Adavanced Queuing standard feature

Hello All;
I was wondering if anyone could point me to Oracle website or links that specifies if Advanced Queuing a standard feature in 9i Standard Edition and or Enterprise?
Thank you.

• Does iPhone voicemail have this standard feature??

Remember when (with previous standard cell phones) while you were listening to voicemails, you had the option to reply to the voicemail without actually calling the person back?
Like, the feature would bypass the actual calling on the person and go straight to their voicemail inbox.
So if you didn't want to speak to them but you had to tell that person a quick message, you could do it.
In fact, I have a business and to save me time people sometimes do that to me.
The phone doesn't ring it will just alert me when I have a new VM.
Can I do this on my iPhone in any way???
Thanks!

Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The iPhone itself does not have this. This is typically part of the voicemail service features provided by your cellular provider. More info on AT&T Wireless voicemail below.

You may also wish to contact at&t wireless and inquire if they support such a feature through their standard voicemail access which is accessed holding down 1 on keypad on iPhone. You can also submit feedback below.

• Comprehensive list on enterprise vs. standard features

Is there any sort of comprehensive list comparing features of Oracle standard 9i vs enterprise.
It is easy to find the high level add ons like partitioning. However I know that at one time bitmap indexes were only in enterprise, is this still the case. Also query re-write, all materialized view functionality, com automation etc. It is very difficult to make the decisions without the ability to compare the functionality.
Thank you

No the Enterprise License is for a single server with up to
two(2) CPUs.
Four(4) CPU's on a single box requires two licenses.
Enterprise has the ability to create multiple instances of
ColdFusion
running on the same box. You could have seven instances on a
physical
each doing their own thing, if you had a beefy enough box.
There is a difference between Standard and Enterprise on
boxes with
virtualization as well, but I am not confidant enough in this
aspect to
offer a recommendation.

• Missing 'standard' features in Z3

Hi I'm experiencing something really strange with my Z3 Tablet. For some reason, my power management features doesn't have the option for 'Location Based Wifi' like it's supposed to. Similarly, Google Play settings doesn't include the option to update apps over wifi only. I've searched online but nobody else seems to be having this problem. I've tried all different resets but no avail. Anyone have any idea why?

• SAP standard feature

Dear All,
Is there any standard way by which we can pull the highest info record price for a particular material during easy cost planning (CJ40) ?
Regards,
Sagnik

CJ40 is for unit costing, there you can use costing variant eg PS06 Easy cost plannig. To configure this costing variant go to t-code OKKT and there you can choose Valuation variant button on the material tab you will have defined valuation strategy. What you can use as highest priority is option L Price from purchasing info record.
I am not sure if this will be a highest info record but you can check it.
Easy cost planning is in CJ9ECP or in CJ20n
Hope it a little helps.

• Is call waiting a standard feature with ATT?

I just noticed neither of my phones have call waiting. Does this cost extra?

Your settings on your phone turn it off and on locally.
If the feature isn't enabled on your account, it won't even get to your phone so the local control means nothing.
I have my Call Waiting turned off by ATT because I don't want it, ever. I haven't had it enabled for 8 or 9 years. (Really, I don't even take single calls, I let them all go to voicemail, let alone two calls at the same time).
Sometimes when people activate new accounts, they occasionally don't get all the correct features turned on globally.

• What are the standard features of a DC 7600?

• Form Personalization using Special1 overwrites standard feature.

Hi All,
In PO Quotation form when we click Tools->Copy Document a new Form (PO_POXCPDOC) opens (form trigger Special1).
When I try to do form personalization at trigger special1 , Opening of new form (PO_POXCPDOC) cease to occur on clicking Tools->Copy Document.
Why is it happening like that?
Basically my requirement is to disable\enable "Copy Document" based on some custom logic.
Regards
Prajesh

Prajesh,
What are your actions in the Special1 personalization? When the user clicks on Tools> Copy, the Special1 event fires. It executes your personalizations and then goes to the seeded action (opening the new form).
It is possible that your personalization has some actions (such as a form-trigger-failure or an ERROR message ) that prohibits the form from proceeding to the next line. What happens if the only action you have is a message of type SHOW?
Double check your condition. The condition may be firing for unintended conditions as well.
Hope this helps

