Adapters needed for Fusion Applications

Hello Fusion Apps experts, can you please clarify my concern. Is there anything like OAM Adapter ?
I am preparing for FA installation. Already identity management is installed and configured. Regarding adapters, I created 2 adapters for OVD to connect to OID -- User adapter and Change-Log Adatper.
I saw somewhere that OAM adapter needs to be installed. Is there such thing like creating OAM Adapter for my FA installation ? I refered FA installation guide and there is nothing mentioned about adapters .
Appreciate if someone can clarify my question.
thanks

  • Hardware requirement for Fusion Applications HCM installation

    Hi Team,
I want to install fusion applications for HCM.
Can any one suggest the minimum hardware requirement for installation.
Please help me with any documents.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Dear Chandra,
Please note that Fusion Applications installation involves following components.
    1. Oracle Identity and Access Management components (Middleware infrastructure)
    2. Oracle Database for IDM
    3. Oracle Database for Fusion Apps
    4. Fusion Applications Domains (includes Admin and managed servers for Fusion Applications)
I have posted a guide on installing Fusion applications on 2 node setup and if you have sufficient hardware to host 2 VMs then it can be done on single server as well.
    http://www.oratraining.com/blog/2013/03/oracle-fusion-applications-installation-step-by-step-guide-11-1-6/
This will explain the 2 node architecture which I have prepared.
    http://www.oratraining.com/blog/2013/03/fusion-applications-architecture-for-2-node-setup/
The minimum memory requirement changes if you select more products since in Fusion apps each products have their own domain and if you select more products then there will be more application managed servers (even if you don't select a product family, it will still create some managed weblogic servers based on dependency with selected products)
The minimum memory requirement to host IDM and consolidated DB in 1 node is 10-12 GB
The minimum memory requirement to host Fusion Applications domains on 2nd node is 64 GB (for 1 product family, for all products selected then 128 GB)
Please note that these are "minimum" requirements based on my experience, not as per the documents since what we are talking about is installing for "learning", not for production, where you will host various components in separate nodes.
    Thanks

  • Screen resolution for Fusion Applications?

We are in process to set screen resolution standard for our ADF applications. We are much interested to know about supported screen resolution in fusion applications. Can any body let us know what is minimum required resolution for fusion applications? And what is recommended resolution?

  • Skills needed for Fusion Apps Extensions

    Hi All,
Can you please let me know the skills one should possess to work in extending the Fusion Applications? I know we need to know ADF.
But do we need to know Webcenter or any other technology.
    Regards,

This would depend on the technologies used and the deployment model. I.e. whether you have OnSite, OnDemand or Cloud installation the tools you would use would be different. While on site you are able to implement customizations with JDeveloper in cloud environment you would be restricted to run-time composer tools accessible through the applications.

  • Tool to develop for Fusion Applications

    Hello,
    Please Oracle guys...
Can you tell how to change and develop for the new Fusion Applications.
I know the OA Framework pages are developed and modified with special versions of jdeveloper.
I also know Fusion Apps is now available in edelivery.oracle.com , but I have not been able to find the jdeveloper to start making changes in the Fusion Applications release.
    Thanks in advance.
    Juanje

    Thanks Gyan,
Are you absolutely sure?, this is a radical change on behalf of Oracle, because to develop OAF pages only jdeveloper for OAF versions can be used, if you try to develop OAF pages with a "normal" jdeveloper version, simply you can't, because you need some special libraries embedded in this "special" releases.
Please, if someone is doing some development for the new Fusion Apps., can put some light on this?
    Thanks.

  • Digital Signature Setup for Fusion Applications Saas Customers

    Hi,
I have been reading in the Fusion Middleware book and I see that we can define the Digital Signature, but it looks like it can be done only in SOA.
We have a customer that requires this information on how they can set it up in fusion applications and if it is supported for the SaaS customers ?

Can you elaborate on what the requirement is ? Are you trying to integrate with services using message protection or ? if so you may find the following documentation useful:

  • Components Needed for Dynamic Application

I'm going to need some help from those of you familiar with
my situation. Until now, I have always worked on the front end of
dynamic applications. However, I am now putting on the swimsuit and
taking a plunge head first into the world of developing Rich
    Internet Applications. Here's my scenario:
I'm running on a Mac (Intel) with OSX Leopard 10.5 installed.
I want to build a site for my side business using a combination of
programs that will let me deliver an interactive experience. So
far, I've come up with the following:
Flex and Actionscript for the front end.
    MySQL for the database storage.
ColdFusion for the web application development and database
    manipulation.
    Apache as the local server.
Here's where I'm getting confused. From my understanding,
Leopard comes preinstalled with the Apache server software. Is
Apache similar to IIS with Windows in that one must select it as a
local server before proceeding with the Coldfusion development?
My next question revolves around the cooperation from
Flex>Coldfusion>MySQL. Some of the documentation I've found
mentions that LiveCycle has something to do with this
interactivity. Is this true, and if so, what do I need to know to
    be squared away?
Finally, assuming my previously mentioned setup is compatible
with one another, is this enough to be able to host my own web site
    independently on my computer?
Thanks in advance for the help any of you can offer. I have
experience using each of these programs to a certain degree, but
never have I attempted to integrate each of them together into a
    fully functional unit.

