How do I add a Google Map widget onto iWeb now that the Mobileme is closed?

Create .kml based google map in iWeb
Using iWeb 08, I can easily and successfully insert google maps into my pages using the web widget. I am then limited to an address though for the base map.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to insert a google earth based .kml file in iWeb so that when a user opens the page, the desired placemarks etc... are displayed and available?
If so, how might I go about accomplishing this?

Don't use iweb2 google map widget.
Instead, go to google map, enter the GPS coordinates, then add it using HTML Snippet. See this thread:

Inserting Google map into iweb page
Hello
I have just bought iWeb 2, and used it to start a website at http://web.mac.com/peterdewit/toymaker/Home.html. (it comes up if you leave the end bit off!)
I followed what seemed to be incredibly simple instructions to create a Google map. It looked so easy I thought it was too good to be true. Unfortunately that turned out to be the case!
After more than one hour I gave up. A map of 1 Infinite Loop Cupertino California was determined to remain as the star attraction of my Location page. Even my wooden Royal Danish Life Guard and Grenadier Guards Drum Major couldn't remove it!
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Any help gratefully accepted.

Sometime ago, I read in this forum about somebody having problems with the default email address used by iWeb for the "email me" button. It seems to get this from your personal information in "Address Book" which you filled in when you first opened the application.
If you didn't do this, it is probably still using the Apple Computer Inc. information.
Try trashing the Apple entry and make sure your own "user" one is up to date with your correct address, email etc.

suddenly the map has disappeared and an advert for mobilme has appeared ..... even when trying in iweb to put it back before uploading, it doesn t come back.
anyone seen anything like it and any way to correct it?
Markexactly the same problem here. I have just deleted my map for now. Judging by all the other topics we have got off lightly - something major has gone wrong at macs end but they haven't bothered to tell anyone. despite the fact that we all visit the mac homepage, get rss news feeds etc.........

How to add the "Google Maps" - Custom Component

with the SP01 and the new SDK examples I wanted to test some - especially the Maps Component. But when dragging it to my Preview Windows nothing happens besides the loading animation (s. screenshot).

Add multiple location google map
How can I add a Google map with more than one location. I have 2 biz locations, but I do not see a way to have multiple biz locations on same map. Can I have more than one address? How do I do it?

No, well of course the Google map widget will not work any longer - it was linked to MobileMe and MobileMe went over a year ago now and all info for the widget was stored on the MobileMe servers.
You can add a Google Map to your site, but you need to go directly to Google and enter your details and then copy and paste the resultant code directly into an ordinary html snippet on your web page and then click Apply and you'll have your Google map.
Alternatively, do a Google search for other available maps and you'll need to do the same thing by copying and pasting the code directly into an html snippet and clicking Apply. -

1) We do already have a disclaimer1 tagged to all outside emails (referring to Our company and its policies - the usual one)
2- If I add a disclaimer2 to add the Googlemaps link like above - what do I have to do to sort the order like i.e - a message sent to outside should look like a)message body, b)the Sender Signature, c) Disclaimer1 : company rules etc textxxxxxxx,
d) Our office location (disclaimer2).
3- I just realize I can edit existing disclaimer 1 and add the map link at the end, now the dream: is there a way to hyperlink it under a text:

Problem With Google Map Widget
I'm trying to add a google map widget to a web page and having some problems setting my exact location. I live in a rural area so I can't just type in my address. I figured I would be able to put in the Latitude & Longitude insead, but that does not work.
Is there a way to set the Latitude & Longitude? Or, is there a way to move the marker so I can get it exactly where I want it? I tried several key commands and was not able to do that either.

Google Map markers text not formated properly in FireFox
I'm using the Blueprints Ajax Map Viewer component to add a Google Map to one of my pages. This is too cool! It really makes using Google Maps easy.
However I have a display problem in FireFox. The map has MapMarkers with markup. When you click on a marker the Info Window "balloon" is displayed with the markup text. In IE, the Info Window is nicely wrapped. However, in FireFox, the text is displayed one word per line. So in IE it looks like:

Now that MobileMe has closed I cannot use Google Maps.
