Adapter engine log on

how to log on to PI 7.1 EHP 1 Adapter engine /Advanced adapter engine?
Thank you.

Go to NWA-> Configuration->Infrastructure -> java system properties-> Start/stop java services - > java System properties
Click on the services Tab and search for "AF"  , you should fine XPI Service: AF Core  under Name.
Click on it and you can see the parameters you can change under adapter framework

  • ADAPTER in the Central Adapter Engine

    Hello
I have problem with my Adapter in the Central Adapter Engine. There are to adapter inside, a JMS and A JDBC. This two adpater have in the monitoring status green. But JMS adapter get no message in the system, and by the JDBC adapter the select is not getting Data, but the update make it the right update to the databank. Can somebody help or gives there a log on the system.
    Regards Thomas Neuhaus

    Hi Thomas,
I think you are using Message Monitoring transaction SXMB_MONI only.
    Central Adapter Engine log:
Start Runtime Workbench (i.e. http://<xi_host>:<j2ee_port>/rwb/index.jsp)-> Message Monitoring -> select Component af... -> Display -> select Period -> Start

  • Missing Audit Log of Adapter Engine in Message Monitoring

    Hi!
I've a problem with a fresh installed PI:
The Adapter Engine doesn't log anything in the Message Monitoring. The Integration Engine logs everything properly, but all entries from the adapter engine are missing. It looks like no message was processed by the AE, but in fact AE is processing the messages properly, only logging fails.
    What can cause this behaviour?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Agasthuri,
yes, maybe something gone wrong in the post install, I will ask the guy which did the installation of the PI. Therefore I didn't have the logon data for performing a cache refresh, but in the log entries it seems that this is working properly.
    Hi Praveen,
in Communication Channel Monitoring (In PI this is no longer found under Adapter Monitoring), I can see that the messages are delivered, but I can't see the Audit Log entries there.
I checked the MDT, but there are also no messages displayed.
End-to-End-Monitoring seems to be a good solution, but it seems that it is something configured wrong in this installation I will try to get the guy which cares for Basis to look after it.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

  • Unable to see audit log in Adapter Engine (Communication channel monitoring

  • How to delete / cancel messages in PI adapter engine

    Hello expert,
we have a scenario File (EOIO) --> PI --> ABAP. Today the file we received is big (>100mb), apparently PI can't handle it, and we got error
Transmitting the message to endpoint http://host:port/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException:
Error transmitting the message over HTTP. Reason: java.io.IOException: Error writing to server.
seems like PI adapter engine got problem while delivering the huge message to ABAP integration engine. In RWB message monitoring, the message is set to Error. Unfortunately the file has been picked up many times, thus the huge message is stuck in adpater engine. In RWB message monitoring, I can see the message listed many times and status is HOLDING because the previous message can not be delivered to Intergration engine. I want to delete/cancel all the messages, I tried in RWB message monitoring to cancell the messages, however after cancelling one message, it crashed the PI system and cause a reboot.
My question is; Is there some place in NWA (net weaver admin) to force all the messages to be deleted? (Because deleting/cancel in RWB message monitoring does not work because it causes system crash).
    Thanks
    Jayson

  • Adapter engine field blank in File Comm channel (Sender)

    Hi,
I am not getting any value in drop-down list of adapter engine in file adapter communication channel.System is allowing me to save the comm channel but when I am trying to create sender agreement, system is giving me following error
<b>Unable to find an associated SLD element (source element: SAP_XIIntegrationDirectory, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIIntegrationDirectory, string, Name, directory.s01., string], target element type: SAP_XIIntegrationServer)</b>
I m getting values of adapter engine when I select some other adpter like IDOC or RFC.
    Please help...

