Adapter to use zen m with ipod accessori

Do not under any circumstances physicly modify an iPod conection so that it will fit the Vision:m.
As stated above the pin outs are completly different and plugging an iPod lead into a vision:m will fry the vision:m
However it shold be technicly possible to make an adaptor lead that will suply the correct volatges etc to the vision:m from an ipod interface.

WHow long have you left it to charge? Have you tried resetting it after a short period of time to see if that can help jumpstart the charging process? To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Zen Sleek Photo - Compatible with iPod accessories

I can't seem to find the accessories for my Zen Sleek Photo that I've had for a couple of years. I didn't jump on the iPod band wagon because I didn't care for iTunes. My main question is that are the iPod accessories compatible with my Zen Sleek Photo I'm looking for a docking system with speakers for my Zen Sleek Photo.

Adapter that used to work with Gen 1 no longer works with Gen 6 nano

Here's my problem
I had nano gen 1 2Gb I had no use for (a gift) and now I I restore radios I git to use it to trasmit music via adapter I have bought 2 weeks ago, which plugs into the Apple interface slot and outputs USB and L/R audio.

It worked just fine with Gen 1.
Then someone alerted me to that recall program and it got exchanged for Gen 6 a week ago.
When I plugged the adapter in it displayed "unrecognized device" but as I was playing FM radio it worked.
Then I used iTunes (latest) to convert some CDs, downloaded them into the iPod, started playing.....it playes for a few second, then makes the "wrong answer" sound (you know, that "errrrrrrrrrr!") and then keeps playing, and this happens every few seconds.
I thought first my disk import went bad as my computer is old and slow.
So I first played the imported disks on my computer, which worked fine, and then I played the iPod with just phones, expecting to hear that "errrrrrrrrrrr!" - nope, playes fine.
Then I plugged in the adapter (I only plugged it into iPod, the other end stayed unplugged) - and there it came again.
So, somehow the adapter that worked finr with gen 1 is no longer good.
Had I known that I would never exchanged it - 2GB is plenty of space, and the chance of that battery going up in flames are small.
Any ideas, anyone?

Is the ipod nano compatible with other ipod accessories? Will it work with my Bose speaker system built for the ipod? Will the car charger and battery backups that I have purchased for my ipods work with the nano? thanks

That backing up your iTunes library, not your iPod. You can backup up your library by:

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. In this mode you just drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:

Note: When changing from automatic to manual, check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. "Don't" uncheck Sync Music in the Music tab, it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting, if you uncheck it without setting the iPod to manual first you'll erase all the songs from your iPod
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on your desktop or check this link: Safely Disconnect IPod

Is is possible to have the time set on an iPod touch via a time server? Alternatively, to synch the time on the iPod with the time on a computer you use to synch the iPod?

Yes, if you move the iTunes Media Folder to the Time Capsule.
But.....if you move the iTune Media Folder to the Time Capsule.....how are you planning to back up this important data?
(You will lose everything in the Media Folder when.....not if....the Time Capsule has a problem and you do not have a backup copy.)
A much safer plan would be to keep the iTunes Media Folder on your Mac.....or add another hard drive connected to the Mac and move the Media Folder to that drive.
Then Time Machine will backup both your Mac and and hard drive. So, you have "originals" on one drive and backups on another.

Help: Problem using Zen Micro with Yahoo Unlimited Music Serv

I get a "Error reading device contents: The Data is Invalid" message when I try to synchronize my Zen Micro with the Yahoo music engine. When I first connect my Zen via usb, the Yahoo engine recognizes the Zen Micro but it is unable to read the contents of the Zen prior to my synchronizing. After trying to read my Zen for a while, I get the pop up message described above. I am using version 2..02 zen firmware and version .0..4 of the Yahoo engine.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Does the Zen Micro actually work with the Yahoo service?

Cannot get Bluetooth adapter on PC to sync with Ipod Touch Keep getting no driver installed message. Adapter works with other bluetooth devices, help please

I cannot get my iPod Touch to sunc with my Bluetooth adapter. The adapteer works with other BT devices. I received a message stating "no device driver installed" I am presuming the message is associated witht eh iPod. Any help or ideas appreciated.

The BT profiles on the iPod do not allow pairing with a computer. See:

Using audio cable with iPod

When I got my iPod, I bought a kit of accessories that included an AV cable, and audio only cable, etc. Since I have some yoga exercise videos on my iPod, I use the AV cable to connect the iPod to my TV so that I can do the practice. I've also done this for audio-only yoga practices by just connecting the audio plug of the AV cable (ie, instead of using both the audio and visual plugs).
So, what I'm not sure how to use is the audio-only cable. The one I have has plugs on either end that are identical, both with headphone symbols. So, yesterday I tried plugging one into my iPod, one into my stereo's headphone jack--it fit, but this didn't work, even when I turned my stereo to the AUX setting. Is it even possible for the stereo headphone jack to receive input coming in? Am I doing something wrong?
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I'd appreciate any input!

Ya, going from headphone jack to headphone jack will not work as both are outputs.
The audio only cable is really made for things like car stereos that have a aux input jack of that type. For the home stereo you typically have RCA jacks (the red, yellow, and white style ones).
You can buy a cable with the 1/8" iPod headphone plug on one end and a pair of (red & white) RCA jacks on the other and use that, but you might as well just use the A/V cable you have an ignore the yellow RCA plug when using it for audio only.

Problem using docking station with ipod 5th generation

just bought an ipod touch, 5th generation, with the Lightening connector. Bought an Acoustic solutions docking station with the same small lightening connector but when I dock I can only charge the ipod and not play music through the docking station. Does anyone have same problems playing music with a 5th generation ipod that has the new small lightening connector?...I bumped into someone at Argos who said they are having the same problem not being able to play music from the new iphone 5 that has the lightening connector and even if you use a adaptor to make it 30 pin connector compatable it still doesnt work, any help will be appreciated, thanks

Sometimes an iOS updates breaks compatibility and yo will have to wait for iOS update or an update to the dock's firmware.

i've seen on the apple website that you can use the apple remote with the ipod 4th generation. how does it work? because isn't the apple remote an ir device? or does it work off bluetooth? some advice on how to use the apple remote would be great. thanks.

I've got a few trips coming up and I was wondering where I may find a listing of good frequesncies for my DLO iPod transmitter while driving. I need frequencies for:

I read from somewhere that it's best to search for a station with a strong signal, then go 2 frequencies down. So, if your radio picks up 100.7 very strongly, then set your DLO to 100.3 (100.7 -> 100.5 -> 100.3)
Or basically, just use your radio to scan for a frequency that's not being used, and set your DLO accordingly.

Using remote control with iPod 5G - does it work?

I am trying to use my Video iPod with a cradle and remote control purchased at the same time from AppleStore in London. I can play, pause, cue, review, raise and lower volume; but the "menu" button seems to do nothing at all. I can't navigate around except by one song at a time! Am I missing something?
