Add a new field in basic data tab in PPOME for a position

Hello Evryone,
I want to display a Job ID field in Basic Data tab when displaying a position. Is this something to do in config? If yes, could anyone please guide me how to do it? Right now I can see only the Job description, but no ID.

Hi
Job ID field will not be displayed in Basic Data Tab. That you can see in the top hald of the portion under <-- Mark.
The details you can see are
Task Assignment - Executive
Code-Exe
ID C 50000084
Valid from 30.03.2007
Valid to Unlimited
First select the Job "Executive" and press enter, then you can find the details in the first half of the screen.

Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document header level. It is described in the section "Transfer of the customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAK_FUELLEN.
USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document item level. It is described in the section "Copy customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAP_FUELLEN.

Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at the level of the sales document schedule lines.

Screen exit for MM01 to add additional fields to basic data tab .

We are working on the SAP version ECC 5.0 . Our requirement is to add additional fields to the general data section of the basic data1 tab for the tcode MM01 . I have gone through many previous queries in SDN but not able to figure out what exactly the process should be . All I could figure out is to start the process from appending the structure to MARA for the additional fields . Then follow the steps in the SPRO .
Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence
Assign Secondary Screens
Maintain Order of Main and Additional Screens
Assign Screen Sequences to User/Material Type/Transaction/In
Define How Maintenance Statuses Are Determined in Data Trans
Create Program for Customized Subscreens
I am not able to comprehend what we are trying to do in these steps .
Can anyone explain me in detail what we are trying to do in the whole process ?

Hi varun,
Create the append structure on the MARA table.
The SAP note 44410 describes how to add the new fields to the screen and how the updating will work.
1.     Make a copy of function group MGD1to ZMGDI as stated inthe Ossnote using program COPYMGDI.
2.             Goto Se38 enter program name SAPLZMGDI Click Display and goto> program-> other object---> enter screen number '0001' and add your fields to the subscreen which should apper on the the general data section of the basic data1 tab for the tcode MM01
2.     Make the changes stated in SAP Note.
3.     After make the changes the functional analyst will need to make some configuration changes.
4.     SPRO -> Logistic General -> Material Master -> Configuring Materal Master -> Define Structure of Data Screens Sequence.
5.     Select SSq = 21 then click on Subscreens select Basic DATA1
6.     Enter in the new screens that were built
7.     Change the row that was create putting in the program (function group program) that was created in step 2.

I was changing the customer fields of transaction BP with transaction eewb.
I was working in a specific project (ZBUPA) as you can see in the following images. I don´t know what I've changed but now the icon of the enhancement of the project is like a red broken box (Errors occurred if you look for it at the legend), and the task has got a prohibit icon (Processed with Errors). Like this:

How to modify (add a new field) existing SOAP data source ?

Dear Friends,
I am getting data from Legacy databases (from different Views) mapped to the BW through XI.
There is an existing SOAP Data source which is mapped to the non-R/3 source system Views through XI.
My question is:
Now I wanted to add a new field to the existing SOAP Data source, which will be mapped to the newly added field in the source system by XI.
Please advice how could I modify the existing SOAP data source?

My plan is to add the new InfoObject(field)/BIC/ZXXX in the Datasource --> Map that field to the Info Object Zxxx in Comm Str. --> Extras (menu) --> Create BW Data source with SOAP connection --> Regenerate the PROXY --> so that now the XI guys could map the new Infoobject in my Datasource to the new field in the Legacy database tables
But why is that I am not able to add a new field in the Datasource ? I am trying this way: RSA1 --> Infosource tab --> Dbl. click on the existing Datasource --> here...I am trying to add new field in the Datasource...
is there any other special place where I could add a new field to the existing SOAP Datasource ?