    Hi,
    1) Can you check your Post Installation.
    2) Look for SAP NOTES.
    3) Try cache refresh
       a)Start transaction SXI_CACHE.
b)From the context menu XI Runtime Cache select Start Complete Cache Refresh.
If you still face issue try this .
Many actions require to access System Landscape Directory content from the Integration Builder. To optimize performance, this content is loaded into a cache so that the System Landscape Directory does not have to be accessed directly each time that System Landscape Directory content is required.
However, this cache is not automatically updated if changes are made to the content of the System Landscape Directory. For this reason that we delete the System Landscape Directory cache if changes have been made to content in the System Landscape Directory. The cache is then filled each time that the System Landscape Directory is accessed. If we log on to the Integration Builder after we have made a change in the SLD, we do not need to delete the SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment ® Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.

  • Unable to start the plain J2SE Adapter Engine

    Hi All,
Eariler i was able to start the Adapter Engine. But i dont know what went wrong, i am not able to start the adapter engine. Is there any way to find out what went wrong?

Make sure you have write permissions to your log files and that you have permissions to start the Engine.
Also check your JAVA_HOME path by typing set in windows and env in unix systems.Make sure it points to your java installation directory lib and bin files.
Your ADAPTER_HOME should also contain all jars required or the absolute path to these jars need to be defined in your run_adapter_*. Not to sure if you are running windows or a unix box.

  • J2RE + Windows + J2SE Adapter Engine = Dump Xmx128m

    Hi,
I want to use a decentralized J2SE Adapter Engine in order to data to XI.
When I install it on a Windows 2000 Professional, AE running is good and all are perfect... But when I install it on a Windows Server 2003, I have the following dump when I use the file "run_adapter.bat":
    "-Xmx128m: illegal argument"
Here is the instruction when my tool uses for its running :
    java -Xmx128m -classpath aii_msg_adapter.jar;aii_msg_runtime.jar;httpclient.jar;aii_af_trace.jar;aii_rfcadapter.jar;pmi.jar;exception.jar;jperflib.jar;guidgenerator.jar;aii_utilxi_misc.jar;aii_util_cimaccess.jar;sapxmltoolkit.jar;logging.jar;lcrclient.jar;tc_sec_core.jar;tc_sec_api.jar;jms.jar;servlet.jar;jarm.jar;%CLASSPATH%; com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.AdapterImpl
    Notes:
    1. J2RE is j2re-1_4_2_06-windows-i586-p.exe)
    2. I have replace 128 by 256 or 512, but it's the same issue.
    So,
    1. Anybody could explain why I have that with Windows Server 2003 ?
    2. is it a problem with a Java Virtual Machine ?
    3. Must I do something inside Windows : Environment variable, register key or other ?
    Any helps are welcome.

No. (neither PATH or JAVA_HOME, or J2EE_HOME)
What folder must I precise in this variable :
    C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_06\javaws ?
    or
    C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_06\bin  ?

  • J2SE adapter engine and SSL testing

    Hi there,
We are currently doing a B2B scenario whereby SAP XI sends a message to the J2SE adapter engine in the DMZ and then that sends the message via HTTPS / SSL to the receiving service....
In order to test that the HTTPS / certificate etc worked I wrote a small Java application and dialled out of the network. I inserted the DER file into my CACERTS file on my local machine using the keytool as a "trusted certificate". The Java application worked 100% and did the SSL handshake fine and POSTED the data fine as well......
Now I am no expert in the J2SE adapter engine but decided to try testing the same SSL connection using the J2SE adapter engine from my LOCAL machine with me dialled out onto the Internet.
I logged into the J2SE adapter engine and imported the same DER file into the engine  (actually inserted into the "truststore.jks" file). I them went into the "Test Environment" of the J2SE adapter and have been trying to test.....
    I have a few questions:
    1. Do I have to use a P12 or PFX file for this sort of communication? Reason I ask is that with the Java application all I needed was the DER file?
    2. In the full blown scenario do I have to have SSL configured between XI and the J2SE adapter engine as well? Or can that stay as HTTP?
My basic config for the test is roughly:
    WS.targetURL=https://someserver:4433/soap/someInbox
    WS.SOAPAction=CustomSoapAction
    SSLauthentication=true
Do I really need the following two?
    SSLcertificate=somecert.p12
    SSLcertificatePassword=somepassword
From my logic all I should need if the DER file loaded into the J2SE adapter which I have done......
Has anyone done successfull SSL / HTTPS testing from the J2SE adapter engine using the "Test Environment"?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
    Kind regards
    Lynton