• JMS Queue monitoring

Hi everyone,
is there any way to monitor a jms queue with its contained messages ? i'm talking about a tool like the jmx console in jboss - the JMS Adapter and JMS Notification in the Visual Admin only provide some properties.
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
In short what you want (sending email in case message has stayed too long time in the queue), is NOT possible directly. That's not a standard feature by the JMS spec.
What is possible is the is so-called dead messages, once the acknowledgment fails the predefined number of times then the messages will be redirected to a special queue. From there the messages can be exported by telnet.
Check SAP note 777930 for more info. Btw, it might be a good idea to get familiar with that note, otherwise if the external server let's say always throws an exception while processing the message, it will be moved to this special queue and unless someone issues the appropriate telnet commands, nobody will understand about this.
However if you disable this feature, that will mean that the message will be delivered endlessly, causing CPU load. Not nice if you have doubts in your external listeners.
Now about the queue monitoring :
You could create manually a periodic task (EJB timers in J2EE 1.4 which is covered in the prerelease of the next server version, or if you are using Netweaver 04s or 04s than perhaps java.util.Timer) that will periodically open a JMS browser, check the messages in the queue, if they have stayed too long time (>100 seconds for example ?) or if the queue is too big (>100 messages) you can send manually the email alert that something has went wrong. By usage of the JAVA API that should be simple
Another thing you can do is that inside your external listeners and the onMessage method, you could check manually the number of times the message is redelivered, if it is above some threshold (i.e . if it is 3, that means the SAP server has delivered the message 3 times , since the listener have rejected it 2 times already),then you can send the email via the standard java API. The delivery count can be retrieved by using the standard optional property JMSXDeliveryCount from the message.

• Advanced Queue ConnectionFactory

After following the Foreign providers documentation, I noticed that Oracle's AQjmsQueueConnectionFactory
doesn't implement the required Serializable interface.
Hence, one cannot bind the return value of AQjmsFactory.getQueueCannectionFactory
even though it is supposed to be able to return a javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory.
I've read through the various Oracle doc's that point out that this CAN be done although
by only registering the database to use LDAP. This can then be used as the provider
url, however, the API doesn't include the stated registerDriver method.
Has anyone had any success deploying an MDB using Oracle Adavanced Queues as the
jms provider?

I haven't tried AQ myself. From looking at the Oracle documentation, the 9i
documentation says that you can register connection factory and destination
objects in Oracle's LDAP server (but not in another JNDI server). So, you'd
need to run 9i, configure Oracle to run its LDAP server, and then follow the
steps in the 9i documentation to register the objects in LDAP. Once you've
done that, the MDB should be able to look it up. However, the 8.1.7
documentation didn't say anything about support for LDAP in a standard way
that WLS could use.
There is also some stuff in the AQ documentation about how AQ lets you only
create a single JMS Session per Connection, except in certain circumstances.
Unless you can use those circumstances, you'll have to set up your MDB so
that "max-beans-in-free-pool" is 1 so that it won't try to create multiple
sessions on the connection (like it does with every other JMS provider).
If Oracle 9i and LDAP aren't an option, your other alternative is to use a
variant of the "startup class" method described in the whitepaper in
sections 2.6 and 5.3. However, instead of binding the actual Oracle
connection factory into WLS JNDI, you bind a JNDI "Reference" object. You
can put whatever name/value information you wish in this object, and each
time the JNDI lookup is performed, you lok at that information, use the
Oracle APIs to construct the necessary object, and return it. References are
a standard part of the JNDI specification which WLS implements. To use the
Reference method, look at the javadoc for the "javax.naming.Reference" class
in your nearest JDK javadocs. In short, you would have to:
-- Write a class that implements the javax.naming.spi.ObjectFactory
interface, which takes a Reference object, looks at it, and creates the
appropriate Oracle object using the proprietary Oracle APIs.
-- Create a Reference object that uses your "ObjectFactory" implementation
class as its "factory".
-- Put one or more "RefAddr" or "StringRefAddr" objects inside your
Reference object to tell your factory how to create the Oracle object.
-- Bind the Reference object into JNDI, like this:
Hashtable jndiEnv = new Hashtable(2);
jndiEnv.put(weblogic.jndi.WLContext.REPLICATE_BINDINGS, "false");
jndiEnv.put(weblogic.jndi.WLContext.CREATE_INTERMEDIATE_CONTEXTS,
"true");
InitialContext context = new InitialContext(jndiEnv);
context.bind("YourName", YourReferenceObject);
Then, each time when you (or the MDB code) does the JNDI lookup, JNDI will
automatically invoke your "ObjectFactory" object, pass it the Reference
object you created, and your factory will return an Oracle connection
factory or destination object.
This is pretty ugly, but it lets you get around Oracle's pretty non-standard
JMS implementation in a way that should hide the ugliness in one place. I
haven't actually tried this with Oracle, but I've done enough of the other
pieces to be pretty confident that this will work with WLS 7.0. (And let me
know and I'll check about older releases.)
Good luck!

• Is there a way to create a standard hollow bullet?

