Adblock Plus is blocking my email search tool in Yahoo mail

I have not been able to use "search email" for all my emails, just some. I restarted Firefox today, on recommendation. This disabled my Adblock Plus for some reason! Then I was able to do email search for anything I wanted. But I was getting ads in my yahoo, so I installed adblock plus again, which helped that problem, but now I cannot do email search again.
How do I tell adblock plus to stop blocking my email search?

You can ask advice at the Adblock Plus forum if there are problems with this extension or with a filter list:

  • E63 Yahoo email set up without Yahoo mail plus

Is there a way to set up Yahoo mail to my E63 device without  a Yahoo mail plus account?
I have a standard Yahoo mail account. When I go to mail options, and trying to set up POP & Forwarding, I will not be able to do anything without upgrade to mail plus. Is there a way to get around this? I do not want to use Yahoo mobile either. Thanks for your help.

    @ Weitl
I use emoze and have tried seven.  Seven works great but drains battery and uses lots of memory.  Emoze mail will work with yahoo regular mail.  http://www.emoze.com/.    http://www.seven.com/.  Both work great.  Seven integrates a little better into native messaging application with contacts but I prefer emoze.

  • Why can't I open my emails in the new Yahoo Mail any more? It was ok until Yahoo upgraded it.

Yesterday I upgraded my Yahoo mail and at first the auto complete email address didn't work and now I can't open my emails to read them. The page just freezes. Can you help me please?

This is probably an issue with the new Yahoo code that Yahoo needs to fix on their site.<br />
You can try to contact them or post on a Yahoo forum if there is such a forum for problems with Yahoo! Mail.

  • Email linEmail link to Yahoo Mail does not work in in FF26.0 Windows 7, 64 bit computer?

    as above

Do you mean, for example, that if you click a link like this:
    [email protected]
Firefox does not start a new message in Yahoo! mail?
I think you will need to set Firefox to use Yahoo! mail using the Options dialog. Please see this article for the steps: [[Change the program used to open email links]].
    Does that work?
Or if you can't open Yahoo! mail at all, try going in through one of these addresses:
    * Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
    * My Yahoo page: https://my.yahoo.com/
    * General mail redirect: https://mail.yahoo.com/
Note that many users have discovered problems with bookmarks they saved for the "old" Yahoo mail and need to update them to work with the "new" (neo) Yahoo mail.

  • IPad Mail app produces empty emails when synched with Yahoo Mail

When I sync my iPad's Mail app with my AT&T/YaHoo web mail account, dozens of identical emails appear in my iPad Mail Inbox. All are marked (No Sender), (No Subject) and "This message has no content" and show 12/31/69 as the "Sent" date. Clicking on them opens a blank viewing page in the right pane with the notation "No Message Selected". They are all marked Unread. When I select Edit in the left pane, no circle appears to the left of these emails so they cannot be selected and moved or deleted. These strange emails do not hinder my use of Mail but their presence aggravates me. I'd like to get rid of them and also find out why they are appearing. I've tried hard booting. This problem is unique to my iPad; Mail works fine on my iMac. Syncing my iPad to my iMac does not get rid of the strange emails. I do not sync to Cloud.

Hi Csound1, thanks. The email host is 1and1.co.uk, however, i am going to fess up and make myself look like a plonker now -
the email account in question was set up in Outlook as POP - stupid, stupid, stupid me, wasted an afternoon on this!  I have now changed the Outlook account to IMAP and Mail.app works perfectly - and looks much nicer than Outlook did.  Im in the middle of converting from Windows to a Mac, and still finding my way around the Mac
The lesson learned, never assume - always double  check!  All my other email addresses with 1and1 are all imap, except this one, and it happened to be the first one I set up in the Mail.app. (bows head in disgrace!)
Thank you anyway for attempting to help me!
    Cheers

  • Why do I see about:blank in the address bar when clicking a link within an email item in my yahoo mail account?

I have Os X and Firefox 4. When I click a link in an email in my yahoo mail account, the address bar first shows about:blank and then goes on to obtain the address of the link. Is this a virus, or hacker, or what? Thanks for your help.

You only see the URL after Firefox has made a connection.<br />
During the initial state you see about:blank in the location bar.

  • How to block OLD email from arriving in the Mail app?

