Add 13 hours to 500 photos using iPhoto 11 9.3.2

My camera had the wrong time for the time zone I was in.  I need to add 13 hours to all the photos.  When I use the "batch change time" it has the option to add hours but it adds the housr between photos so I end up with one photo correct but the next one is 26 hours ahead the next one is 39 hours ahead and this goes on through all 50 photos.  So my question is can I do a batch correction of 50 photos by adding 13 hours to EACH photo.
I thought Apple was the cats meow, so I hope someone out there can help me.  I will be looking for third party app help in the mean time.

Try use 'Adjust Date and Time'.

I get this error message when I try to email photos using iPhoto: Your email did not go through because the server did not reply. How can I get this to work when my internet is connected?

Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts?  If so:
1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane.  This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.

Trying to Email Photo Using Iphoto 09: Apple Event Handler Failed, WHY?
This keeps happening. Please help me solve it

This one comes up from time to time and it’s caused by a glitch in the AppleScript underpinnings that work in the background. Frankly, I’ve seen no solution for it and suspect that it would require a re-install of the System Software.
    Alternaive:
Instead of making the email in iPhoto, add the photos to the email in Mail. Use the Photo Browser in the New Message Window and you have full access to the Library.

You can even resize the pics in the New Message Window as you do in iPhoto.

  • How do I sync only 40 of my 500 photos in iPhoto to my iPhone?

Question: How do I sync only 40 of my 500 photos in iPhoto to my iPhone?
    This is what I did:
1-Created a "New Album" in iPhoto
    2-Named it "iPhone"
3-Dragged in the 40 photos (of the 500 photos in my iPhoto library) into the "New Album" named iPhone
    4-Synced.
Result: Now when I go to the "Photo" widget on my iPhone I see:
"Camera Roll" "iPhoto (40)" and "iPhone (40)"
Why is it showing that I have the same 40 photos in under "iPhoto" and "IPhone"?
Shouldn't it say only "Camera Roll" and iPhone (40)"? Thanks!

You only have 40 photos on the phone, and there are not 40 duplicates.
What you're seeing is not unlike iTunes, where you have Library, and under it, playlists. Think of the album "iPhone" as a playlist, and "iPhoto" as the Library.
If you added another album called "iPhone2" and synched again, you would see "iPhoto", "iPhone", and "iPhone2". "iPhoto" would show all the photos from both "iPhone" and "iPhone2".
    Make sense?

  • I am creating an Apple book of photos using iPhoto and a panoramic image.

I am creating an Apple book of photos using iPhoto.  I have a panoramic image that I have split into two 9.5X2.583 in pieces in PhotoShop.  I want to paste them into facing pages.  When I try to move the images to the book I get images much larger which won't fit on the page.  I am using Mac OS X 10.7.4 and iPhoto 11 (9.3.2).
What do I need to do to make this work?
    Thanks for your help.

Why not just use the full panoramic photo in one of the "spread" layouts which span two pages.
It's look something like this depending on the image size and theme and layout used:

  • How does one print single photos using iPhoto. I keep getting an error message:No Available Themes

How does one print single photos using iPhoto. I keep getting an error message:No Available Themes

You need to reinstall iPhoto. To reinstall iPhoto delete the current application and, on all Macs with Snow Leopard or earlier installed, all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the:
    HD/Library/Receipts folder (10.5 and earlier)
    or from the /var/db/receipts/  folder (10.6) .
Deleting receipts is not necessary if your Mac came with Lion or later preinstalled.
Then install iPhoto from the source it came from originally.

Is there any way to watermark or add a copyright line to photos in iPhoto?

It can be done in Aperture or with an app like these

  • Is there any way to add text or arrows onto photos in iPhoto when creating a book?

I am creating a photo book (Album), in iPhoto, in Projects. There are some place where it would be helpful if I could draw an arrow on the Photo to indicate certain places. I also would like to add text onto a photo in the book. This is as well as typing in the 'text box' provided. It needs to be on the actual photo in the book. Is this possible? I am using Version 9.5.1 which i think is the latest and i am running on Maverick on my iMac.

There is no way to add anything to the face of a photo in iPhoto at all You will need an extenral editror for that kind of work. You can add text and arrows etc with Preview, already on your Mac or with apps like these:
    Seashore (free)
    The Gimp (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Pixelmator ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

    Hi Cody\'sgirl,
If you are having issues emailing photos directly from iPhoto, you may want to double check the email account information that is set in iPhoto. You may find the following article helpful (the section below is about setting up a new account, but it should be the same location to check existing account info):
To set up a Photo Mail account:
Choose iPhoto > Preferences, and then click Accounts. If you’re in full-screen view, move your pointer to the top of the screen to make the menu bar appear.
Click the Add button in the lower-left corner.
Click Email, and then click Add.
Choose your email service provider. If your service provider isn’t listed, choose Other.
Type the requested information. If you use the Mail application included with OS X, some account information might be filled in already. If you’re not sure what to type, contact your service provider.
You can set up more than one Photo Mail account by repeating these steps for each account. When you send an email, you can change the outgoing account by clicking the From pop-up menu and choosing an account.

  • IPhoto library still 20GB in size, but only shows 500 photos in iPhoto

    HELP!
My iPhoto library (which is placed on an external HDD) is about 20GB in size. Unfortunately, everytime I open iPhoto now it has forgotten about 9,500 photos. I know that they are still there due to the size of the file, but iPhoto will not read all of them. If I create a new library and import the old one in to the program all photos are recovered but I lose all of my albums both on the computer and online. Any suggestions?!!?

    John:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It sounds like there was an interruption of some sort, maybe between the external HD and the computer, when accessing the library and the library's database file, Library6.iPhoto, has been damaged.
You can try rebuilding the library as follows: launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
If that doesn't resurrect the library you may have to start over with a new library and import just the Originals folder from the old library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
To recover from similar problems in the future see the tip at the end of my signature below.
    Happy Holidays
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • What wireless infrastructure needs to be available to share photos using iPhoto Beam?

I'm taking the kids to visit granma. Granma has no wifi in her house (and onyl dial up internet). I want teh kids to be able to shoot photos on their iPhones and beam them to me on my iPad using iPhoto's Beam capability.
Option #1 - If I take an Airport Express to granma's, can I simply plug it in and will this give me sufficent infrastructure to have iPhoto Beam work among my iDevices?
Option #2 - Alternatively, can I use the Personal Hot Spot functionality of my iPad to set up a wifi network and will this give me sufficent infrastructure to have iPhoto Beam work among my iDevices?
Option #3 - Does anyone know of a battery powered wifi device that I could use to make this work?
I'm looking for quick and easy.

To beam photos with iPhoto for iOS you need two iOS devices both running iPhoto for iOS. You can beam using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. If the location does not have Wi-Fi use the Bluetooth option.
