Adapter framework failing to send message

Hi,
I am facing an issue in XI, where the adapter framework is getting failed to send the message. The message is also not getting reflected in SXMB_MONI,
"Transmitting the message to endpoint http://server:8080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 404 : Not found."
No service using the ICM port 8080 is working though active. No XI service, even the ping service in sap/bc/ping is not working.
I have checked the following:
1) SLDCHECK (browser opening properly). In ABAP part i am getting error
Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain
Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window.
=> Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!
Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
Retrieving data from the SLD server...
Function call returned exception code 3
=> Check whether the SLD is running!
Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
=> Check SLD function and configurations

Still the problem persists while calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEM
2) Then i checked the ping (path - http://server:8080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry ) -- its also not running and showing error :
Service cannot be reached with error code 404 not found.
3) The RFC XIINTEGRATION_SERVER is showing also showing error 404.
4) Checked ICM port - its 8080
Inspite of working hard over this issue, still unable to resolve this issue.
Please help me. Awaiting for your helping suggestions

A phone reset or going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings resolves the issue.
iOS7.0.3 will be available next week that resolves this issue.

'Failed to send message' on 6303 using PC Suite

I recently got a 6303 and I get a 'Failed to send message' when I try and send a message using PC Suite. I think there is some configuration issue since I can't see any texts in my Inbox either.
I've looked at discussion boards and tried the following with no luck
1. Ensure phone firmware is up-to-date. It is Rm-443 v 8.90
2. Re-installed latest version of PC Suite (7.1.40.1) after running PC Suite Cleaner
3. Checked my message settings on the phone - can't see anything that would help
i've looked at Ovi Suite too and can't send texts using that either.
the phone sync's fine with Outlook. Any ideas on what I can try?

Hello there
Had a problem with the above about a month ago and had remote techies on m y PC for several hours over two days trying to fix it. They said it was my PC but in the end it was a yahoo server problem. It's happened again! However, this time I can receive and send emails but not more than one recipient whereas last time I couldn't send at all.
I don't have the time or energy to do it all again but, because I work from home, not being able to send emails to several recipients at the same time is a right pain.
Does anyone from BT/Yahoo know how to fix this without by wasting a whole day with a techie?

Login Failed when sending messages

Whenever I try to send a message with thunderbird, I get the error "Login to server smtp.googlemail.com failed." I've tried both ports listed by the gmail help article. Connection security is set to SSL/TLS, authentication: normal password, and username is my full email address.
I can receive emails just fine, but I can't send any. I have 2-step authentication turned on and have generated an app password for thunderbird. How do I fix this?

The issue resolved itself after about 8 hours, so evidently this was a server-side problem at Apple which only affected one of my iCloud addresses. Throughout the issue the Status report for the iCloud Server reported no problems: Apple needs to provide more accurate information on its server status.

Why am I getting a Failed to send message when trying to send a photo to another mobile not necessarily an iphone.

Is it because of the size of the photo or the type of mobile phone I am trying to send it to?

It could be because you have cellular data turned off. You can turn it back on in Settings

Did this ever get resolved, as I am having the same issue. Trying to learn LR5 AFTER a decade using Aperture. I was able to set up a validated account but when I try to send an e-mail or photo I get the simple " Failed to Send " message. Using latest version of Mac OS X.

i am working on a scenario for Supplier Managed Inventory
Process flow for initial data transfer is from R/3 (IDoc)>XI(XML)>SCM(XML)
We are using sap standard mappings to perform the conversion to XML. SXMB_MONI in XI shows "processed successfully" but getting error in runtime workbench in message monitoring of component 'adapter engine'. the error log is showing:

I am sending Product Activity Notification Idoc PROACT01. what adapter should i use. I tried using HTTP and XI adapter and it is not working. now i am trying RFC adapter and standard mappings from SCM Content , but getting this error. How can I troubleshoot this?

Hello Tamoghna,
If I've understood your scenario well, you should be using the IDoc Adapter. Assuming that you have an IDoc from the sending system, you need not do any XML conversion. This will avoid any XML related errors.
The error appears to be connection related. Please check that your Target system connection properties are defined in XI (TCode SM59). Also make sure the ALE name in the SLD is correct.

My scenario is based file -->RFC with BPM (parforEach) and multimapping.
File adapter is picking data according to input file, but RFC couldn't able to process each split data. I am gettign following error.

Error when sending message: 404 not found

Hi,
New to XI, practicing file to jdbc scenario. File is pickedup from the source folder but nothing appearing on the receiver end ms access database.
In the Component Monitoring, tried sending message manually with all the right info in Integration engine, getting an error message saying:
"Error when sending message : 404 not found"
Also tried in Adapter Engine and the result same.
Before doing this scenario, I tried file - file scenario then also the sender file pickedup from source folder but nothing happend at the receiver end.
Any idea's?? what might be the issue????

Hi Venu,
"404 is a not found error", plz make a check of your URL you're using is correct? do you use the right port? Normally the port is 80<SystemNo>, so rather 8001 than 7001.
Also check in transaction SICF, if the node /sap/xi/adapter_plain has been activated, if not, activate it and try again.
If you are testing sending the message to the Adapter Engine, then the Send Message URL should be like this:
http://<server>:<J2EEport>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
For your error, refer to the following threads:

Unable to refresh cache contents in XI.
Unable to find an associated SLD element
Also check that the Adapter Engine is successfully registered in the SLD. To do this, call the Content Maintenance function in the SLD as follows:
http://<sld-host>:<sld-j2ee-port>/sld u2192 Administration u2192 Content Maintenance.
Select XI Adapter Framework.
Thirteen associations have to be registered.

If you can't find all the associations, then you will have to create the associations manually.

Mail on mac OS 10.7.4 V5.2 1278 fails on send

The Mail Client on Mac OS 10.7.4 V5.2 1278 fails on send messages. The compsoe window reappears immediately after Send is selected. The mail message ends up in the outbox. This worked prior to may 1st. Some update has broken it. Please advise.

Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.

You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
Server name: imap.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
Port: 993
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
Port: 587
SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to http://appleid.apple.com then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.
