Adaptive wide angle filter error for iPhone 4s in PS CC

Hello,
I have just watched a tutorial on Adobe TV regarding the new adaptive wide angle filter used on pre-stitched panoramas. I open an iPhone pano image. go to filter–>adaptive wide angle filter and in the lower left corner I find – as indicated as being requested to function properly the tut – the name of the camera, the lens and the f-stop with wich the image was taken. The filter does still not draw the automatic line on the corved part of the building I try to improve. Going to correction –> automatic in the upper right corner I get an error message that no matching profile for the iPhone's camera's lens could be found.
Why that when it is clerly indicated as being 4.28 mm etc already? The iPhone 4S has been here for quite a while and is widely used, so why the error?
Thanks for any hint!

Thanks, Trevor.Dennis,
it did seem to work out for a moment the wayyou suggested: the drag line appered allright this time, but after adjusting the curved line the filter made a fisheye image out of my panorama, cutting off about 20% on each side and leaving a ragged edge remining of a circle.
I'll keep trying!

  • PS CS6 Adaptive Wide Angle Filter - not working.

I am working on a panorama in PS CS6.  I have merged all the images and am trying to correct the perspective using the adaptive wide angle filter.  But when I open the filter and set correction mode to perspective - all I see is a background transparency.  If I try to use one of the other modes the full image isn't visible, just seeming randomly cropped.  I am using a macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.5.
Also, the lens information IS embedded in the image and is visible when I open the filter.
    Any advice would be helpful!

  • Adaptive Wide Angle (PS CS6) - Auto doesn't work

When I try to use "Auto" correction in the new Adaptive Wide Angle filter, it pops up with "No matching lens profile found". I searched for information and was directed to go to the Lens Correction filter. I pressed the "Search Online" button. The first time it comes back with "Connection timeout", but the second time it says "No online profiles found". Come on, really?!
ACR has my lens profile (Canon 24-105 f/4 IS), why can't PS CS6 find it? Is there a workaround? I'd really like to use the Adaptive Wide Angle filter.

I've discovered a bit more information.
My current camera is a Canon 5D Mark III, but I had a Mark II with this same lens before that.
I was editing a photo from the Mk II, and found that Adaptive Wide Angle defaulted to "auto" for it, having found a lens profile.
Since it's the very same lens, it apparently is not related to the lens at all, but rather the camera body.
I just installed an update to PS this morning, but it did not improve the situation at all.
How can it be that Adobe doesn't seem to support the 5D Mark III in PS CS6, one of the more popular full-sensor camera bodies out there?

  • Will Mobileme filter spam for iPhone?

I have my iPhone setup with mail settings for IP in addition to .mac (me) mail. - So iPhone polls ATT directly for other accounts.
Can mobileme be set to get regular mail then "spam filter" it before pushing to iPhone?
As it is my mac Mail does a good filtering job, but the filtered mail still goes from the ATT server to the iPhone.

No, it doesn't. The best server-side spam filtering is Google's Gmail. You could forward your email accounts to Gmail and use that on your iPhone.

  • IOS 7 error for iPhone 4

while updating my iPhone 4 to iOS7, there was an error and now my phone is useless.
if I restore my iphone then all the media will be gone and I will be dead. my wife is going to kill me.

I venture to say you have a Windows PC.
If so, before beginning the download try temporarily disabling your antivirus, anti-adware, anti-spyware, and any other anti-whatever that is required with the insecure OS your computer is running.

  • Does someone make a wide angle lense accessory for iPad video camera?

Would like to widen iPad video camera perspective when using Skype app. Looking for aftermarket product like Phocus, but for iPad video camera. Anything out there or do I need to develop a start-up myself?

There are a number of lens kits available that will work on the iPad, but I've never seen one that will work on the forward lense (which is what I assum you are looking for). Doesn't mean there isn't one however.

  • Wide angle lens for Built-In iSight? (MacBook Pro)

    Hi,
I'm looking to use my MacBook Pro for a video conference, but the angle of the lens is so limited.
Are there any lenses you can put over the built-in camera that allow for a wider angle?
Right now, everyone has to sit one on top of another to be seen by the speaker. I would like to be able to create a little bit of a semi-circle so participants can see eachother while also seeing the speaker.
Any help? Anyone heard of anything?
I can imagine even a convex piece of plastic over the camera might do the trick. Don't know, but doesn't seem impossible. Even if there's mild distortion in the picture, the bigger view would be worth it.
Not really looking for a fish-eye, but more a wide angle or something that gives a bit more of a panorama effect.
    Thanks.

