Add a Hyper link sort of on char

Hello
Is there a way where we can enter a hyper link sort of type against a char which will contain the information about that chart. Like what i mean is that if a free char is dragged and dropped in and the user wants to know what is this free char about then can a hyper link or something be added against the char so that the user can get information regarding that char.
Please let me know
thanks

Hello,
This question was asked nearly two years ago! Like the original questioner, I have searched and searched for instruction for hyperlinking an image in mail.app. When I select the image in the body of an email and go to the edit menu to add a hyperlink, the link simply replaces the photo. When I cntrl/click on the image, there is no option to add or edit a link.
Can someone assist? Or confirm that this simple task is not possible in mail.app? Or suggest a plug in?
thanks!

  • Basic Flash question: add skin and still keep hyper link

    Using CS4 Creative Suite. I little or no action script skills.
    I created a 2 minute flash .fla file. At the end I added a button that when clicked, opens a window to another site. When I exported as an .swf file, the button worked fine. When I added the .swf file to an html page it worked fine too. The problem came when I wanted to add a skin with video controls.
    I went through the tutorial which says I need to import the my video as a FLV or F4V file. The ony way I could do that was to export my FLA file as a MOV file and convert it to a FLV file in Adobe Media Encoder CS4. But when I did that I lost my link at the end.The video controls work great but how do I add the hyper link back in?
    And why the heck can't one export a FLV file from Flash?
    Thanks!

    (this message is so old the responses were lost during an adobe conversion a few years ago.)
    the answer to the op's issue, is that you can't create an flv that executes actionscript.  however, you can create an flv that contains cuepoints and the cuepoints can trigger actionscript to execute.
    so, the op should add a cuepoint to the end of the flv (or, if using as3, just use an Event.COMPLETE event listener for the flvplayback component) to detect the end of the flv and trigger the navigateToURL code.

  • Adding a hyper link to form

    I have created a fill form with Live Cycle Designer and would like to add a hyper link button that opens a new page. I am not sure what to do once I have selected the Button field object to execute this function.

  • In browser editing: Can my client add new images with hyper-links to their websites without having to replace images already there?

    My client would like to be able to add new images to their site themselves and use them as hyper-links to external sites without having to replace an old image with the new one (or blank place holding images - far from ideal). Is there ANY way that this is possible? They do not wish to update and add new images/links regularly and it is certanly not intended to be used as a blog or way of being able to constantly keep content new and fresh otherwise I would set them up with a blog account and add that to the site. It is merely a way of adding links to other local businesses every once in a while.
    Please see the page they wish to update... Friends. (Please excuse the layout... the customer will not be able to resize or edit the images themselves and wishes to add them as-is!)
    Thanks in advance for any help. If anybody knows how I can ask an Adobe official mod, that would be great... that, or make a request for a future addition in an update?
    Warm regards,
    Ben Gathercole

    Hi Andria,

  • In APEX clicking the hyper link doesn't trigger session timeout page

    Hi All,
    I have a question about the session time out in APEX application. I have created a simple APEX application. In the SQL report region section, i have code like this:
    SELECT DOC_Name, DOC_URL,
    '<a href="' || DOC_URL || ' target="_blank"/">Download file</a>' pdf_link
    FROM test_table
    where emp_number =00010001
    When user clicks on the hyper link, it will display the destination page to user(for example if DOC_URL = 'http://forums.oracle.com', it will display the oracle forum page in a new browser).
    But the issue is that, after user's session timeout (I set for 240 seconds through Shared Components>Edit Security Attributes, i set max the session timeout for example 240 seconds), when i click on this hyperlink, it doesn't trigger my session timeout page and it still displays the page (oracle forum page).
    Why in APEX clicking the hyper link doesn't trigger session timeout page after the user session timeout???
    how to implememt or fix to trigger the session timeout page after clicking on the hyperlinks?
    (BTW, our APEX version is 3.2)
    Thanks!

    Hi Lily,
    the reason for that behavior is that APEX is not involved anymore if you click on an external link. That's completely handled by your browser.
    To involve APEX timeout handling you could redirect to a specific page in your application which performs the final redirect.
    For example:
    1) Create a new page 999
    2) Create hidden page item P999_URL
    3) Create a before header PL/SQL process with the following source
    owa_util.redirect_url('http://'||:P999_URL);
    apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := TRUE;If you want to embed a link, create a link to page 999 and set the page item P999_URL to forums.oracle.com
    You could also add a white list into the above code to verify that you are just redirecting to valid URLs, so that nobody is using your trusted application URL for phishing attacks.
    Hope that gives you a direction
    Patrick

  • In SharePoint 2013 navigation, is it possible to add a custom link only to the left-hand menu without getting it in to the top menu dropdown?

    If I want to add a custom link to the left-hand navigation menu In a SharePoint 2013 sub-site, it can be done by visiting
    Site Settings à Navigation section and adding the link under
    Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting section. However, this will automatically add a matching link to the top menu as a dropdown.
    (Note that Global Navigation is set to “Display the same navigation items as the parent site” where “Parent is using Structural Navigation.” and Current Navigation is set to “Structural Navigation:
    Display only the navigation items below the current site”)
    Is there a way to just add a custom link only to the left-hand menu without getting it in to the top menu dropdown?

  • RWB - Configuration hyper link

    In RWB,
    I clicked on Configuration hyper link and it asks me for user name and PW.
    For the PW, it takes only first 8 characters.
    Then I tried with a user with 8 character PW and failed to login.
    I am not sure what r the roles req to do that.
    -Naveen.

