Adapter Framework receiving port

Hello,
We have a restriction for receiving messages so that we can only use a certain port (5443). The adapters of the AF normally listen on the default port of the J2EE server (50000). Is it possible to register an additional port for receiving messages via the AF?
Does anybody have an solution for that?
Cheers,
Jürgen

Hi Jürgen,
you can assign more than one port to the http protocol. Start the Visual Administrator and select Dispatcher - Services - HTTP Provider. On the Properties Tab you'll find the Key Ports. The default value is
(Port:501,Type:https).
Simply append (Port:5443,Type:http) to the value, save and restart the HTTP Provider service.
Your J2EE Engine is available via http on port 5443, too.
See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5b/82d3c3ee9691418e6b0281f933a37d/frameset.htm.
Kind regards,

  • Using XML String in the Scheduler Adapter in the Receive port

    I have a requirement where I have to query the view in the Oracle database,and the View is like this
    EmpNumber | Name | TermDate
    E001 | ABC | (null)
    E002 | DEF | 13-DEC-14
    E003 | GHI | (null)
    E004 | JKL | 11-NOV-14
    E005 | MNO | (null)
    E005 | PQR | 10-DEC-14
    I am going to use the Scheduler adapter in the receive port.It should select the Records with the TermDate null and TermDate 7days ago from today. So here is how I want the selected records to be
    EmpNumber | Name | TermDate
    E001 | ABC | (null)
    E002 | DEF | 13-DEC-14
    E003 | GHI | (null)
    E005 | MNO | (null)
    In the other forum I found the sql command to do this is,
    select * from EMP where TERMDATE is null or TERMDATE >= trunc(sysdate) - 7;
    But I am not sure if the XML String in the Scheduler Adapter is correct
    <ns0:Select xmlns:ns0="http://Microsoft.LobServices.OracleDB/2007/03/View/EMP"><ns0:COLUMN_NAMES>*</ns0:COLUMN_NAMES><ns0:FILTER>TERMDATE IN ('null','TERMDATE >= trunc(sysdate) - 7')</ns0:FILTER></ns0:Select>
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Thanks Suleiman.
    I am using the WCF-Custom Adapter to get the data from the Oracle database. And I am using the Scheduler adapter because to get data on a daily basis.In one of our other application we have used the query statement in the Scheduler adapter
    Like,
    <ns0:Select xmlns:ns0="http://Microsoft.LobServices.OracleDB/2007/03/View/VW_EMP_DEPT"><ns0:COLUMN_NAMES>*</ns0:COLUMN_NAMES><ns0:FILTER>PROCESS IN ('A','B','C')</ns0:FILTER></ns0:Select>
    and it works really fine, it just select the records with the Process A or B or C. I dont know how can I select now with respect to data that is 7 days ago from today.Help me with it.

  • Exception caught by adapter framework: RfcAdapter: receiver channel not in

    Hi friends,
    I am  doing a file-RFC-file scenario. This is based on the blog: /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit The company ID is sent to the RFC through a xml file. RFC will return the company details which will be written again into a xml file.
    My source file is getting picked up. But while sending the company ID to the RFC, i am getting an error. It says: <b>Exception caught by adapter framework: RfcAdapter: receiver channel not in list of running clientPools:</b>. I have checked the RFC and is running perfectly.
    Can anybody help me to solve this error?
    Regards,
    Divija.

    Hi,
    it is better to restart the RFC adapter engine.
    Is this RFC adapter is active in the Adapter Monitoring ?
    Also change the RFC adapter configuration and activate it. Then activate the Receiver Agreement.
    Also refer SAP note -730870 ( question  no 17 and 20)

  • Exception caught by adapter framework: unable to create a socket

    Hi All,
          I am using Idoc to XI To SOAP scinario. I got a alert asying that some messsage id is error. When i am trying to monitor that massage by taking help of the messgae id in the alert the message was successful in the SXMB_MONI,. Then i Went to message monitoring There the message statu was syetem error. Errror log is *Exception caught by adapter framework: unable to create a socket*. The communication channel was inactive wehere as the statsu of the channel was active in the directory... what is the reasonm for this error. and how to resilev this.