    Hello andintroducing
One disadvantage of the built-in iSight is its lack of any easy way to mount accessory lenses like those that can be used with an external iSight equipped with this Kaidan iSight Accessory Kit. This kit includes a threaded lens adapter ring that can be used to mount a 37-mm auxiliary wide-angle lens. The adapter ring can also be purchased separately.
On occasions when you need a wider field of view than your built-in iSight offers, other than rigging some wide-angle auxiliary lens to your MBP, the best I can suggest is to consider a second webcam that has a wide-angle lens. I have tested with a MacBook user who was comparing video from his built-in iSight with a QuickCam® Fusion™. The external camera offered a much wider field of view, and the video quality was fine. If you consider this alternative, I suggest you take your MBP with you when you shop. Doing so will let you "try-before-you-buy" so you can be certain whether the webcam is wide enough for your needs.
If you do not want to use a second camera, you can buy a wide-angle auxiliary lens for a camcorder and mount it in front of your built-in iSight.
Depending on your ingenuity and skills, you might want to mount the auxiliary lens with some kind of hanging mount like bent wire that would hold the lens in front of your iSight. Another simple method would be some kind of adhesive like double-sided tape or TAC Adhesive Putty.
Neither of these mounts would be very stable, esthetically pleasing, or permanent, but they could provide a quick, easy test to determine whether it would be worth the time and cost to develop a more elegant solution.
If you do try some of these suggestions, please post back your results. Whether you find what works or what does not, your information will be helpful to those who have the same need.
    Cheers,
    Jim

  • Wide Angle Lens Distortion

Using Mac PSE 4, how can I straighten a photo that shows curvature near the edges due to the use of a wide angle lens?
For example, a photo of a river scene with a long log in the foreground. The log appears curved, the center is lower than the ends due to lens distortion. The rest of the photo looks acceptable due to the absence of long straight line features. How do I straighten the log?

That's what is known as barrel distortion. There are a couple of ways. The best is to get something specially for that, like PTMac from kekus.com, but in PE you can try using the pinch filter. Set it for a very low amount, then keep pressing command+F to reapply it if necessary. It helps to turn on View>Grid. PE 5 has a camera distortion correction filter, but alas, there's no mac version of PE 5.

  • Wide-Area Bonjour error in the logs

I took a look at the logs, and noticed the following line repeated MANY times:
    Apr 11 11:59:53 Severity:3 Wide-Area Bonjour error for "TC.mymobilemename.members.mac.com." (-65537).
    futher down, I see this:
    Apr 11 12:00:01 Severity:3 Wide-Area Bonjour error for "Wireless\032Capsule.smb.tcp.mymobilemename.members.mac.com." (-65537).
    Apr 11 12:00:01 Severity:3 Wide-Area Bonjour error for "Wireless\032Capsule.adisk.tcp.mymobilemename.members.mac.com." (-65537).
    Apr 11 12:00:01 Severity:3 Wide-Area Bonjour error for "Wireless\032Capsule.afpovertcp.tcp.mymobilemename.members.mac.com." (-65537).
I removed my real mobile me name and replaced it with mymobilemename.
What is this error? Yes, I have entered my Mobile Me credentials into the Time Capsule, and obviously this is related to that.
I can't ever seem to hit my TC when I am outside my home network, so clearly it's related.
I am running the latest updates of the Airport Utility and the latest firmware on the device.
    How to do fix this?
    thanks.

I have same error and don't know what to do.
    Thanks

  • G1X Adapter - use with Canon Wide Angle Lens..and Telephoto lens

I just got a adapter ring for my G1X..to use with a Hoya cloe up filter.
I noticed..that the threads fit my Canon wide angle/telephoto...
have seen nothing about doing this..
and..also felt..the were to heavy for just a LENS ADAPTER RING.
    anyone try this...
    any ideas...welcomed..

Your samples look like incredibility simple images to do. I also suspect little artificial light was added. Possibly just a bounce off the ceiling.
Since you already have a Rebel T3i, I would get the Canon 430 EX, and just one. But be aware it will likely not provide equal coverage for a 10-22mm lens. Ten millimeters is pretty wide even on a T3i. Bouncing off the ceiling will help this.
Some ceilings may not be good for bounce either.
Give it a go and you will learn what works and what not. But the old saying, KISS, applies.  You will learn!
Photshop and/or Lightroom are great additions. They both have learning curves and PS a very long learning curve.

  • PS CC 2014 Win: Wide Angle Correction Filter - create profiles?

Not being an expert in this field, I assume that lenses always produce the same amount and kind of distortion at a given focal length. I don't know for what exactly lens correction profiles correct (used in both Lightroom and Photoshop alike), fact is that I need to correct further using the Wide Angle Correction Filter (WACF) to get rid of most lens quirks. Can someone please explain to me why the lens correction profile files aren't enough, and if it would be possible to produce some kind of correction profile(s) for the WACF that can be re-used?
    Andreas

Sorry, no solution to the problem, but a confirmation. I do have the same problem (Intuos Pro and Pen & Touch) showing the problem with ACR 8.5 and Photoshop (2014, CC and 6, these were updated with ACR 8.5) . No such problem before ACR 8.5 and no problem with LR 5.5 (also containing ACR 8.5).
I hope there will be a solution from Adobe soon, since sems to be caused by the ACR update.
Windows 8.1 in my case and latest Wacom Intuos driver installed.
