Add a second smart phone to my account

I have an individual account with my HTC incredible(450 plus the data package) I'd like to add a second phone (iphone) and change over to the family plan. Can I do this? What would the new charges be? I do get a special discount from my company, but it's not a company phone. Any info is greatly appreciated

Yes, you can upgrade your plan and add another line at any time.  When you add the line, you have the option to sign a new 2-year contract and pay a reduced price for a new phone, so you could purchase the iPhone at that time.  Your new line will have its own contract, with an end date different from your primary line.
The new charges would include the cost of your new Family Share calling plan, the mandatory $30/2GB or greater data package on the iPhone's line, and any texting or other features you decide to add to the second line.  You can see the costs by doing a "mock" upgrade through MyVerizon.  Just log in, go to change plan, and choose to add a line.  Then you can step through the process, and see your total costs at the end before you accept the changes and place the order.
Your employee discount will still continue to apply, but generally, it only applies to the primary line on the account.  That means the $9.99/month "add a line" and any features on the second line probably won't recieve any type of discount.  You can contact Human Resources at your company to get the exact details of what your discount covers.