Since upgrading to iOS 5 my Gmail account keeps filling with old messages. As fast as I clear them out more arrive. There are something in the order of 10,000 messages awaiting me apparently. How do I stop this? I want only new mail, not old mail.

My user is getting notified of a "suspected spam" message via IronPort.  I have
released 2 of these messages to her so that I can see what the message body says.  It is exactly what I posted in my original post.  The from field says"From: VIAGRA (c) Official Vendor [mailto:[email protected]] or From: VIAGRA (c) Direct Distibutor [mailto:[email protected]]
I've done a search and can't find any emails to anyone in my company with Viagra in the from field.  The message body says:
Having trouble reading this email? View it in your browser
I guess I could create a Content Filter for Message Body, but would I just put "Having trouble reading this email? View it in your browser"?
Do I need to seperate each word somehow?  When putting multiple words into a content filter, how do I seperate them, or do I need to seperate them?

  • Hacked email's from bt yahoo mail sending spam

Over the last few days my elderly friend has received a lot of email's from btyahoo email's each containing the word hi or greetings and then just a link. Some of the links are harmless but others contain js redirects to malware sites.
The ip's they are sent from are random so I suspect there sent from a compromised system or some proxy, the ips are from 177.106.194.85 that's Brazil and another  is from Thailand 187.52.77.98. I investigated a little and some are well known senders of spam. My question for BT is this seems to be having on for a long time ie the hacking of yahoo accounts including BTyahoo because of various vulnerabilities in the yahoo email's that make them pretty easy to hack especially if like some of the older users who use names instead of random upper lowercase passphrases. why didn't bt send customers even an email saying how to make a more secure password that may have helped a bit in some cases. I know that if some one wants to hack an email they will get in what ever.  You know bt could even have sent an e-mail to customers saying we have a problem and as a  short term solution moved people to gmail as an example and then if people deleted all there contact details in the btyahoo account the spammers would have no sent to list, just blank email's.
It's early and not all this will make sense so I do apologise for any umpalumpa that has entered my text.
    Thanks for any help provided.

    H.
The hacking issue is nothing to do with the vulnerability you mention, or anything to do with names etc. It is due to a serious breach of the yahoo! systems. Although dictionary attacks are well known about, the hackers still need to have the email address and then try 10s of 1000s or indeed millions of names to get into the account - and that needs time etc. The fact that this hack is independent of the password means that any password would not have helped.
The IP addresses of the "sender" are indeed almost certainly down to compromised systems, probably as part of a botnet. The main reason the emails actually get through is because the hackers use the yahoo! systems to send the spam - and hence the IP address of the sending system is the Yahoo! mail servers, which will almost certainly never be blocked.

  • I am unable to read any text in emails I receive in Yahoo mail. How can this be fixed?

Not an issue using IE or Opera. Only way I can see the text is to reply to or forward the email. I also can't select all messages in spam folder for deletion. Finally, when attempting to provide feedback on your "Firefox made me sad" link. The message I type doesn't send.
What more would you like to know?

  • I absolutely cannot figure out how(in plain English)to make "email this" work with yahoo mail.

I've tried to figure out how to do what the instructions say on tools>>add ons>>-it doesn't seem to work.Maybe I dont understand the directions well enough to figure out how to do this. Why cant I just push a damn button?

    Hi there,
Download a piece of software called TinkerTool - that might just solve your problem. I have used it myself to change the system fonts on my iMac. It is software and not an app.
    Good wishes,
    John.

  • Blocking Web-Email Issue...

    Hey Hi All of you!!!
I'm using TMG 2010 and I want to block web based email like gmail, hotmail yahoo-mail. I've added web-email URL category, Domain set and URL set as well, I checked and it worked for yahoo and hotmail and I say even for gmail but only in Internet explorer
but when I checked in other browsers like chrome and firefox gmail couldn't be blocked by these browsers. One more thing when set TMG proxy in browsers then it worked but not with SecureNAT, Why firefox and chrome can't blocked gmail? Your help help would
    be appreciated...!