Just for some types of interactivity. If your application
    will only
pull data from the server then liveCycle is not required. As
    well as
LiveCycle data can be pulled using http, web services, and a
    couple of
    others.
If you want the server to be able to push data to clients
    then LiveCycle
is required. But a free production server limited to a one
    CPU server
is included in ColdFusion 8 installations.
Buy the way LiveCycle's is the new name of the original Flex
    Data
Services you may see in some older documentation.

  • Design Pattern help needed for MDI application

    Hi,
I am writing an mdi application which contains a JSplitPane. The left pane contains a JTree and the right contains a JDesktopPane which houses n number of JInternalFrames. The JInternal Frames need access to the JTree. Also both panes (objects w/in) need access to elements of the JFrame. I am currently implemeting access by making most of the JFrame objects static and creating getter/setter methods for access. Does anyone know any desing patterns I might use to solve this dilemma?
    Thanks,
    John

The observer design pattern causes the child objects to chage state when the parent changes state. The type of pattern I need would allow the child objects of the parent JFrame to be available globally without having to make them static. I am wrong in this? Would the observer pattern solve this issue.

  • Hardware/Software needed for WebForms?

My company is planning on migrating a Forms 3.0 application to

I understand the basic 3-tier structure (i.e. database server,

the server needs to support about 100 concurrent connections?

there is an Oracle marketing slogan about the Norwegian tax
ministery (or so) running with about 5000 users concurrently.
But they are only dealing with the number not further details.
I'm just pushing a customer with a +- 100 form app to the web
and they want ot go production in mid February. They (especially
their admins) are very open to the technology and there are only
some issues on prinitng from forms using customs documents,
invoices and delivery notes. But I think after some changing of
the print philosphy it will be working.
If you are interested mail me and I will try to give you some
    hints after production.

  • "Broken" MD5 and SHA-1: Any measures available/needed for JCA/JCE/JSSE ?

    Dear Experts
As security reports emerge saying MD5 and SHA-1 algos being broken I d'like to know what this means to us as longterm users of Sun's JCA/JCE/JSSE implementations within 1.3.1, 1.4.2 and 1.6 JRE / JDK.
    Main area of our usage:
    - Key and certificate generation by keytool and/or openssl
    - TLS communications with above material from jks keystores and SunPksc11 along with smartcards used with java client and servers, webbrowsers and servers.
A common recommendation I've got regarding SHA-1 is to upgrade to SHA-256, 384 or even 512.
Is this feasible / needed for above applications?
    What about MD5?
    Really concerned
    Marcel

    Hello all,
I have problem with a JSSE client to communicate with an openssl server. It got stuck after connection is established. Do you have any idea?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Fusion application adapter download ?

    All,
I am looking for fusion application adapter to download for SOA 11.1.1.6 version. If any one knows please provide the link.
    Thanks
    sabari

    Hi Sabari,
If you're looking forward to integrate with Fusion Applications, AFAIK, there isn't any dedicated Fusion Adapter like there used be Oracle Apps Adapter. The reason for that is Fusion Apps exposes the content as webservices already which can be consumed directly after looking into the bundled OER with Fusion Apps. In order to access the Interface tables, you can use your DB adapter. Hence don't know how you came across Fusion Adapter.
I haven't done any integrations yet with Fusion apps but just my understanding till now says above. If you have any additional links to share, please share.

  • New subforum suggestion: JDev for Fusion Apps

    Right now, we have a main JDeveloper/ADF Forum: {forum:id=83}
    We also have an OA Framework Forum for people working with Apps < Fusion Apps {forum:id=210}
We don't, however (to my searching) have a Fusion Apps Development forum - I think one would make sense, given that the topic is apps-specific and requires a specific setup of JDeveloper. OTOH, there is lots of commonality between JDev/ADF + Fusion Apps Development, much more so than for JDe/ADF and OA Framework - not exactly sure how to separate those out. Maybe the new forum could cover:
Fusion Apps Dev Environment Setup + Fusion Apps-specific dev questions