    Hi,
    For the configuration hyperlink in RWB, it is taking only first 8 chars as pw.
    So I changed the PW on the ABAP stack.
    Now I am able to log in to the  RWB - Configuration hyper link

    When curser is on hyper link the URL will display on the bottom of the screen in the background.(where done is located when site is loaded) How do you control this function?

    Do you want to control that via code on a web page to prevent visitors from seeing the link or do you ask as a Firefox user?<br />
    Tools > Options > Content : JavaScript > Advanced > Allow Scripts to:
    [ ] "Hide the status bar"
    [ ] "Change the status bar text"
    The Status Bar will be gone in Firefox 4.0 and is replaced by the (View > Toolbars) Add-on bar that extensions can use.

  • Portal page hyper link

    Hi,
      I want to create a Hyper link ,onclicked on it it will open a URL iview.
    Say my Hyperlink named " Hello Clicked " on my portal Page.,On clicking on it it will open an URL iView.
    Plz share ur thoughts and how to solve it.

    You can call any iView using Navigation Target...
    Check this link for details

    http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/portal?
        NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/myFolder/myRole/myIview
    After ROLES:// you should provide PCD path of the iView.For using Navigation Target you should add the iView in the Role.
    Or In the iView Tray(top right of the iView below TLN),where you see Personalize..
    You also have Open in New window,which opens the your iView in new window. In the new window
    you can use the URL  from browser

  • How to hide, disable or delete "Add a new Link"?

    Hello Community
        Using Sharepoint 2010 Server and the UI you can create a link on a page
    and if you click the link a page comes up where you can add numerous links
    with its corresponding url by clicking "Add new link" on the bottom.
        The users shouldn't be able to create their own links and urls the user
    should only be able to select link that was put on the page for them to select.  Also there is
    as checkbox associated with the link and on top of all of them there is a column
    heading with a checkbox too and if you click the checkbox with the column heading the ribbon exposes
    a tool to create a new item and create a new folder.
        How can you prevent the user from creating their own link and exposing those selections
    on the ribbon when the checkbox is selected on the heading?
        Thank you
        Shabeaut

    Hello John from Cinncinati
        Okay.
         Surrounding the Ribbon I added:
             <SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl PermissionsString="ManagePermissions" runat="server">
              </SharePoint:SPRibbon>
        I was able to use it because now if a "List" is clicked on the page no Contextual Tab Group appears
     which is where all of the List's properties are made available to the user.
        It fitted in this scenario because although it removed the navigation button (the navigation button wasn't
     needed here because that page was the entry point) it left the graphic design still intact.
        With respect to a List, when you want to replace Quick Launch with your own links, from Site Actions,
     More Options, "List"  you can add a link which when clicked takes you to a page where you can create sort of
    as many links as necessary one underneath another with their own url corresponding for each.
        The problem is underneath the last link there is a "+" sign followed by "Add a new Link" but you don't want the user
    to click on that "+" sign because this is your sort of "menu" of links that you gave the user to select from.
        That means I still have one problem although the <SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl got rid of the
    Contextual Tab Group properties, when the user clicks a link and see the list of links I provided the "+" sign is
    still there so the user can still create their own links.
        If we are on the same page now, do you have any idea how to get rid of that "+" sign with the "Add a new link" at
    the bottom of the links?
        Thank you
         Shabeaut

  • Hyper links within .RDF reports

    I want to creat a button on the report that will kick the users back to the homepage (index.html) they are running the reports from. i created a regular back button with
    TARGET=<FORM ><INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="Back" onClick="history.go(-1);return true;"> </FORM>
    in the Add hyper links palatte but i can't get the same to work for my home button
    TARGET=<form><INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="Back to SOE Reporting" onClick="http:\\sddb5\index.html);return true;"></form>
    any sugjestions???

    hello,
    i would assume that this is not the correct javascript-code to invoke a URL.
    onClick="location='http:\\sddb5\index.html';return true;"
    to load a document into the current window.

  • How do I add URI web link with custom tooltip like "CLICK HERE TO UPDATE" instead of URI web link in tooltip.

    How do I add URI web link with custom tooltip like "CLICK HERE TO UPDATE" instead of URI web link in tooltip.

    You've probably found an answer to this by now, but I think this has been addressed in another forum -- The link below suggested using a button and adding the tooltip to the button.
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/304974?start=0&tstart=0
    Sounds like it would work but I haven't actually tried it.
    Good luck~!

  • How do I get firefox to display images clearly? I've got Windows 2000 Pro and Firefox 3.6.6. Internet Explorer shows images clearly, so I'm sure I have the correct graphics driver. Do I need a plugin or add-on of some sort? When I go to "updates", it

    When I use Firefox the images and logos don't show up clearly/correctly. I'm using Windows 2000 Pro. and just installed Firefox 3.6.6. I'm sure I have the right graphics driver as I'm able to see the images and logos clearly in Internet Explorer. I only have the "default plugin 1.0.0.15" installed. I'm thinking that I'm missing a plugin or add-on of some sort, but I'm not sure which one(s). When I go to "updates" it says there were no updates available. When I go to "Add-ons" it gives a list of Add-ons but I'm not sure which would help my issue. Any help would be appreciated.:)

    hyper link of public image(hyperlink or image) can not be saved on windows server 2012 and sharepoint 2010 problem, is this a bug?
    thanks for any reply.
    Rosone

    It is not a bug, you might be using IE in Windows server 2012 and and browser might be restricting your site actions to respond properly.
    Check this in a different browser or access site in a differ OS.
