Add a CD Drive, now Eject button doesn't work

I am very new to Mac so if this is easy to fix sorry.
My G4 only had one CD ROM drive so I added a second to the bay. However once starting up the system the eject button did not work. I took out the added drive and set things back to how it was. Now the button still does not work. How can I get the button to work. I can't even get a CD in the drive with out it.

One of the reasons I ask that is that all G4s which have an external button on the optical drive door were designed for only one optical drive, with the second (lower) bay designed for a Zip drive. If yours is one of these, how did you get the second optical drive into the lower bay?
In general, the external button on G4 optical drive doors works indirectly - it is a plastic part, designed so that pushing on the button causes an arm/lever to press the actual eject button on the face of the optical drive itself. It is possible that arm got misaligned (or even broken) during reassembly of the case parts. You can examine it and test it fairly easily by carefully prying open the external door - be gentle; you are pulling against a mild spring.

Update for Windows was run this morning---it actually made me run it twice. I was initially able to use my phone but now I get nothing but the battery/power cord symbol. The power button doesn't work at all. I have tried soft boot of the down volume and power button. Seems to reboot but same screen appears. I cannot access anything on the phone. Is there any help on this?

Based on the two attempts to process, I would have to say there was a problem with both install attempts. You may need to process a factory reset. Which model device do you have?

Now playing button doesn't work

Hello,
I'm using a Verizon iPhone 4 w/ iOS 5.0. When I'm listening to music and searching through my music library the now playing button the top right hand corner stops working. When I hit the "now playing" button nothing happens so the only way to get to the now playing screen is to choose that song from the library again. Similarly, once I'm able to get the song on the now playing screen, the back arrow in the top left hand corner stops working so there's now way to get back into the music library? Any ideas? Please let me know if anything needs clarification. Thank you.

The "Now Playing" button in the Music media browser intermittently fails to take me to the "Now Playing" screen.
I've noticed that if I hit the "Now Playing" button multiple times when it is unresponsive, then when I do manage to get to the "Now Playing" screen, I have to press the "Back" button multiple times before I can get back to the Music media browser.
This suggests that although the "Now Playing" button seems unresponsive during the bug's behaviour, it is actually instantiating multiple "Now Playing" screens that must all be cleared before navigating back to the media browser.
I am running iOS 5.1 on an iPhone 3GS.

E63 Contacts button doesn't work

Just updated my E63 firmware to 200.21.012 (18-06-2009; RM-450). Now 'Contacts' button doesn't work anymore. When I press 'Contacts' button, screen blinks, nothing else happens. Cannot view my Contact List by any other way either. However I can access the Contact List when trying to compose a new SMS/Email. Had no luck with 3 Australia and Nokia Australia Customer Support. Any help to fix this issue is great appreciate.

The best option is to perform a reset 1) *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data 2) *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data. If you replace the backup you made, place all, except the settings and install "Conversation" from Nokia Beta Labs.

Can't Add Credit Card (submit button doesn't work)

Hey. Recently come across a problem trying to add my credit card so I could buy a Twitter app that works with Twitters new authorization.
The submit button doesn't work. It is still there, but it is unclickable, it doesn't load up anything, or do anything. It doesn't change to being clickable at any time.
If it helps, I have the Palm Pre, I'm with O2 (UK).
Can anyone help?

This sounds like a credit card related issue. Has anything about your credit card changed, like a new expiration data? You can go to App Catalog, tap the drop-down menu, select Preferences and Accounts, then choose the account name, enter your profile password, tap continue, When the Edit Credit Card screen appears, re-enter the credit card number and confirm that the remaining info is valid or enter any new information, then submit.

Since replacing hard drive, "restore previous session" button doesn't work, can only do it through history tab. Also will not start up from task bar icon.

Hi, been using Firefox for some years, had to replace hard drive recently and re loaded Firefox. Since then, the restore previous session button doesn't work, but I can do it from the History tab. Also Firefox itself won't start from the task bar or desktop, only the start menu.

I ereased my external drive now time machine doesn't back up. What should I do? the reason I ereased was because backups wouldn't finsh because of disk error. I did disk repair. Still wouldn't back up so ereased the back up drive. Now nothing appears on it. On the internal drive of my imac in Appllications Timemachine is still there. When I click on it it goes to a screen that looks like a night sky and nothing more happens. Do I need to download some software?