Hello everyone,
We are using FrameMaker 12 on a Windows 7 (64 bit) platform.
I have found discussions on the Web about this, but so far nothing works for us. As you know, other word processing tools have a hollow bullet as a standard feature. After spending a couple of hours over the past few months researching forums, it appears there is no way to get a true hollow bullet in FrameMaker. Is that correct?
This is what does *not* work for us:
A Courier or Courier New lower case letter "o" (oh). If we could raise it up off the line, it would work. There appears to be no way to lift a character a few pixels off the line.
The symbol you get by pressing Alt+9: ○. When this symbol appears in FrameMaker, it is also needs to be raised up off the line so it doesn't look like the letter "o."
The circular symbol you get when you type a lower case "m" and change the font to Windings 1, because it has shading on the lower right, and also would need to be raised up off the line.
We know how to make any Winding or Webding a bullet. What we want is the standard hollow bullet. Can anyone explain how to do that?
Thank you.
Tim

If what's needed is to redefine the default glyph generated by the FM markup "\b", I'm not aware of any way to do that.
But it's simple to edit Paragraph Formats for any bulleted forms, and specify what glyph to use. On FM8 or higher, I would avoid using the old codepage font method, and instead use Unicode. Either choose a body font that populates the codepoint for the glyph you want, or invoke one that does, just for the bullet (Arial Unicode MS if necessary).
In Format > Paragraph > Designer for the bulleted form, it's the Numbering tab. The most obvious markup would be:
◦
Which is the Unicode WHITE BULLET and a tab.
Other candidate glyphs might include:
○
◯
❍
⦿
⊙
⊚
⌾
⨀
￮
or even a non-breaking space and combining circle:
\ ⃝
(update: looks like FM9 doesn't know how to do combining circle - they end up as separate space and circle characters).
If your preferred body font doesn't populate the desired bullet code point, create a Character Format, named perhaps "Bullets", that is As-Is or blank for everything except Font Family, which would select a typeface that does populate the codepoints of interest. Then select that Character Format in the Paragraph Designer menu for your bulleted para formats.

• 800-ADSL over ISDN ISDN-features

Hello,
has anyone experiences with the BRI at the 800 ADSL over ISDN Routers (like 836).
I wonder what's the difference between the feature sets.
OOB-Management and Dial-Backup over ISDN is described in the Datasheet as feature of the 'IP/FW/IPSec-3DES-PLUS-Dial-Backup' IOS only, but in my tests it seems that the BRI is a fully functionaly routed Interface in all feature sets.
I think there is no more need to buy another ISDN-Router like 801 or 803 when I have full ISDN connectivity at the ADSLoISDN-Routers with standard feature set. And with the 'DMZ-Ethernet' feature I have even a secondary routed Ethernet-port and there is no more need to buy a 831.

I the 836 Datasheet (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/routers/ps380/products_data_sheet09186a008014ee18.html) you can see that the default featureset already has firewall and VPN features ('IP/FW/IPSec 3DES default feature set') even if it is called CISCO836-K9-64 (Cisco 836 ADSL over ISDN Router-64MB) in the Cisco-pricelist.
I hope that's the same with the 876 which is called CISCO876-K9 (ADSLoISDN Security Router) in the pricelist.

TCP session B -- Client: 5678 <--> VIP:20 <--> member Svr: 6379 [on demand generated between server/client]

TCP session B -- Client: 5678 <--> VIP:20 <--> member Svr: 20
we still unable to make the Active mode FTP access work either...hence we got no idea on how CSS handle FTP access when it involve services over multiple tcp ports..
and from CSS xlate view...the problem is we can only see what NAT IP that used in CSS connect to client...but no way to confirm for which port for VIP using outgoing to client. neither it is dropped by CSS..nor it is never setup from VIP to Client side.

• Must have features for all new nokia phones

To the technical and design team  Security feature Add a window for personal details for owner of the phone. Where one cannot use the phone the first time till they have input all this data and they can only change or remove it with a unique password provided on the CD Rom. This info should be tamper proof no matter what and should be displayed whenever phone is switched on and off.  Solar powered: Why not have the screen work as a solar panel or include a small panel on the side of the phone to charge it without necessarily leaving the phone out in the sun to charge. For customers in the tropics where the sun is all round the year and where power is scarce, this would really connect them.  Compass/Gps systems Having any of these features will be excellent for when one travels wherever; they won’t loose their sense of direction.  FM Radio Some of the phones have this but it should become standard feature but the catch here should be an integrated aerial so the one does not require connecting the handsfree in order to listen to the radio but have an option of both the phone speaker(just like the Nokia 630 speaker) Also can the handsfree have backlit screen and control just like those of a walkman or portable CD player? For big size phones beginning with 6630 up wards, this kind of handsfree would be handy as it will show missed calls, you can actually read you inbox messages and scroll through the phone book or mails as you speak to someone else without removing your phone from the pouch.  Twin Sims So many network available and most of them have not embraced the idea of offering double sim cards or two numbers of different networks on one simcard. Why not two slots on the side of the phone those use the hot swap system just like that of the MMC on the Nokia 6630 that can accommodate two simcards. Let these simcards be both active at any one time. Switching off and on of the phone frequently has an effect on the battery and this is what we mostly do/ or carry 2 – 3 phones around. I think having this feature will be excellent.

I agree and most big companies do as they used these as business fones.