    As pointed already, a socket exception occurs when then message cannot pass the Firewall settings....there will be a port configured to send message to the SOAP receiver.....ask network guys to make relevant settings so that the port is free from Firewall restrictions.
    @Supriya --> Active/ Inactive status of the channel in ID and in CC monitoring are different things.
    To change the status of your CC in RWB --> Stop & Start your SOAP CC....the channel will remain inactive till no message is passed through it....once a message is passed the status will change to success/ error.
    You can also change the CC status to Automatic.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • RFC Adapter error - http port configuration

    Hi everyone,
    on XI 3.0 I have some problems to invoke RFC functions located on a SAP SRM system.
    No logs are displayed on the XI Monitor: the message is stopped at the "adapter" level.
    It seems that RFC adapter tries to connect to a wrong URL (the Production system URL)and obviously it retrieves these messages:
    "Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE ErrorText: ErrorStack: No receiver could be determined "
    "Returning synchronous error notification to calling application: XIServer:NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE:."
    "Transmitting the message using connection http://YYY.sap.xxxx:8066/sap/xi/engine?type=entry failed, due to: XIServer:NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE:."
    In the SLD, the right port for Development system is 8064, the adapter is also  configured on business landscape YYY and port 8064. I checked both J2EE visual administrator and Business Landscape customizing without success.
    But at runtime the adapter framework point to another system on 8066 http port (and the interface call fails).
    My question is: where is this wrong URL configured and from where exactly does it take these wrong informations?
    Please, help me.
    Alessandro Pozzozengaro.

    Alessandro,
    There is a very good document on SAP that explains, step-by-step what you are trying to do.
    The name of the document is: 'Validating a Connection Between SAP R/3 and SAP XI with RFC'.
    Give a look on that. I used it to build the scenario here and it works fine.

    Tadeu

  • Adapter framework failing to send message

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue in XI, where the adapter framework is getting failed to send the message. The message is also not getting reflected in SXMB_MONI,
    "Transmitting the message to endpoint http://server:8080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 404 : Not found."
    No service using the ICM port 8080 is working though active. No XI service, even the ping service in sap/bc/ping is not working.
    I have checked the following:
    1) SLDCHECK (browser opening properly). In ABAP part i am getting error
    Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain
    Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window.
    => Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    Still the problem persists while calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEM
    2) Then i checked the ping (path - http://server:8080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry ) -- its also not running and showing error :
    Service cannot be reached  with error code 404 not found.
    3) The RFC XIINTEGRATION_SERVER is showing also showing error 404.
    4) Checked ICM port - its 8080
    Inspite of working hard over this issue, still unable to resolve this issue.
    Please help me. Awaiting for your helping suggestions
    Thanks in advance..

  • JMS Adapter Fail - Receiver channel. Details: Receive timed out

    Its an IDOC to JMS scenario. IDOC gets processed through the pipeline in XI successfully, can see the checkered flag.
    However in Adapter monitoring, JMS adapter is in red.
    The error text against the Communication Channel is "Receiver channel. Details: Receive timed out".
    I am trying to connect to the JMS queue provided by a third party on port 1100 ( as configured in JMS adapter).My initial analysis is to check if the port is open on the third party's firewall( Need to get the response back from them yet).
    However i would like to know, if there is something else that i should look into?

    Following are the error messages in RWB audit log for the message sent.
    Exception caught by adapter framework: The JMS channel with channel ID 3f307d6854683859b39f978a43e88872 is errornous. Details:Receive timed out
    Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: The JMS channel with channel ID 3f307d6854683859b39f978a43e88872 is errornous. Details:Receive timed out.
    what might be the problem?

  • PI 7.11: Adapter Framework caught exception: null

    Hi,
    I've a ABAP Proxy - to  - SOAP scenario.
    Message mapping works.
    In the communication channel monitor I get the following error:
    MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException
    Adapter Framework caught exception: null
    In the log viewer in NWA I see the following two messages:
    Marked transaction for rollback for meesage 516e304f-b083-8e3e-e100-00000a01095f(INBOUND). Reason: <null>

    The payload for calling SOAP receiver looks like that:
    <m:setEmployee xmlns:m="http://test.com" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">
             <ns1:e xmlns:ns1="http://test.com">

                <position>123</position>
             </ns1:e>
          </m:setEmployee>
    When I copy this payload into SOAP UI (surrounded by <soapenv:Envelope>, <soapenv:Header> and <soapenv:Body>), the WS call works.
    The URL for the receiving CC should be ok (same as in SOAP UI), the "Do not use SOAP Envelope" checkbox is not flagged.
    What can be the reason for that error message?
    Thanks in advance!