Upgraded to iOS7 on my iPad Mini and now the mute button doesn't work

I upgraded to iOS7 on my WiFi only iPad Mini and now the mute button doesn't work. It toggles between Ringer on and off and of course, there is no ringer on my WiFi iPad. Same thing happens in the control panel when I switch functions and try to mute the sound there. It used to toggle between Volume on and off. Anyone know how to fix this?

I would place the iPhone in a big bowl of white rice, rather than in a baggie. That's what my brother did with his iPod touch that got wet, and it fixed it. The iPod touch works perfectly fine now, and the bowl is better because while the rice soaks up any wetness or condensation, the openness of the bowl gives way for evaporation.
A good idea would also be to take out your SIM card, if at all possible. Put it back in when you're ready.

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

4th gen iPod home button doesn't work

well here's the story:
since i've had my ipod (the christmas of '12), it has been pretty much fine, seemed uncrackable etc.
so early this week, out of the blue, i go to take my ipod out from bag and it was (on and) cracked. shocked, i didn't know what to think. but to prevent little pieces of glass from falling out from the cracks, i decided to cover it up with tape (the normal clear tape). this seemed to be doing a good job to hold me off until i have enough to replace the screen.
my ipod was working perfectly fine for the day, when suddenly, next thing i know, my home button doesn't work, it's stuck. i have the alternative home button right now ( the whatever-button), but honestly, it bothers me a whole lot and i can't stand it.
does anyone have an idea how i can fix my home button? and if the cracks have anything to do with the now nonworking button? the cracks are all around the button, so i've been lead to believe this might be the case?

Device Manager ! FN button doesn't work

Portege R835-P56X Bios updated to Version 3 The laptop came with 64 Bit but I did a clean install with Windows 7 32 Bit because many of my programs and games didn't work with 64 Bit.
I can't install Toshiba Value Added Package,Toshiba PC Health Monitor and Toshiba eco Utility because they are 64 Bit.Pressing the FN button doesn't work,it does nothing at all using 32 Bit.With 64 Bit it worked fine with screen icons coming up when I pressed it.I wonder if the FN button only work in 64 Bit or maybe Toshiba Value Added Package contains the FN button driver?If anyone knows where to get Toshiba Value Added Package 32 Bit that may fix this problem,please let me know thanks.
I have a problem in Device Manager where it's showing ! Other Devices PCI Simple Communications Controller.I took a screen shot of Device Manager with 64 Bit installed just incase I ran into problems.Looking at the 2 Device managers side by side 32 vs 64 it looks like Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter is missing from the 32 Bit Device Manager.
I'm assuming this is Intel Wireless Display but I'm not 100% sure.Because every time I run Intel Wireless Display I get this error message.Unable to load the Intel My WiFi Technology Dll file
Anyway there is no Intel Display driver for 32 Bit so I had to download that from Intel website.There is however Intel Wireless Display for 32 Bit which I have installed but the ! in device manager remains.So I uninstalled Intel Wireless Display and downloaded the Wireless Display driver 32 Bit from Intel website hoping that might fix the problem.But the ! in device manager remains.
I have also tried windows update but it can't find any driver for Hardware.I have added 2 screen shots in Attachments

Well after alot of searching on Google I have finally found out what this PCI Simple Communications Controller is.
It's the Intel Management Engine Interface and lucky for me there is a 32 Bit driver.Now I have no more ! in Device Manager and I have uploaded an updated screen shot.
But now there are 3 questions.
1 What happened to the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter?It was listed twice in 64 Bit but doesn't show up in 32 Bit Device Manager.
2 Why do I still get the error message when starting Intel Wireless Display?Unable to load the Intel My WiFi Technology Dll file even though I have found the driver for ! in Device Manager
3 Why doesn't the FN button work?It worked fine in 64 Bit but in 32 Bit it does absolutely nothing.The same goes for the touchpad on/off button which worked fine before in 64 Bit.But now with 32 Bit presing it doesn't turn the touchpad on or off,It does nothing.I hope Toshiba releases drivers for both of these features.