    Hi,
    >>"One more thing when set TMG proxy in browsers then it worked but not with SecureNAT"
The URL Filtering doesn’t do HTTPS categorization for Secure NAT requests.
Enable HTTPS Inspection: with HTTPS Inspection enabled, it will be possible to enforce the URL Filtering for requests that use HTTPS and are coming from SecureNAT clients.
    Fore more information:
Unable to block access for a web site using URL Filtering Override option on TMG 2010

  • Re: Email Password - Verizon Yahoo Mail ( new version)

I can't change the password in any Verizon email accounts I have.  I never changed passwords in past
3 years.  I am using the new version of Verizon Yahoo Mail.  When I select the Account option within
Verizon Yahoo Mail, it takes me to the Verizon Member Center, and wants to change the Master Account
password for all my Verizon Services.
Are there any known problems with chanqing email account passwords in the new version of
    Verizon Yahoo Mail ?
Can I change back to an older version of Verizon Yahoo Mail ?
The Yahoo Help System says I can't chnsage back to a previous version of Yahoo Mail, but I wonder
if that is just for Yahoo Email and not Verizon Yahoo Mail.

There have not been any troubles that I have heard of. It could be a browser problem. Try either using a different browser or running your Internet Explorer in compatibility mode. Please go into Internet Explorers "Tools" menu and click to turn on "compatibility view". It should allow you to sort after doing that. If you do not wish to enable compatibility view every time you want to sort,  Go into compatibility view settings and add the site www.verizon.com to the list.

  • Recommended eMail Account to go With MAIL?

Hi. I currently have a Yahoo email account. I've been using it since i began college so i have a few reasons to stick with it.
however, with recently purchasing the macbook and wanting to take full advantage of it, i want to use MAIL which sits on my dock. I looked into it and Yahoo Mail only forwards it to MAIL if i upgrade my yahoo account and pay a $20 a year. Not worth it to me, just to forward email.
So i'm not looking into switching and creating an email account somewhere else. This is where I ask for help.
...Like, what would you recommend? I obviously need something that sends email to MAIL on my dock for free.
I heard Gmail was great since it holds more storage than yahoo. Yahoo holds 1gb and hear gmail does 4gb's.
...I also need an account i can access anywhere. What i love with yahoo is being able to sign on and get something i need from any computer. I've done this numerous times at my college or at a friends house. (I'm assuming gmail can be accessed anywhere right?)
The only place i've looked at is gmail, since my cousin told me about it and said he'll send me a required invite to join. Anywhere else I might want to look into?
    Thanks!

A Gmail account is free but this link provides information on the differences between a free Yahoo email account and a Yahoo Mail Plus or paid account which is only $20/year or $1.67 per month.
    http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/
A 20 MB overall message size limit for received and sent messages is not a big plus unless you are exchanging such a large message with fellow Yahoo Mail Plus users since the majority of ISP's and email account providers have an overall message size limit of 10 MB for received and sent messages.
You get 2 GB of storage instead of 1 GB and can access your account with a cell phone if your cell phone includes this option along with some other additional benefits I know nothing about along with being able to keep your current Yahoo email address.
I understand being in college and having a tight budget but $20/year which amounts to $1.67/mo is nothing IMO especially if keeping your current email address is important to you.
You can get a Gmail account if you're invited by someone who already has one or you can sign up for an account using your mobile phone.

  • BT Yahoo mail emails disappearing every night

    Hi,
Every night all the emails in my BT Yahoo Mail inbox are disappearing! I thought nothing of it for a few days due to the email i had received about migrations however after a week i got Yahoo to restore my mailbox to 7 days and then that night all my emails disappeared again!
I have lost lots of important emails and need to get these back HELP!!!!
All mail folders, sent items, deleted items remain unaffected. I am only accessing email via the BT Yahoo webmail interface.

Entrusting your only copies of important data to the competence of a mass market cloud provider such as BT and their partners, is not a strategy I could recommend.
I would urge you to swop to pop3/smtp using an email client such as MSOutlook or open source Thunderbird or similar, and keep your email store on your own machine (and back it up to external media regularly)
The BT email system is not in a good state at the moment and has been like that for a few years now - at least since 2011 with Yahoo, and Critical Path/Openwave don't seem to be doing much better. Basically they cannot be trusted to look after your data, and they aren't even contractually obliged to do so.
As for getting your email back - BT may or may not be able to help you, but you are not the only one to lose mail at the moment. Best of luck.
Personally I have all my BT acounts set to forward any mail immediately to a 3rd party provider, and I moved away from BT for important mail a few years ago because I didn't want to lose important data.