    Hi
Not a answer to your question but why use the J2SE adapter engine in the DMZ and why not the J2EE Decentral Adapter Engine?

  • J2SE adapter engine monitoring.

    Hi,
I have setup GRMG monitoring for a J2SE adapter engine in our landscape. I have set up a HTTP RFC destination in SM59. In the HTTP RFC destination, type H, I have specified the "Target Host" (FQHN) the "Service No." (8200 default J2SE installation port) and a "Path Prefix" (/rtc). The security is set to Basic and I have used a PIRWBUSER that I have setup on the J2SE Adapter Engine with role Administator. In the GRMG template I insert the RFC destination.
I have also inserted the ID, ESR, RWB, SLD and the Central Adapter framework of the PI system in the GRMG template, then deployed the template on the monitoring server. I am able to successfully monitor the other components except for the J2SE adapter.
I have to concede that when I test the RFC destination to the J2SE adapter it does not work. I think the J2SE adapter is up, as I can connect to the administrator. Even when I put the url ("host:port/rtc") for the J2SE adapter in my browser, it then request to login. After I have logged in, it gives a error "The Page can not be found".
It would be most appreciated if someone can shed some light on this issue.
    Regards
    Willie Hugo

    FTS SAP Basis,
Thanks for that advice. However once I have set the "Accept cookies" to "Yes", and once again I do a "Connection Test", the result I get "ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED". Also remember when I try to connect to the URL "http://host:8200/rtc", it requests a login, but then display "The page can not be displayed".
    Any other suggestions are welcome.

  • SOAP adapter: port, logging/tracing, http/https

    Hi,
    several questions concerning SOAP adapter:
    SAP XI 3.0 SP19 used.
    <b>Scenario 1:</b>
    SOAP request adressing J2EE port
    http://host:8000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=Partner:Service:SOAPSenderChannel
    <b>Scenario 2:</b>
    SOAP request adressing ABAP port
    http://host:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=Partner:Service:SOAPSenderChannel
    <b>Question 1:</b>
What happens with a SOAP request adressed to the ABAP port?
Obviously it is forwarded to the J2EE port but where is this forwarding function documented
and is it allowed in every case to send SOAP messages to ABAP port?
    <b>Question 2:</b>
What logging and tracing functionalities do i have in both scenarios before the message enters (before RWB)?
E.g. where can i see unsuccessful requests (e.g. if there is mistyping in SenderChannel).
Then it not visible in Runtime Workbench but whereelse?
If the ABAP port is adressed i see something in SMICM trace file, but very cryptic and not conclusive.
Do you know further trace/log files for both scenarios (Visual Admin?) ?
    <b>Question 3:</b>
What is the difference if https is used concerning logs and traces?
Do i have more or less possibilities?
Thank you very much in advance for comments.
    Michael

    Hi
The URL sent to the ABAP port and the J2EE port are different.
The URL to the ABAP port is documented in this blog by Stefan,
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/21/using-the-soap-inbound-channel-of-the-integration-engine
    http://<server>:<ABAP-port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<YourService>&Interface=<YourNamespace>%5E<YourInterface>
Answering question 1 --> As the URL are different, the Request in case of the ABAP stack hits the Integration Engine directly - into the pipeline of XI and bypassed the Adapter Engine competely.
As stefan's blog states - you cannot post multipart SOAP request to the IE directly.
Question 2  - If the URL is incorrect, if the request hits XI then you will have the log in XI  ( in MONI in case of ABAP port ) and in RWB -Message Monitroing ( in case of J2EE port)