    I've now changed the setting of the external definition to "Using RPC style", but I'm still running into the same error than before:

              <employee_Category>PERM</employee_Category>
              <employee_Code>1000</employee_Code>

              <last_Name>B</last_Name>
              <location>ABC</location>
              <position>123</position>
         </ns1:e>
    </m:setEmployee>
    If I copy that payload (without <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>) into SOAPUI (surrounded by SOAP envelope), the WS call works without any problem.
    Why doesn't it work from PI?
    Another question:
    Why is it putting <ns1:e> into the payload of the new interface and <ns0:e> for the existing interface (which is working, see Re: PI 7.11: Adapter Framework caught exception: null)?
    Could that be the reason why data is not sent properly to the SOAP receiver?

  • IDOC ( WS-- XI -- R/3) Receiver Port

    Hello i am having issues with IDOC post on R/3 via XI. The issue is with receiver port. I am populating values of Message variant and message function in Mapping and nothing else were populated.
    As per SAP documentation RCVPOR variable will be populated from receiver adapter whether "Apply control record from payload is checked or not".
    This value RCVPOR is being populated  control record of idoc when "Apply control record from payload" is unchecked . when its checked its not . please comment

    Hi Bujji,
    did you see the RCVPOR in your payload?? if yes then select all the three check boxes in adapter refers to payload.
    basically there are two ways to send Receiver and Sender details to R/3, one is from payload and the other is from configuration.
    if you check the "Apply Control record from payload"
    along with this you shd check "Take Sender from payload" and "Take Reciever from payload". then it should work.
    if you uncheck Apply control record from payload then it will take these details from SLD. Make sure that these are given there.

    Sukarna

    Hi,
    Go to the runtime workbench --> Message Monitoring --> Click on the 'Configure Table Columns' > Check Sequence ID, Serialization Context & Sequential Number options.> and then click 'Apply'.
    Then in the 'Serialization Context' column you will get the queue ID for the stcuk message.
    Take that value and click on the 'Show additional Criteria' option on the top and put this value in the 'Serialization context' parameter. Also,select the start/end date as 'This year' --> start.
    You will get all the messages stuck in that particular queue for this yoear, try to rectify them, so that your message will be processed.
    -Supriya.

    Hi
    My scenario is based file -->RFC with BPM (parforEach) and multimapping.

    Hi..
    Does this way i mapped file to BAPI, is this correct way ?
    does we change the BAPi structure like this in target side?
    Source Structure:  TargetStructure
    Messages (1:1)    Message(1:1)
    Message1(1:1)      Message1(1:1)
    MT_Request(1:1)
    Recordset(0:U) --> BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE(0:U)
    HDR (0:1)           HeaderData(1:1)
      LINEITEM(0:U)
       field1(0:1) --->     filed1(0:1)
                           field2(0:2)
                HDR--->GLACCOUNTDATA(0:1)
      LINEITEM(0:U)---> item(0:U)
    field3(0:1) --->         field(0:1)
    field4(0:1) --->         field2(0:1)
    and my BPM is :
    Receive>Transfromation->Block with asyncSEND--->
    Receiver      : File_MI
    Trasformation: IM, sorec: File_AI and tar: BApi_AI
    Block -->parForeach, multi: BAPI_AI, curr: BAPI_AI
    asyncSend-->BAPi_AI
    <b>Note: My input file should have various headers with associated line items...!</b>

  • Adapter Framework caught exception - 401

    Hi,
      I am trying to use NTLM authentication using Axis adapter in PI 7.1 SP7 but getting 401 error.
      Axis adapter works for Basic auth.
      SAP Note 856597 talks about giving PI user security role xi_adapter_soap_message. Haven't found the equivalent navigation of visual admin in NWA.
    Details from message monitoring
    Information Axis: getting handler trp of java:com.sap.aii.adapter.axis.ra.transport.http.HTTPSender
    Error Axis: error in invocation: (401)Unauthorized
    Error Adapter Framework caught exception: (401)Unauthorized
    Error Delivering the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: (401)Unauthorized.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kiran Gollapudi

    Hi guys,
    Even the message being old, there are some of you that may want a hint on how to solve this problem.
    First of all, please refer to the generic description of the error that may help one of you:
    401 Unauthorized
    Description: The request requires user authentication
    Possible Tips:
    u2022 Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
    u2022 If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>
    u2022 If the error is in Adapter Engine
    u2013then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.
    u2022 May be wrong password for user XIISUSER
    u2022 May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER
    u2013 for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message
    Alternatively, ensure you maintain the correct password for all the service users according to one of the notes
    below, taking into account your system version:
    PI 7.1:
    #999962 - PI 7.10: Change passwords of PI service users
    XI 7.0
    #936093 - XI 7.0: Changing the passwords of XI service users
    XI 3.0
    #721548 - XI 3.0: Changing the passwords of the XI service users
    Hope I could helped.