Hi,
The procedure to create the new VOFM.
1. Go to VOFM transaction
2. Page down until you find a new spot on the page to put in the VOFM number and description.
3. Put in the VOFM number and the description of the VOFM.
4. Now the VERY IMPORTANT part of the process. Double click on the VOFM description not the VOFM number to create this as a Development/Correction and not as a repair. If you double click on the number then this copies some existing code and prompts you for a repair.
5. Activate and generate the VOFM routine. Note: Configuration must be setup by the OM team for this step.
for example Go to the routine number that needs to be copied.
Put your cursor on the routine number field that needs to be copied.
Overwrite that number with your new routine number and hit enter.
The new routine will be created as a copy of the old routine and you can modify the new routine as you need it.
Ex.
You have to copy routine 104 to 904
Routine number Description Active
104 Bill.bus.item data X
Put your cursor on 104 and then change it to 904 and hit enter.
904 will be created as a copy of 104 and you can make your changes in 904.
Don't forget to activate it after you are done.

Add 2 new fields to an existing ABAP query in a particular position

Hello,
I have added 2 new fields to an existing ABAP query. These have been successfully added and the query is also executing.
But these 2 new fields are displaying at last. I need to add these fields in a particular column position.
Also I need to change the heading of these 2 new fields.
I tried to do so from the basic list, layout design from SQ01.
But I could not.... whatever I do.. the 2 new fields are displayed at the end of the list...
Please help me

My requirement is to add Z fields in the additional data tab in transaction /SAPSLL/CL_CUS_02 of GTS. I would also like to know If its possible to create a new tab all together in /SAPSLL/CL_CUS_02 where in we can add fields from a custom table.

Hi Koustubh,
As Dave pointed out, there is a BadI for extra tab on declaration Item and Header.
There is an example implementation already available in the System. I believe that 1 BadI will no be enough for what you need.
UI enhancement BadI uses standard CUHD and CUIT tables to store the extended data ( via table APPEND ), in order to save content to Z* table you will need a separate BaDI.
Also, If you intend to use this extra data in outbound message / declaration Idoc, extra BadI has to be used and also the basic IDoc type will need to be extended with your Z* segment. Thats probably 2-3 BadIs working in tandem.
Can you tell what is the purpose of the extra data / extra tab ?

Add new fields on Basic Data of Header of BID INVITATIONS and other screens. I found many notices sap that it indicates that I can use badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2, both how does it?
I understand that method MODIFY_MODE_QUOT is due to implement because he is the one that allows to use in way edition the screen. In this method only CV_MODE ='E'.
In which method I assign the structure with the new fields or customer fields?
In where I indicate to him in that screen must add the new fields or customer fields?
I need to implement more methods to add the new fields the headed one of basic data of BID INVITATIONS.

Add a new field in CNMASS

Hi,
In CNMASS, I would like to add a new field for the activites in the "Mass Maintenance : Field view" (screen shown after selecting the "Enter field value for mass changes" button in the selection screen).
I notice that the displayed fields are in the structure CNMASS_NETWORK_ACTIVITY.
Can I modify this structure ?
Anyone know a process to add a new field in CNMASS ?

Hi You can certainly modify the structure mentioned below , but to change the selection screen just changing the structure will not help . As you need to find out from where this selection screen is getting populated ...You need to edit the logical data base for this ......more information regarding editing logical database can be found at . PSJ is the LDB getting used for this transaction .

Hi All,
We need to add couple of Data fields to Order Header ODS which gets loaded daily in Production through Delta mechanism enabled in R/3.
Currently there are around 3 million records in the ODS.
Wanted to know how do I go about it.

Hi All,
Here is the exact solution as explained to me by my senior consultant.
1. Add 2 new fields in the ODS in the Development System.
2. Stop the scheduling of the load & After that completely empty the Delta Q in R/3. As mentioned that there are several loads further happening through this ODS which are Delta and also it itself gets loaded with Delta from R/3. Hence we need to clear / empty Delta Queue.
3. Once this is done now we transport the ODS from Development to test / quality to Production System and once this is done. We will again remap the DataSources and then again re-activate the Update / Transfer Rules.
4. Now Do a Re-Initialization of the Delta Queue and henceforth the ODS will get loaded with data in the new fields but the history data will not have any data for those new fields (This is what I was unaware of earlier).
5. We also need to add this new fields in the Data Targets which are getting loaded from this Modified ODS. And then Empty that Delta Queue and then do Re-Initialization for the same as well.
This is what I got to know and we shall be doing this in short time. Hope this works fine. As there are million of Records which we do not want to delete.