  • How to get Payload of SOAP Message in Advance Adapter Engine

    HI All,
I am wondering if anybody can tell me how to view the Payload of SOAP Sender and Receiver Message in Advance Adapter Engine?
Does Anybody know how to check mapping payload in Advance Adapter Engine because in ABAP you can see the mapping payload under Request Message Mapping but when you use AAE you can't see the Request Message Mapping Payload.
I have a SOAP to RFC Scenario in which I can't see the SOAP Sender and RFC Receiver Mapping Payload.
When I am sending incorrect data to an RFC I am getting this error which is very strange and new to me.
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Unable to split a synchronous message
Any comments would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Iqbal

    HI All,
I have managed to find Michal's Blog which is talking about getting the mapping payload but unfortunately I don't know how to create Adapter Module so I am wondering if somebody can please provide me EAR file so that I will request the Basis guys to deploy the code and hopefully this will solve my query.

As you all probably know while using local Advanced Adapter Engine (AAE) processing in SAP PI 7.1 the message is logged only once (during processing by sender adapter). This is great in terms of performance but what if we need to check the mapping output? Is there a way do do it somehow? It turns out that we don't have such an option in standard yet. Is there any alternative then?
It turns out there is - a simplest adapter module there is...
Local AAE works in such a way that from the sender adapter it executes the receiver adapter so in the outbound message to PI processing you can see the adapter info logs of the receiver adapter and this is what we can use. The idea is to add an adapter module to the receiver adapter which will put the content of the message into the audit log of PI message processing. We can do it by writing a few lines of code:
PI/XI: target message logging with local AAE not possible ? not anymore...

  • Delay of Message in the Adapter Engine when put into queue

    Hi XI/PI Experts,
We are having problems in the Adapter Engine wherein messages are staying longer in the AE queue as usual.  Sometimes, it stays longer in Delivering status also.  Is there any way we can monitor and try to push the message out of AE to avoid delays?  I know we can do this in the ABAP side (Integration Engine)...but how can we do this in the Adapter Engine?
See below sample logs in AE RWB:
2008-07-17 13:28:13 Success Using connection SOAP*****. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
2008-07-17 13:28:13 Success Message successfully put into the queue.
2008-07-17 13:34:12 Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
2008-07-17 13:34:12 Success The message status set to DLNG.
As you can see there is a gap of 4 minutes.
Hope you can help me.  Thank you so much in advance.
    Grace

    Hi.
Thanks for your answers but the messages are not set into EOIO but just EO.  So the messages are not ending up in Holding Status.
I also believe that issue is not occurring because of too many messages in error in AE nor because of the receiving system is down.  Issue is happening when message is about to be sent to the SOAP communication channel in AE.  As you can see in the sample log I provided above, in RWB AE, after the message was put into queue, it took several minutes to be delivered to corresponding comm channel.  My questions are:
    1.  Is there a way we can monitor the queue in AE like the way we monitor the queue in IE? (e.g. smq1 and smq2 transactions) .
    2.  If there is a way, how are we going to intervene manually on the queues in AE?  (we can intervene with smq1 and smq2 in IE)
    3.  For messages with Delivering Status in AE, sometimes it is taking hours to move to "Successful/Delivered" Status.  Is there a way we can intervene with that?  I believe we can resend messages with "System Error" Status and Staus "To be Delivered" but for status "Delivering"...it is not possible (from what I know -- I hope there is a way).
I look forward to hearing from you guys/gals.

    Dear Subramanyam,
Some message might be struck in the queue. Because of this reason furthur processing is not performed on time.
Please try to do like this:
Go to SXMB_MONI, or SXi_monitor, select QueueID in the row, which is showing green flag. In the next window belongs to queue select the queue and press unlock button on the panel.
This could possibly release the queue which is struck.
    Best Regards
    Praveen
