Advanced Adapter Engine separately on another host. This is then a non-central Advanced Adapter Engine.
    Please reward points if it helps
    Thanks

  • How to change connection port between INTEGRATION SERVER and Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    I have scenario that in the productions server we are using SAP web dispatcher to connect to Adapter Engine for example the port is 60000.
    So when we copy this server to DR environment the webdispatcher is not there. is that any way to change the all connection port between IS and Adapter from 60000 back to original port 50000 ?
    Please advise ?

    HI,
    The waiting status is because of Message Queue is in wiating status. This may be because of overload of the messages, or may be your receiver systems is not ready  etc.
    SO go to SMQ2 and check the status of the queues.
    Also have a look into this blog-
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically
    <i>
    Why I can see this messages only in the integration server?</i>
    >>>If message reachs the Adapter engine, you can see in the Adapter monitor. In your case, message is still there in the Integration Engine. Once the queues are cleared it will reach the Adapter engine, so you can monitor it in the adapter engine

  • Decentralized Adapter Engine working

    Hi guys,
    I have installed a decentralized adapter engine for my XI Server. I have a scenario which i run with default Adapter Engine(Integration Server), runs fine.
    However, when i run it with choosing Decentralized AE it gives such errors in
    Message Monitoring:
    Exception caught by adapter framework: null
    Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: RecoverableException.
    Also i am testing this for two simple file2file scenarios. It's acting differently; in a scenario sender commn channel picks file, in other not.
    Is there any configuration settings that's remaining? Or something else?

  • Adapter Engine Archiving

    Hello guys,
    I am wondering how to set up background processing for the adapter engine correctly. I want to archive all XI messages passing the adapter engine. So I created a new archive job with no rules.
    Do I still need the default delete job set to be active? I think my archive job triggers the deletion of successfully archived messages implicitly. But I am not sure about the real behaviour. The documentation could be more comprehensive on this point.
    Thanks in advance
    Frank Opitz

    Hi frank
    You can archive messages in the Adapter Engine.
    You make the following entries:
    &#9679;      In Web AS Java
    For more information about archiving XML messages, see XML Data Archiving - Configuration Guide for J2EE Applications on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/instguidesNW04 → SAP NetWeaver → Installation → SAP WebAS → SAP WebAS 6.40.
    More information: Administration of the XML Data Archiving Service  (URL http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/b2fc3f48ecc742e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm)
    &#9679;      In the Adapter Engine
    For more information, see SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/instguidesnw04, Installation, SAP XI ® Configuration Guide - SAP XI 3.0, under Configuring Message Archiving for the Adapter Engine and the PCK.
    &#9679;      In the Runtime Workbench
    More information: Background Processing  ® Archiving.
    Delete Messages
    You can only delete messages in the Adapter Engine if they have the status FAILED or DELIVERED.
    To do this, you make specifications in the Runtime Workbench.

  • Outgoing messages failing in adapter engine

    Hi,
    I would like to know the cause of the following error which I frequently encounter in my Seeburger AS2 adapter engine for outgoing messages
    MIC not verified # MIC values not verified: QRP65LlObLvoGwZmMdIFpuXsvzA=-yqCovOQUkVWawfNVfSrXXaRRt8c=
    It appears only in the adapter engine and doesnt reflect as an error in RWB.
    We have already checked the certificate being used and found it to be valid.
    Would like to know the root cause of this.
    Thanks in advance

    MIC is the message digest sent by the receiver AS2 system as a part of MDN to acknowledge the status of sent message. This is used by sender for non-repudiation of sent message. This message indicates some problem in the message sent. The point of this verification is the at sender system. This is not exactly XI related problem.
    Found a similar problem in Seeburger guides but this is related to authentication failure
    Outbound: MIC not verified # authentication-failed, processing continued
    Cause:
    An incorrect signing certificate is being was used, but the trading partner continued with the
    processing, because it doesnu2019t matter, if the message is authenticated, or not.
    Solution:
    Check the signing certificate configuration.
